It has come to our attention that since our last patch yesterday, a few problems have occured in Bera that hindered the enjoyment of the users.
Specifically, the 2x meso/item drop event ended prematurely, along with the error on creating/deleting characters.
We have since fixed the character problems, as it is up and running right now with no problem, but we'll have to run a quick server check to restore the 2x meso/drop event for the Bera users.
The server check will take place at June 29th, at 7:00 am, GMT, and it'll take place for 15 minutes.
<7:00 am ~ 7:15 am, GMT>
<3:00 am ~ 3:15 am, EST>
- USERS IN SCANIA WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY THIS

As the summer rolls on, MapleStory has another set of events for you!
We're ready to kick off the 3rd stage of our Summer Event, and the most ambitious one to date!
Following the patch that'll take place in a couple of days, BOTH Scania and Bera users will be able to participate in a set of games conducted by the GM's at a certain time at a certain place.
The 3 games that will be available to you are :
Ola Ola
Coconut Harvest
MapleStory Physical Fitness Challenge
The explanations for each game will be available through the GM's while participating in the event.
This event will start at Thursday, July 14th at 11:30 pm, GMT,
and it'll end NEXT THURSDAY, July 21st, at 2:10 am, GMT, in which the last set of games will take place.
Here is the detailed schedule of the Summer Event - GM Games.

Please remember, you can only participate in these games once every 24 hours! This is to ensure that everyone can join in on the fun.
But, wait !!! This is not ALL!
As we have promised, along with these set of games, we will also include the Set 2 of the Summer Item Set, which will be set loose at BOTH Scania and Bera. For those of you that have been looking forward to it (and we know you are), START HUNTING!!!

Wizet Greetings, Maplers! As the summer rolls on, we've got a new event for you!! It's the Screenshot Event Extravaganza, and for one week, you'll be submitting funny screenshots to us for the chance to win some great prizes!! There are five categories for this event: 1) Best Parody - Bring out the best lines from a movie, a tv show, book, or anything. 2) Funniest Shot - Very self-explanatory. The funnier, the merrier =) 3) Best Group Shot - Gather up your friends and make a masterpiece 4) Best Solo Shot - Your guess is as good as ours. 5) Best GM Shot - Any screenshot that involves you and a GM. And here's the prize: First place for each categories: A Maple plush doll delivered to your front door. 2nd place for each categories: A rare item from the game. Rules and Regulations: All submissions must abide by the rules and regulations to be eligible for this event. 1. All submissions must be taken by YOU, with YOUR character, and emailed BY YOU using your registered email. 2. Any bogus account or invalid accounts will be disqualified and eliminated from the event. Sometimes, the monsters DO strike back.
The Monsters Union held a press conference this morning, and much to the shock of everyone in the room, have declared war against the humans on the Maple World.
"We cannot take this beating anymore," declared Jr. Balrog, the head of the Union, "this island has been ours for thousands of years, and for the humans to take over and feel like they own this place is unacceptable!"
Standing behind the podium, the head monsters of each kind were anxious to tell their side of the story, but instead just released a statement, read by Jr. Balrog.
"The time of hardship is over! It is time for the monsters to take action against the humans that took away our land!"
"We will begin raiding random towns on August the 22nd, end of story!"
While the press conference took place inside the Sleepywood Hotel, hundreds of monsters outside were holding picket signs supporting the union?s decision, while letting everyone know that the battle has only just begun.
"The other day, some guy came up to me and stole my weekly allowance," angrily declared a Curse Eye, "I was planning on a nice anniversary dinner with the Mrs. I?m pretty sure it was a thief that stole money from me!! I can?t take this anymore!! It?s WAR!!!"
Chief Stan of Henesys voiced his concern over the possible attacks.
"I am worried that they may destroy every town in sight," Chief Stan said, "it took our ancestors a number of years to build this town, and hundreds of years to build a civilization in this previously wild island. I really hope that the travelers will help us protect our towns from the attacks. I hope we can come to a resolution with the monsters soon. Has anyone seen my son?"
No town will be safe from the attacks.
The GMs are calling all citizens to do their part in protecting the towns.
The planned raid by the monsters will begin on the 22nd of August, 2005. We will be broadcasting alerts throughout the mayhem using the slide system.
