My mom KNOWS I read the stuff.
She's BOUGHT it for me.

My Dad reads it, too. He's not so much into the man-love aspect of it,
But he likes funny things like Gravitation.

I draw AND write stuff in class.
My teachers know. Like, duh.
One of my teachers WATCHES me on DEVIANTART.

So, yeah, I'm KINDA open about it.
Just a bit.

Right now I'm risking it. We have a computer and a PC in the same room. My younger sister and niece are on the comp, while I'm on the PC looking at some Yaoi manga. It's kinda hard cause my niece keeps looking back to see what I'm doing from time to time. stare

Good thing I made the pic small so she won't see....or at least I hope she doesn't.

Well, I havnt really been caught, my mum knows I read OT manga but I dont think she realizes its yaoi, but gravitation has nothing really bad in it. But once we found out that my (overproctective) dad had been on me and my sister's devient ART account and paniced because we had favourited so much yaoi, and my sister was in the process of drawing yaoi to upload, and also my parents can get onto my computer which has a whole folder named yaoi, i guess Im a bit silly

But once we found out that my (overproctective) dad had been on me and my sister's devient ART account and paniced because we had favourited so much yaoi, and my sister was in the process of drawing yaoi to upload, and also my parents can get onto my computer which has a whole folder named yaoi, i guess Im a bit silly

Yeah I've got a folder completely dedicated to it too. razz

For safety's sake I simply titled the folder 'Y' and set everything to private so that I'm the only one who can view it. Might have to hide it though for extra precaution. Both my parents don't really have a clue about computers, well a majority of my family doesn't really (they're all kind of old. ^^; ) Which is both a good and bad thing for me.

I just got caught, I had my headphones with loud music, and I was on the FF image post thread, and my mum was behind me I didnt notice redface she said somthing about thinking I was looking at porn, omg so embarrassing!

I have a folder for yaoi! but inside the yaoi folder it has multiple folders, I had to organize it because there was to much xD

Luckily for me I have my own laptop that is password protected and no one can touch it with out my permission... and on the family computer, the iMac my section of the computer is password protected. I'm generally as careful as I can be. However my dad is generally pretty good about giving me my privacy and things like that. It's my mom I have to watch out for. Lucky for me though she lives quite a ways away and I visit her maybe once a month... and I rarely read or buy yaoi around her. Of course it helps that she thinks anime is silly and doesn't really want anything to do with it... rolleyes

Well, I kinda have been caught. Eep >_< My mom usually doesn't look at my manga/books, let alone touch them. She understands that I'm into the whole anime/manga scene but besides that, she leaves the subject alone. Knowing my mom normally didn't look at my manga, I left out a yaoi one day by my school stuff. She got curious and picked up the book. Low and behold she was quite surprised! I was confronted and told not to bring it in the house again. Heh heh crying Then, I got caught reading yaoi porn on the internet and I got grounded stare Really sucked. So I made sure to up my profile security, she can no longer look through my yaoi folder on my computer ^_^ But...not paying attention to my mom, I brought another yaoi manga into my house, I wanted to read it so I was reading it (duh) And she caught me again (I was stupid and left it out again) She just gently said not to bring it to the house anymore.

Lesson learned? Never leave yaoi out on the couch or by my school things and/or backpack. Lock all my computer files from her. AND as long as I store my yaoi on my bookshelf, she never looks and I get away with it every time, lol xd

Yup, definitely one of the reasons I don't have my headphones/music on full blast when I'm looking at some yaoi when family is around. Yaoi I have yet to be caught with thank god.

Yup, passwords are practically your shield. Hilariously my dad bought us the rest of the set for Gravitation for us without knowing that it was about boy love. And he's a slight homophobe. xd

I've been caught looking at yaoi before and my brother caught me reading some my dad almost caught me reading and my face was red so it was really funny.

My dad told me to get rid of all my yaoi pictures (over half of my memory bank) I told him I would... I didn't no way was I going to let all those pictures go to waste took me over 2 years to get half the stuff I had and now I have a lot more now then I did then so if he see's it and says get rid I'll say hell no

My brother teased me about reading it saying he'd tattle on me

I was caught by my mom when I was reading a pretty vivid fanfic. She was looking over my shoulder and reading what I was reading, I unfortunately didn’t notice for a while due to the TV behind me being rather loud. When I finally did notice, I closed the window (and I was basically as red a a tomatto. ) It was a rather awkward talk of explainging myself to her. Needless to she ended the conversation with a “why are you embarassed?” So I got off rather easy. I was caught watching yaoi once (in a way) They came in at a seemingly innocent part, they assumed I was just watching sailor moon (since that is the only anime my parents no of)
