(((OOC: Sorry, Gaia was being a pain and not loading.)))
~ ~ ~
While Somaharu and Ryuu talked, the white haired Elf watched the other fair being carefully. "It is rare to find an Elf so far from home." Legede spoke kindly, in the same sort of voice he had used to the dragon and sprite. "If you wish to join us, you may. Otherwise, I should warn you that a Hunter resides just past the waterfall outside of the cave. I wouldn't want you getting hurt for your appearance... we are rare individuals, after all." It was true... spotting another Elf was rare. Perhaps not as much as a Dragon meeting another Dragon... but the fair beings had secluded themselves to keep from the eyes of Humanity.

Ryuu nodded. "Thank you. I appreciate your kindness," he told Somaharu. He then turned to Legede sadly and said, "My village was attacked, I'm in search of the ones who did it or the ones who've been framed to figure out what happened exactly." A tear fell and he quickly wiped it away, giving the group a small smile.

Somaharu walked over to the Elf. "You are brave," he said placing a hand on the Elf's head lightly. "I don't believe I told you my name. Please forgive my rudeness. I am Somaharu," he said smiling a little. He let his hand fall back to his side.

"Thank you," Ryuu said, feeling better. 'So far, nothing has given me a thought that he's a cold-blooded elf killer,' he thought. "I think we should probably leave, that hunter will most likely come after us. And...I would like to have a small talk with you, Somaharu," he added, nervously.

"I agree," he said. Somaharu looked over his shoulder at Legede. "We are ready to go when you are," he said to the Elf. He looked back at Ryuu. "Certainly. What about?" he said looking at the Elf with cyan eyes.

Ryuu shifted from toe to toe nervously. "When my village was attacked, I was too young to fight and was made to run while the adults fought back. Before I fled, I saw what looked to be dragons, but one of them changed shape," he said. "I just need to make sure whether shape-shifters attacked my village or not. I couldn't ask a shape-shifter for how sly they can be, so I've been searching for a dragon to speak of this with." When he finished speaking, Ryuu took a deep breath and looked at Somaharu in the eyes, cyan meeting red.

Nodding, Legede lead the way through the caverns... in a totally different direction than that which Somaharu had gone to find his weapons. But the Elf didn't say anything regarding Ryuu's story, or the tears shed. 'He will get over it one day.' the Druid thought darkly, trying not to let his own memories resurface. Sure, it had taken the better part of the last three hundred years for he himself to put his clan's destruction behind him. But Legede knew better than most that some scars never fade... they only hide deep inside. "If I may ask, Ryuu... where was your village?" the Elf spoke softly, genuinely curious. If someone was exterminating Elves again... it didn't bode well at all for any of them... The news of a shapeshifter was new to Legede, and for a moment, the white haired Elf didn't know how to respond to that. He himself had never done anything wicked or evil... save the slaying of his first and only dragon. But he wasn't the only one who could shapeshift. "If you wish to know how sly they can be... there are different ways for shapeshifting." Blue eyes turned back to look over his shoulder at Ryuu. "For my kind, we can transform into any beast... for others, they may need to chant a spell to perform the transformation. And... of course... Dragons can take the form of humans or Elves as well... though I personally do not know the extent of their abilities."

Somaharu met Ryuu's gaze. "It is rare you will find a Dragon who would do such a thing. Dragons who attack others for no reason are hunted down by other Dragons and killed. I would not be surprised if there was one Dragon among that group, but the rest were shapeshifters," he said his gaze never wavering. "If there was a Dragon among that group it will be killed if not by me or a Hunter then by another Dragon. If it hasn't been killed already," Somaharu said as his eyes darkened slightly.

Ryuu nodded. "Thank you Somaharu, I do hope nothing like that happens ever again," he said.
Then, turning to Legede, he said," My village laid deep in the forest, close to sea. It was a humble place and we hardly got any visitors, human or otherwise. Let alone any trouble. Why, if I may ask."

Legede continued to look down the dark cavern, not glancing back at Ryuu as he spoke. "Because my village was destroyed over three hundred years ago." the Druid replied calmly. "But... I have never seen the sea. This forest was once the home of a Druidic clan of Elves. I suppose I am all that remains." Finally, piercing blue eyes glanced back at Ryuu. "I suppose... I was just curious. There was no true reason for my asking other than that."

((i need to go to bed, i'll be on tomorrow as soon as i can. ^,..^) "I'm sorry for you loss," Ryuu said. "I'm sure there are more of your clan, just like there must be more of mine. I wasn't the only young one forced to flee." He smiled reassuringly at silver haired elf.

Somaharu chuckled a little. "Dragons don't like others knowing everything they can do. It wouldn't be any fun," he said. "I was born around the time the Blooding started. My family and I were always on the run from Hunters. When we were separated I retreated underground and only came up to the surface to eat when I really had too. That's how I've lived for the past thousand years," he said. His eyes clouded and turned dark blue as he remembered seeing all of his friends and relatives killed as they fled from Hunters. He said all of this calmly. "How much further Legede?" he asked the Elf.

For just a split second... Legede's gaze hardened into ice. "Unlike you... I didn't run away." the Elf spoke calmly before focusing his attention on the labyrinth-like maze of caverns. 'I didn't want to run away... so I stood my ground... and watched everyone die.' he thought to himself before mentally pushing the notions far away. He hated thinking about the past. "Give it time, Ryuu. You will find out the truth of the attack... and perhaps then you can be free of this journey to locate those responsible." In other words... the Druid hoped that the other Elf could make peace with what had happened. In response to the Dragon's question however, Legede nodded. "Only another half-mile or so. We should be coming on the exit any time now."

((I am going to bed too. Night everyone!!))
Somaharu listened and wanted to lighten the depressing atmosphere. He nodded to Legede. "Wow that was fast. Tell us Legede, what is the Sanctuary like?" he said in an attempt to change the subject to a less depressing one.

Can you help me?...Narutski was relieved when Somaharu decided not to risk facing the hunter to speak with the other dragon, walking with them to the other exit. As he listened to the story, he felt tears coming on and wiped them away. After all, he lived in a huge haven where all the day sprites came to rest in their own hammocks, or on branches, or in trees, or just on flowers, mushrooms and moss that coated the floor of their home. To imagine the cacophony of sound from goodnights, snoring, and getting ready for bed, to imagine it all gone, was unbearable.I'm all alone...
