As she continued to roll down the course, Rosy was grinning from ear to ear. She was having - in one word - a blast. She continued to keep an eye out for rats, wanting to do well. After all - she wanted to score as many points as she could. She was really glad that she was doing so well on the board, even though she had only ridden them on video games prior. She was feeling way more confident now, which only made her want to do even better now that she'd found her footing. She kept her eyes scanning the gallery, trying to spot a nice juicy target to snag for maximum points. She might as well get the best score she could.
When she spotted another rat, her grin widened and she crouched a little lower to try and gain some speed so she could get it before anyone else could. Locked on her target, she tried to keep her body as steady on the board as she could as she leaned out, snagging the rat into her outstretched hand and pulling it close to her chest before rising a bit more on the board.
She let her fingers dig into the plush, feeling her nails begin to tear the seams, whatever it was filled with began to ooze out of the ripped stitching as she allowed herself the pleasure of slowly tearing the rat plush apart piece by piece. She started with the legs, pulling each one off slowly, feeling the resistance of the stitching as she yanked and cut into the thread with her nails. Then she removed the tail, yanking it hard with a swift twist. Then she yanked it hard - ripping it in half. Then she grabbed the head, twisting it roughly until it tore away, she tossed it carelessly over her shoulder.
Once she tossed the head away from her board, she allowed the board to speed along the gallery. She felt like she'd done well enough that she didn't need to kill any more rats. Besides, if she got to the end before Spinar did - she'd be able to spend more time with him before they had to leave the class once they were dismissed. She allowed the board to roll freely toward the end of the gallery - hoping that she'd manage to get there before her boilfriend.

Xyra growled as she stomped down the gallery, keeping to one side of the corridor so as to not get run down by the other students behind her on their boards. She had only just started this so called "class" and she was already so much done. Her heels clicked loudly against the smooth floor of the walkway - hissing as she spied another rat.
She didn't even bother with the skateboard this time. In fact, she had half a mind to throw it at the next student that buzzed by her too closely - but she wasn't in that bad of a mood - yet. Snatching up the offending plush toy, she snarled and wrung it in her hands, tugging roughly on it as she attempted to split it open. She heard it rip and with no joy she shredded it in her nails. This was doing nothing for her anger - if anything, it was only making it worse since these rats were merely representations of how much this wasn't a class.
She was so completely done, so she decided she wasn't going to stick around and deal with this waste of time anymore. This wasn't a real class in her eyes - so, what if the professor didn't pass her with flying colors. She'd shown up and participated - he could shove off. Stomping her way down to the exit of the gallery, she didn't plan on sticking around when she got out. She didn't care if Zel or Zaire saw her at this point, just so long as they didn't run her over. If they ran her over though she would legitimately murder them, with their skateboards. She would leave Zaire's boilfriend a widower she didn't care at this point she was so worked up.
Sighing, she pinched the bridge of her nose, her heels clicking along even louder as she picked up the pace. She was going to get to the end of the gallery, and wait to be dismissed so she could go home and study and relax from all this stress...

Jory gave his boilfriend a sheepish sort of smile and a shrug. How as he to know hey would be expected to ride skateboards and beat up stuffed rats. At least it wasn't actual battle, because Jory would not have been up for that. He was doing better, but his ankle was still tender, and he would not have been keen to chance making it worse.
This, however, seemed plausible.
Jory offered no argument in regards to the selected course, and he fell into step behind the mahamba for a time, smacking at rats as he went.
While Zaire was envisioning the hunter that had faced Jory, the afanc actually found this all pretty entertaining. He wasn't carrying the worry Zaire was, so this was just fun.
And after a few rats had been smacked off their strings, the smaller boil had the bold(and possibly reckless) idea to actually use the skateboard as it was intended. The ground was pretty flat, he had good balance, if he just kept his weight on his good ankle, he should be fine, right? Right.
So he strapped his helmet on, and he put the board on the ground and, very carefully, stepped onto it. It was a little wobbly, but not bad, and bolstered by the fact that he hadn't immediately fallen onto his face, he gave a little nudge with his tail to get himself moving.
And he actually wasn't half bad at it. Steering took a minute to figure out, but managed it, and with another push of his tail he was rolling a little quicker, actually catching up with Zaire, and passing him. "You should try it," he urged as he rolled slowly past, smiling. "It's not as hard as it looks."
Almost absently he smacked at a rat.

Mery was going with the easy course because she had never in her life been on anything even remotely close to a skateboard. There was sure to be a learning curve.
So she gave the boils a quick wide-eyed look as she strapped her helmet on, and gave Anna a soft nudge. A little protective, perhaps, or possibly she just wanted the company. Her tail curled loosely around the behemoth's ankle as she neared the course and set the board down. "This should be interesting." Or disastrous.
Lips pressed in a thin line, the chimera stepped up carefully onto the board, wings flared for balance. It was wobbly, but then Merry was used to balancing on tree branches, so she adjusted pretty quickly. It was getting the thing moving that was a bit of a challenge. She kicked off, slowly, and gave a little squeak as she started moving.
"Careful Anna, go slow." Which was exactly what Merry was doing. She didn't try to move quickly, but instead concentrated on staying upright and hitting rats as she passed them. The latter proving to be pretty darn easy.

The sheepish look was met by a defeated smile, he knew the other couldn't have known but still. Surrendered he went after the stuffed rats, using it to vent pent up frustrations. Each smack to target was met with a satisfied growl of approval, one that came low and edged with hate. As he went looks were passed to Jory, watching him like a hawk and ready to swoop in if need be. Though the other seemed to be doing fine, going slow and smacking a few rats which was pretty impressive even if they were stuffed. It was a sign, at least to him, that his boilfriend was starting to feel better and the plus was it actually looked like Jory was having fun.
That alone helped lighten Zaire's own mood, though the rats still resembled the hunter to him and each was met with heavy hard swings that knocked them clean from the stings that strapped them to the walls or ceiling.
Luckily, and much to the mahamba's delight when he had looked back the last time, Jory was at least going slow and staying behind him. At least he had been for awhile until Zaire glanced back again only to see Jory passing him. While he had hoped that Jory would mind the ankle and not try to ride the thing, he was disappointed in that Jory seemed to have other plans, though didn't speak out to discourage the other. Jory had to learn and if it was the hard way Zaire couldn't stop that, only be there to coddle of course afterwords.
Admittingly he was impressed again, if annoyed, but damn Jory looked pretty cool on that thing. He seemed to be handling it well which was more than he could hope for but still worried urged him to move faster and in turn got him more frustrated because moving sucked. Frowning at the words tanned features went tight and instead of answering the call he dropped the skateboard and tried clumsily to get on it. Only managing to fall and kick the thing about half way down the path afterwords. Annoyance flared as he chased after it and rats fell in the wake, torn from the strings and beheaded by sharp vicious claws.
Without much thought a rather unamused look was shot to Jory before a gruff call of, "..slow down." Zaire was most angry at himself however, and once more tried to climb onto the board as he caught it. Still for a moment he frowned then sat on it, feet extending forward to make it easier then tail moving out to push him. Sailing down the path after Jory a small, brief, smile broke as he butt scooted on the skateboard. It was actually pretty cool when he calmed down enough to get it. Scooting along rats were teared off the walls by long tanned arms, ripped then tossed over his shoulder, all of them by the heads.
Since that's exactly what he intended to do to the hunter when he caught him again, rip his head clean off his body. Then probably eat him, but he didn't really feel like eating plush stuffing at the moment so in that aspect the stuffed rats were safe. Another look passed to Jory, this one clearly to his ankle as Zaire pushed with his arm off the wall to get closer to the other boil. Still silent the stare broke to a nearby target, tail pushing hard against the ground the monster sailed forward and sliced with claws at it. Successfully ripping it in two in one swift motion.

Jory, meanwhile, was totally oblivious to the worried and annoyed glances that were aimed at his back. He was getting the hang of the skateboard, the rats were easy enough to swat at as he passed, it was fun, and considering how very limited he'd been feeling since getting hurt, it was a well needed boost to his personal confidence. Zaire was supportive, always there to help him, and Jory of course appreciated it, but he was going to have to regain a little of his lost independence eventually, much to the mahamba's chagrin no doubt.
It was all smooth sailing for the afanc, and with concentration on what he was doing, he missed whatever mishaps might have been befalling behind him. Not until that gruff call had him glancing back. Automatically he responded, tail dragging the floor to slow him up some as he turned innocent eyes back to the other boil.
A soft frown formed as he watched Zaire try to climb onto the board, but it faded as the taller boil just sank down to sit on it. Clever, very clever. Once his boilfriend started picking up momentum Jory gave another push with his tail so he wouldn't get left behind.
And he'd catch that flick of glowing eyes to his ankle, and a reassuring smile followed as he reached out to catch Zaire's shoulder, catching a ride with the other boil. "I'm fine." He might have been on wheels, but he was still just standing, and that was easy for him. It was the walking that still twanged a bit.
Having managed to hit his fair share of targets, Jory didn't bother trying to get more. He held onto Zaire's shoulder and let himself get pulled around while the taller monster demolished the plushes, leaving little mauled bodies in their wake.
