Riley put Niko away, telling him he'd done a good job. While Cal was gloating and Dakota was loudly attempting to back track on their deal an unexpected voice startled Riley. "Hey. You said you were looking for a sixth pokemon, right?" Riley blinked to find Scott next to her. He moved so quiet, and she hadn't really thought he liked her all that much. "Um, yeah?" Scott nodded his head to himself. "There's a rumor about a cave underneath the bike path. They say you can find a dragon there." Riley gaped. A dragon?! That would be super powerful! "Wow, that sounds great! Thanks Scott!" Riley immediately spun around, facing the others. "Hey guys, thanks for the battles! But I gotta get my pokemon healed up and get going!" Dakota stopped what she was doing to wave goodbye, but Cal tackled her immediately afterwards. Luke, who'd been smiling warmly at the exchange between Riley and Scott, raised a hand in farewell. "Thanks again, Scott," Riley said. She started to dash off, but paused a moment. "You know, you're a lot nicer than you seemed at first. I don't think you're much of an ice queen at all, are you?" Then she grinned like an idiot, running off towards the pokemon center with thoughts of dragons in her head and leaving behind a small group of trainers that thought the days to come looked a bit brighter than they had that morning.

Adrenaline pumped through Riley's veins as she ran back into town to heal up her pokemon. A dragon, a dragon! That was just the kind of pokemon she needed for her team! It was also great to have a clear goal that she could reach, now. She could find this dragon, and afterwards she could head through the mountain to Hearthome city and start traveling between the eastern gyms.

When Riley had her pokemon back, she released Zeke. "Hey buddy," she said, patting him on the head. The bat with the over-sized gob screeched happily and started to flutter atop Riley's head. He remembered, finally, about being too big for that now, and instead he hopped atop the ottoman. "So that last battle got me thinking you need a serious powerup, buddy." Zeke nodded in agreement.
After some careful thought and looking things up on her pokedex and with the pokemon center's computers, Riley decided to give Zeke her Return TM along with one heart scale to teach him Super Fang.

The two wild pokemon were Hoothoots, so Riley chose Niko to be Zeke's teammate. Unfortunately, that meant that when Niko used Discharge it did some serious damage to Zeke as well as their opponents. "Zeke, shake it off and show 'em your return!" Zeke flew forwards and absolutely wrecked a poor Hoothoot with his new powerful attack. While Niko finished the other one off Zeke flew to Riley, chittering happily and batting at her with his wings. He was so excited and proud that he forgot how heavy he was and knocked Riley over again.
