The silence gave him some time to think. He liked her,and cared for her deeply. However, he hasn't had much luck with liking people, seeing as the last girl was a filthy cheater. Deciding that he'd wait a while on htis, he came back to reality to see her swimming ll around. He followed suit and went underwater.

After a few seconds, her head resurfaced and she took in some air. Well it was going to be a while before she was going to say anything. She didn't want to end their friendship if it turned out that he didn't like her, so she wasn't going to say anything unless she thought he did. Marie shaked her head before looking out at the ocean, seeing a sealion not too far from them. Looking around, she tried to figure out where Matt had gone.

Underwater, he was looking at the fish. It was quite a beautiful sight. The fish were swimming, the coral was shining, and the plants were dancing, in a way. He remembered he needed to breath, so he swam up behind Alexa and came up behind her.

Hearing the water splash behind her, she turned around, almost crashing into him. She blushed a little but didn't pull away. Her eyes met his before they lingered on his lips. It took her a second before she pulled herself out of the trance she got caught up in. "Sorry." she said as she pulled away finally.

His arms remained at his side when she got on him. His face turned scarlet and his eyes searched her face until he came onto her lips, about the same time she came onto his. He at least wanted to return her gesture, but she moved before he acted on that. "It's fine, don't need to concern yourself over it," he said when she pulled away.

Biting her lip, she swam a little bit away from him before going under the water like he had done before. She didn't know what to say, so she would rather stay silent. Opening her eyes, she looked around to see a couple of colorful ocean fish.

He stayed above water. He didn't want to invade her space, he just had to wait it out. Looking on a small rock,he saw a few turtles. He swam over to examine them.

Swimming up to the rock they had jumped off of earlier, she sat down on it before leaning against it. Closing her eyes, she stayed in the spot of sunlight, cold from the water. Marie didn't know what to think about their friendship anymore... she was simply confused and maybe it would all be solved soon enough.

After looking a the patterns on the shells of the turtles, he went over to the rock but didn't get out. The cold water made him lazy, and he did a dead man's float. He used his time to work out some things in his head.

"What's on your mind?" she asked as she glanced over at Matt who wasn't that far away. Maybe he would be able to get her to forget about what had happened for a little while. It was worth a shot and she was curious as well.

Hearing her made him get out of his float, and swam over to her. "I'm no thinking much a the moment. Are you thinking of anything? If something's bothering you, let me know. I'm all ears."

She pulled herself from the warm rock and back into the cool water in front of him. Her eyes lingered on his for a second and she smiled a little. How in world was she supposed to tell him what she was thinking? A small smirk appeared on her lips and she came a little closer. "Well..." she looked up at the sky. "It's kind of hard to explain.." she added, glancing over at him now.

He looked into her eyes when she looked at his, then swam next to her. "Well, try to explain. I'll try to explain in the best way I can." He showed a faint grin on his face.

She looked back at him once again. "Promise not to laugh?" she said, giving him a serious look, or at least attempting to give one. She didn't know if she would be able to pull off what she had planned but it all depended on his actions as well. Marie stayed close to him, the smirk never leaving her face for now.

"I promise. I can be serious when I need to be." That was his personality. He loved to laugh, make jokes, and even be a smart mouth every now and then, but he was wise and more mature than other people in his age. He gave her a proper serious look.
