Jonathan looked at her confusingly. Who the hell is Maria? he thought to himself. He was once again taken by surprise when Vivian pushed herself away from him, and fell on her butt, trying to apologize for holding him. He looked at her with a stunned look on her face, but after a few seconds, he immediatly burst into laughter. This went on for about a minute as he then went to help her on her feet. "I'm sorry princess, but I just found that funny." he said in between laughs.

✦ Vivian's face only flared up even more when he started to laugh at her fall. She glared at him while he found amusement in her embarrassment, making sure to let him know how displeased she was with her expression. "Yes haha, the princess fell down on her bottom. Let's laugh at her like child, seriously and you are supposed to be the leader. You would think that your sense of humor would have evolved from that of a five year old by now." She grumbled, accepting his hand and using it to pull herself up despite how upset she was with him. "Hmphf! I find a way to relate to you, or to sympathize with you and you go and ruin it. You make it a bit hard for people to like you, I almost feel as if you do it on purpose. I don't know how Mildred puts up with you" An amused smile spread across her lips, betraying her as she tried to put her displeased expression back on only to give in and hurtle laugh along with him. "Though I suppose it might of been a little funny. It definetly wasn't graceful by any mean." ✦

Jonathan enjoyed the expression she gave him, especially the speech. He still had a smirk on his face when she told him and shrugged it off. He was surprised however by how quickly she turned around. He smiled at her. "I'm surprised that you can laugh at yourself princess, as for everything else you said, that is true. I don't really care if people like me, hell I don't care if you do, nor do I expect you too, given the circumstances. But you know what, these people really do like me, as their leader. I have proven time and again that we are strong, and that we can accomplish anything we put our hearts and minds to. So despite my 'child-like mentality' I can say that I am a great leader." he said looking into her eyes.

After a few moments he then looked around, realizing where they were at. "Alright, let's get out of here. I have some secrets in here that i'm not fully able to trust you with yet." he said as he went for the door and opened it, allowing her to get out first.

✦ "You have to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes or you'll just become an angry person." Vivian shrugged. "And I don't hate you. I can see that everything that you have done was for the people who look up to you, that doesn't mean that I happy that I was dragged into this... But I am starting to think that maybe this is all happening for a reason. I almost feel as if something big is going to come from this. So I say to hell its everything else I'm going to stay here and see what a great leader like you can do. Maybe I can even learn something for the future." She teased, bowing slightly as he passed by her to usher her out of the room. "Secrets, secrets, secrets! It seems that there is an abundance of secrets but a lack of books and adventure. How do you keep yourself entertained Mr. Leader?" She asked, sighing dramatically as she walked out of the door. She would find out what he was trying to hide eventually but for now she would leave it alone. She had a feeling that she had already caused him enough distress today. ✦

Jonathan shrugged at her question as he closed and locked the door behind him. "Hard to say. Everyone here mostly works then sleeps. I'm sure you will find something to do. Mildred has a crap ton of books though, so I guess that's our entertainment right there." he said as he walked her back to the main complex. As they walked in, they noticed a few handful of the members looking at them both with sly smirks on their faces. Jonathan was confused and chuckled slightly. "What?" he asked, wondering what they were thinking.

"Oh you know what. We saw you and the princess walked into the storage building. What were you two doing in there?" One of them asked, followed by group laughter. Jonathan had a slight blush on his face due to the embarressment because no matter how he would explain it, it wouldn't be good enough. "Oh ha ha ha what are we? Children? Get back to work before I smack you all upside the head." Jonathan said with a smirk on his face as well. The others shrugged and went off back to work, laughing as they did. Jonathan then let out a sigh. "These people I swear...I couldn't ask for better followers." he said followed by laughter.

✦ The mention of any kind of book being with Mildred piqued her interest. She had thought that Mildred only had the one book that had belonged to her son. She would have to question the old woman later. As they walked up to a group of giggling workers Vivian became confused, and their explanation for laughing so hard only confused her even more. "What were they insinuating? Because I'm really confused right now... Or is this another secret I'm not allowed to know?" She asked calmly, another smile spreading across her lips as she continued to tease the man. "Tell me Jonathan what did they think we would do in a storage room of all places? There wasn't anything in there to do besides stare at crates and dark corners... Unless it has something to do with your ever growing collection of secrets that seem to be tied to that room." She caught the sound of stifled laughter from a nearby worker which only seemed to confuse her more while fueling her endless curiosity. ✦

Jonathan wasn't sure as to classify Vivian as really innocent or really uneducated. Both seemed very likely. "I swear princess your innocence is killing me." he said followed by short laughter. After a few minutes of walking, they both met up with Mildred. Jonathan felt relieved when he saw her, thinking this as an awkward situation. "Mildred! Be a darling and take her off my hands. She's been a royal pain for the last thirty minutes." he said followed by a short chuckle as he excused himself from them and walked out of view. As he was out of view, a blush formed on his face. Damn...it seems the more I learn about her, the cuter she gets...I thought this wouldn't happen again... he thought to himself as he went on to do a bit of business.

✦ "My innocence? What, did I say something wrong? Tell me! What did I say?," Vivian pouted as he lead her through the jungle of a base and back to Mildred who looked like she had just woken up from a nice nap. "Really? A royal pun? Maybe you really are a five year old. And Mildred I really didn't do..." "Yes I'll watch her, but we both know that you two will see each other before the end of the day. Two opposite ends of a magnet you two have become." The old woman chuckled, waving the pouting girl over as Jonathan walked away. "Now what did you do to make him feel that awkward?" Mildredasked, handing the girl a sandwich that she had gotten from a plate that was on the ground beside her. Vivian thankfully took the offered food, she hadn't eaten since before the ball after all, and took a bite out of it before deciding to answer Mildred's question. "I didn't do anything! He started acting weird after a run in with a few workers and..." She began to tell Mildredall that had happened in the storage room, including the encounter with the workers afterwards."...So after they walked away I just asked what they had been insinuating because I was curious and didn't get their joke. Was it an inside joke? Was I not supposed to get it?" She asked theory woman before taking another bite of her chicken sandwich. Mildred of course just laughed at the girl. "Oh girl you are a riot! No wonder he looked so flustered!" She cackled, earning herself a glare from the princess. "Well I guess since you're old enough to to marry you're old enough to learn about the birds and the bees. You do know what that is right?" she asked the girl who just stared at her as if she were confused. "Well yeah. Birds are a type of animal that fly and Bees are insects, but what does that have anything to do with our conversation?" This just earned a grin from the old woman who went straight into explaining what the 'birds and the bees' were. The whole while Vivian was just getting redder and redder by the second, wishing for once that she had just kept her mouth shut. ✦

Jonathan made his rounds around the prison, making sure that everything and everyone was working perfectly. This took him about several hours, and the sun started to set. He looked at the sun set with a bit of calmness. He let out a deep sigh as a smile came to his face. "Tomorrow is going to be a new day. Let's see what it has in store for us." he said to himself as he went back to where he dropped off Vivian. Several minutes later, he walked up to the both of them. "Alright Princess, it's starting to get dark. Go back to your cell, or would you like me to escort you again?"

✦ "And, that dear child is how you manipulate a man to do your bidding. Any questions?" Vivian didn't know how their conversation had come to this, first she had been taught where babies come from and how they were made in descriptive details. And, now Mildred thought it was a good idea to tell her how to use her 'feminine wiles' on men to get them to do what she wanted. She could have kissed Jonathan when he came to get her, unknowingly saving her from further embarrassment. "I never thought I would be as happy to see you as I am right now." This made Mildred chuckle who slowly got up out of her seat."Oh come now princess, it wasn't that bad. At least you got one of your questions of the day answered and on top of that you learned the true power of the woman's body. Enjoy it while you're still young because trust me when I say that it's power will not stick with you as you age. Now wait right here, I forgot to give you something yesterday." Mildred cackled as she went into her room to look for something. ✦

✦ "Those workers thought that you, and me... That we... I mean you are... And I've never... Why?!" She tried getting out a full question, but in her embarrassed confusion she wasn't able to get out more than a broken sentence. Her embarrassment had reached a new level and she thought that she was going to feint with how much her body warmed up as she blushed. "Here you go Vivian. A few things that you will be needing. I gave you one of my old brushes and another pair of clothes because your first pair could probably use a washing after two days of wear. I also gave you my son's... Why are you blushing?" A knowing smile spread across the old woman's lips as she handed the girl the bundle in her arms. "Oh would you look at the time! I really should be going back now I don't want to miss curfew, bye Mildred and thank you!" She squeaked out in embarrassment before running off with the bundle held tightly to her chest. "Should someone tell her that she is giving the wrong way, or are you just going to let her figure it out on her own? Oh and Jonathan... Why was she blushing?" Mildred asked, and amused smile taking place upon her face as she looked over at the boy. ✦

Jonathan was actually surprised on how quickly Vivian ran past him, almost as if she was trying to get away from him. He was more confused than anything else as he looked over at Mildred, who brought up that she was going the wrong way. He chuckled as he pushed a button on his wrist. "There. I got a couple air drones around the vicinity to round her up and escort her back to her room." he said as he looked back at Mildred. He was confused with her question. "I don't know. You tell me. You two have been together practically all day. I'm curious as too what you two were talking about all day, but it's not my concern, nor is it my business. You have a good night Mildred, and I will see you in the morning." he said as he walked past her and back into his room.

Meanwhile, the drones that Jonathan let notice about Vivian tracked her down and managed to meet up with her. "Princess. This is not the correct way to your quarters. Please follow us, and we will escort you." one of the drones said as they both escorted her back to her room.

✦ Vivian nearly jumped out of her skin when the two drones came to inform her that she was going the wrong way. Having been to embarrassed to argue she just let them guide her to her cell where they locked her in when she got there. Stop thinking about it! Just don't think about it! She repeatedly thought to herself as she layer the bundle on her bed before stripping out of her clothes on,y to replace them with a light grey tank top and a pair of black jeans. The outfit made her wonder why so much of her upper body was exposed, after all clothes were supposed to cover you, but she didn't question it. Instead she took her hair out of the braid from yesterday, thinking about how she could really use a bath, before brushing out her long, curly hair and allowing it to fall naturally without putting the ribbon back in it. ✦

✦ "The Canterbury Tales? That sounds interesting... I'll stay up only for a little bit. I haven't read anything since yesterday morning so little bit won't hurt." She whispered quietly to herself as she climbed into the bed, laying the brush on the ground before pulling the covers over herself. When she pulled the book into her lap and began to read it she got lost in the literature and never actually made it to sleep until closer to midnight when her eyes just couldn't stay open any longer and she ended up slumping her head to the side a bit with the books till open in her lap. ✦

After a few minutes, Jonathan checked on the drone's camera to see if she made it back to her cell, only to find it at a bad time when she was in the middle of changing. He quickly turned off the feed with a dark blush on his face. He then hit himself in the face a couple times. "What the hell is wrong with me...I shouldn't be like this..." he said to himself quietly as he got ready for bed himself. All he pretty much did was take off his shirt and jumped into bed, falling asleep quickly.

Early that next morning, Jonathan and several other guards were waiting at the tunnel entrance. As the sun was fully risen, nothing happened. Everyone looked at eachother confusingly. However, they heard loud creaking coming in from the tunnel, and a large piece of metal was coming at them fast. "Everyone duck!" he said quickly as he ducked, however, the others didn't react in time, as they were crushed by whatever came at them. Upon further inspection, Jonathan's face quickly went from confusion to sudden shock. "That's an arm..." he said as the piece of metal went back into the tunnel. "Boss! We are picking up some strange movement out in the horizon! Something just came out of the ground...scratch that! Another one just came up from the ground! They are huge!" Jonathan heard from one of the guards as he then started hearing loud turret fire. "Boss! Our guns arent' working. Whatever these things are, they are heading right for us!" the guard said as the firing continued. "Dammit...I need to get a better look." he said as he quickly rushed outside, as whatever was in the tunnel broke through the ground behind where the tunnel was formed. Jonathan looked at what was attacking them, with sudden disbelief. "I don't believe it....they built one..." he said as he witnessed a large mech coming from the ground, letting out a loud metallic shriek.

✦ The sudden screams of people as they ran about outside startled her awake. Her book fell to the ground but at the moment she didn't care, all that she could process was a loud metal shriek and more screams. This worried her. No one should be screaming in fear and she was pretty sure that those metallic screeches were not normal around here. Without a second that she jumped out of bed and went to the bars of her cell, cursing her luck when neither of the drones were there. "I'm not that big. Maybe I could..." Without putting anymore thought into it she turned her body sideways and attempted to slide through the bars of the cell. It was definitely a struggle but she did eventually manage to force herself through the gap after a few minutes of stuggling with the metal bars. Once freed she wasted no time in running to the railing and looking down at the commotion below. "Oh god... I have to find Mildred and Jonathan!" She gasped, pushing away from the railing and running off in search of Mildred first. ✦

✦ Everyone seemed to be in a panic as she shoved through them, her mind only thinking of finding her new mentor so that she could help her hide. Only when she finally found Mildred's room it was empty and with no sign of where she could have gone. "Mildred!" She called out, her voice being drowned out by the people who were panicking around her, unaware of the girl's distress. "Jonathan! He might know where she is! I have to find Jonathan!" She panted hard as she hived through the people to the railing. She climbed up onto the railing, grabbing ahold of one of the support beams to keep herself balanced, before looking out among the crowd for the resistance leader.✦

Jonathan met up with several of his defense guards, watching as they continued firing upon it with their rifles and turrets, and the air drones flying towards the mechs, firing upon them as well. "What the hell is going on?! Why didn't we pick these things up before?! No seismograph activity? No earthquakes? Nothing?!" Jonathan shouted. It was obvious that he was very upset. "I'm sorry boss but these things took us by surprise! They must be much deeper into the earth than we thought!" The guard exclaimed. Jonathan was obviously irritated. Nothing we have can knock these things down?!" Jonathan asked. The guard shook his head. "No boss, we got nothing. The only thing that can take those down is another one of those!" the guard exclaimed again. Jonathan let out a sigh. "Alright, I need you to get everyone to evacuate! We can't have anymore unnecessary deaths! I'll be right back!" Jonathan exclaimed as he made his way to the storage building.

Meanwhile, the Junker Mech was attacking their defenses, so that the other two made it with much ease. It then noticed someone hanging from a railing. It then noticed that it was the princess. It's arm reached up and grabbed her, bringing it closer to it. "Ach tang choro nich alli ta priita Vivian!" the mech exclaimed in a weird foreign language. Before anything else could happen, something exploded out of the storage building. The Junker Mech looked at it's direction, only for something to land directly behind it, and stood up fully, overshadowing the mech. Before it could react however, it quickly grabbed the Junker Mech's arm. "Get away from her you b***h!" it said in what sounded like Jonathan's voice as it punched the Junker Mech hard enough to where the arm it was holding onto detached as the Junker Mech went flying skidding across the ground. It then let Vivian on the ground gently, freeing her from it's grasp. "Get to safety, i'll take these guys on." he said as he made his way to the mechs.
