Hmm...Well....I don't really remember how I got into liking it. What I do know is that my breaking into it was subtle and slow.
I believe it was one of my friends showing me pictures of soft shounen-ai - that got more "intense" as the months passed. Anyway, I believe it was the pairing of Link and Dark Link, since I am quite a Zelda fan.
I think from there, I explored more and got myself really into it. Now I'm a big fan and in no ways regret any of it. I think it's helped me be more open minded about many things and I'm grateful for that.

My sister, who is Bi, introduced me to yaoi/shonen-ai. I was bored because I had just finished a manga series and wanted to read another so my sister showed me her book case with several volume ones of yaoi, shonen-ai and mangas that were fantasy. I picked up Gravitation and asked her what it was about. She replied, something along the lines of, "Gay guys and a rock band." My first reaction was, eewww, gay guys, which was also the reactions of my friends when I introduced them to manga and anime like that, but my sister just told me to read it and tell her my opinion later. After reading the first book, I thought that the whole thing was crying beautiful crying I totally spent all of my money buying as many of the volumes as I could. After I had run out of money, I did LOTS of chores and my mom would buy me mangas according to her own measurement of what I had earned. So, yeah, my sister introduced me. In turn, I bought the whole series, Gravitation, and then showed my friends who also liked it after I showed it to them. Descendants of Darkness, the anime, was my next series, very mild but also very crying beautiful crying I get very emotional while reading/watching manga/anime......

Well, I found some really good SasuXNaru comics, but I can't download them (parents would kill me) so I look at the screenshots and whatnot. I mostly just look at single images or read long, detailed fanfics. 3nodding

And I was right. 3nodding

When I stumlbed upon yaoi, was when i started to relize i was gay. I admit i was ashamed for having like yaoi (when i still considered myself strait) but i couldnt quell the way i felt about yaoi, and how i feel about men.

I'll give you an exact quote. (I was 14 or 15 at the time.)
"Wow. This is f***ing hot." eek heart
I felt weird about feeling that way though. I thought there must be something wrong with me for liking it. My family are hardcore christians so, yeah.... homosexuals were akin to satan-worshippers and god-help their child if he was one. Eventually, that's how I realized I was gay and I really don't give a damn what my family thinks anymore. 3nodding heart

I was 12-13 when I discovered the magic of Yaoi. <.<
I was reading a fanfic (coughMratedfanficcough) and the summary had no pairings so I decide to read it to check it out;
"Oh my...There both guys?"
*Keeps reading*
"<.< This...This is hot...But wrong...But so hot!!"
"Okay...I'm stopping now, I can't read this" *Already finish reading the fanfic(XD)*
*The day after*
"Got to find me some more of those ficcies" *All happy*
And now I'm addicted. sweatdrop But proud! heart
