The Winter Cicada and Haru wo Daiteita animes are about as hardcore as I'll go. I really enjoyed both for several reasons:
a) It may have been graphic, but it was at least somewhat tasteful.
b) I enjoyed the art style.
c) There were no invisible-pen0rs, or visible pen0rs; they were tastefully hidden with an arm, camera angle, etc.
As far as manga is concerned, A Sex Therapist is as far as I can read right now. It's pretty much PWP, but it's still kind of sweet... the art is beautiful too (I'm kind of stuck-up when it comes to art in a manga/anime).
I guess to answer the question, I like it balanced; sex scenes are nice, but there needs to be a deeper plot than
"I think I'm in love with you."
"Me too. Let's do it."

i can agree with most of you i'm so glad i haven't seen some of those infamous rape scenes eek all i want is BL i want the LOVE and i have read things that :cough: too much but apparently i haven't even touched the surface

uhmmmm i dont really read super hardcore but I would if it went along with a good story! I think the manga "Yellow" (its on mangafox too! xD) is perfect! It's only 4 books long and I really liked it!! <3

I enjoy most of the hardcore yaoi (Minus rape most of the time and hardcore shota), but then again I've only read one or two of the hardcore manga since I live at home and my parents dont even know what yaoi is. Though the most hardcore I've read was on MangaFox, called Tsuyogari. It was pretty cute though, and the sex scenes were....well, I guess I'll leave that up to anyone who wants to read it.

It's only 4 books long and I really liked it!! <3 I love Yellow! I've been trying to collect them, but I'm missing 4 and 1. Have you read Steal Moon? It's by Tateno Makoto (same author).

Has anyone here ever read any of Minami Haruka's work? I would consider some of that quite hard core. Especially the ones with explicit titles about what's going to happen within the story... "Exclusive Love Contract", which is a collection of short stories, Chapter 6...
Umishiro Kazuto wrote one called "Bondage." It's very short, and I'm guessing that the title is explicit enough. XD

There's no such thing as 'too much' when it comes to yaoi. Though the most hardcore I've read was probably 'Crimson Spell' by Ayano Yamane. The art is just gorgeous, well all Ayano Yamane's art is gorgeous, and the plot is good too. The more the merrier! ^^

  Truthfully, I like all types of yaoi's, including hardcore. Although I prefer a yaoi anime or manga to have an actually story line, hard core sex scene's are always much enjoyed on my part when they have amazing story lines and don't continually have sex throughout the whole manga/anime.  @galythia: Yes, I have read most of Minami Haruka's works, and I must say, they are most explicit... but I have a hard time enjoying it because there is always very little plot and more sex. Also, I'm a HUGE Makoto Tateno fan! I own all of Yellow, Hero Heel, KaShinFu, and I've started buying Blue Sheep Reverie, Red Angel, and Steal Moon. <3

Okane ga Nai. it is so wrong for ayase to show signs of falling in love with kanou
sensitive pornograph - its just.... wrong
basically i dislike it when the victim falls in love with the rapist OR when the only purpose of the whole story is to have two guys posed in hawt... poses.
oh! and when ukes are TOO girlie or have 6 packs, or the seme is like 2x taller/larger than the uke, when oversized penises are show, and when they are like 50 years apart (i like shota, but when its like a 12 year old with a 50 year old???? thats WRONG), etc.

I'll read almost anything.
I'm not into certain kinks, like tentacle rape isn't my thing. I wouldn't read that stuff. I haven't run into much of that in yaoi though.

I consider Sensitive Pornograph really hardcore... it's more porn than a real story, so I don't like it much. And the guys are pretty femmy. So I'd draw the line around there. Asami Tohjoh's manga are pretty explicit, too.
When artists draw things that aren't really necessary, I think it goes too far.
...since 1992. Sensitive Pornograph makes me laugh. xD there's almost no plotline and the characters are having sex pretty much every time you turn the page. even i, lover of one-shots and the most explicit yaoi, prefer stories with a bit more plot than SP. : P
