Quite simple!
Cavities and such things are caused by plaque. Plaque is bacteria that feeds off of left over food particles in your mouth and such. When you brush your teeth your scrubbing away these bacterias in order to protect your teeth.

Lightning Blast = instant incineration for food particles and bacteria in my mouth. Thus it cleans and sanitizes it like, but better than brushing ones teeth.
