The boy who was accompanying her in the alley way was called off on a mission. "I guess I should be heading out too. See yeah" Walking out of the alleyway she really didn't have anything to do. She just got the feeling that the boy wanted to get into a bit of trouble. Trouble she wasn't looking to get into. If she were to do that, she would have to deal with the whole ordeal of going through the consequences, and in itself is a whole other ordeal. So in Shikarie's mind, it was just a whole lot easier to avoid trouble the best she can. With nothing to do, she thought she would see if one of her teammates where home. She really wasn't that far away. After a few short minutes, she would find herself at the front door of a member of the Yamanaka. 'Watch, she's not even been home.' she thought to herself. Raising her right hand the sound of a soft knock on the door could be heard as her knuckles hit the wooden door. Taking one step backward she would give a bit of space between herself and the door frame out of curiosity of whoever would answer the door. As she waited Shikarie would stand there blankly staring at the door.

From the outside of the door, Shikarie would hear the surprise squeak and then: "J-J-J-Just a mo-moment!" She called out to the door.
---Inside the home---
Someone was here. For the first time, for now, she wished someone was home to answer the door. One of Chosuke's parents or Chosuke himself. But no. This was not the case for her. Quickly, she dried her eyes and went to the mirror as she made sure everything looked okay. Of course, it wasn't. Her eyes were red and her cheeks were puffy from the crying. No. No. This was not happening. 'Calm down. Calm down.' She repeated to herself. Why did she have to answer the door like that!? She could've pretended she wasn't home so she wouldn't have to deal with this. Frantically, she looked around for something and came up with...
Absolutely nothing. Because that was the trash she was. With a defeated sigh, she walked to the door, shoulders hunched as she tip toed to peek through the eyehole. When she saw it was a familiar friend, she grimaced and recoiled roughly. Her heart hurts. Everything hurts. She was going to fail Shikarie liked she failed everyone else. With a deep sigh, she straighten up as she had an idea! Her hand unlocked the door as she opened it, "Sorry for taking so long! Was washing my face and got soap in my eyes." Inohachi explained as she opened it a bit more. "Chosuke and his parents are out right now if you were looking for them... I just got back from a mission." Inohachi smiled weakly towards her teammate. She would seem tired and weary. Maybe there was something more. "Is everything okay, Shikarie-kun?"
A squeal could be heard on the other side of the door. Followed but a panicky request for more time in answering the door. Well, it was a clear guess to Inohachi being home. Shikarie waited patiently outside the door. "She sure is taking a long time. What is she doing in there?" She mumbled to herself. Soon enough her question was answered as the door became unlocked and Inohachi's face appeared. At first glance, Shikarie noticed the red eyes but Inohachi was quick to dismiss it as soap being the cause. Funny, she didn't even say anything yet. But the Nara could tell something wasn't right. Inohachi just seemed a bit off."Uh. Okay. Well, I actually came here looking for you. She explained. Inohachi's weak smile didn't ease Shikarie's suspicions of something being wrong. Inohachi even shifted the direction to Shikarie's own well being."I should be the one asking you that question Hachi. I was going to go down to the tea shop and relax a bit. Get your stuff let's go." At first the dark-haired girl had no plans originally and was just going to see what inohachi and chosuke were up to. But after seeing Inohachi she had to improvise.
โ Inohachi โ โ Broken Wings. Never meant to be. โ

Inohachi tilted her head slightly when it seemed like Shikarie actually went out of her way looking for Inohachi. This was odd. When she asked if Shikarei was okay, Shikarie shot back that she should be asking her that. "I'm fine! Just that my eyes botheri---WHHHAA?!" Squawked like a chicken, she cluckered in confusion, "Wha- I- Shi- wha- no-" She brawked on the way as she tried to rush to her room to gather few things and then tried to put her shoes on as she walked out of the door. Forced to stop for a moment to pull them on properly, she managed to get out of the apartment and looked rather disheveled. Used her fingers to comb her hair into puppy ears hair style she usually do, "W-where we going? Is everything okay?" Inohachi asked. Anxiety started to get to her. What if they were going on a mission? She was terrified with the idea. She just got back from a mission and they may go on another one? She can't handle that? Shikarie would noticed that Inohachi started to breathe heavier. "T-t-he H-Hokage did-didn't call u-us... di-did sh-she," stammered Inohachi. The feeling of death washed her over and over again as she was gripping her bag to her chest rather tightly and her pupils were becoming dilated.
By not giving Inohachi a choice in the matter the poor girl started to frantically get her things together. Watching through the opened door all she could do is watch as Inohachi ran around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to hurry. Shikarie couldn't help but break a slight smile and she shifted her weight to one leg and crossed her arms across her chest. She was always such a spaz, always kept things interesting. Once Inohachi was ready Shikarie would just start walking knowing Inohachi would be only a few steps behind. "Geez Hachi, relax."She moaned."No the hokage hasn't called for us. I already told you, we are just going to the tea house to chill. Everything is fiiiine. Why do you keep asking that?" She responded to the obvious panicky Yamanaka. and with that the pair was on their way
Alice and Koetsu would soon find themselves in the Residential District of Konoha. Alice looked towards him and made motion towards the building. "This is the building you'll be staying in here. Obviously we don't just let anyone sleep out on the streets especially the ninja of the village." Alice explained a bit to him. Shall we head to go see your apartment?
Yui would come to the residential district after her fresh time spent at the Falls above them. She was on the hunt for some kind of person that would be able to administer her academy exam, although nobody seemed to be available for her at the moment. By some stretch of luck (or divine intervention), she came across one of the teachers at the academy, Alice. Yui raced towards her, only to discover that she was with another person that the student hadn't seen before. The aspiring puppeteer came to halt halt in front of her while standing at attention while silently handing the woman her handy dandy "please give me an exam" slip, signed in scribbling from the girl.

A young girl quickly came approaching Alice and Koetsu. Confused for a moment, but a smile graced Alice's face as she looked at the girl. "So Cute." She said at first, then was handed the slip that had something about giving her an exam scribbled on to it. Alice's eyes lit up, this would be the first exam she'd have given to anyone! Her smile turned into a bit of a more neutral expression in which she began thinking. What would a good exam be? Lightbulb! "Okay! As you know Kunoichi and Shinobi do not just fight! They do other jobs necessary, and do them as well as they can! They also bond with other ninja too! Your exam is, showing Koetsu around the leaf village!" Alice said with a proud smile on her face. "After that, find me again and I'll sign off on your official accel to genin!"
xXx Koetsu followed his teacher dutifully, happy to be seeing more of his new home. They walked by homes and apartments till the finally reached his own place of living. โIโm good Miss Alice, Iโll head up and get my stuff put inside. You go see the Hokage!โ Well, thatโs what he told her to do before this girl would just run up, handing Miss Alice a slip of paper. โHiya, Iโm Koetsu, its nice to meet ya!โ He would wave at her, grinning, his white teeth shown. He listened to his teacher talk, and noted everything in the back of his head. โOooh! That sounds awesome. So long as you donโt mind me getting my stuff to my apartment first.โ Heโd rub that back of his head, chuckling a bit. โThen we can get started.โ

Yui turned her head towards the boy who spoke. He looked quite flamboyant in his attire, with the mute offering a warm nod in approval. She would have wished him well had she assumed that he might have known sign language. Very few people she came across would practice such an art anyway that she just stopped attempting to try and use it to start a conversation. The academy student would offered a wave and then motion to mouth, as only a few slight noises here and there would sound at. It was almost silent without a choice few soft noises here and there. Alice would soon speak up about her test as Yui stood ready. Her first true mission from the village and it was...showing the newbie around the village? A strange choice, but Yui wasn't one to go and question orders. She smiled upwards to Alice and gave another courageous nod. These streets were dangerous, and she wasn't one to just go and let people get lost in the Village. So it was up to her to make sure that everything was alright.
The youth spun around to Yui and motioned to go into his apartment by using her hand to make little legs that walked up the flight of stairs.

Alice was quite proud of her genius idea. "Okay! You can do this! I believe in you young miss! I will see you both later!" She said to the two of them. It would good for the two of them to be around each other, even if the young girl was going to only be an academy student for a little longer, being around someone of the same status in terms of their rankings would be nice. Alice began to head off towards the Hokage's office. However after feeling a bit dizzy, though not showing it, decided to take a small detour.
xXx Koetsuโs eyes aligned with Yui's. The way they examined him had him scratching the back of his head. He was chuckling nervously, but the look on their face and the nod settled his nerves. โGosh...sheโs really pretty.โ That thought echoed in his head, he was sorta stuck staring. When Yui motioned to their mouth and tried to speak he was a bit awe struck, in a rather dark way. He hadnโt really met someone who was mute, so with a big smile he spoke. โIโve got a notebook you can use if you want, just gotta unpack first.โ
xXxโBye Miss Alice, be safe!โ Theyโd wave goodbye, before turning to Yui, watching how they told him lets go upstairs. โSounds good! Its nice meeting you by the way. We can talk more once uh, I get you that notebook, yeah? Then you can show me your village!โ Koetsu certainly seemed excited, as he carried his luggage to his room. It was a studio apartment, and once inside heโd find a basket of fruits and his own personal key on the kitchen counter. Heโd place his luggage on the table. Heโd dig through one of his bags before he retrieved his extra sketchbook and a pen he didnโt mind parting ways with.
xXxโI hope this helps us communicate. I wish I woulda listened to Mother, she tried getting a tutor thatโd teach me to talk with my hands.โ He was scratching his head again, he felt bad. But thatโs life, lesson learned, maybe he could learn now.

He seemed pretty nice all things considered. Yui watched as Alice would wish them both well before then walking off to do...what was it she was doing again? It was likely something that all academy teachers would have been up to, maybe grading papers or something. She wasn't exactly in a place to be asking questions but it was just a small tour through the village. It couldn't be too hard, right? Yui followed Koetsu upstairs from the ground floor quietly, her footsteps carrying lighter than he would have been as well. She hadn't really been in a place like this herself, having been staying somewhere not as near as nice. . The tool of a sketchpad being the main way of communicating was a bit dated, even a tad annoying for her. She was going to have to get used to the activity, but it did mean a lot that Koetsu was willing to part with a notebook because of her. She sputtered a bit at his apartment, unable to help but feel a tad envious of his living arrangements. Some people did just have all the luck, didn't they? Koetsu retrieved the sketchbook and a pen to write for her as she flipped to the first free page and quickly jotted something down.
Thank you, Koetsu. You have a nice place. : )
Yui gave a smile while putting the sketchbook under her arm while following the boy through his apartment. She didn't want to intrude too much on his property and her needs weren't really requiring the finest of pleasures. While the boy went and got his things fully prepared, Yui remained writing more on the notepad until he was fully ready to leave. Regardless of the amount of time it took, she would reveal the contents of what she wrote again.
So this is the housing district. Most of the apartments and homes of the village are here. There's apartment complexes scattered across the blocks here, with houses being around the inside of the quarter. The rich people tend to live in their own specific gated community near the middle. You'll be able to figure out which is which when you see it. Ready to move to the next spot?

Tired from his mission, Himitsu had decided to take the side streets and alleyways of Konoha's residential areas to get home. It didn't take much longer than the main paths, and there were far fewer people around. As he meandered through town, his thoughts wandered to various parts of the mission he'd just returned from with his squad. Their success lingered strongly, and a smile seemed to be stuck on the Uchiha boy's face. At least it was, until the sound of desperate squawking hit his ears. The pitiful chirps echoed out from a side alley which Himitsu hurried toward with haste. When the genin turned the corner, he found a group of young boys standing around giggling and tossing things at a nearby wall. He traced their tosses and found the source of the chirping, two stories up.
Up on a broken and hanging piece of a gutter, just above the apartment's balcony, sat a small raven that was clearly nursing its left wing. Below it sat a growling, fat orange cat, swishing its tail back and forth, waiting for the bird to fall down. The boys were throwing rocks up at the bird, alternating between trying to hit it and trying to knock the gutter down further. As Himitsu approached them, one of the boys threw a rock particularly hard and nailed the little bird in the side. The tiny creature teetered a bit and let out a pained squeak. Himitsu's heart rate jumped and heat washed over his face instantly. Another boy threw yet another rock, but this time it was knocked away with a metallic clang and fell to the ground beside a shuriken. The group was stunned at first but quickly whipped their heads around to see a heavy breathing Himitsu with glowing red eyes. "Throw another one. Find out where mine ends up." The kids stood silently with their eyes wide, one looking particularly guilty. "Move it!" The Uchiha barked, his eyesight flushed with red and throbbing, his eyes physically sore and hurting more by the second. Without hesitation the delinquents scattered down the alley, a few having to run directly past the angry ninja. When they had all taken off, Himitsu closed his eyes and rubbed them harshly until the ache went away. He had to blink a few times to get his eyes to adjust, taking a few breaths at the same time.
Once he could see clearly again, Himitsu climbed his way up to the tiny bird, shooing its chubby predator away in the process. The bird tried to hop back from Himitsu at first, but gave up the effort almost immediately when it became clear it had no more space. Himitsu moved slowly near the bird and acted with patience, trying to gain the bird's trust. After creeping in on the bird for roughly 20 minutes, it let Himitsu pick it up. The Uchiha wasn't sure whether it was from trust or just simple exhaustion, but he was glad either way. He nestled the little bird into a makeshift nest he'd made from his jacket and made his way back down to the ground, carrying the animal home. On their short trip, Himitsu inspected the bird's hurt wing. Luckily it didn't look too bad, just some missing feather and some nasty scratches. "I can probably get you back in the air within a few days. How's that sound, pal?"[/indigo] The bird simply looked at him for a moment, then squawked softly at him, as if in response. A smile spread across Himi's face again and he looked at his travel companion. "You talk, huh? Well how about you repay me by being my partner? You'd be a super-cool ninja bird." The raven gave another tiny squawk to seal the deal, and Himitsu let out a soft laugh. "Alright little dude. It's a done deal!"
The pair finished their trek home in silence. Once home, Himitsu cleaned up the raven's wounds and put little bandages on it with his mother's help. The boy then set up a tiny nest for the bird using a small box and ripped up paper, and put in tiny food and water dishes inside for him. He then took a long, relaxing shower before turning out the lights, saying goodnight to his little rescue, and going to bed.

The Residential District. Home to the average population of Konohagakure, those who aren't rolling in wealth or power. This particular block consisted mostly of apartment buildings on either side of the main street, but just down the way you could see houses replace the larger living accommodations, and the spaces between homes would only continue to grow the further into the district you went. To someone who was still getting accustomed to living within a village, the variance was overwhelming at times, but also formed a somewhat pleasant gradient. Somir was posted at the edge of an alleyway, leaning against the cold concrete wall, partially obscuring the entrance to the alley.
He wasn't particularly waiting for anything, nor did he choose this spot for any particular reason. He simply wanted a quiet place to do some thinking. A hand reached into his top and produced a bag of potato chips. 'I need money.' Somir had ventured through the culinary district earlier that day, but lacked the funds to stop in for a particular meal that had caught his eye. Instead, he opted to go purchase the junk food he was eating now, somewhat absentmindedly, but instinctually defensive over his snack at the same time. A strange combination.
Somir was relatively new to the village. He hadn't been among their ranks as long as a majority of the citizens he had seen walking the streets. In fact, he joined the ninja academy at the first chance he could after entering the village, and he had just graduated to become a genin a few days ago. He hadn't even participated in his first mission yet. The lack of action wasn't making him antsy, but his lack of resources was beginning to become a recurring theme. A heavy sigh escaped his lips. He had run out of chips. His hand clenched around the bag, crumpling it into a ball before lightly tossing it at a nearby trash bin. It hit the rim and bounced off. The edge of Somir's lips twitched in brief annoyance as he watched the wadded bag hit the ground. He moved to pick up the trash in a rather lazy manner. The Vhuga male was not one to leave a mess when he could help it.
