Short Summary of their plotline: Childhood sweethearts that sing together wherever they go
What are their Parents Personalities?
Mother: Aerlinniel loves to sing. She's playful and sweet as well as very ladylike. She loves to spend time with her friends and family. She is what you call a social butterfly. She has kind of a thing for knights and thinks that she's found hers in her mate.
Father: Ganesha is very clever who loves his mother very dearly. He is the youngest of Parva's first three sons, and the only purebred unicorn of the lot. He not only does not associate with his father, he denies that he even has a father. Ganesha is very protective of his mother, and would definitely be the sort to chase potential dates he considers unworthy away...especially his own father. Ganesha is very interested in hearing songs and stories, anything one can tell him fascinates him. He believes that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and is willing to be impartial...though if he thinks you have a bad attitude, he might try to fix your bad attitude, unless he feels you can't help your nature. He loves beautiful things, songs, and stories

Short Summary of their plotline: The drawing point for Aria and Payton has been (aside from a chance meeting when Aria was much younger) that Aria has been travelling looking for someone to serve as a surrogate for. This is in as much accordance with her own beliefs as her herd's, and she simply wishes to make her family and herd proud with an extraordinarily good deed, given out of the kindness of her heart.
They decide to travel together, as well, and as they spend time with one another and Aria confides in her current purpose, the spark of attraction has been growing between the pair. Payton finds himself drawn towards her because of her giving and yet calm nature, her "gift" to a matepair that is unable to conceive for themselves causes no small amount of admiration towards the wingless creature he's encountered for a second time, now. And with Aria, she's always had a small crush on him and greatly admires his wings, and his general gentile demeanor has managed to capture her attention and affection again.
This is a love that is sure to grow overtime and become stronger, and better.
What are their Parents Personalities?
Mother: Aria is a resonant individual, though she cannot carry a tune in a bucket, much like her father. Her own resonance shines through in that she tends to be a very calm individual, and prefers to term it something like being like water. While some surfaces may be placid, the potential to adapt and stay calm (or turn into a raging tempest capable of shifting the very earth itself), what she feels isn't exactly hidden on the inside beneath that calm, mature exterior, but it is directed to suit her purpose.
Father: He's sweet and compassionate; he believes in the secret and the law of attraction, What goes around comes around and he really likes to travel. He believes in 'mentality to reality' that if you think and believe it's possible you can make it possible.
Do the parents have professions?
Mother: Traveller; Aria has no official "profession" within the Padmapani Herd, but with the recent turn of events, this may change.
Father: Payton doesn't have a set profession either, and is simply a wanderer for the moment.

o Samsara's 'herd' closes in and attacks! In the ensuing fight, Vara leads the non-combatant members away, trying to get them to safety! Zulian eventually kills Aria's father, Nirvana, whose Angeni heritage comes shining through when he needs it most.
x The Murder of Hope
o The non-combatant members of the Padma herd flee, lead by Vara who names Shrivatsa the new herd Alpha, officially, and moves to return to Scythe's side! But the fleeing herd members are ambushed! Aria's elder sister, Bodhi dies in the ensuing fight between Xellos, and Aria is one of the few members that actually follow the new Alpha's command to stick in a group. Samsara's followers suffer minor (but still personal) losses while the Padma herd seem to suffer greatly in the wake of the attack.*
* While not an active part in the events until later noted, these three threads will definitely affect the "pseudo"-calm and adapting-like-water personna that Aria credits herself for.
What is their family dynamics? Both Payton and Aria will be raising the foals. If they happen to get a breeding before her potential surrogate, we might tweak the timeline, or we'll work it in so that it's explained in a way that makes sense.
Both Payton and Aria tend to appreciate travel, but for the first part of their foals' lives, I'd imagine they would stick to a glade, or close to Aria's family's herd. Despite the danger Samsara presents to the herd and as traumatizing as the events have been, Aria will need the security of her family's herd more than ever.
Traditions:

o Celebrations on the night of the first full moon in January! A good time to be had by all!
x Avalokiteshvara's Birthday
o Misinterpreted by some herd members, there are always a bunch that heap presents on the (now previous) Alpha mare, who is rather put-off that they interpret this "holiday" in that regard, but overall it's met with good grace, and most members still recognize that this day is for their main deity, Avalokiteshvara, and worshiping her.
x Festival of the Floating Bowls
o While not a tradition with its origins known, the entire herd gathers once a year and creates small bowls from leaves and other materials with a bit of kindle set in the middle. One member is designated a Flame Runner from the Kawani village and carries a torch back. It is said all the negativity floats down the river with these boats. It creates a feeling of unity and togetherness.
Herd/Family culture: Padmapani Herd
Though in joining the Padmapani herd it may seem as if there are many rules that must be followed, the truth of it is simple. The main tenant of the herd is compassion. Vara's own life has been moved much by compassion and she has tried to teach her descendants to feel that same way when looking upon themselves and others. This includes treating soquili respectfully, regardless of personality or breed. Vara herself has a half-kalona son so knows well that appearances can oftentimes be deceptive. The compassion in the Padmapani herd runs deeply throughout each of it's members, or so Vara would like to believe. With this compassion comes a willingness to help others. The Padmapani herd will never turn away a hurt or troubled soquili, even if they are a stranger.
Though the herd as a whole is peaceful and kind, there is much variation in the individuals that make up the herd. Perfection is something that no mortal soquili can achieve and no member of the herd is without their faults. However, in the Padmapani herd these faults and mistakes are forgiven. After all, what is family without forgiveness?
Religious Beliefs: The Padmapani herd follow a loose version of Mahayana Buddhism. They believe in Karma and that actions have results, which feeds in to their belief in fate and destiny. They are not generally very showy about expressing their beliefs. Most often, they might meditate in silence or chant "om mani padme hum" to invoke Avalokiteshvara in a moment of stress or need. While Aria follows her herd's belief's, she also feels the need to adapt, as her current personality dictates. Payton's beliefs coincide with this, though they are more towards his own personality and were not developed in the Padmapani Herd, but through his own thoughts and feelings and experiences.
