No ******** way! I just learned that Bush will be coming out with a new full-length album either late 2010 to early 2011. It's been 9 ******** years, damn! It's titled, Everything Always Now, and I have a hunch that it'll actually be really amazing. It just seems like they reformed because they had ambition! This is one album I'll surely get! Let's just hope it stacks up to Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase in comparison.
I've given most of my At The Drive-In collection a listen to now and I'm thinking that their first album, Actrobatic Tenement, just wasn't great. But I do really like the song, "Blue Tag". In/Casino/Out, is the album I would like to hear a bit more of before I judge it but I am enjoying it for the most part so far. Relationship of Command is in my opinion, a masterpiece. Ignore "One Armed Scissor" and realize that that album is gold without it still. Not saying it's a bad song, but people s**t way too much over it.
In other new album news! Modern grunge act, Seether, will be releasing there album around January of 2011. Lots of new music is coming our way in 2011 and it's a nice change. I bet Seether's new stuff will be amazing. I can only imagine the next "Broken" on the radio. Ah... Sweet, sweet, 90s music. They haven't figured out a name though, I'll inform you when I know.
I'm really curious to see if Candlebox is going to start making a new album. They've been touring and performing at various events for about a year now but no news of an album. I hope they make more music and Show Seether that they aren't the only band who still lives in the 90s.
Even MORE new album news! Fresh from the ravine, Foo Fighters new album is coming along well! They have released some of the track names. These include; "Walk", "These Days", "Rosemary", "A Matter Of Time", "Bridge Burning", and "Rosemary". These don't sound like they're supposed to be the names of a perhaps new, heavier Foo Fighters. But It's been said by Grohl that the album will be the heaviest Foo album. It seems like it'll take some qualities from the alt. metal area, maybe a bit like Tonic without the whole acoustic guitar thing. So I guess, more like Fuel... Yeah, more like Fuel.

Song of the Day - -

Failure - Sevendust
I decided to feed you a bit more metal into your diets and threw a Sevendust track at you. The songs has key importance on it's stop-start rythyms and combined breakbeat/verses. It's got a pretty good chorus that could use a push to the positive side just a little bit, but it's got a powerful instrumental part with angry yet flowing vocal parts. If you aren't the person who knows Sevendust and doesn't wanna take a risk, then I can say they are a lot like Stone Sour with a Jamaican singer. They're good. Trust me.

Have you ever noticed when you know a friend of yours would like a band and you tell them to look them up and you know they never do. I told my friend to look up The Bravery, I'm positive he'd like them, but I know he never looked them up and now I laugh at his loss.
Also, have you noticed when Bon Jovi comes on, you're invincible. OR, just not so upset when you fail.

Julian Casablancas of The Strokes 'predicted' that their untitled upcoming fourth studio album should be out on March 11th 2011. How you 'predict' that, I just don't know. Perhaps he's a wizard that only assumes when his music will be done. Why give an exact date if you're not sure? Why not just say March'ish and call it safe? Faggots.
I heard a bluesy rock band called UFO on Pandora and thought I'd bring em' up. The song was "Quicksilver Rider" and it was rather interesting. It's got this Candlebox slash... Kenny Wayne Shepard feel to it. And vocals somewhat like Chris Cornells. (Audioslave, Soundgarden; vocalist) The song had a sweet solo that was a lot less bluesy than the rest of the song too, go listen to it guys. It's a good song.
So, iTunes made this update where they added this "ping" system to it. Holy s**t! It makes my library look like a locker. A shitty a** gym locker too. It pisses me off. They don't even have the decency to let you turn it off. Bastards.
So, the alt. metal band, Saliva, has begun work on a new album titled, Take That Society, and I have no idea how it'll be honestly. I don't know Saliva too well to begin with. They did however get a new guitarist (As read on Wikipedia) named Howard Benson. Who knows if that's gonna be a big deal though. Maybe they'll make like Papa Roach and turn gay because of it.

Song of the Day - -

Can't Change Me - Chris Cornell
It was never publicized too much, but Chris Cornell broke off of Soundgarden to work on a solo album. (And then again after Audioslave) This song was made on his first solo album, Euphoria Morning, which was after Soundgarden. The song has a very acoustic touch to it and Cornell takes to a new vocal style; singing clean, with vibrato. His voice is still recognizable of course, but it's clean now. "Can't Change Me" is a bit of a ballad with a drive to it. So it's not QUITE a ballad. It is a good song, so look it up now, chilluns.

Not to go anti-classic rock or pro-CR, I tend to like the classic rock bands when they hit the 2000's. Well, sometimes slightly earlier. I prefer new Bon Jovi to old for an example. I prefer newer Scorpions too, but I still like it all. One Classic band who I didn't care for their old stuff at all really was The Rolling Stones. I like a few songs from Bridges To Babylon and A Bigger Bang, otherwise, I don't care for them at all really. So, I guess I like neo-classic rock?
The new Jimmy Eat World album was released today, Invented. I don't really care for it actually, which doesn't suprise me. It's a lot poppier than they usually are, so, it's super ******** poppy. The singer uses a lot of vocal synth and that's gay... But... I do like two songs from it. "Littlething", it's just a less synthy song and it still sounds good. I also like "Action Needs An Audience", which another member of the band sings quite a bit in actually. That song related much more to the dirty mutes of the 80's and 90's metal than to 2000's alternative though. Not a bad pinch of songs though.
Hey, this is kinda nifty! They're making a Metallica inspired Chuck Taylor converse. The have the images from ...And Justice For All on it and they look pretty tight. Order them perhaps?
I was happy to hear today in AP magazine that Senses Fail and Bayside were touring together. I think that's a nice mix and it's, for a very rare occasion, good bands touring together without major baggage.
Speaking of tours... I can't wait for BLACKDIAMONDSKYE to end! (Alice in Chains, Deftones, and Mastodon's tour) When it ends, that means AiC can get to recording another record! And damn, I want more Alice in Chains. Although honestly, I could care less what Deftones and Mastodon go do. Like, at all.

Song of the Day - -

Planet Telex - Radiohead
I may have ranted on the use of synth today, but damn! "Planet Telex" has song cool tremelo effects and the tightest back-beat I've heard in alternative for quite some time. The song has a place on The Bends, it's actually the first track listed. Usually, The Bends get credit for having "My Iron Lung" and "Black Star", but I don't care for either of those much. This is the really good song. It's got this futuristic sound that no one else seems to replicate well.

You aren't supposed to like things just because a certain country made them. All day was just filled with hearing and reading about Japanese comics, (Which are gay as Jeffree Star) Japanese exibits in museums, and how amazing Charmander is. (No offence to a specific person on that one) I guess I'm just sick of Japan. So umm... Nuke em' again?

Big news of the day; Weezer is going to release a deluxe version of Pinkerton! I m so ******** happy!!! I love that album to death! The album has an additional 26 tracks from the original, some being acoustic and radio version, some live, some are alternate takes. But there's also new songs like, "You Gave Your Love To Me Softly", "Devotion", "Waiting On You", "I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams", "I Swear It's True", "You Wont Get With Me Tonight", "Long Time Sunshine", "Getting Up And Leaving", and lastly, "Tragic Girl". The deluxe version is 2 seperate disks of what I can only imagine as godly. I will totally be getting at least the new songs. I could care less about the live s**t really... But I strongly suggest you get yourself into this s**t.
So this is epic, Taylor Hawkins, drummer of Foo Fighters, was jamming with the Rush bassist, Geddy Lee. Geddy Lee was apperently one of Taylor's musical inspirations, so that must've been really amazing for him. I love when bands interact with each other.
I'm anticipating on checking out a copy of Heavier Than Heaven. For once, this isn't an album. It's a book. It's an autobiography on Kurt Cobain, although, it was written off of research and interviews. There's writings from Kurt I'm sure, but he didn't write the book. It came out in 2002 after all. The autobiography talks about Nirvana and Kurt's life surrounding it. My friend suggested I read it and, ******** yeah, I love the 90s. I'll do it. I hope to god they have the book though. I am a little curious how much he'll talk about Courtney Love and if he'll bring up the rise of Hole at all. Hopefully not, they're awful.
I gave the Toadies new album, Feeler, a listen the other day and... It's not amazing but it's okay. The single off of it, "Mine", is utter s**t. But the album has a few good songs. I like, "Waterfall" and "City of Hate" most. The whole album really has more of a Stone Temple Pilots feel than anything. And I suppose it works. But basically, the second half of the album is good while the first half kinda blows. Oh well, I was never a big Toadies fan anyway.

Song of the Day - -

Ghosts Of Memory - Tiger Army
A rockabilly track to remember, truly. The song enters with a double-bass (String instrument) riff with flashes of power chords with plenty of effects. The song is wonderfully arranged and flows so nicely. The chorus is the same instrumentally to the verses so it mixes a good portion of the song together that way. I think the song and the album, Music From Regions Beyond, are both one to keep around in the music stockpile forever.

First news of the day; My Chemical Romance released their first single in 4 years. It's called "Na na na" and it's really good. Like, REALLY good. It's this catchy bugglegum pop mixed in with their regular post-hardcore sound. It's a really interesting song and along with the song, they're gonna have a new album with it! It's titled, Danger Days. I don't know a whole lot about it, but I do know the album cover consists of a drawing of a spider on it. (Most likely Gerard Way drew it) Sadly, it will most likely be the bands last album because all of the members have families and Gerard has a kid. They will still probably tour once or twice after it's release though.
You wanna know two albums that blew a*****e? Bush's 3rd and 4th albums, The Science Of Things and Golden State. These albums together only produced about 2 worthwhile songs. From The Science Of Things, There was, "The Chemicals Between Us", which I wont lie, was an amazing song. But the rest of the album... Icky. Golden State had the unloved "Head Of Ghosts", which even though it got no public attention, was an amazing song in my opinion.
So I finally gave the new Stone Sour album, Audio Secrecy, a listen. The first thing I noticed was that the use of vocals harmonies were added in, they're used much more for standard vocals in the album than they ever were before. And, it sounds pretty good. Another thing I noticed was that it seemed to lean on the alternative metal side and reminded me somewhat of Sevendust due to the off topic guitar in a few songs. It's an interesting take and I think the album did itself and the band great. I'm also not sure whether to call the album heavier or softer than their previous work really either. I really like tracks 7 and 8, "Unfinished" and "Hesitate". Which "Hesitate" is like, the tightest ballad I've heard for a damn while.
Oh yeah, the reformation of Soundgarden is totally in. 3 days ago, September 28th, Telephantism was released. That's their new album. I've only heard "Black Rain" so far so I'm not sure what to say of it. You guys should check it out though.

Song of the Day - -

Thank You For The Venom - My Chemical Romance
Okay, coolest guitar intro ******** ever. I got really turned onto MCR again because yesterday, I watched their documentary, Life On The Murder Scene, and it was damn good and inspirational. The song is just very original and a very nice song to have in the musical mix. Plus, for all you finger flayers, It has one nutty guitar solo that is one of the few that are actually good that are done like that. Oh yeah, it's on their second album, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, go get this s**t!

If you're a fan of the BLACKDIAMONDSKYE tour, then your in luck. Vans made official shoes to celebrate the tour. The shoes are black, red, white, and slighly gray. So if you support the tour. Do it son. Also, they made a tour shirt for each band on the line-up. (Alice In Chains, Deftones, Mastodon)
I can finally quit feeling the pain of not having Dinosaur Jr. in my iTunes library! (Pun 100% intended) I got all of their albums and man, they're good. I like theire 2007 release, Beyond, the most. I think I like it the most because it's the heaviest. I'll be talking about my favorite song from the album in the song of the day section, so just hold on.
I also got myself a good portion of Helmet's work. I got it all besides their first record, Strap It On. It wasn't very good so I didn't even bother getting it. I can officially say my two favorite Helmet songs, at the moment, are, "Unsung" and "See You Dead". They're both amazing tracks.
Oh yeah, you can pre-order The Fire now. That's Senses Fail's new album, remember. I have a good feeling that this'll be an amazing album and perhaps top Still Searching. But we'll see about that now wont we?
It's been announced that Eve 6 is going to aim to have some new music released by the end of the year and should have a new album out in 2011. So much new music is coming out in 2011! And guess what!? Most of it has some promising results.

EmilyRaynebow Minute - -

My life is complete. Again. My Chemical Romance's "Na Na Na" is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. I cannot even phathom the words to tell you how happy I was. You know those people that say that a band saved their life? My Chem made me who I am today. Sounds cheezy, but they kinda tought me to ******** everyone else and be yourself. And, their music is great to boot.
Sad thing is, they have said that they don't specifically enjoy touring, writing and recording anymore. They said that they would continue to be a band until they didn't have fun anymore. Plus, they're all married, and Gerard has kids. Bob isn't there anymore, so it won't be the same.
Other news, ******** getting s**t for Homecoming and being poor. And, ******** Jukkula's World History Class. Damn projects...

Song of the Day - -

It's Me - Dinosaur Jr.
It's my favorite track off of Beyond and quite possibly my favorite Dino Jr. song in general. I like it so much because they mix these melodic qualities of indie rock in with the heavy push and drive of Metallica or really any 80s heavy metal act. The song is a must have for any indie lovers collection, so, go peek on the song on iTunes or youtube or somethin', and then get it. In fact, get the album. It's really good.

So, in my opinion; Helmet's a good band, well, to an extent, but none the less. I think a lot of their music get's ignored. Everyone loves "Unsung", and I'm not saying it's a bad song in the slightest. Great song. Had it stuck in my head all day in fact. I do however think that they have other good songs out there that deserve credit. "See You Dead" is an amazing song and so is "Unwound". Give there other music a listen before you j**z all over one song.
Another song suggestion! "Cut Your Ribbon" by Sparta. It's off of their debut album, Wiretap Scars. The chorus is deep and has this intense sensation of hatred expressed in a rather calm way. It's no song of the day BUT if you're an old school hardcore fan (Fugazi, Helmet, At The Drive-In) then this'll work for you just fine.
So, I've been hearing about this band; Civil Twilight. I have no idea who these guys are, but they're touring with Crash Kings and Anberlin. By the way. I HATE Anberlin with a passion. I can't believe my friend thought I'd like then like, two years ago. But apperently I can assume by who they're touring with that they follow that line a little bit. If you like Crash Kings or Faggotlin I'd check em' out. Wait? It's Anberlin? What'd I say?
If you're a fan of The Bravery, I have some cool news. They released a live album over Summer and you might like it. It's their performance at the Wiltern Theater. (No idea where that is) But the album should be easy to locate taking note that it is titled accordingly. (It's Live at Wiltern Theater)
Heard of Atom Smash before? They're kind of a p***y version of like... Shinedown. If you'd be into p***y Shinedown, like I know you all are, then go look up these guys. They only have one album titled, Love Is In The Missle, and it is on iTunes. So go take a peek.

Song of the Day - -

Heavy - Collective Soul
One of the not so coincidentally heavier Collective Soul songs also happens to be one of their finest. The song has an interesting balance of distortion, synth, and melody. This combination gives it a very Bon Jovi'ish feel. Except, the chorus is very straight forward much alike that of "Shine"s chorus. You know, where it basically consists of one line repeated over and over 4 times. One thing this song does sadly... Is have one of those endings that just happens in the middle of a riff. It's ending is very displeasing in my opinion. It is perhaps it's only downfall.

One of the members of Pantera, Rex Brown, has a solo project called Arms Of The Sun and they released some of their new material. You can find it on the AotS home page, facebook, or probably Pantera's home page.
Kele, the former frontman of Bloc Party will be releasing a new single out of October 25th. Don't know what it's called yet but it might be really cool. We'll see I guess, right? It's time for an album comparison! Today we'll compare The Killers infamous, Sam's Town, to Collective Soul's debut album, Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid. We'll start with Sam's Town. So, one of the things Sam's Town seems to get a lot of s**t for is being more positive than the previous Hot Fuss. This is particially true, but I personally feel it's more emotional and powerful. It is admittedly far less synthesized, which some people find bad. I don't feel for or against this trait. I think they did very well without synthesizers in their blend. The album also featured some amazing songs! From the self-titled, "Sam's Town", to other amazing tracks such as, "For Reasons Unknown", "Bling (Confession Of A King), "Uncle Johnny", "This River Is Wild", and the suprisingly magnificient "Exitlude". Let's move onto HAaTLU. This album was a strange start. It had a mass quantity of soft songs. Lot's of acoustic songs. But one of the strage things is that they are all very different and they pull the effect off. The big single off the album was "Shine", and that's a damn good song! I'm glad it got the respect it deserves. It even shows again that alternative can have a BA guitar player! Except I'm not sure if they showed up Dinosaur Jr., haha. Other amazing songs from the album were, "Goodnight Good Guy", "Wasting Time", "Love Lifted Me", "Heaven's Already Here", "Reach", "Breathe", "Burning Bridges", and "All". So lot's of good songs on there! Hmm... This is tough one. If I could only choose to own one... It would be Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid. It's got more songs and has more diverse songs in my opinion. Sam's Town is still great but... Not as great.
Hellyeah, whom I've managed to ignore for a few months. Released their album, Stampede, in July. And it sounds so much like regular Mudvayne... It was kind of disappointing actually. Oh well. I never really liked them anyway.

Song of the Day - -

Colossal - Wolfmother
A purebread rock track. Finally right? The song is truly an anthem of classic rock much alike Cream's, "Sunshine Of Your Love". It's truly a track to die for if you were a big 80s rock fan. Well, I guess all I have to say is that it's a kind of slow tempo song with heavy bass and guitar parts. It's somewhat related to Black Sabbath's doom metal style. That is until halfway through the song; At about 3:45 it bursts into speed and the song changes into an uprising of rock power! Look into this song if you like real, textbook definition, rock.

I was advised to listen to this band, Guster, today. I googled them and listen to a few songs and... Meh. They're a bit of a mix of Goo Goo Dolls and Weezer. They do a lot of acoustic songs. In fact, they're all acoustic. That's why I don't care for them. It's all very similiar and to me, boring. Someone may like them though.
If you're looknig to get your doom metal on, I have a suggestion. This underground group called Witchsorrow is a modern day doom metal band that has a big influence of Black Sabbath and Kyuss. They don't have many songs and for the ones they do, they're awful quality. Look em' up and keep track of them is my suggestion. I know I'm gonna try to.
You wanna know a killer guitar solo? So, As I Lay Dying has this song, "The Sound Of Truth". It has one tight solo! It's not a metal solo though and it's kind of odd... In a good way! It has this amazing blend of a metal song with a more rock oriented solo. It's just cool.
I have officially regenred my iTuens library and Muse is under Progressive now. I finally did it. I realized they related more to Wolfmother and Coheed & Cambria than they did Matchbox Twenty and Counting Crows. And well, it's true.
Power metal anyone!? As if we needed another Kamelot right? Well, this band Innerwish, has struck my attention a little bit. They're a bit slower than most power metal acts and have less unneccesary double-pedal so it makes it a bit different from most power metal groups. One thing I like about them is that their drummer uses some interesting, cool sounding cymbals in the songs. I like this hint of uniqueness. I like the songs, "No Turning Back" and "Last Breath" the most off of their album, No Turning Back. Which actually only came out this MAy.

EmilyRaynebow Minute - -

All I have to say is ******** listen to Gogol Bordello. Do it and be satisfied.
That is all.

Song of the Day - -

Cut Your Ribbon - Sparta
The song opens with this tight little drum beat that I personally think is tight. There aren't enough songs with cool drum intros. When it gets to the verse, it shows how aggresive Sparta can be. This is perhaps because they still had such a taste of At The Drive-In, because it was on Wiretap Scars which was Sparta's first album after AtDI's break-up. The chorus, I think anyway, is also strong and aggressive and shows that group has a strong balance of melody and pure rage.

Indie rock act, Ash, is going to release there next album tomorrow. It's a follow up to their A-Z Series singles. It's called, There Is Hope Again (A-Z Vol.2) I'm not sure what it's suppsoed to contain, but it is a collaboration and this time it's just a CD, no DVD included.
I had mentioned previously that Trivium got a song onto God of War 3. "Shattering The Skies Above", and I can now inform you that they announced, the song will not appear on the next album, it is solely released on the God of War 3: Blood & Metal Soundtrack. The slightly cool news of this is guess who else has a song on there? Killswitch Engage! "My Obsession", was also put on the soundtrack and I don't know if it'll be released anywhere else. But I would assume it would because it wasn't a primary song for the game so it wouldn't gain much attention.
For the punk side of the article, The Living End should be coming out with an album soon. They started on it in April and said it'd be done by the end of the year most likely. I guess that's sweet news.
Want some cool metal covers!? Atreyu accidentally released their Covers of The Damned EP! It was also recorded with other bands such as Chiodos, Blessthefall, and Architects. I am unknowing to what songs were covered, but after an excellent display of "Epic" a few years ago, I expect greatness.
I've found out that the first track to Bush's new album, Everything Always Now, is titled "Afterlife". Which I have to say; Makes me think of Avenged Sevenfold's song "Afterlife". Which PS, that's a pretty good song in my opinion. But on the Bush topic, I really hope this album comes out well. I miss the 90s guys... I really do.

Song of the Day - -

Simple Pages - Weezer
Oddly enough, I have to say it's in a way a powerful song. I don't get the meaning of the song, at all. But the song has a unique influence of 80s metal in it that you just don't see in Weezer usually. I don't suggest this song to people who dislike the use of mass quantities of 8th notes. It's a good song but it is very structured off of the effectiveness of 8th note power chords.

- - Fall Update

I was looking at Bush's new album and stuff and man... I miss the 90s. The power of songs like "Glycerine" just aren't out there anymore. I also came across the making of Pennyroyal Tea" by Nirvana, and man... He wrote that song in like 30 minutes. I wanna be able to write with people... I need a real band.

- - The Rest of the Things I Hate

I need a ******** band to play with. SERIOUSLY.

I got so hyped up yesterday for the release of Ursa Minor by Third Eye Blind. I still don't know exactly when it's gonna be out but I'm so excited! They got a new guitarist and I bet he has some skittles. (Skittles = Skills) I hope it refers to the earlier work, Blue and the self titled.
I don't know how many Counting Crows fans their are but they sure seem to ignore the song, "Angels Of The Silences". It's a good song, perhaps their 'hardest' song. It definetly has some classic rock and some punk roots, I'll say that. It's a really good song and one of my personal favorites by them. It's on Recovering The Satellites, that's why it's not famous. The record never got s**t for credit.
The famous pop/rock artist, Train, is elected for the AMAN (American Music Awards Nomination) for the place of best Pop/rock band and best Adult Contemporary. Maybe not pop/rock, but I give em' Adult contemporary, because hey, Blue October's just not that great.
Muse was awarded with the best riff of the 00's by Total Guitar Mgazine for the lead riff of "Plug In Baby". It totally desrves that place. But what doesn't, is that "Knights Of Cydonia" got 4th and I personally think that song is over-rated like ********. Whatever, Muse is gay now anyway. They'll take pride in getting famous for being faggots and changing. And no, I'll never let that go.
Hey, ********. Bayside. They're gonna have a new album titled, Killing Time, and it'll be out February 22nd next year. Sweet deal huh? Get it. Love it. And then get Senses Fail's new album, The Fire. Why you ask? Because they're touring together and they both deserve to get respected for maknig amazing music.

Song of the Day - -

Old City Bar - Trans Siberian Orchestra
Yeah, I know it's not quite Christmas, shut up. This song's just one incredibly powerful acoustic number that's just... One of those songs that make you shiver with this amazing feeling... I fell in love with this song a pretty decent while ago but, it's still amazing and I can't believe it wasn't one of the first songs of the day. You absolutely need to lsiten to this, particularly around Christmas though. So I don't blame you if you wait a few monthes. I will remind you guys to listen to it in December though.

Bonfire yesterday that was sweet. Giant. And hot. I was like the only person who wasn't burning my balls off.
So, today, a mysterious box of donuts appeared in my choir classroom. They were good. I and some other friends enjoyed them thoroughly. I feel bad for whoever's they were. We ate them all. Or at least took a bit out of them all, yeah. Just so they couldn't eat them. We're dicks.

- - The Rest of the Things I Hate

iTunes can't detect soft songs for it's life. It's gay as ******** the a*****e of a man.

I just wanna inform everyone; Green Haven is a ******** amazing band. They only have one album sadly, The Last Powerful Second. It's a must have guys. I need to find that album somewhere or get some money on iTunes. Or... Find the incredibly rare person who owns that album.
If you're a big fan of metal, you wanna hear some real experimental metal? This band called Periphery, is just what you're looking for. I've known of them for a few months now and they did just recently (April) come out with an album. It's their first album released actually. It's just their self-titled but it's good, they just got a new singer though and he's doing a great job. Spencer Sotelo, is their new vocalist. He's a good singer all in all, never listened to em' much before him so I can't say who's better.
Alternative superstars, Matchbox Twenty, have announced that they A. Will be having a new studio release, and B. It's most likely going to be out 2011. So yes, more good music for 2011. That's gonna be a year to remember.
I've recently got into a bit more of 'my' metal. This includes a handful of artists... But favorably, Shadows Fall is in my sights. I have to say, I really love the Threads Of Life Album. It just kills! It's a true masterpiece for the metal scene. SF really deserves more credit for their brilliance.

Song of the Day - -

Spill The Demons - Fireball Ministry
It's a stoner rock gold nugget. The song is equally powerful in heavy metal riffs and gruff melodic vocals. The combination makes for an anthem of the age of desert palm rock. Another great trait it has is a harmonic guitar solo. It comes in just in the middle where it sounds like the song's about to fade off into the end. But of course, it doesn't yet. The song is on, Their Rock Is Not Our Rock, and it's probably their best album, ao getting the whole album is not a bad idea.

Homecoming is tomorrow, going with Emily and it sounds like it'll be fun. We're planning on going a little late so we don't have to bother waiting for people to show up at first.
Tonight, we have the homecoming game and it's gonna be sweet. Our school owns so we wont leave tonight disappointed I'm sure. It'll be a great night.
Sunday, me, Em, and a few friends, are thinkin' about going to the mall. But if friends can't come, I'm dragging Emily to the library so I can get Heavier Than Heaven.

Did you love how yesterday I did dark green and today I did light green? I'm a ********' genius.

Why are songs about mechanic objects (Or simply referances to them) always slow and darting? cKy's, "Lost In A Contraption" as well as Shadows Fall's, "Welcome To The Machine". Both good songs, but this strange revelation is seeming to usually be the case. By the way, those are both awesome songs. Go listen to them both.
That band I mentioned yesterday, Green Haven, looks like they made be having a new release soon. They put out a handful of EP thing in the past year and i guess they're working on some stuff. It'll be sweet if they do come up with an album that lives up to the expectations set from their previous work.
Speaking of expected releases, I think Candlebox way come up with some new work sometime soon. They're touring relentlessly right now and when they decide to wrap that up they'll probably write. It worked for their first album, so all the performing before releasing might just work for them.
Weezer released another god damn album! Death To False Metal is a compilation of previously unreleased tracks. It's probably not too good because they aren't rejects from Pinkerton because they already re-released that with it's extras, so it's unlikely they're from then. They're probably from their newer stages, because that name does seem like they already grew their faggish attitude.
Hey, I don't care for Escape The Fate, but if you like em', they did just come out with a new song called, "Issues". If you wanna look it up it's on iTunes. Have fun with... 'That' band.
Hey! If you don't have any of the most recent Bad Religion album, they made it so you can listen to the whole album on their Myspace. The album is called, The Dissent Of Man, just so you know...

Song of the Day - -

Disease - Matchbox Twenty
Okay, this song has an interesting past; It was co-written with the assistance of Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones. The feeling of Rollnig Stones is quite apperent because it has a very 'funky' feel to it with plenty of vibrato. The song has a major focus on maintaining this sense of speed in the vocals, you'll notive lots of quick transitions and near vocal fills. It's a fun song that has this almost disco feel to it even. Yeah, The Rolling Stones plus Matchbox Twenty equals disco.

- - Fall Update

I got King Of Leon's music today. They aren't as bad as I've said, but Only By The Night was a shitty album excluding, "Crawl", I liked that song quite a bit actually.
Homecoming dance is tongiht and I got all my tux stuff set out, I'mma look snazzy tonight! Me and my little red bowtie!

- - The Rest of the Things I Hate

I totally did another color change today. I should've used teal the day I changed my hair though. That would've made a lot more sense huh?

New Fuel is confirmed! They said their new music is gonna sound more like the stuff from Sunburn and Something Like Human which is great news! Hardly any bands have been returning to their amazing roots but I'll be smiling a face of gold if they actually go back to their start and continue their rightful place of god music. They have got one completely ready song that they've been performing live, it's called, "Headache", it's even been recorded! So Expect it on the fute record. One thing that's interesting about 'Refueled' is that their new guitarist is the former Shinedown guitarist, Jasin Todd. He probably gives the band a new agey feel that will refresh them to the public.
I do have to say, Avenged Sevenfold's new album, Nightmare, was an utter disappointment. I do however like the ballad, "Fiction". It's got some interesting vocals and that's because The Rev sang a lot of it. It does however not sound like an A7X song at all. It sounds like the Rev's side project, Pinkly Smooth. But then again, The Rev did write it so of course it has his strange flavored writing to it.
Speaking of Pinkly Smooth, have I talked about them? They were The Rev's side band. They were a strange combination of acid jazz, and Fratellis type rock. With this... demented hint of cartoon humor to it. The song I suggest to peek in on is, "Mcfly". It's a good song with a specifically great ending. Go check it out guys.
Hey, Third Eye Blind fans! If you didn't already know, I have good news about Ursa Minor. It's been announced that songs from Ursa Major that didn't make the cut are going to appear on Ursa Minor. The good news about that is that you aren't going to be missing out on any of their work. They're clearing their vaults out! Let's hope these songs that didn't make the cut don't suck though.

Song of the Day - -

Blinded In Chains - Avenged Sevenfold
It's off City Of Evil so of course it shreds balls. It starts with a marching breakbeat which leads into the expected guitar solo and it's just a great intro. Once thing that draws my attention so much is one of the drum fills later in the song where the bass and snare drums are the only things used and it makes a gnarly sounding fill. It's not impressive talent wise but writing wise, it's genius. You gotta appreciate it when you can use 2 drums and make silver and gold.

- - - Everyone Else's World

- - Fall Update

School tomorrow and I have a gay US history project due. It's a speech, visual, bibliography, ect... The works. It's just annoying because we had to change topics last minute so I hope it goes well.
The whole homework pile up is just beginning to happen. Tonight, I had/have some s**t to get done. Lots due tomorrow. I still have to finish Johnny Got His Gun but I'm not positive when I need to finish that by.

- - The Rest of the Things I Hate

Thinking if I had or had not used the same song of the day. I was thinking I had used "Blinded In Chains" earleir but it turned out to be me confusing it for "Chapter Four". So derp. We're good.
I hate it when people freak out about The Rev from Avenged Sevenfold beign some 'amazing drummer'. He's good yeah, but did you think he was so godo when he was alive? It was exactly like Michael Jackson, he was one infamous ******** before he died. Him dying was the best thing to happen to his ratings since being a ******.

On January 11th, 2011, the next Cake album, Showroom Of Compassion will be released. It will have 11 tracks (Which are conviniently listed on Wikipedia if you'd like to observe them) and they're gonna be ******** awesome. It's been a while sicne Cake had new music out, well, at least a studio album. Pressure Chief was their last album and that was... 2004? damn, 7 years without new work. Faggots.
I get a lot of s**t for Liking Trivium's, The Crusade, more than Ascendancy. I'm sorry, but I just think that Trivium having screaming isn't fitting. And I believe The Crusade is far superior in it's instrumental uniqueness. Ascendancy doesn't neccesarily 'lack' this feat., it's just not as much. So, pardon me if I think Trivium just over did their attempt at Ascendancy.
Hey, are many of you acoustic fans? If so, I have a guy who you have to hear. His work is... Something else. Jake Shimabukuro, he's this ukelele god. He has other instruments in his songs of course, but his ukelele skills are so amazing, it's all you care to hear. He makes harder and softer songs so it's not like he's one sided. Go check him out. He's far better than Andy McKee.
Senses Fail's new album, The Fire, has been released! I haven't heard it but from what I heard of one song, is that they have a little less screaming going. I kinda like it when Senses Fail screams though, I always thought they had a good balance of screaming to singing. Whatever, I'll judge when I hear the music.
There's this band called Witch... I have come across them on a few occasions on Pandora and they're just awful. They're a Black Sabbathy, stoner rock thing and it's just horid. They're like a really bad cross between Alice In Chains, Kyuss, and Black Sabbath. Don't look them up, in fact, avoid them. And no matter how good that cross sounded, avoid this band!

Song of the Day - -

Merchandise - Fugazi
I've recently gotten into the whole post-hardcore thing of the 90s and it got me into Fugazi. Although, they're a hardcore/punk thing... Whatever they are, the song "Merchandise" is really good because it has this amazing punk attitude which shows in the shouts and double singer vocal harmonies. The song has some pretty cool sounding drums in my opinion, they're very flemmy and dirty sounding and I love that in my drums. Go check out this song guys.

- - - Everyone Else's World

- - Fall Update

Choir concert tonight, it's gonna suck. My instructor has the worst idea for how to set it up and... ugh. The stupidest dance ever. It's like this Indian dance... oh yeah, with Jersey Shore fist pumpin'!

- - The Rest of the Things I Hate

When people ask how long it'll take to get good at an instrument. Well, that all depends on how much you practice. It's even more stupid when they reply with, "But I don't like practicing", and all I can say is, "Then you clearly don't mind sucking."
