Kitsu looked around for the first voice that he heard. He then went closer to a jar of water. It was talking? He was very confused. His ears folded to the top of his head. As he stared into it. He was confused. He then heard the other woman go up the stairs. He had grown up in Starcreek, but he hadn't seen a lot of things it seemed.

"Yes, I'm looking for informational guides to Kitsune. I honestly don't know where to start..."

Yuko and Amaya walked (floated) side by side. The girl twirled her umbrella, watching the drops that flew off and landed on the concrete none too gently. Her steps echoed in the puddles along with the rain, her arm swinging the shopping bag containing her newly bought clothes. After a bit of walking, they came across the bookstore. Small and quaint, but it had a warm, welcoming feel to it. At least, that's what she thought.

"You should go in." Amaya prodded at her, staring at the store's entrance. Yuko stared too, feeling something build up in her. "Didn't I do enough socializing today?" She retaliated. She could feel her vision shake a bit. It was totally different with Yukari and Bella. Knowing at least one person in that store, Yuko felt safe. She felt she could interact normally. But this? This is... difficult. Her hands grip the umbrella, unsure and afraid.

She could feel the clutches of anxiety clawing its way out of the back of her mind again.

Amaya stared at her. She knew what her host was going through right now. Another attack could possibly overtake her. But, the soul realized, if she protected the girl forever, sheltering her from all interactions, then she would get nowhere. She already made a promise to take care of her. Her hand hovered over the girl's shoulder, an ice cold feeling wrapping around it. "I'll be here." She reassured her. The girl stared at her, looking like the child from back then, and she stared back, nodding to her.

"...Fine."

A small bell went off as Yuko pushed the door open. There were at least three people in the room. A girl with long, pink hair was taking the stairs to the second floor. Two people remain, a small girl with blue hair... residing in a jar? A jar filled with crystal clear water, to be exact. The other person was a silver-haired boy with... fox ears? He even had a tail... God, if Yuko wasn't absolutely floored right now, she'd probably be amused by this whole situation. But then again, she had a spirit hanging around her, controlling her body at times even. That counts her in the "weird people" category as well, at least.

Amaya goes through the storefront, her presence once again dropping the temperature. Yuko wonders how many had figured out already, that she didn't wander around alone. She decided not to partake in the fox boy and water jar girl's conversation, her nerves already bursting just being near practical strangers. She headed to a corner of the room, looking through the bookshelves. 'Huh. Mythological books. They'd be a good addition to my collection.' She ran her hands over the book spines, looking for particularly interesting books.

ooc
hope you don't mind these two hanging around ^_^

Syndel departed from the bus stop and headed down the street with relative reservedness as she quietly pondered the day. As it went, it seemed that the rain would be subsiding a little bit. She still dressed in a dark gray turtleneck knit-sweater dress that rested at her knees enough to reveal the black leggings underneath. Paired with black ankle boots, and it seemed like the perfect cold-weather outfit. As she walked down the street, her dark gray eyes soon spotted her favorite place in all the city, the Edwardian building that seemed to stick out from the more modern places that surrounded it, Good Reads. "Seems I'm first to arrive," She noted as she took out her keys, unlocked the door with it its familiar ting-a-ling and headed inside. Once inside, the petite woman went behind the cashier counter, grabbed a duster and began to dust just a little on the first floor.

Draken hadn't been out his house in a few days. Some would say he was reading books. Others would say he had stayed at home playing games online. Possibly both was true. He had set out today as he wanted to do something new. Well by new he mean read. And by read he metn possibly slouch in the store away from his home and most people. So draken had walked his way to the bookstore. His outfit was rather ramshackle and was a shirt that had a flaming skull in gray scale on the front with a black background. A pair of dark blue jeans along with a pair of black trainers.

He seemed to pause outside the building as he stared at the Edwardian architecture, His eyes seemed to drift over its colours and features before he pushed the door open slowly trying to sneak inside. Of course the ting-a-ling that the shop had went off. Draken only mentally swore at himself before ducking away. Hoping that no one came to investigate straight away. He was however feeling a gentle emotion from someone inside the building. ”least i'm not breaking in.. or breaking in alone… he muttered to himself. His eyes instantly drifted over to some of the books on a shelf. His hand drifting over them slowly. Almost like he was feeling there textures from the spine.

Syn finished her quick dusting and was putting the duster away behind the counter when she heard the bell again. The sound caused her to stand up rather swiftly and look up to see the young man from a few days ago. As he entered, she was calm and welcoming with a kind smile. "Hello and welcome to Good Reads," the petite woman greeted politely. Discreetly, her dark gray eyes noted the dark style of his clothing, which she thought was rather common in youth. Before becoming manager, she whimsically remembered the days of wearing casual-wear to work. Realizing she might've been staring, she shook her head as if to clear it. "If you need any assistance finding anything, don't hesitate to ask," She suggested lightly before going behind the counter and sitting in front of the cash register. As she did though, she quietly pondered the whereabouts of her three employees.

Victor slowly made his way to Good reads, the rain pelting him but he was doing his best to protect himself from the weather. His eyes would scan the streets as he went through them, being primarily empty due to the weather but he saw the occasional person with an umbrella going fast from cover to cover. Why they did so when they already had an umbrella, he was unsure, but he felt self conscious to the fact that he was only using a jacket. 'I need to get am umbrella...maybe if I save...' he nervously thought to himself. Money was especially tight now with Ragna in the hospital, and so he was unsure if he would even make enough to buy them both food. He heard a pained groan in his head from Darya, as the sickness they both had shared was still affecting her. He would help, but she had barred him from her to make sure he did not get sick, so he was almost entirely alone today. It felt strange...and lonely, not having her thoughts with him and feeling her with him. He was slightly scared, because if anything happened she may not be able to help him. Still, he had to go to work to make sure he and Ragna had food, so he tried to ignore his fear and focus on just arriving. 'Besides, it's my birthday.' he thought to himself. It was supposed to be a happy day, but Ragna was still in the hospital and he was late for work, not to mention it was still raining. It didn't seem like today would go particularly well, though he hoped it would get better later.

Victor had finally arrived outside the bookstore, the rain lessening a bit by the time. A pang of guilt swept through him as he regarded the store from outside in the rain, as he had not come by the day prior due to his sudden sickness. He was having trouble just convincing himself to walk to the door, but as the rain continued to fall he knew he couldn't stay out here or he would get sick again. And most places would probably be full of people avoiding the rain. Hesitantly, he would walk towards the front door, pausing in the front. 'Deep breaths...You can do this...' he told himself, trying to convince himself but not doing a very good job at it. He wasn't even sure how he would explain himself to Miss Valafar, even though if he simply told the truth it should be fine, but his mind was twisting it in a way that made him feel like no matter what he said he could not make up for it. He took a deep breath, and temporarily forcing his thoughts away, he opened the door.

As the bell rang signalling his arrival, he felt a chill go down his spine. There was no turning back now, but he temporarily closed his eyes in fear as he would quickly step in fully and allow the door to lightly close behind him. His eyes would then slowly reopen as he quickly glanced about the familiar room in front of him. He froze like a deer in headlights as he saw at the cashier station Miss Valafar. His guilt immediately flooded through him again at the sight of her, and he stared unmoving a few moments, his body and mind refusing to function properly. After a little bit, his rational mind slowly picked away the guilt and he assumed control again, no longer paralyzed. His eyes would drop down to the floor in front of him, not willing to meet Miss Valafar's anymore. "H-hi...I'm...sorry for...not showing up...yesterday...We...Got sick and...I don't have a...phone...I...Don't have an excuse for today...Sorry." His eyes would remain glued to the floor, not even noticing Draken in the room as he felt like he was awaiting execution. He was feeling guilt, sorrow and resignation. And Darya just felt miserable from her sickness, not even noticing any of this happening.

Noah was not nearly as composed today and she had yesterday, which is a little embarrassing considering she wasn't even close to at her best yesterday. She'd gotten ready in a hurry and ran out of the house without breakfast. Maybe this wouldn't have been a problem if she hadn't been watching TV until 4am, but since that was the case, here we are. Yesterday she'd left her job a bit abruptly and forgotten to pick up her umbrella before she left, so now she jogged through the rain. She'd had a jacket with a hood up, but of course it kept falling off her head as she ran.

She huffed and puffed outside the door to the store and she tried to compose herself. Noah would have liked to giver herself a little more time to catch her breath, but the rain was starting to send shivers down her spine. Fleece hoodies, turns out, are not waterproof.

Noah opened the door and quickly stepped inside, shaking her free hand to try to get water out of her jacket sleeve. "Hey, sorry I'm la--" she started loudly before bumping right into someone she should have noticed and stumbling back a little.

Draken seemed to freeze as Syndel spoke to him. Though her calming aura coming from her made him relax a little. ” N.. no.. I am fine Miss .. Th.. thank you He nodded softly before flickering his eyes back to the books. He was trying to hide his presence for a little bit. Least before he felt the familiar ‘chaotic’ twins The guilt washing over them towards Draken. The misery. Even the sorrow and resignation to a fate. He couldn't help but let out a small whimper. His knees slightly shaking as his hands darted out to grab the bookshelf. “s.. sorry…” Draken muttered quickly.

It was then a new female entered the room and he got from her misery as well. Then followed by a sharp shock of ‘pain’ as she collided with victor. The impact instinctively made him whimper again before he dropped to his knees slowly. He hadn't been around people for a few days so massive amount of negativity from two people was sort of overwhelming for a few seconds. That's even with one person radiating ‘good’ at least for the moment. His head moved quickly to rest against the shelving in front of him as he shut his eyes. Trying to focus along with somewhat hoping no one else added to his ‘pain’. Stop.. please..

Miss Valafar looked to the young man that had just walked in before the bell announced another person's entrance. Her dark gray eyes look in the young man that was soaked, obviously from a lack of an umbrella. She needed not say his name to know it was one of her sales associates, Victor. "Good morning, Victor," She replied calmly as he spoke. The poor thing, he seemed so wet and cold, she thought absently.

As he apologized, she held up her hand and waited for him to fall silent. Only when he did would she put down her hand.
"It is alright, but in the future, please inform me the night before or morning of your sick day," She told him then looked behind him to see Noah bump into him. "Good morning Noah. Also Victor, I'd like to see you in my office after you've dried off. There are towels in the closet in back," She first greeted Noah before returning her attention to the young man, though nothing in her voice nor tone said he was in trouble in the least. After she was done speaking, she would slip out of the cashier's chair carefully and make her way to the stairs.

Before leaving though, she looked over to the young man that seemed so uncomfortable. Concern could be seen on her face as she decided to walk over slowly and calmly reached out a gloved hand to rest on his upper arm.
"Are you alright," She inquired kindly, her voice soft yet audible.

Despite Victor's vision being primarily focused on the floor in front of him, her hand movement did catch his attention enough for him to notice it as he no longer attempted to speak and merely awaited his execution. She asked him for more notice in the future, which he was not sure how he could do without a phone, and he resolved in his mind to make sure he at least attempted to the next day. He would have a downcast guilty look as he would merely nod to her words, acknowledging that he would have to do so in the future. In his mind, he was berating himself. 'Why didn't I try and find a phone booth somewhere...or just brave the trek to tell her...' Logically, he knew that in his state then the latter was completely impossible, but the fact that the former was possible made him feel guilt. He in truth had not even considered that possibility. Which, given how often he had to travel away from his house and his internal map, he really should have. There weren't even crowds most of the time to provide a suitable distraction. His eyes would flash up to her and try to gauge her emotions but in his current state he could not tell, and assumed the worst.

Victor eyes widened in fear as he slightly jumped from the simultaneous sound of the bell ringing, hearing someones voice behind him, and then being bumped into. His heart felt like it would beat out of his chest, he did not understand a single word the voice said because of the shock, and he stumbled forward, only just barely catching himself and stopping himself from falling. He felt an intense fear, as if his life was ending and that he would die at any moment, being taken from this world without even knowing fully what happened. Immediately after recovering from the hit, he shrunk in on himself, fearful for his life and not daring to turn around. He didn't want to know what would kill him, well he did but he was too scared to make himself turn and look. He was broken from his near death experience by the sound of Miss Valafar's voice...though he almost wished she had not spoken. His eyes would nervously glance up to her as she spoke, still wide with fear and showing no signs of going away. When she spoke about meeting him in her office...it felt like his heart stopped momentarily. He stood there stunned as she moved away. Though nothing in her tone of voice betrayed it was going to be bad, his mind could not help but immediately go to the worst case scenario. His heart felt like it resumed beating(though it had been the entire time), but very strongly, so much so he felt he could hear it being broadcasted to everyone. Just wanting to hide from the world, he would quickly move away from the front to the closet she had mentioned, but very softly and quickly spoke one word, though not turning towards the girl who had bumped into him. "...Sorry..."

Victor had forgotten how wet and cold he had felt physically, as he was chilled to his very essence mentally. First, he had come to work late and had to try and explain it. Then someone had surprised him and almost gave him a heart attack...and now he had to see Miss Valafar in her office. He quickly closed the closet door behind him, and just wrapped his arms around himself as he was panicking. 'I'm...being fired...I...screwed up...too much...' he thought to himself, feeling sadness and fear in equal measure. Without the job he and Ragna would not be able to afford food for the coming weeks. He felt the crushing weight of both their livelihoods on his shoulders weigh down on him, and started to physically shiver and almost start hyperventilating. He quickly grabbed a towel while in the closet and wrapped it around him, hoping in vain it would heat the chill he felt building inside of him. 'D..deep breaths...Deep...breaths...I can't...hide here...or run away...without knowing for sure...'he thought to himself, slowly forcing him to control his breathing. As his mind slowly calmed down, he focused on drying himself with the towels, placing them in a neat pile in the corner when used, but keeping the last one on especially long despite being mostly dry. He leaned heavily against the door, soundlessly, and slowly slid to the floor. He felt weak, powerless, and almost resigned to his fate. He would stay like this for a few minutes, not wanting to stay long enough for her to have to come and check on him.

Apparently not a witch by day, or by night.----At work again----With coworkers----Get to know me

Noah caught herself, feeling momentarily disoriented before snapping back. "Uh, yeah, good morning." She replied, her attention on the man in front of her. He definitely hadn't been here yesterday right? Or did she just leave before his shift? He wasn't bad looking at all, but was giving off kind of weird vibes. She opened her mouth to start to apologize but he was already gone and on his way with things. Oh well, she thought to herself, Weird start to another day in a weird town.

Somehow feeling a little more confident now, Noah figured she'd try her way at the register. It's like how when you have a feeling something will go wrong and as you spend all day waiting for it the anxiety ruins a perfectly good day. In contrast, today the going wrong already happened, and now Noah could move on from that feeling. Waking up late: check. Startling a stranger pale within the first five seconds of arriving that said job: check.

She slid off her damp hoodie and hung it on the coat rack while tapping her shoes on the welcome mat. She messed with her hair a bit, smoothing it down, and when she was finished it looked no different. Long, pink, and a little unkept.

Noah sat down behind the register, staring dully at it, longing for it to be a computer. Honestly though, what would she even do with one anyway? She was a runaway, and a recent one at that, which meant that if she didn't want to be found she couldn't go on facebook, twitter, tumblr, any of her usuals. It probably wouldn't be smart to make new accounts either. Noah grumbled to herself. The whole situation was so annoying. She settled on mindlessly flipping through the nearest book, only reading a sentence here and there.

Draken seemed to stay on the floor as he kept his eyes shut. The emotions flowing off the ‘three’ people that he was feeling in the room all being negative. Two being so much so that draken started breathing rather hard. The panic, the worry and even the hopelessness setting in drakens mind. The other person seemed a little bit better, though seemed to feel lonely. Though draken couldn't feel it much as he was being dulled by the other person.

Then the touch came. The touch of a gloved hand on his arm. And he let out a loud squeak and jumped to his feet only to spin around. His face full of fear and even a single tear running down his face. It was the shop owner. Least she felt calm. Though the overriding emotion he was feeling was the panic from two others. ”I.. Miss Valafar had forgiven Victor for his absence before he left to go dry off. It would seem her meeting with him would have to be a little late unfortunately. In that small time, she was relieved to see Noah compose herself and head back behind the cashier's counter before she went to go check on their nervous guest. "Noah, I trust you to take care of any other customers that come in," She told her employee.

Her attention then returned to the poor young man when he jumped at her touch and smiled apologetically before answering his questions. Her intent was to help, not to harm, and she wished she could.
"I'm alright. Shall we get some fresh air," She suggested politely, her voice soft and soothing. Syn never removed her hand from his arm but she didn't show any signs of a threat either. She kept herself calm as she slowly took her hand away and waited for his answer.

Victor would slowly slide up, leaning heavily on the closet door as he did so, until he was fully standing again. His nerves were playing havoc with him, first they wanted him to breakdown and now they were telling him he had to go or things would get much worse. He didn't want her to have to come looking for him nor did he want to be late for the meeting she ordered. Even if the meeting could prove to be horrible, it was better knowing than not knowing. If it was bad news, it would be much worse to miss it than to just continue being oblivious. Still, it was hard to make his body function. Just turning to face the doorknob, to leave this small and safe place, was hard. Actually turning it was much harder. His mind was torn, one side telling him to go through and find out his fate, while the other just wanted him to hide away. But he had a recurring thought that made him eventually open the door. 'I need the money...so if i'm being fired or not...I need to find out...' he glumly thought to himself, opening the door fully now and slowly walking out of the closet.

Victor slowly walked to the front of the store from where the closet was, though not by his own volition. The stairway to Miss Valafar's office was in the front, and as such he would have to go by the front area just to go to her office. His speed showed his trepidation as the idea alone of going to her office, let alone go through the busier part of the bookstore. Still, seeing as he had no other option he forced himself to go through with it. His view at first was obscured by the bookshelves, which gave him hope that no one would be present there and he could slip away easily. However, as he turned a corner he noticed a complete stranger standing at the register. He had not seen the person before, only seeing long pink hair from his perspective. However he noticed their attention being focused on a book, and was quickly flipping through it. They seemed comfortable enough in that position, but he had no clue if she were merely a friend of Miss Valafar, a new employee, or a customer who decided that was a good place to read. His eyes quickly glanced about but from his perspective he could not see anyone else.

Victor took a deep breath to steady himself, before continuing his walk, circling the counter to go to the stairs. As he rounded it, he was actually able to see in more detail the person at the counter. It was a girl, who seemed slim and was about average height. His eyes would quickly drop down to the floor in front of him once he had that quick look. 'Was she the one who bumped into me?' He pondered, perhaps that being why he had not heard another bell since he had retreated to the closet. He wasn't sure, and he wasn't about to ask that yet. He also didn't really want to speak in his current state, so he was hoping that he could just continue his walk to the stairwell without interruption. With his eyes being downcast now, he did not see Miss Valafar or Draken.
