i'm 100h;inese (look at pics in my profile if u want) and i've been mistaken for Filipino usually, because of my tennis tan, and sometimes vietnamese, korean, and Japanese. one idiot said i looked Half black =.=
but what pisses me off the most is that when some Blondies ask "are u vietnamese?" or something and i respond with "nah im Chinese." they ALWAYS say "yea same thing" (and roll their eyes like a B****) How is it 'the same thing' i mean totally different culture and different language....

i've also been called:
philipino mexican(seriously, some kid walked up to me and started talking in spanish) korean(can u believe they got to that b4 japanese?) vietnamese(again, how do u do that?) malaysian(seriously peoples, JAPANESE!!!) cambodian once(someone was listening to asian pride. first thing that popped into their head)
the only person who ever got it was this one really scary goth kid and his friend. i don't even like them! my best friend asked during like the last week of school what race i was. JAPANESE!!!!

Ah, I could say a million things about this... No offense to Chinese people, but I get mistaken for a Chinese person all the time, and it bugs the hell out of me. I think it's because China is the largest country in Asia, so people tend to assume most Asians are Chinese.... It frustrates me because they generalize. Then people go on to ask if I'm Korean...or Vietnamese... And then once they hear me say no, they get stuck because I guess they can't think of any more Asian ethnicities.... evil I've been told I look mixed (which I don't quite think I do) and someone said I don't look Japanese (my sister...wtf!) but all my friends say I look Japanese..... And once I tell people I'm Japanese, they tend to go, "Ohhh... yeah, you look Japanese...."

I get mistaken as having more caucasian and native american blood in me than I actually do have because of my long hair (which is an achievement for African-Americans).

AGH! It's happened too many times. People always think that I'm Chinese or some other asian nationality. Once I got really angry because this person tried to guess my nationality, listed every asian country out there except Korea. I felt like writing "I AM KOREAN!" on his forhead.
