The village was pretty normal. Okay, that was cool. Small, too. Still chill. The most interesting thing was the cluster of chakra farther in the village, the group of normal people and shinobi. After double checking the direction and distance, Xion and her trusty walking stick made their way towards the cluster. Now that she was moving, Xion could not use the sensory tech she previously used. Instead, she relied on her other senses to maneuver the foreign streets and keep a sharp hearout for any shinobi talk.
That wasn't all. Despite everything, Xion was a ninja, and she could at least travel over the houses and other obstacles in her way even if she was blind. Xion beelined, kind of, for the group of shinobi she sensed earlier, stopping only after it felt like she had traveled the right distance. Sure, the ups and downs made it hard to keep accurate track of the distance, but it was a lot better than trying to head in the right direction while weaving between houses

Specialist Medical [ The user, choosing to specialize in healing medical techniques, gains a great boost to their chakra control in that area. Zoom Sensor [ The user has a vast eye, able to quadruple the range of a given sensory technique, often allowing them to sense things even outside of the given area (across threads). This vast range, however, makes it difficult to detect fine details. The user is only able to know that chakra is there, or that chakra is being activated. Things like type of technique, rank, element, ect, are unknown to the user. ]
Blind Resolution Personal Attribute [ Xion was born blind, a curse placed upon her for her parents' faults. For that reason, she will never experience sight. No ocular implant can restore her vision and even genjutsu cannot imitate the sensation of sight for her. In exchange, being blind has rewired Xion's brain to enhance her other senses, primarily the ability for her hearing and chakra sensing to pick out minute details (but not necessarily an increase in what both senses pick up) but also her smell and even touch to gather what little details they can. Using very basic echolocation mixed in with other minute details like the feel of the air on her skin, Xion has a rough idea of her surroundings up to 5 meters away; e.g. enough to pick out someone/thing rushing to her but not enough to understand the details of the approach beyond size, general shape, distance, and direction. Furthermore, she gains the Resolution sensor class discipline, overwriting the limits of resolution and zoom (if she has both) for their strengths. ] Live to Serve Personal Attribute [ Even compared to other Miyamoto clan members, Xion has a terrible body for combat. Elizabeth frowned that nobody took the offer. Seems the moderators of this exam beat her to that front. She watched the boarding of a boat by the group she had been tailing. Her chakra cord still attached to the girls jacket was at least a mark. She could work with it. She felt the line being spooled out. She could almost measure the range by it. Not quite, but almost. She waited until it was nearly her max range before forming the seals. The woman would seem to be absorbed into her strong, to reappear behind the woman in the ballcap and hoodie, severing the line with a thought.
Apparently she teleported right into the midst of a creature trying to get some lunch. She had to sway and step to the side to get away from the thing. Wasnt sure if it deserved death for hunting. She had a certain respect for predators. Hell, she was one herself. Chakra went to her hands and she would tag the creature with the briefest of touches, before she would duck low and move behind a bit of cover in case of retaliation. The seal would spread over the limb, a simple paralysis. it was unnamed and she wouldnt say its name, hopefully keeping its true effects a secret for later. None of her other stuff at least was revealed yet.

Hatsu bowed politely. "It is quite alright, you've been a big help already." Putting her hand to her chin for a moment, she would ponder her next course of action. Surely going all the way out to Wind Country or all the way back to Lightning Country could just be a waste of time, so Hatsu would try to track down the previous local instead. Tsumetai [ Cold to the Touch ]: The skin of each Shinsetsu clan member is chilled; producing a refreshing, almost intoxicating aura. Because of this attribute, humidity is a foreign concept to the Shinsetsu, and only the most extreme of heats will cause those within tsumetai's effect to break a sweat. Chet was becoming irate. The man he was holding in his arms took off his shoe that smelled like a wet dog's throw up and hit him in the head with it. Just as he was about to slam dunk the guy several nets were thrown around Chet. Heavy fishermen nets. Chet wants the narrator to make it abundantly clear how he hates clowns. And then the demon came back. What a day.
Chet wouldn't see mokuton being used against him, but instead a flesh like tendril enveloping him and the boy as the demon walked towards the two. Something strange was happening to Chet's vision as well. The boy in his grasp kept fading out briefly to something else. As well as the crowd of clowns. He listened to what the demon had to say. Finally someone who could have a normal conversation and not just throw s**t at him. "Wow. Finally!" He announced putting the young man in his grasp down. The nets being gone he was free and the trap the devil had made could be kicked down. Chet had no worries. Leaning against the tendrils Chet extended his right arm and said "So. Do you know where the stadium is?" All he wanted was to get to the next half of the exam. So Kokoro would take him back. He had to prove to her that he wasn't just some drunk idiot. He was a drunk Ninja idiot.
๑๑๑๑Nodding at the boy who'd jumped aboard he found out he was from sound, and the only shinobi from there apparently too. It was odd, but then again Hideo never really heard anything about the sound village. Moving aside to let him talk to Wata, the young Hyuuga watched the dog jump up onto the large vessel, something that wasn't exactly normal for a dog his size. Being the size of a ferry, the amount of verticle leap it took to get up there was only somewhat manageable for a young shinobi, but a dog? Figuring the dog hadn't really heard anything other than the word 'treat' he figured the white dog might've just been excited, turning and making noises towards the shore. Walking up to him and bending down next to him, he rubbed his head and ear until his fingernail grazed something metal. His eyes were still active and it didn't take Hideo long to zoom in and see the small earpiece. It was a shinobi pet. he admired people with the dedication to train one, he himself didn't think he could train himself and another at the same pace from the academy on. It was an impressive feat, and at this point Hideo had no reason to do anything about it as he muttered, "Well buddy if your owner is listening, you'll be in good hands here."
It didn't take long for Wata to seemingly agree to the whole party going, mentioning for them to play nice with one another. It seemed fair, there was no reason for any of them to go after one another, after all that wasn't part of this stage of the exams. Besides, from what Wata had mentioned earlier the man more than likely welcomed having more shinobi on board to deal with whatever was out there. As the noise of the small village began to dim, Hideo's mind drifted as he listened to the waves and watched small schools of fish swim by. His attention was quickly regained by Yuna however, who decided to set up a truce of sorts among everyone. Nodding with her words,Hideo patted his two katana making it clear he was handy with a sword.
As Hideo got a look before most could, he could see a whirlpool they were headed towards, but didn't say anything. Wata knew this place better than he did, and Hideo trusted the man wanted to handle this situation and keep his life while doing it. Ducking and rolling, Hideo stood getting out an "I'm fine." to his partner while she called out. Unsheathing the katana on his back, the genin held it out to his right side, his right foot slightly more forward than his other, and his left hand ready to pul anything out if necessary. The claw now that he caught sight of the arm it came from was huge, he'd never seen or heard of a prawn even being able to get to that size, or rather the size he suspected it to actually be. After all, just its arm peaked out of the swirling mass of water. From what he could gather, it had to have been pretty big.
Jumping up and back towards Yuna taking the right side Hideo muttered, "We can't let it attack like that again. Do you wanna try a slash and burn routine, or just both get in there and sever that claw?" Hideo figured Yuna might not have wanted to outright sear the prawn at this point in time, however he figured the heat from a katon technique would help make it easier for him to try and slice through the appendage. Just as well, both of them attacking in unison with their blades was easily an option.
The twin flitted his eyes over to Shiro when he called out to him and his sister, frowning up a bit. Did he not see that her head was obscured by the straw hat?! What did he think the point was. Jay spoke to him regardless. "Yeah I got us a lead too," he would put simply, watching as Chet put down the little girl and untensing his body. The senju seemed to be calming down the crazy one, and as such he felt it was ok for him relax his ready state. He motioned for Shiro to join him on the water so that he could speak quietly, doing the same to Unki. "I need you to not mention the existence of my sister so willy nilly. Part of our charm, as it were. I spoke to the guy who runs the general store, and hehasn't heard of a stadium. He has heard of a new island popping up, however, and some guy named Wata reportedly has a boat on the docks we can maybe charter to get there? What'd you gather so quickly Shiro?" All spoken in a hushed whisper to them, should they gather to him.

Kisuke tried to play off the yelling into the mic, what the hell was fang thinking going on a boat? With a bunch of strangers? Before the mic went out of range. He could hear someone speaking into the mic. They were addressing him, letting them know Fang would be in good hands. Somehow that did not make him feel at ease. You know when someone tells you not to worry and then you worry more because they told you not to worry? Ya it's kinda like that. When Kisuke turned back to the big guys it seemed they were being hypnotized by a woman cleavage. When she turned to him Kisuke picked him her scent...or should he say...He realized this was the person Fang was talking about. It seemed they had a meeting, though the wink and suggestive words were unneeded. Kisuke pretended to look surprised when she invited him upstairs, he looked over at the Jonsons to see what they were thinking. They were most likely jeering him on to go up and meet her. Kisuke would nod at them and start heading up."Don't eat without me guys! Madam! keep the rounds coming for my boys here!"He hoped the liquor here was large and cheap. If the Inn keeper filled those mountains with beer they wouldn't eat as much food he hoped. Also getting them drunk would make them more loose lipped. Kisuke held a stupid grin as he walked up, as soon as he reached the top and no one could see his face the grin fell. He looked calm and confident but still friendly, his mother taught him to never have a scowl on his face like his father. Kisuke entered the room and his nose twitched at the smell of smoke. He was used to it but he always hated the smell. He closed the door and leaned against a corner. The complete opposite one of her. Though they were from the same village. Fang nodded at the captain with a bark, agreeing to eat the weakest link. Well at least, that's what everyone would assume since noone spoke doggo. Then the girl int he hat started speaking, and showed them her sword and shield. Very Shiny, much wow. Thought fang, he also gave her a confirmation bark. The white eyed male from before walked over to Fang once again and petted him which he enjoyed. He spoke to Kisuke through the mic it sounded like before connection was lost. And suddenly a mysterious girl appeared Fang began to growl at the water as the captain called for everyone to duck. Fang hearing the panic in the warning Fang ducked, missing the claw by a few inches. He continued to growl at it as he became a bit more feral, his hair stood up a little and his claws seemed to expand and grow a bit larger. Fang was unable to strategize with the group, he could only decide things based on what he see. People on the boat? Good. Giant Shrimp monster? Bad. Staying on the boat? Good. Letting shrimp monster destroy boat? Bad. So it was decided. Kill giant shrimp monster. Fang had his own plans if the giant shrimp monster decided to attack again. If the others wanted Fang to work with them, they would have to speak in simpler terms terms. Since he didn't have a great understanding of the human language.

That was about the most the explanation Shinji could get out before they were ambushed by the mother of all sushi roles. It was easy to avoid the claw, Shinji giving himself some distance afterward and putting himself in the center of the boat. He hadn't exactly lied when he said he wasn't the strongest swimmer, nor did he enjoy deep waters. This coupled with the fact that he was a close range fighter wasn't a really good situation for him if the thing was in the water. At this point he noticed that there was someone else he hadn't spotted before that appeared on board but there was no time for him to really question where she came from.
"Right I'm pretty useless right now. If that thing tries to come on board I can do something about it but my hand to hand is pointless if it keeps to the water"

The claw whizzed the heads of the assorted shinobi and crew, then retracted almost as quickly. Wata's crew fired a couple of harpoons into the behemoth prawn, which took exception to the attack. It tried to swing again, but the arm it had just used floated limply in the water. After stirring around in the whirlpool for a split second, it lashed out with its other arm. One of the other crew members shouted that it was coming again, and almost before the words came out of his mouth, the thing's claw was out of the water. The claw flew toward the boat with incredible speed; if it connected, they were going down into the murky depths. They would only have an instant to react and defend the vessel, but thanks to their mysterious visitor, the shrimp had drifted farther away.

Xion would run into very little resistance as she moved through the village, partly because she was taking a nonstandard route and partly because most of the population was already at her destination. When she finally arrived near the cluster, she would hear the crowd murmuring disapprovingly, a few swears, and what sounded like a drunk man making demands. Then there came the panicked sobs of a girl running to her mother's arms and being carted away to a nearby house, followed by some choice words from a random guy in the crowd and the sounds of that same group dispersing. What a time it was to be alive.
"Hm? Where'd you come from?" The voice of a teenage boy came to her from nearby as the kid suddenly realized she was there. He sounded less alarmed than curious.

"Yeah, give me a second. He's probably nearby." The woman stood on her tippy-toes and scanned the crowd, then pointed out a seemingly random, average dude in it. "Rojou! Get over here!"
The man turned around, looked questioningly at the lady, and then pushed his way through the crowd to get back to his old post.
"Ooh, boy, kinda chilly over here," he commented with an exaggerated shiver. "Whatchu need?"
"Girl's lookin' for the exams."
"The exams? Her and everyone else." He rolled his eyes as he talked past Hatsu. "Look, the bird what dropped off the letters came from over there--" he pointed out toward the sea, but at an angle that might have implicated the Wind Country "--and left in the same direction. That's all I know, really. Was there something else?"

The villagers were visibly irate at the branches' interference, but the girl reuniting with her mother drew a collective sigh of relief. The crowd remained in attendance until the hostage was safely back inside, and then slowly began to disperse.
"Take the next !@#$ boat out of our village, you !@#$ menace!" someone cursed at him, their exact location obscured by the dispersing crowd. Many of the villagers headed back to their homes, but a few wandered over to the inn and one or two went back toward the docks. It had been a day full of excitement for them, but now it was time for dinner and bed rest.

Unki's accomplice would breathe a sigh of relief and raise the net again. It seemed like she'd become much more tired following all the rampant activity, as exemplified by her overly languid gesture to hand her the other half of the net.
"Well, thanks anyway," she mumbled. "Glad the girl got home, at least."
So many sounds. Xion's head could be seen turning this way and that to try and catch as many strings of conversation as possible. To her, it sounded like some drunkard had harassed a girl and the majority of the crowd was here to object to the offender. she guessed with surprising accuracy. She had thought as such because it sounded like the bad guy was a stranger to the village, and being an examinee was the first guess she had as to why anyone would be in this rustic place.
Then someone spoke to her. Xion turned to the welcome sound of interaction. "Hello, hello!" she greeted, her happiness coming through clearly in her words. Her red eyes stared into nothing. "I came from up there," Xion pointed up into the sky to answer the young boy's question. To her, who had little common sense at times, that was the most immediate answer to the question of where she came from. She had just jumped down a roof not too long ago. She did seem to recognize that her first answer gave little useful information, though, as she expanded, "Waaaay before that, though, I started this trip in Kumogakure."
Now came the reason why Xion was so enthusiastic about conversation with a local stranger. She was lost and needed information. Her hopes high, Xion explained her situation and asked a few questions of her own, "I'm here for the chuunin exams buuuuut I don't think is quite the place, huh? Do you happen to know where it might be? Or if not, then can you tell me where you think it could be and why?"

Specialist Medical [ The user, choosing to specialize in healing medical techniques, gains a great boost to their chakra control in that area. At Chunnin, they gain a -5 chakra reduction to perform techniques in their specialty. at Jounin, -10, at Konin -15 at Sannin -20. To clarify, they they gain a -5 chakra reduction every rank, to a maximum of -20 at sannin. All medical jutsu are still learnable by both sides, but the chakra control only applies to the chosen side. ]
Zoom Sensor [ The user has a vast eye, able to quadruple the range of a given sensory technique, often allowing them to sense things even outside of the given area (across threads). This vast range, however, makes it difficult to detect fine details. The user is only able to know that chakra is there, or that chakra is being activated. Things like type of technique, rank, element, ect, are unknown to the user. ]
Blind Resolution Personal Attribute [ Xion was born blind, a curse placed upon her for her parents' faults. For that reason, she will never experience sight. No ocular implant can restore her vision and even genjutsu cannot imitate the sensation of sight for her. In exchange, being blind has rewired Xion's brain to enhance her other senses, primarily the ability for her hearing and chakra sensing to pick out minute details (but not necessarily an increase in what both senses pick up) but also her smell and even touch to gather what little details they can. Using very basic echolocation mixed in with other minute details like the feel of the air on her skin, Xion has a rough idea of her surroundings up to 5 meters away; e.g. enough to pick out someone/thing rushing to her but not enough to understand the details of the approach beyond size, general shape, distance, and direction. Furthermore, she gains the Resolution sensor class discipline, overwriting the limits of resolution and zoom (if she has both) for their strengths. ] Live to Serve Personal Attribute [ Even compared to other Miyamoto clan members, Xion has a terrible body for combat. On top of the fortitude decrease from her bloodline, she also has a moderate physical strength decrease. However, where she lacks physically, she makes up for spiritually. Before she could respond to Hideo, the sea monster was attacking again. "He won't quit." She disappeared in a burst of fire, and appeared on the other side of the boat where the attack was happening. She placed herself right under the claw as she raised her shield as the attack slammed down on top of her. Yuna held her footing and stopped the attack with her shield, as she pushed back against the claw, giving an opening to the rest of her team.

She felt a little defeated after the worry but, likewise, relieved that the little girl was safe. The crowd was dispersing and Unki would walk the other end of the fishing net to woman's hand. Unki nods. "No trouble, at all, really." She took a second to gauge Shiro's location, the other partner's location, frowned some at the netted hoodlum, and looked back at the woman.
Her partner claims knowledge of the rally point, Unki was still curious though if there was any information still left to learn about what awaits them. So... does everyone from the Cloud look that pretty when they're falling from buildings, or is that just you?"
Leaving aside the almost blindingly self-absorbed tone with which he reported his supposed involvement in hunting, the kid's attempt at flattery would sound almost disturbingly cheesy, like a fondue fountain with eight different cheeses flowing through it in the middle of a parmesan snowstorm. He sounded--and smelled--no less greasy, either, but that may have been a side-effect of living in such a rural area.

But you did me a solid, so here's what I think: these planners or whatever? Yeah, either they really suck at their jobs, or this is a test, and I don't know why they'd send you here to find your way if the test were on land. It'd be kinda backwards to put you around a bunch of boats and say 'walk'. Then again, maybe that's the trick."
At the very least, this lady had either read one of the letters being handed out or had been eavesdropping. As ambiguous as her response had been, that was clearly all she had to say on the subject, as she started to walk away shortly thereafter.

When Chet let the little girl down the atmosphere completely changed. Things were no longer tense, it was as if the God's blew a wind of releif over the area. She returned to her guardian and they ran off; the others too, also began to leave and return to what they were doing previously. Chet leaned on the root-tendril but it sunk back into the ground see as it's use was over. Of course the roots could have stayed out, but Raichi was hoping to make Chet fall over and onto his face for throwing him. Regardless if Chet fell or not, Raichi walked forward and extended his hand to seal their contract if you will. "Does a bear s**t in the woods? Of course I do. I'll give you a hint, it's not far from here. It would be no fun if I just outright told you, so let's make a game out of it. Beware though, the game will change depending if I get bored or not.
