[Alenceon]

Arkhel smiled softly at her comment. "It's a little sad that you can't just turn your nose off and on that easily. Whatever that smell is, it stinks" Still holding Koi, Arkhel started walking down the funnel, taking care not to step on any of the little trip-ups strewn across the floor. The farther they went, the stronger the smell grew, until it was nearly unbearable. "Damn that stinks!" Arkhel muttered. "Wait a minute..." He gently set Koi down on a nearby rock and then began to rummage around in one of the many pockets on his armor. Soon, he found what he was looking for. "There should help us." He said as he pulled out a pair of cloths. "These cloths are Elf woven, so they should be good enough to filter out some of the smell." He folded one point-to point at make a triangle, and then tied it around his head so that it masked his nose and mouth. "Ah, much better." He sighed, then he carefully tied the other around Koi's head in the same manner.

Koi coughted "Yea.. stinks!" she said as he put her down. When he tied the clothe on her she open her eyes "Wow.. much better!" she said "I wonder what is that.." she said curiously and looked depper.

Arkhel nodded his agreement and then bent to pick her up. Before reaching around her, he hesitated. "Do you think you want to walk now?" He inquired.

Koi noded and stood up slowly ,the pain was still there, but she didnt want to trouble Arkhel and smiled "It feels better" she said though not looking into his eyes "Lets keep going~"

Arkhel wasn't sure that he believed her, but he didn't try to push the subject. Rather, he simply nodded and started walking. For another while the walk was uneventful, but Arkhel did stop when he noticed that there was a small trickle of water running out of a crack in the wall. "That's strange..." he muttered.

Koi stepped after him slowly as she heard the water as well. As Arkhel talked she looked at him "What is..?" she asked curiously.

"Normally there's no water here. I don't know where this water came from." Arkhel replied. He suspected that the water had something to do with the stench that permeated the atmosphere of the caverns, but didn't voice the thought. He wondered how the Dwarves were dealing with it, since the trickle appeared to continue all the way down to their caves.

Koi looked at him curiously "Is it bad..?" she asked slowly and stepped closer to where the water came from. She lighted her wings stronger and looked around.  

[Alenceon]

"Maybe." Was all Arkhel said in reply. He really didn't know if it was good, bad, or indifferent. It would be helpful to know if it was the water that stunk though. If it wasn't the water that was stinking, it would mean that some creature must have gotten into the caverns. Then again, if it was the water stinking, that probably meant that it was deadly, and therefore so was the air they were breathing. Either way, the prospects were not all that amusing. "Can you think of any animal that smells like it does in here?" He asked Koi.

Koi thought for a moment "Wild swine i think.." she said slowly and turned around over Arkhel "You think there is another animel here?" she asked curiously.  

[Alenceon]

Arkhel shrugged ant said that he didn't know, but that they should proceed with caution. They continued their march for another short distance, before Arkhel stopped to say that they were almost there.

Koi stepped after him carefully, she looked around on everything curiously since she never was that deep in a cave.  

[Alenceon]

"Wait..." Arkhel suddenly said, putting an arm out behind him to stop Koi in her tracks. "Something's not right here... We should be able to hear them by now..." Arkhel had a bad feeling that they were about to find out what kind of creature smelled like it did in the cavers, so he drew his bow before proceeding. He waved a warning to Koi, and then stepped around the final corner before the Dwarven City appeared. "Oh, Gods in heaven.." He murmured, and gagged a little bit as the image before him sunk in. The city was now a ghost town, and there were corpses of Dwarven men, women, and children lying all around. Every hair on Arkhel's body began to raise, and his wings twitched nervously and involuntarily. There was blood everywhere, small children had their guts hanging out and smeared all over the walls around them, and some of the poor creatures even appeared to be partially eaten. Some were missing heads, some were missing limbs, and every single one of them was bloody.

Koi blinked "What is it..?" she asked. She didnt listen to him and slowly stepped after him "Arkhel.. are you ok..?" she asked as seeing him shivering, she wasnt enought close to see the city.

Without responding, Arkhel turned and started to stagger back around the corner, holding a hand against the wall for support, and the other on his uneasy stomach. He had just barely made it back around the corner before he collapsed. He yanked the mask down from his mouth and them proceeded to empty the contents of his stomach onto the tunnel floor. When he finished, he tried to stand, but then, smelling the stench of the caverns, he immediately collapsed again.
