transfiguration spring term 2011 lesson 3 up

The first one succeeding, if only by a bit, she tries for the next one, changing stone into glass.

She sighs with relief, then makes her summary: "Transmutation is more mental then physical. Even if you wave around your wand in the right way, you can't complete the spell without concentrating on the desired outcome. The harder you focus, the better it works!"

Riku haves a go at changing a iron cup into a steel cup.

Riku tries again at turning iron to steel. Concentrating hard.

I did it!

Riku now tries with a stone cup trying to change it into a glass cup.

Riku does it! Doing it on the first time.

Amelia listen to her professor and tries, "presto chango" she points and swishes to the cup

wow! i changed the cup sweet, hmm lets continue to the next part of the classwork

Amelia looks at the cup and tries again *presto chango*
, i did it i hope i do better next time

Hmmmmm....Riku writes.....

My experience with transmutation is that having a clear picture in your head makes all the difference. I found I had a bit of trouble with transmutation because the mental picture in my head wasn't clear enough. I also found that having good wand work is key. If you don't swish and point your not going to get the best results...or none at all.

Amelia looks at the cup once more to change it this time to a glass cup,
oh no i transfigured it okay lets try again

Amelia points to the cup and tries again,

she fails again ugh i will try later

Amelia came back to her cup and tries again *presto chango*, she changed it but wanted to do it better oh well hahah i did it 3nodding

Amelia grabs her parchment and writes her classwork,
I think a clear picture in your mind helps, because when i first tried i was clear minded and did well. Then as i tried and failed the frustration caused me to lose me focus and that perfect image. That cuased me not to do as well as i had hoped. I think the proper concentration and dedication to do things right will be a great asset to completing transmutation right. she gets up and turns it in to her professor
