How do you like Lorcana?
I want to play but something isn't connecting with me.
Might be cringe but I'm a giant Disney fan lol
tbh im looking for a reason to play so give it to me please lol
Haha I'm a huge Disney nerd too and so is my whole family. What I like about the game play is it reminds me of Maguc but they ditched Mana cards. So instead of that you use Characters in your deck as "ink", so most cards can either be played or become ink for you to play others. Because of this you can set decks up to play multiple ways if you want. Games are quick because games are a race to collect lore as opposed to taking down life points of some sort. You could potentially finish a game In a few minute, but it could also take much longer. Beyond that because it's a race to collect points you can in theory play with unlimited players. My wife kids and I played with 4 players and it was actually even more fun cause when I was kicking their tails they were able to balance the game by attacking me together. Cards current chain really well and it's simple enough for my 7 and 9 year old to understand and even my wife who does not play card games.
On top of that the art is beautiful and every card has a holo version which is cool, you could play a complete holo deck if you wanted haba. And the Alt versions of cards are even cooler. Also prices are not too bad so far. Starter decks are $15-17 and come one booster as well. I've bought all 7 starter decks so far and they are all pretty fun to play although my favorite are the 2nd release of card (actually I don't think I've played my 3rd release decks yet haha, got them in March and have been quite busy) They have the first 3 years or cards planned already and they are releasing new sets quarterly.
There is also a version of the game built on top of Herthstone called Pixelborn that can be used on PC pretty easily and all the cards can be added in to build you deck easily. It has a mobile version but it doesn't work well haha.
Overall I think they are building something really cool and I think it could rival the big games in no time.
Oh also the cards currently have 3 versions of art. Storyborn: based on the actual movies and shows
Dreamborn: what the character wishes are
Floodborn: twisted wished or nightmare versions of them
Story over all seems cool so far
