I can't stand these ignorant people sometimes. My friends and family are all like, "Vivs, be nice to them! They aren't as mature/smart as you." Screw that!
*Rant*
There's a bunch of evil girls in my class that labeled me Emo and report me to the school councilors for wearing studded wristbands, black things and skulls. I nearly had my sketchbook confiscated for all the MCR-inspired drawings in it! Not to mention the poster and project CD incident...OK I'll mention it.
On my school's casual dress day I was wearing my black flare jeans and my "Support the Arts, Date a Musician" tee, and a helluva lot of pins/buttons on my black hoodie. I'm sorting through my locker for my CDs to take home(it was the beginning of a 4-day weekend) and the school principal accompanied by the lead evil girl Theresa come by, and principal takes one look at my Black Parade poster and rips it down as well as taking my CDs! Apparently she's worried about me getting the wrong ideas about Life and Death among other things and thinking myself invincible in a bad way. After berating me in the hall for a bit,she dragged me down to her office and got freaked out over how Three Cheers had blood splatters on it and how Black Parade had marching skeletons and tumors on it.
I had to resist the urge to tell her off about how MCR is not about Death and Despair, but rather about fighting back at those who screwed you over and redeeming yourself and being upbeat no matter how much s**t gets thrown at you. And that how so-called "normal" things for a teen these days to listen to like Pussycat Dolls and 50 Cent likely cause more harm to teens by merely existing than Gerard Way singing his heart out about missing the one you love.
Oh yeah, and the evil girl was standing by Principal being all "I have saved this wretch from Damnation and the wrath of Decent Rock Music" and "Ha ha, I'm better than you." And I was all, "If I really WAS a vampire you'd be sucked drier than your shitty powder foundation by now."
*finishes rant*

Or hell, just have her read the lyrics for The black parade. If that doesn't show her just remind her that morbid does not nessisarilly mean evil. Adults may act like retards sometimes but they usually have the kid's best intrest at heart, they may not understand but they really do just want to help.

I'll probably find more fans of MCR there.
