Peace.
Silence.
Everything faded away from Toshiki as his dark eyes focused on the book in his hands.
'This figure is going to change your life. Literally! But you need to be careful, because many of our figures aren't programmed for a normal lifestyle function. They need to learn things, just like any other human, though they learn far faster. What a human learns in a year, a figure can learn in a day or a matter of days. However, you have to make sure you don't overload your figure... because they can crash just the same as a prep-school student with a cram session before a test, if you get our meaning.
That being said, figures also need to remain in contact with their owner, or else they may start to exhibit strange behavior. Depending on the choices you made when ordering the figure, these behaviors will vary. Bugs, as we like to call them, pop up at any time, more-so however, when a figure is distressed.'
As Toshiki continued to read, his entire focus on the words in the manual, page after page flew by. Soon, the young man was almost a third of the way through the book.
Of course, his attention wasn't on his surroundings in the least.
After all, Tokutaro had said he would let him have his peace... hadn't he?
'Figures only differ from humans internally. They aren't living beings, but their feelings can be hurt. They can physically be damaged. But perhaps the most important thing for an owner to remember, is to never let someone else kiss...'
It was at this exact moment, that the book suddenly flew from Toshiki's hands.
Eyes widened in surprise at seeing Tokutaro so close, his lips parting to form a protest...
A protest that died a quick death when those warm lips pressed against his own.
For a moment, the young man had to fight back a sudden urge to panic. After all, he was naked... in a bath... and his figure was naked... just outside that bath... and kissing him... and... and...
Toshiki blushed a bright crimson all the way to the tips of his ears.
A blush that focused more intently on his cheeks when a soft moan escaped his claimed lips, his entire body growing warm at the figure's own exploring tongue.
Without realizing it, Toshiki's lips parted even more, allowing for Tokutaro's tongue to get even more friendly with him.

Tokutaro's fingers slide down holding the chin in place as his tongue fenced between the lips until they parted and gave him entry upon the velvet smooth surface that was hidden with in. The moans that slipped past the tongue encourage him to deepen the kiss and allow his fingers to stroke down the neck across the shoulders lightly massaging. He said nothing...no this kiss would not be parted and break the connection.

Even though the bath was warm, actually bordering on hot as far as the water was concerned, Toshiki felt a chill go down his spine.
He wanted to break out in goosebumps at the gentle touches of the figure who knelt beside the bath. Another soft moan passed his lips, Toshiki easily warming up to the idea of kissing the figure.
A figure he'd only known a few hours...
That thought nearly made the young man pull away... until silkily deft fingers began to kneed tensed muscles.

Taking advantage of this moment, Tokutaro worked on the small knots in the shoulders slowly kneading them out as he let the thumb occasionally rub along the collar bone. The kissing continued with a slow exploration; a wandering tongue rubbing along its partner with a slippery twist to slide under that tongue briefly touching its sensitive underside.

Unable to help himself, Toshiki's eyes slid shut as his tongue danced with Tokutaro's own. His figure was certainly a wonderful kisser... even though the young man hadn't exactly ever kissed anyone before...
Banishing that thought though, he tensed ever so slightly as Tokutaro's fingers caressed his chest. That tension was soon replaced however, when Toshiki's arms, arms that had fallen to rest on the sides of the bath, moved to that his hands interlocked behind Tokutaro's neck.
That soft silken hair beneath his fingertips only made a new wave of blushing come over the man, another soft moan escaping him.

The pleasurable notes and arms around his neck told Tokutaro that Toshiki was giving him the freedom to continue further. Arms around his neck certainly weren't ones protecting that lithe form below him. No they were ones curious for more. He brought the fingers at the shoulders under Toshiki's arm and around to the back to massage slowly down that shivering spine. Oh he'd get Toshiki used to this in time because the more he touched him, the more Tokutaro wanted the young man in more ways than one.

And shiver Toshiki did.
He couldn't help it really. As Tokutaro's hands slid down his spine, the young man let out a soft gasp, his body jumping slightly and disturbing the water. Toshiki had always been easily tickled when it came to his back...
His fingers twirled in the figure's long hair, actually pulling Tokutaro closer in the process. The kissing didn't relent, and even though Toshiki was getting rather short of breath... he didn't pull away in the slightest.

Tokutaro smiled in the kissing and gasping taking in a bit of air while the lips moved just a bit to let his tongue run along the roof of the mouth. "Hmmmm.." he vibrated in the kiss letting Toshiki know how much he enjoyed making out with him. He really wanted to drag the boy to bed now with those fingers entangled in his long hair and as he was pulled forward his hand slide naturally from the upper back to the lower back massaging while the back side of his hand lean more toward the wall of the tub.

Tokutaro didn't have to wait long.
For a moment, Toshiki pulled back from the kiss, gasping softly in an attempt to catch his breath. The young man tilted his head back, a soft 'nnnn...' escaping him as he simply enjoyed the experience.
How could he not? Tokutaro was wrecking havoc on his chest, and the back massage was to die for.
A few seconds passed, and Toshiki didn't know what to do. Then, instead of kissing Tokutaro's lips once more, he pressed his own moist lips against the figure's jawline, kissing him gently even as his arms slipped over Tokutaro's shoulders to pull him as close as the bath would allow.
After all, there WAS a tiny wall between them, thanks to the tub.

As he was pulled further into the tub, he could feel his stomach fold over the edge, he pulled Toshiki up against his chest. Ah but that kiss at his jawline was soo... pleasurable and he released a sigh of his own at the thought of that touch. The fingers on Toshiki's chest widened the pattern just a little... circling out then back... once down lower to the upper abs then back up again... His own lips waited as Toshiki explored his jaw....

Toshiki didn't know what had come over him, but suddenly all he wanted to do was get as close to Tokutaro as possible.
He wanted to touch him, to feel his soft skin, to taste his sweet lips and throw everything else away.
'It's what I've always wanted, isn't it?' he thought to himself, even as his lips trailed down the jawline and to the nape of the figure's neck, kissing the little dip near the shoulder blade with sweet abandon.
All he knew was stroking circling movement on his chest and upper abs that set fire to his being.

Tokutaro let those lips travel realizing that the boy was starting to let go. This was a good sign and the figure so badly wanted to slide into that tub or pull Toshiki onto the floor outside the tub... but still, he would hold back just a little longer and let Toshiki will himself to one or the other. Wet kisses of his own found Toshiki's neck, a slow sucking that would travel up to a tender ear for more... licking and sucking. Tokutaro knew these spots would be sensitive to a skilled mouth and in need of affectionate attention.

He didn't even realize how badly he suddenly wanted the contact with Tokutaro.
Biting his lip absently, Toshiki shook his bangs out of his eyes and looked up at the long-haired bishounen with half-lidded eyes.
"It's... a little hot..." he whispered, a clear indication that he was wanting to get out of the bath.
Carefully, the young man stood up slightly and slipped from the bath, only to collapse against the figure's chest and kiss Tokutaro passionately.

That sudden collapse caused Tokutaro to take him to the floor; moving his hand from the chest to Toshiki's side to slow the decent. His mouth, brushed against those soft lips again.
"You taste so sweet." he muttered.
~ ~ ~
Heart racing, Toshiki closed his eyes and tried to relax against the rug before wrapping his arms around the bishounen's neck once more. "Ki... kiimochi..."Toshiki whispered, biting his lip shyly.
Cheeks flushed, eyes half-lidded, lips parted, Toshiki was the perfect picture of an uke.

Tokutaro smiled in between the kisses, "It's suppose to feel good." He licked up the middle of Toshiki's chest then pressed into kiss the boy passionately. Talking wasn't good for Toshiki... because somewhere in there he always started getting nervous so shutting him up like this was a good thing. He parted the lips skillfully and his tongue swished over Toshiki's just enough as he pressed the young man gently on the floor.

Tokutaro wasn't the only one that knew that Toshiki shouldn't say anything.
The more the boy talked, the more he tended to want to avoid the situation.
Thus, with the figure's tongue tantalizing and dueling with his own, Toshiki knew he was at the man's mercy. Well, maybe not completely conscious of the fact... but somewhere in his mind he knew.
Tokutaro was leading this dance all the way.

Tokutaro very pleased with his handy work so far. His lips sucked upon Toshiki's before his tongue teased around the edges of his teeth playfully...
Tokutaro could feel that everything was coming into place.
~ ~ ~
"Don't stop..." Toshiki whispered softly, breaking the kiss before burying his face in the nape of Tokutaro's neck.
~ ~ ~
"I won't." Tokutaro said honestly before taking that chin with his fingers to kiss him deeply and passionately.

FORTY-FIVE MINUTES LATER...
~ ~ ~
"To... Tokutaro...." Toshiki whispered. "Go... gomen... I... I ticked you off earlier... with... with my..." he swallowed, breaking their kiss and taking a moment for a breath. "With what I said, I mean... at dinner..."
~ ~ ~
"It's alright, Toshiki... you were scared... but I'm not here to hurt you. I love you more than anything in this world... I want to please you every day of your life, Toshiki." Tokutaro said softly.
"I will always be good to you, Toshiki...." His lips found Toshiki's once more a kiss... a promise...
His undying love for this one person...

This time, that kiss was the sweetest thing that Toshiki had ever tasted.
"Arigatou..." he whispered, breaking that kiss for but a brief moment before pressing his lips back against those of the figure above him.
Unbeknown to Toshiki, there were tears in his eyes.
They weren't from pain or desire... but from the knowledge that someone really did love him.
Love.
Pure and simple.

Those wet eyes, he kissed one by one...sucking off the tears slowly... "I love you, Toshiki" Tokutaro said most seriously.

Love...
It was so strange to the young man.
He had lost his parents, had been on his own for so long... only Chou seemed to give a damn about him.
But now there was Tokutaro... HIS boyfriend.
Realizing that this was what the figure had truly meant all along, made things so much easier on the young short haired man.
~ ~ ~
All Tokutaro could do was cuddle Toshiki to his chest. "I won't ever leave you, my love..." he said with a slow kiss to the nape of the boy's neck.
~ ~ ~
Smiling softly, Toshiki was glad for the warmth of the figure's arms around him.
He felt safe.
Granted... they were on the floor of the bathroom... and that notion was beginning to set in now that their little makeout session had ended.
That... and the fact that it was kind of cold, even in the room's steamy humidity.
"To... Tokutaro... um..." the young man was overcome with shyness, though why he couldn't really fathom.
Blushing again, Toshiki continued. "Maybe... um... well, we can't sleep on the bathroom floor and... well I am kind of thirsty so... um..." he felt like a complete idiot all of the sudden. "Want me to make us some tea?"

Tokutaro's mind took in the words and realized he had chosen the most...uncomfortable place to make out in the entire apartment except for maybe a closet or cabinet...or possibly the stove top. The perplexed figure stared down at Toshiki trying to sort through the...possibilities. Then, he gracefully stood up and for once, let Toshiki take charge of the matter.
"Ah...yes, I would like some tea. I am a little thirsty too." he said with a fond smile. "Where should I wait for you?" He'd let the young man make the selections because a little while before the boy had been panicked...now relaxed but Tokutaro was smart enough to know that in order to keep this state of being, Toshiki would need to feel comfortable.
So he took a towel and wiped off Toshiki's chest of the water and then wrapped it over his shoulders before finding a towel to dry his face. Glancing back, he waited for Toshiki's decision.

Carefully, Toshiki stood up and grabbed a spare towel. He rubbed it along his own body and the back of his neck, trying to get every droplet of water off.
After a few moments, he had on a pair of grey boxer shorts and a light green tank top. "Um... well, I... I could bring it into the living room and we could sit on the couch and... um..." he blushed, trying not to think about that wonderful moment between them both.
"Yeah, I'll meet you in the living room." the young man spoke quickly before exiting the bathroom, cheeks beet red.
Toshiki made his way through the apartment and into the kitchen. He grabbed a couple of coffee mugs, since they didn't burn his hands, and dispensed some heated water into each. The he grabbed a small tin and took out two tea bags, placing one into his own, his having a hint of chamomile to the green tea, and another into Tokutaro's, this one with a hint of peppermint.
Then, it was back into the 'unknown' as he was starting to think of it.

Tokutaro nodded as the boy gave his answer while a light smile played upon his lips. He really did enjoy that blush and how it went from pink to crimson in only a short span of time. "I will meet you there." he answered as Toshiki walked out.
Once the young man was gone, Tokutaro realized that he needed clean clothes. But there weren't many options so he wandered into the hall and opened the linen closet to reveal several sheets of various colors. He dragged out a deep blue sheet and in a few minutes had created a toga that encompassed his body in all the right places.
Finally, he made his way towards the living room taking in the scent of the tea. "Ah...it smell wonderful, Toshiki." he called out toward the kitchen letting the boy know he where he was by his voice. Sitting down on the couch he reclined allowing his perfect form to enjoy the soft...slightly lump....Ok this couch wasn't quite comfortable. But, he sighed, it would have to do for now.
It was then he realized what the noisy box was for! It was to distract a person from the uncomfortable couch! And thus he watched the box and listened to the various reports of unhappy people in Okinawa. He wondered what an Air Force base was and why it was such a big deal. But soon a entertaining talk show caught his interest as they yammered about various stars and shows that would be coming to town. Needless to say, Tokutaro's education had begun as he absorbed the gossip.

Walking into the living room, Toshiki handed Tokutaro a mug that had a monkey painted on it... a rather childish chibi monkey. He soon sat down on the opposite end of the couch, his own mug, one that had an equally childish and chibi frog on it, between his hands.
"Have you ever watched tv before?" the young man asked absently, dark gaze focused on the 'box' for a moment. "It's really a great way to learn about the world around you... outside of a book, that is. Which reminds me," he focused on Tokutaro, trying to ignore the sheet toga. "I'll find that history book for you tomorrow. It's somewhere in a box in the closet... so I'll have to do a little digging."
Suddenly, to Toshiki, things seemed halfway normal.
He wasn't stuttering or stammering to the figure, nor was he blushing or trying to hide or avert his gaze.
There was a comfortable edge to them being in the same place suddenly.
Of course, Tokutaro wasn't trying to jump his bones at the moment either, which helped things considerably.

"Thank you." he answered as he took the cup into his hands then sipped it slowly, "Delicious. Yes, it is the first time I've watched...TV." Ah so that was the box's name. "So is this where you learned everything about the world? From the TV?"
Well that seemed easy enough. He could watch TV all day and get a fine education about the world. He focused on the box intently waiting for it to speak a few more words of substance. However, as the same woman came on and talked about Ramen he had to look up at Toshiki and say, "I've already learned about ...this ramen. Why is she talking about it again?"
"Oh, I would love to read your history book if it will tell me more about your world." he answered then looked at the cup and pondered a moment on the strange design upon it, then set down the cup on the low table before him and adjusted the toga.
"I found this sheet in your closet to make myself clothing. I doubt your's would fit me. It's nice to talk to you like this. You seem much more relaxed and that is good to see." he said as he tilted his head taking in all of Toshiki with his eyes. If this calm was the results of early, then he would have to ensure that such moments happen more often.

"Well no, you don't learn everything from the tv." Toshiki replied, thinking over the notion.
Outside the sun had set and a storm was moving in. In fact, the windows of the apartment were beginning to shake slightly due to the wind and the pelting rain.
Especially when thunder boomed.
For the moment, Toshiki was somehow ignoring it, instead focused on his figure. "Well, we'll go shopping tomorrow. I can find something that belonged to my father for you to wear in the mean time." he said with a slight smile.
Even though there was a bit of a sad hint to it.
"I... want to teach you everything I can. I mean, you already know a lot of amazing things... but there are other things that you need to know so that you won't get in trouble. As for the ramen... it's a commercial." the young man laughed softly. "The company who makes that brand, wants you to buy it. We can get some from the store tomorrow so you can try it if you want."
Toshiki felt he could finally relax around Tokutaro.
It was... nice...
Just as he released a sigh of relief, the thunder boomed hard, causing Toshiki to jump in his chair.
He hadn't exactly expected that.
Standing, he moved toward the tv to switch the channel... when everything suddenly went dark as an ear piercing boom echoed through the apartment.
Toshiki couldn't exactly help the yelp of surprise that escaped him... as he tripped on the coffee table, and crashed into the sitting Tokutaro.

"You don't?" asked Tokutaro as he continued to watch the show rather intently. Although the thunder caught his attention and his eyes immediately flicked towards the window. "It seems a beast is outside." He didn't really know what the noise and lights were related to until the TV show was interrupted by a local news broadcast.
TBS NEWS TOKYO - A strong storm will be moving through the city causing heavy storms, thunder and lightening, high winds and possibly hail. It is advised that people stay indoors for the duration of this weather event.
The news cast commentaries with images filled Tokutaro's head an provided the answer to the storm but not an answer to the tinge of sadness that Toshiki seemed to express when he spoke about the clothes and his father.
"Is there something wrong with...your father?" he asked cautiously. Knowing how easily upset Toshiki got, he didn't wish for another panic attack but his own need to care for the young man told him that this was something he should at least uncover.
"I'd like to learn everything you can teach me so I will be the best match for you. All your life." he said with a light smile. Ever since that earlier moment in the evening, something seemed to have set in concrete for Tokutaro. He would always be Toshiki's boyfriend; at least in his own mind.
"So, they repeat it many times to make sure you do not forget their ramen?" his lips pursed as he realized that somethings on TV weren't what they appeared. He had learned a lot about the ramen but now felt cheated because the commercial was meaningless. "I don't think I like commercials."
As Toshiki tripped and the teacups went flying, spilling tea everywhere. Tokutaro reacted in a flash and scooped in the falling Toshiki into his arms. He laughed a little in the darkness as the weight of the young man finally settled about him.
"Are you alright?" Tokutaro asked as he curl Toshiki close to his chest. "It's only, Thunder...." He didn't say that he just learned what it was on TV. But the news person said that staying inside was the appropriate thing so they should be safe.

Eyes closed tightly, Toshiki kept a firm grip on the figure, staying close to him as thunder once again rattled the windows. "Go... gomen nasai..." he whispered softly, obviously terrified of the ear-piercing sound.
Storms frightened him... especially storms of this magnitude.
If Tokutaro wanted an answer to why his voice had sounded sad earlier, the storm and Toshiki's fear was as much of an answer as he could give for a moment.
But eventually, the young man spoke.
"I'm... terrified of storms..." Toshiki whispered, wincing and clinging tighter to the figure when another boom exploded. "A... a hurricane... the house that I lived in when I was a boy collapsed because of a hurricane... my parents died, shielding me..."
In truth, every time that the weather was bad, Toshiki had a habit of locking himself in the bathroom. He would sit against the door, earphones on and music glaringly loud, his eyes closed as the storm raged outside. It was how the young man dealt with his fear... and the feeling that at any moment, his roof may collapse on him and kill him... just as his parents had been killed.
He felt like an idiot for being scared of a storm, but he couldn't help it... he had watched his parents die because of a storm... he had lost everything because of it... and Toshiki would do anything to try and blot out the sound... the feel...
"Gomen... I... I'm always panicking around you... aren't I?" he asked softly, continuing to hold fast to Tokutaro, face buried against the figure's warm chest.

Tokutaro stroked Toshiki's hair and kissed his forehead. "I'm here. And I won't ever leave you Toshiki. You've nothing to worry about." He became rather quiet when Toshiki relayed what happened to his parents. It was quite a sad tale and he now realized why Toshiki was very insecure. Without a family around him, he felt alone. But now, the young man wasn't alone anymore. Tokutaro wasn't going anywhere. "I'll protect you."
"Shhh...Shhh...Things will be fine. You weren't panicking just a few moments ago. So I do not think it is all the time." he whispered against Toshiki's ear. He pulled up the comforter that was on the edge of the couch and pulled Toshiki down so they were laying together on the couch. He pulled the boy up so he could see his face then leaned in to kiss his lips softly before wrapping his arms around the young man holding him tightly.
He hoped the warmed of the comforter and his body would slowly relax the boy. The panic attacks couldn't be good for his health. Although, in the back of Tokutaro's mind, he had a small question....What was a Hurricane? A bigger storm?

Two thoughts went through the young man's mind almost simultaneously.
The first, was that Tokutaro was warm... comforting... and that he was strangely happy, for once, to be caught in the man's embrace.
The second thought, was that he really was safe. Sure, Toshiki could still hear the storm, and every time thunder boomed, he winced... but he was safe.
He was also being kissed.
Sweetly.
Softly.
And Toshiki couldn't help but return the kiss, pressing his body as close to that of the figure as possible.
When the kiss ended, he opened his dark eyes and focused on Tokutaro for a long moment.
Another crash of thunder and flash of lightning, another wince and slight shiver.
But Toshiki kept his gaze on Tokutaro. "A... arigatou... I feel like an idiot..." the young man blushed.

Tokutaro continued to kiss him. That was indeed better. Toshiki was starting to loosen up just a little. But the crashing and flashing didn't assist in any way all he could do was hope that his presence would take the edge off.
"It's all right, Toshiki. You're just scared but I am here to protect you. Everything will be fine by morning." he answered as he rubbed down Toshiki's back. "Why don't you just try to take a little nap with me here. I am sure that the rain isn't going to get into the apartment.
Slowly but surely, Tokutaro tried to take Toshiki's mind off the storm although he doubted anything would take the boy's thoughts away from the loss of his parents. Wounds like that took much more time to heal. So instead, Tokutaro just focused on the now. " You're not an idiot. You're a very intelligent young man and I love you." He smooched the top of Toshiki's head and laughed. "But you certainly are cute all cuddled in like this."
He hoped tomorrow he would learn much about the world around him. It seemed Toshiki could use someone that was more adapted to the world as it was. That was something he would have to address in the morning. Fortunately, he seemed to pick up on things quickly.

"I am an idiot." Toshiki whispered, though he seemed slightly amused by the conversation. "I just don't get it, Tokutaro... you keep saying you love me... but you don't even know what things like a hurricane or a zoo are... you didn't even know what a tv was until earlier..."
The young man sighed slightly, trying to relax as he remained cuddled up against the figure.
"How do you know what love is?"
Most people, might have taken that question as an insult... but Toshiki was serious.
And he wasn't just talking about Tokutaro's own knowledge.
The young man wanted to know how ANYONE knew what love was.
What triggered it?
What were the feelings one felt?
And... maybe more importantly... how was someone supposed to act on those feelings?
"What is love?" Toshiki whispered, closing his eyes.
