:[VDAY 2016]: The Voyage Celebration (Party Thread)

No longer dressed in pink speedo but back into his regular pink loin cloth (not that it was much of a difference), Adonis entered into the party room after an enriching, soothing and refreshing class of hot yoga. He had seen many pae reach positions they hadn't ever dreamed possible and one extremely gifted student bend in ways not even he himself could reach.

A smile was plastered onto his lips as the God of Desire strutted into the room, eyes scanning the crowed for his love... of whom which he did not see! Shame! "Where is my lovely Venus?!" he said dramatically, dropping to one knee, arm across his forehead in dramatic flexing despair style.

But it didn't last long.

Already his sea green eyes were scanning the crowed for his next target. This year, he got to join in the Valentines fun and chaos. He got to shoot arrows of his own that the precious mortal's couldn't see. It also meant he got to put on a fantabulous show of 'flexing' while in reality, he was aiming his bow at unsuspecting pae. There was going to be some serious desiring up in this place, he could almost taste it!

Struting to a stop, the well oiled god dropping into a pose, taking his bow from his back and drawing it forth over exaggeratedly. He took an arrow from the side of his belt and placed it into the bow, and twisted his torso around in what looked like something similar to a yoga pose he had just been teaching. His gaze landed upon a sparkling angel with black wings and curly hair having a ball of a time with a rather hyper rainbow fae who seemed to be stuck on the word 'extremely'.

"Time to desire little mortal!" Adonis said smiling, aiming right for the angel and releasing the arrow from his bow.

Bia has been hit by Adonis' arrow. (She can not see the arrows, it would have felt like a bug bite or a pinch.) His arrows cause a deep desire for the first Pae they see after being hit. That pae is of your choosing.

He'd hardly but approached the others when the familiar feeling of a mosquito's p***k upon his rear. These parties always seemed to be swarmed with the things, and how they managed to get him through his clothing would have to wait for later. He turned as he swatted the affected area before his eyes looked up to search for wherever the thing might have gone. Upon doing so, he set gaze upon the most beautiful of all the pae here: the Goddess of his life, Thalia.

While he was certainly one for merriment and celebrations, it would not be an overstatement to say the largest reason he came to these things was to see her, to partake in her beauty, her grace, her humor... all of her.

She was the rhythm to his melody, the violin to his symphony. His one and only...

How had he never realized this before? Such a fool he was!

Looking back to Kelebek and the otherwise-prioccupied teenagers, he mouthed the words 'I've a friend I would very much like to speak to' before giving her a wave and heading off in the direction of his soulmate.

If it would be certain to not be taken the wrong way, Thulani would have complemented his companion's hairpiece by now. The way it set in Aquarious's hair was beautiful, and the subtle aroma it gave off was a perfect fit for her. Smiling, he offered his arm out to her to take hold of and lead her towards the banquets, a mildly (annoying) strange need to protect her from the horde of the crowd and any potential suitors driving the motion. Plus, in a way, it was just how he had been raised to act towards a woman.

They hadn't hardly taken a few steps before a stranger, prickling sensation hit his side; what could that have been? Surely there were no ticks on so fancy a boat! His eyes shifted back to Aquarious to make sure they were alright, lingering far longer than he had intended them to. For some reason -was it the lighting? - he had the most exceptional desire to take her into his arms; what could one call this... peculiar... feeling... could it be...?

Glancing away and forward, he blushed and bit his lip before continuing to move. No, that was silly! He'd have realized something like that before now if it was true. Besides... it wasn't like she felt anything back, and Guardians help him there would be no one-sided declarations on this trip.

Having heard there was to be some sort of special party tonight, Nyra put the clues together to deduce that this was likely to be another celebration like the year before. Including all that food. No way she was missing this. Of course, she was dismissing some of the other things that happened in connection with that party. There were no big worm snakes to fight here. While that was somewhat disappointing for her, it was also a relief that she wouldn't have to fuss over them possibly hurting her boys. Nor did she think much on the other 'activities' she'd gotten involved in last year. That wasn't necessarily related to the party itself, after all. Just the adrenaline high from the fight and enjoying herself and finding other such ways of enjoyment.

She'd settle for food tonight, really.

As it were, she made little to no prep to join the party. She was a warrior, not a fussy pansy, as she thought. She had battle scars and her treasured trophy necklace to show that. What more did she need before going to the party? She'd gotten waylaid on the way to the ballroom, however, by one of those pink chubby things, which paid little to no mind to her glares and ruffled feathers while insisting that she 'freshen up a bit' before joining the others.

In the end, she grumpily allowed the thing (she thought it might be female from the sound of its voice...but it was hard to say) to guide her back into her room, thinking if she didn't, it might just keep pestering her when she found the food and keep her from enjoying it. The little cherub had whipped out an emergency styling kit from Venus-knows-where and gleefully gone to work.

She was having less fun as time went on, but was beginning to understand her 'subject' a bit more. She'd at least gotten the harpy to allow her to wash her hair. The expressions the Pae made while having her scalp scrubbed had almost made all the fuss worth it. Afterward, she'd brushed Nyra's hair until it shined. The harpy wouldn't allow anything too fancy and refused to wear any fabrics. She argued that it would only get in the way in case someone wanted to fight. Right. She had allowed the cherub to pull her hair back (out of her face...in case of a fight), but let it hang low in large, loose, toussled curls over her shoulders. Nyra had started to argue the silly, sparkly hair ornament the cherub had approached her with until the tiny thing made the point to argue that it helped draw attention to her trophy necklace, as the bangles made a light tinkling sound, much like the bones of her enemies. This pleased Nyra, so she allowed the cherub to clip the silver sparkly thing in her hair.

Though she'd initially fought the cherub, when she was finished, Nyra looked into a mirror with some surprise. It was fancy hair, but...somehow, she convinced herself she looked even more imposing because of it. She patted the cherub on the head for doing a good job, before heading back out to find the party.

It wasn't hard with all the music and smells of food and sounds from all the Pae gathering. Easy for a hunter to find. Nyra swept into the room with natural grace and resisted the urge to stare wide eyed at the bountiful tables of food. Well, no question which direction she was going. In the general bustle, she never felt the tiny p***k; not even enough to catch her attention. All she knew was that when she neared the table, she was mildly surprised by her reaction to a nearby Pae. Normally, the sight of another like her in close proximity set her instinctually on edge. While that feeling wasn't altogether missing, she felt more overwhelmed by the desire to tell this beautiful creature just how lovely and wonderful she was. How she inspired strength and beauty and wonder all in the mere sight of her. The great respect she had for all that she did. All these and more powerful, flattering descriptions flowed through Nyra's head and without further thought on her odd behavior, she neared the decorated harpy matriarch and took a deep breath.

"You very shiny."

Hesitantly, Mnemo did as the letter requested. She probably should have sent word to her lover and daughters but she had this little tingle in the back of her mind. She needed to this, but why? She'd never hurt a flea, let alone shoot another pae'il. She wanted to see if she had a father. And who he might be, that's why. But it was bothering her what shooting arrows had to do with anything. She let her intuition guide her, and it was telling her to do as the letters say. So not what she expected.

She set foot on the landing of the staircase and suddenly she remembered. A Venus party! She'd attended one with Anxo; it's how their daughters came to be. It was an odd coincidence that she was sent here. She remembered the arrows from the naughty hosts. Is she....? Oh gosh, she wasn't ready for this.

After ascending the stairs, she bee-lined for the fountain. So refreshing! After relaxing, she decided to give this a try. It would hurt and the pae wouldn't see it. That made it a little easier to consider.

Saira paused, the irritation from her tone and posture fading as the naiad continued to speak. Raising a finger up to scratch her nose, she raised her head up lightly. "Well, I am pretty great, am I not~?" It felt so rewarding to have others verify her own beliefs in herself, unlike her mother (okay, she did so on occasion) and that stupid pigeon (her praises were the epitome of sarcasm).

"Tell me more about how wonderful I am~ ... What is your name?"

Tristen has been hit with one of Mnemo's arrows! He now has an intense desire to kiss the pae he's fixated on. This thirst cannot be quenched. The arrow effect stacks with the other arrow he will be hit with.

She wouldn't bring up how even walking or standing he bobbed, as keeping an even level in midair was difficult. Rather, the female would simply watch to see how he faired. As the music picked up, she prepared to be whisked away, for him to lead her along the dancefloor.

But then, the strangest thing happened. The sudden, overwhelming desire to bend on a knee. It was like every muscle in her body was screaming at her to do so. "Wait a moment Koit." She started before falling down, her left knee touching the ground. Looking up at him like this, she was just overtaken with emotion. And there was no other way she could possibly express her feelings except through song.

Through song?!

Through song.

"Koit, you aren't such a bad guy! You are the color of the sky! When you leave I don't want to say goodbye! Oh my! You're my guuuyyyy!"

Dayht was the singer between them. A typically very refined and kept together fae, her singing was mildly atrocious. "I love the way the sound of your laugh and your mohawk is really cool! Even though you can be a fool! I kind of like that tooooooo!" Was this even a song? She was definitely singing, but it had no real tune or made any lyrical sense.

This was so embarrassing!

He grinned ear to ear when she accepted his dance proposal, and started to lead them to the dance floor. She seemed to be okay with this. Maybe...maybe she returned his feelings? Her next statement almost floored him, giving him his answer.

Only pae for her.

His eyes widened as he blushed before he pulled the blue nymph close to him. With her eyesight, dancing would mean he would need to closely lead. And keep them away from pae so she wouldn't step on them.

"Nicky?" Baliel swallowed hard. Even with the boost of confidence, this was hard to put to words. "Words cannot express how much I enjoy being around you. Knowing you. You really are my best friend." Today was a good day to make a mistake. "But I want you, to be more."

Nereus blushed warmly, holding onto his arm. "If you'll have this modest princess, she's yours." The things he said sometimes just made her feel like she was swimming in air. Like she could fly even though she had no wings.

With how strong he was, Junior probably could fly with her.

"I can't wait to dance the night away with you."

It was more than alright to her. Tonight couldn't be more perfect.

But he certainly aimed to overachieve. The shetani deeply blushed as he whispered into her ear, a tingle spreading through her body at his sugar sweet words. Her? That pretty? He was the handsome-no, beautiful! As she pulled back to look into his eyes, she was struck at how beautiful of a pae he was.

Yes, males could be beautiful. He proved just that.

His hair was so shiny and soft, his eyes big and bright. And that smile was to die for. She almost swooned in his arms. Her beauty surely paled in comparison to him! The female wished that her lack of voice wasn't in the way to tell him exactly how astonishing he was to her. But even if she could speak, she'd be mute from the awe of his beauty.

I had way too much fun with this.

Finally, he was able to bring the most beautiful pae in the isle to the party! With Harmonia on his arm, he felt like he could achieve anything. "Are you ready my dearest?" He spoke warmly, starting down the elegant staircase.

But not even halfway down it, the strangest urge fell over him. To kiss Harmonia. Well he always wanted to smooch the goddess, however suddenly his entire body seemed to scream for it! By the time they reached the bottom, he could barely take it anymore. The love fae turned to her, cupping his free hand on her face. "Harmonia, you are far too beautiful for me to comprehend. I'm the luckiest pae to be with you tonight." With that he moved his face towards her to claim her lips.

Valko hadn’t exactly been paying attention when the loud speaker had crackled into life and informed every one of the party. The teen had been far too focused on prowling around. What was he hunting for? Even he didn’t know it seemed to be his default state, silently moving around as though he was hunting fort something. He soon felt a slight hunger gnawing away at his stomach and his search switched from a aimless on too one focused on finding food. In his search for food the teen found himself in the ball room. His eyes scanned the room looking to see if there was anything to eat. Valko grinned as his eyes landed on a buffet table. The teen was quick to dart by pae, making his way to the buffet table. Arriving at the table he circled it a few times before grabbing a plate and stuffing it full of food. He was quick to slink off with his prize and curl up in a corner to start eating.

Nicky blushed, at a loss for words as he confessed. Venus help her, he felt the same way she did! Oh goodness she'd gotten lucky! A smile slowly spread across her face, looking up at him. Did it really take any words to agree with him? She just kept smiling, nodding. Really, confidence boost or not, she wanted to be more.

Nicky's hand lifted, resting on his shoulder. Why not start their relationship with a dance? "Dear Boyfriend, why don't we dance?"

Junior smiled, kissing her cheek. He loved this woman with all his heart. "I'll take the most humble of princesses always and forever." he couldn't wait to wisk her onto the dance floor, to show off the most amazing naiad on the island, and currently off it as well.

"I love you Nereus." He murmured, gently leading her towards the dance floor, completely ignoring the golden god that had caused an uproar of screams and applause. He only had eyes for her.

Cascade watched from her seat at the room started to fill up with the party goers. She scuffled her feet and looked down to the floor. Geeze, she hadn't brought any fancy clothes...She scuffed her feet on the floor and looked down. She didn't have any clothes really so she was just...Herself? Maybe this was a bad idea. She sighed and fiddled with a strand of her hair as she watched the couples almost longingly. That could be her one day right? Someone she loved beside her? Her attention fell to the yellow god as he made his entrance and she laughed. Were all of them like this one? Well..He was pretty cute...

Cascade had a mini internal freak out and hid her face in her fair. No no no what was she THINKING? She sunk slightly in her chair. Maybe this party was getting to her.

Hatil instinctively backed off as she felt a quickly-approaching presence near her, her tailfeathers bristling as she stepped out of the way to glare and and defend her territory of food from this encroacher. She was read to screech protectively, and likely would have, if not for the fact it was a male about her age.

Oh goody goody, this could be fun!

Taking more food into her arms that she really ought to have carried in one go, she made her way to sit across the table from the other teenager, plopping her 'trophies' before her as she did so. Looking to him, she grinned and waved before pointing to herself. "Hatil."

It was a very awkward moment for the male after his admission left his lips. Would she shy away from him? Did he ruin everything? He couldn't think about losing his partner in pranks!

But when she spoke the biggest weight had been lifted off his shoulders. The angel grinned his biggest smile yet of the evening. "Of course, anything my girlfriend wants." And so he started leading, the male surprisingly light and sure of his steps. He actually knew how to dance! A peculiar talent in his arsenal, but he found the art of dance rather fun. And he was all about fun.

When he kissed her cheek her heart felt all aflutter, and when he spoke her full attention was on him. Even though the gentleman who was singing was very interesting. She leaned in to him as much as she could, letting him lead her down the stairs. When they got to the dance floor, she looked up at him with shining eyes.

"I love you too Junior." She moved her body up to sweetly press her lips against his in a gentle kiss.

Valko looked up from his food as another pae about the same age as him approached. He almost growled at the bird like female as she approached wary of her attempted to take his food. His food was his, he found it. He stopped when he noticed that she appeared to have brought her own hoard of food. It seemed unlikely that she was going to attempt to steal his food when she had such a large hoard of her own, from the looks of it she could hardly hold all of it.

He shoved another piece of food into this mouth as he watched the bird girl warily. When she waved and stated what he assumed to be her name he waved back. Finished a piece of food he stared for a moment longer before responding. “Valko.”
