Swooping down, Fear expanded his wings to catch the updraft, slowing and descending smoothly onto the ground. Jas landed heavily beside him, looking over curiously as Ajicka and the bird-pokemon gave him a look. He crooned questioningly, but Ajicka shook her head, sliding off Fearow's back and patting his neck. She thanked him, to which he ruffled his feathers and held his head high. Smiling a bit at the proud pokemon, she returned him to his pokeball and looked around. Oreburgh... If she remembered right, it housed the first gym leader of this region. She didn' treally plan on taking on the gyms of this region like she had been doing with Kanto, but she figured that before she got into the intense training of trying to level up her stronger pokemon, she might as well keep training some of her lower level pokemon, some of which she had with her.
Given they were actually already at a fairly decent level, taking on the gym leader seemed like a good way to do that. First, though, she figured she would make a trip to the pokecenter, to make sure she had who she wanted to use, and to get everyone some food.

While she waited for her pokemon to be looked over and fed, the trainer decided she should probably stock up. It had been a little while since she had actually gone shopping, and there were a few things she needed. And wanted, apparently-- the shop had a few curious items that she quickly snatched up, deciding to look into them further when she had the time.

Given the rather... formidable training regime Ajicka was planning, she didn't mind taking her time a bit to let her pokemon eat and enjoy themselves. In fact, she lounged in the waiting room of the Pokecenter, looking at maps and tactical books while she waited. She was still full from her meal with Zero, so for the time being, she didn't really need any more food.
Instead she focused on strategizing, and planning out her journey, eager to look forward, so she could avoid any backward glances...

For now, Ajicka was goign to focus on Sinnoh. She wasn't going to try and get very many badges, just two or three, maybe four, depending on how, exactly, things went, but she would likely train up her lower level pokemon for a bit, and then switch to her stronger ones, using them with any other gyms she might come across, and any trainers on her way to the island. Once she actually got to the island... it would be battle after battle. Without a doubt, her and her pokemon would be worked hard, but hopefully it would pay off.
Speaking of battling, though... she really needed to sit down and take a look at her pokemon's moves, at some point. She was fairly content with them as it were, but she needed to look a few over, see what she might want to change. And she had that new item, too... If it really did what the shopkeeper said it did, then it could come in great use...

Once Ajicka had her pokemon situated and fed, she decided to head over for the gym. Despite the fact that she didn't like using type advantages, she made an exception for gyms, at least, certainly when she was training a pokemon, and this counted. In the future, she would likely try and be a bit more fair, but for now, she wanted to try and get her pokemon stronger and give them a bit more battle experience before she started doing hard core training with her stronger pokemon.
Entering the gym, she lifted her head up, already pulling a pokeball from her belt. "I challenge the leader of this gym to a battle!" she called out. The young man looked over from a conversation he was having with one of the others in the gym, said somethign to them, then approached the battle field as Ajicka stepped up. "My name is Roark, I'm the leader of this gym! If you think you can take on my rock pokemon, then I welcome the challenge!" he called back. His pokeball was already in hand before he finished the line, and as she gave a nod, he released a Geodude.
Smirking, she released Smoochum, immediately stepping forward and throwing an arm out. "Smoochum! Start things off with Powder Snow!" she called out, launching the battle into a fast paced exchange. Much as she used her type advantage, she was also at a disadvantage, given the opponent had his own super effective move. It didn't help that none of the moves she used were freezing the target, but she hadn't been relying on it. Finally, the geodude went down, and Roark used Leer to prepare to finish Smoochum off with his Cranidos-- she immediately returned Smoochum, and barely escaped the poor baby pokemon getting knocked out when the confusion she had inflicted the turn before, managed to turn the pokemon's attack onto itself.
Feeling a bit confident-- and relieved-- after the near escape, she sent out Ivysaur, flinching a bit when he saw him quickly backpedal. She had... completely forgot that he hadn't been out since the event. And that hadn't exactly gone well for him. "Ivysaur, you've got this! Remember, we've got an Ace if we need it! Come on, pull through, and start by putting it to sleep and storing energy!" she encouraged. The grass type shook where he stood, glancing uncertainly back at her, but then opening his bulb a bit, releasing the sleep powder, and collecting energy for a solarbeam attack. Unfortunately, the nap didn't last long, but once more confusion took effect, and it didn't take long for Ivysaur to finish it off.
Which only left Onix, and after one weak hit from the pokemon, Ivysaur took it down with another solarbeam, shaking himself and looking a bit more confident as Ajicka returned him.

Gym Leader Roark
As his Onix was crushed, Roark stared at the fallen rock snake with awe and shock, returning it to its pokeball with a laugh of bewilderment. "Wow! That Ivysaur of yours is strong!" He commended. "And of course, your Smoochum was a great contender too, I won't leave her out." Roark smiled. "You are more than worthy of this gym badge, you flattened us. Very well done." The miner met with Ajicka in the center of the battlefield with a badge and a TM. "Here you are ma'am, the Coal badge and the TM76, otherwise known as Stealth Rock."He gave a short bow. "I hope we can have a rematch someday at our full strength. It would surely be a wondrous fight with a talented trainer like you." Roark straightened himself and gave Ajicka a smile. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to get back to the mines. Good luck on your journey!" With that, he turned to head to the mine shaft, where he would heal his pokemon and continue working.

Ajicka didn't try to be modest, but she at least didn't brag-- she gave a conceding nod to his praise, a bit appreciative of it, and strode out to meet him. "Thanks," she said, taking the badge and giving another concise nod, then heading out. She appreciated the praise, and honestly, if he had stronger pokemon, she would rematch him no problem. She'd even try and use some of her other pokemon, maybe Jas, or Arrow, or... well... maybe someone who didn't have such a strong type disadvantage, depending on what moves she had available...
Stepping out of the gym, she headed for the pokecenter, rubbing her temple and getting her pokemon healed. With that done, she sat down, closing her eyes to consider her options. The next gym was a grass type, if she remembered right. Tempting as it was to go and set the place ablaze with Jas, she didn't really want to go that heavy on the over kill, and she'd rather use it as a training experience. That being said... she wasn't really sure her pokemon were up for taking the gym on. Fearow could maybe handle it, Smoochum could do some damage, she had Ducklett, and a few others, but... She really needed to get in on training her stronger pokemon, too.
Sighing, she stood up, deciding to start moving towards Battle Island, through Mt. Coronet.

It had certainly been far too long since Ajicka had her original team with her. Or rather, in her active party. She had been carrying them with her since she woke up, for sheer safety precautions, but actually have them resting on her belt, ready ofr action... It had been quite a while. And she was so ready to resume battling. She could almost sense the same feeling from them, especially Nidoking, who hadn't been out and about for a while. Which meant something, given the large, poison pokemon wasn't typically very eager for battle.
She had decided to head for Mt. Coronet, so that she could make her way to Snowpoint City, but released several of her pokemon, allowing them to stretch their legs, and begin warming up a bit. She paused as that strange feeling started to brush over her mind, but quickly shook it off. She couldn't help, though, but to glance around, narrowing her eyes as she spotted a rather... noticeable figure. A man with purple and dark hair, leaning casually against the building, watching a group out of the corner of his eye with a smirk. He seemed to sense she was looking at him, though, and shifted his gaze to her, his smirk growing a bit as he caught her gaze. She simply stared back, eyes slitted. There was something... odd about him.
Nidoking grumbled beside her, leaning down and giving her a nudge, which stirred her into action, but as she walked towards the edge of town, she passed by, and the guy spoke up. "Do I have something on my face, girlie?" he asked, though her gaze had shifted. She sneered, rolling her eyes and eliciting a laugh from him, and striding on by, with Nidoking and Jolteon by her side, and Fearow and Jas flying up above.

※Yuki Murasaki※ Pokémon Trainer Pokémon Seen: 007 Pokémon Caught: 005 •••
It took longer than expect for Yuki to make it to Oreburgh city. Even with Houndour's help and the occasional look at his PokeNav, it took a while to actually get there. Despite it taking as long as it did, he managed to come across some Sitrus Berries on his travels. Yuki had added them into his bag, not sure when he might need them in the future. He wasn't really sure what to do with berries, he hadn't really seen them much where he lived. Either way, he was excited to gain something new that he could try on his adventure. Houndour had been out of his ball and travelling with his trainer, but it looked like the pokemon was tired. Yuki took the pokeball from his belt and spoke to Houndour. "You did good today, thanks for helping me get here, I don't plan on leaving for awhile, so I might need you again." His pokemon nodded his head to Yuki, glad to have been of help again. The blond haired trainer returned Houndour and placed the pokeball back on his belt. Yuki was at the outskirts of the city and decided to head into the mining community and try to learn more about Oreburgh. Maybe he'd figure out what to do about the gym and also good places to train before that took place.

Yuki spent a lot of time walking around the City, talking to the people who lived there. This place wasn't as big as Jubilife, so it didn't take as long to figure out what he should do next. From what he was told, the best place to train and maybe even run into other trainers was in the mines. Yuki wasn't so sure he wanted to go into a mine, it wasn't exactly what he wanted to do. Then again, he was on an adventure and doing stuff he didn't like wasn't unusual to him. He actually enjoyed trying new things and going to new places. With that thought in mind, the trainer let out a sigh and decided to check out the mine. Yuki headed toward the mine, he had been given good directions and for once wasn't entirely lost. As he made it to the entrance of the mine, a large mushroom caught his eye. Yuki walked over to it and decided that he might be able to make use of it in the future. He picked the big mushroom and put it away in his bag before continuing into the mine.

Yuki slowly and carefully entered the mine, not wanting to rush the adventure inside. It was surprisingly bright inside the cave as it was obvious that people were still using it to mine. Lights lined the tops of the wall and the further Yuki moved forward, it was still well lit. The mine was rather long and large and was quite interesting to the young trainer. Even though he wasn't used to this kind of place, it was nice to try exploring different places. As he made it further inside, something caught his eye in the distance. It looked to him like a light blue stone and it seemed like it was quite unique. Slowly he approached it and as he reached for it, another hand reached for it to. Yuki was a little surprised and took a step back as the other person did too. It turned out to be another pokemon trainer and without much convincing it turned into a battle for the shiny light blue stone.

Yuki and the trainer had quite the hard hitting battle that could have gone either way. Despite the trainer having some really strong pokemon, Yuki somehow managed to survive and defeat them all. Even though it was his first battle against another trainer, he did really well and learned a lot. Of course he didn't enjoy seeing any of his pokemon faint, but that was just the nature of pokemon battles. Since he beat the other trainer, Yuki picked up the light blue shiny stone and without any more conversation, he started to head back to Oreburgh, he'd probably need to visit the pokemon center before trying to do anything else. Yuki wasn't sure he was ready to take on the gym yet, but he wouldn't be able to do much training with his pokemon being so tired.

Arriving in the city Simon returned Noivern and checked the information on this city. So it looked like this was not only a mining town but home of the first gym in this region. The key things he could see was the Oreburgh Mining Museum and the mine itself. There were a few wild Pokemon he could catch around here but they would be all low level and instant defeat Pokemon. Oh wait a second, the museum wasn't just a place to learn but a place to revive the fossils Simon already had. Deciding to do that he started towards museum.

Entering the museum Simon asked for the researcher who would be able to help him. Heading into the back with one he took out Old Amber and gave it to the man to revive it. Up on the screen Aerodactyl appeared. The next item was the Helix Fossil and after a few moments Omanyte appeared on the screen with the information below: "Omanyte the spiral Pokemon. Omanyte is one of the ancient and long-since-extinct Pokemon that have been regenerated from fossils of people. If attacked by an enemy, it withdraws itself inside its hard shell."

The last and most recently discovered fossil showed that this Pokemon was Lileep. The data below the image came up as "Lileep the sea lily Pokemon. Lileep became extinct approximately a hundred million years ago. This ancient Pokemon attaches itself to a rock on the seafloor and catches approaching prey using tentacles shaped like flower petals." Thanking the researcher he told him he'd be back if he found the last fossil.
