So.... doing an interest inventory for future reference so that in 100 years after I finally get my plate cleaned off, I'll know what may be most worthwhile to spend my time on. How many would be interested in:
a) shelling out dough for RL commissions from me {RL commissions -will- be done in a more timely manner, not only because -I'll- be more motivated to work if I know I'm getting paid actual money, but also the spouse isn't going to be as insistent that I do something else if -they- know I'm getting paid}
b) subscribing to a blog in which I will gradually, through hopefully regular updates, be going through Tes and Ry's backstory all the way back from when they were kids up until Tes left Norrath.... possibly even beyond that depending on if I'm burned out on it by then.
I won't have a price table for the RL commissions {at least not initially} and they will be donation based. What that means is that I won't have a set price for anything and you'll instead be paying what you think it's worth or what you're willing to give for it. Depending on how that goes, I might implement a price table later based on what I was getting or if it seems like it's going to be necessary if I feel like I'm being gypped.
If taking RL commissions, at the bare minimum I would want to be making an average of $20 a month to pay for a photoshop subscription.
It may be plausible to do both the blog and the RL commissions depending on what kind of workload I'm going to be looking at for the commissions, but the commissions would take priority over the blog unless I were to somehow be getting donations to continue the blog that exceed the art commissions.

Started on Jinx's piece but don't think I'll get to work on it much as long as the spouse keeps calling off from work stare While they are trying to encourage me to do art more so I can get better and quicker at it as well as start selling, I don't want to deal with the potential s**t I would get for what I have in mind for this piece.
Edit: coincidentally, I found this image on the front page of deviantART just a moment ago. I think it would actually make a good reference picture for what I had in mind for how Jinx will be posed.

Sketching stage done. Time to start laying down cleaner lines. On another note, I think I want to replace Grunny with chibi Draa emotion_kirakira *pets*

Jinx is looking good, but I think her legs are way too chunky from thigh to calf. At first I wasn't sure if I was just seeing double lines on the legs or something that was a part of Taus was blending in with her legs, but I remembered what boots she used for her outfit. I'm not sure if you've started on the colors yet, but I think the middle line of the boots where the color changes should be where her leg shapes from, if that makes sense. sweatdrop

I was looking right at the reference when I drew the clothes. Might make more sense when the colors go down. I've only started putting down her skin color and then other stuff came up. I'll see what I can do about the legs next time I work on it. I also noticed I forgot Taus' horns emotion_facepalm I blame the fact that I never wear them on the avatar because it looks weird. Nevermind that I always forget to draw Vass' horns as well. ninja

Fixed the legs {hopefully}, fixed something with Taus' arm that had been bothering me, added horns, started on laying down flat colors. Not a whole lot different with this WIP than the last, but at least it's something.

Dafuq? emotion_eyebrow I didn't even get a warning or anything, just up and deleted it. It honestly was only altered in the ways I said... fixed the legs, fixed Taus' arm, added horns, started flat color. Pose and whatnot was exactly the same as the previous WIP {which is still in my gallery...}, but if that's how photobucket's going to be, looks like I'm moving to tumblr.
