Sushii-Princess Oh, Once I saw a TV show with this anti-homosexual parade thingy o.O;; it totally freaked me out, I was so god damn mad. They threw rocks at two boys that were hugging! I find it horrible. "Different is dangerous" BAH! V for Vendetta is a good movie to show people where the world is heading.
... I have seen such an awful lot of discrimination. Especially in my school. And it's horrible, and intimidating. These are just school kids, they don't understand! People use the word "gay" as an insult all the time. A guy in my Visual Communications class said "God damned asians" really loud in class, and that particular class has a lot of asians in it, including the teacher. And I saw that she was hurt by this. And I too get discriminated, for my religion. People also think I'm a lesbian just because I don't read "Dolly" and run around in short shorts.
There is a guy in my class, and he's really nice and popular with the girls but the other boys keep calling him gay as if it's something negative. He says he's not and they just laugh at him. And even if he were gay, would that be a problem? I think not!
RIDICULOUS.
I know! I just so happen to be bi and I get pissed when my friends use "gay" as an insult. And I let them know. They've actually almost stopped using it and when they do, they appologize. They've really gotten better about it.
I think that if people can't stop using "gay" as an insult, gay and bi people should start using "straight" as an insult. Plus it's just funny xd

OHMYGODYOURSIGISSOHOT *__*
xD I actually banned using the word "gay" in my bedroom and bathroom... because I always get pissed when people say it. Which happens a lot e__e Once there was this annoying kid at our house, and he said "That is GAYYY" And I was like "You cant say something is gay! it doesnt have a gender" "Agh! I meant gay in the OTHER way!" "WHAT OTHER WAY? HAPPY? IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH BEING HAPPY!? *Hiss*" "Gay means bad!" "IT MEANS YOU PREFER PEOPLE OF THE SAME GENDER NOW GO PLAY IN TRAFFIC." Something like that xD

People have absolutely as much right to dislike homosexuality as they do to l ike it.
We are just as bad as they are for bashing them for not liking it like they bash us for liking it.
and Yaoi is not Gay (And Yuri is not Lesbians!). There is a Big difference people.
Yaoi/Shounen Ai is an entertainment market/genra for us to enjoy, Homosexuality is an real/actual life-style. When we talk about gay rights, don't mix that with the Yaoi Fandom, it's insulting to GLBT indivituals who are not 'fangirlsfanboys' (as if your saying you aren't even gay/bi/lesbian if you don't acknowledge yuri/yaoi as meaning you, and it works the other way around to. Yaoi/Yuri are entertainment markets made by woman in japan that us in the west (for the most part) have just gotten all googoo over. They have nothing to do with real homosexual issues/lifestyles. The younger generation (yes, you guys) have just tried to adopt it and shift hte term into representing you when in fact it has nothing to do with that)
I myself have been a Yaoi/Yuri fan for 12 years, before the internet even accepted Yaoi and their was only like 20-30 real boy-love websites (and I had one of them, and ForChan had another. And I don't mean 'gay' sites, I mean Yaoi sites). You couldn't make a yaoi site, go to a chatroom and talk about it, or anything or you'd be banned. So please, don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. (and I'm the captain of the Guild too) ---------
Also, For the most part, Only Anime Fans are Yaoi/Shounen Ai Fan's and Anime will always be a sub-culture, a popular one but it is not going to ever rule the world or become some fantastic earth changing movement, Yaoi is a subculture of Anime/Manga, thus making it even smaller and less important in the grand scheme of things.
I'm not saying people shouldnt' respect others opinions and rights, but you gotta think, they have a right to feel and believe the way they want against homosexuality. This is not saying they have any right to 'bash' homosexuals, which is -not- what they all do. Children are cruel, High School and below are particularly, not to offend anyone, full of still maturing people including yourselves. Everything's about who your dating, who's waring what, who's your friend, who isn't your friend, who did what in last hour, that odd kid, the prep kids, the big news, and the looser sand bullies.
Oh and Yaoi is perverted, btw. Just like Porn sorta is. Hey, I think reading smut about two guys or two girls -is- perverted on my part. Most people don't even think about sex as often as we do XD
Shounen Ai/Shoujo Ai is not perverted, it's fluffy puffy stuff.
Now when they say it's perverted, they probably mean 'homosexuality' in general.
I don't know how much sense I just made but It's making me mad to see us, the open-minded ones, bashing other people just like they are to 'us'.
Who thinks that just because someone (not including bashers, and by this I mean they are violent or profane/insulting about it, but saying 'I don't like homosexuality, I think it is immoral, they ahve -EVERY- right to do it') has an opinion against ours means they are evil, stupid, moronic, inside of the box, and dumb? Because those of us who like incest in our fiction are called by some of you as well the same things, and some of us who like Heero/Relena over Heero/Duo are called 'betrayers'. Yada Yada.
Again XD Not sure how much sense I made but, feel free to reply however you want. (Even if I'm captain I won't bite your headoff, but I love debates)
I always take the other side, even if I don't believe in it. Everyone has a right to have their own beliefs and just because someone doesn't support homosexuality doesn't make them an ignorent and 'bad' person.
