"Lan," Kane tried to reason back, "I am still some angel, but not enough to heal you. Lucca!" he called again, wishing the other angel would hurry. "Please, Lan, forgive me. I couldn't protect you and I then I couldn't help you. I'm a terrible boyfriend." Kane hung his head low as he worried over Lan. 'If I was a better person, I would be able to help.'

Lucca shivered in surprise when he suddendly heard Kane screaming his name "Here we go again...Ryzil follow me please!" The angel said as he flew to where Lan fell and kneeled next to him and placed both hands over the wounded "Heal!" He chanted as the green-blue light bathed Lan's body "Seriously...be more carefoul my magic is getting weaker!...You may still have some pain but it's not mortal" Lucca said as he felt a considerable headache "God...I really need some mana..."

"It wasn't your fault," Lan said as he struggled to sit up. "I was protecting you. Im glad that I am going through this instead of you." He smiled a little and stroked Kane's hair. "You aren't my boyfriend. You are much more than that. You are my lover for life. I swear that to you." Lan said and blushed a little as he spoke. "Now this will be hard for you to do. I hope I can count on you. Take my sai and cut my shoulder. It will heal. Can you do it." he asked as he reached out for Kane's hand.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Kane said to Lucca, "Thank you so much. I don't know what we would do without you." Then, after listening to Lan, Kane thought he might have heard wrong. Blinking in disbelief at the sai, Kane asked, "Why would I do that? Lucca just went through all the trouble of patching you up. And it seems like he's gettint tired."

"Guess I was delusional, I couldn't feel it being healed" Lan said as he smiled at Kane. "Thanks Lucca. Oh and here:" he said as he pulled a small ring out of his pocket. "I thought you would need this and you should have it. My dad was an awesome healer, and he used this ring to give him a constant supply of mana. I think you should have it" he said as he slid it onto Lucca's finger. Then he turned to Kane, brushing a hand through his hair, he kissed Kane and then kissed his forhead. "Please don't ever doubt yourself. How could you have protected me. Neko's can't do much magic, but there is one special thing I can do. Can I?" he asked sheepishly to Kane.

"Nani?" Kane wondered out loud. Giving a smile just for Lan, he said, "Alright. But I'm still going to try harder to keep you safe. What would I ever do if I lost you?"

"Thanks" Lan said and blushed. "Now for the magic" he took off his glove and place his palm over his heart and said "Love lock" Lan's hand started to glow and he pulled his hand away, a ball sized glowing light red orb was floating in his hand. Holding it between himself and Kane, he said "This is the most secret of Neko magic. This orb, if you accept it, twine our lives and fates together. It ensures that our love will last forever. W-will you t-take it?" he stuttered blushing furiously at the end.

Kane considered what this ment and how deeply it would connect them. "Lan," he said, "there is nothing in the world that i want more." He accepted the ball. Looking at it with awe, he asked, "Do I put it in my heart?"

Lan's heart lept when Kane accepted the magic. "This is all we have to do" he said as he took the ball back and held it between them again. Letting go, it floated between them. "Thank you so much." he said before he pushed himself against Kane and the ball was pressed into both their chests. Lan closed his eyes and kissed Kane as the magic worked.

Recovering from the shock of the sbrupt embrace, Kane said, "I should be thaning you. I had always thought it was impossible for a fallen angel to love, but you've definately shown me otherwise." There was always something about Lan that made Kane happy. Even if they weren't talking or doing anything, just having Lan with him made Kane happy. Realizing that they had just fallen off a building, Kane said, "Well, I guess we should get back on the trail soon."

"Yeah. We should go now" Lan said as they began to walk. He kissed Kane again and he wrapped his arms around Kane's arm as they walked. "You've made me the happiest kitty in the world"

PettingLan on the head as they walked, Kane said, "I'm glad I could return the favor." As they wnet along, the scenery changed slightly. The streets were dirtier and there seemed to be many more people around, most of them looking rather shady. Kane did not seemed to be phased by these changes, but he did wonder if the others felt uncomfortable at all.

Lan's ears flattend and he drew closer to Kane. "Wh-what is this place Kane? I-Im scared" he said as he shuddered a little. "Is that the place up ahead" he said pointing.

As Lan shuddered, Kane wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Don't be afraid Lan," he comforted. "I know how to survive in these places. I'll be able to keep you safe." Looking to where Lan was pointing, Kane shook his head. "No, that was the place just for normal people. It was mostly...uh...like a drivethrough?" Kane knew that was a horrible analogy, but he could not think of anything else. "The place we're looking for is around the corner. It's a little more secluded. As the rounded the corner, they could see a smaller building with a single door and no windows. When they approached Kane opened the door and let the others in. Inside there were many people. Men and women alike were everywhere in every role. There seemed to be no gender roles here. "Well, this is the place. It's a little more private, but it's also more expensive. It's a very free place, though."
