Sir Kyle Aziz
Oh man I love Lightnings. They're easily the coolest Imperial fighter. If I could I would own an entire wing of them and play them in apoc games.

hell yes! makes for cool battles versus Titans, Hoth or Transformers style...

If you are going by the aircraft pictured on the front of the IAMC2 book, that would be a Thunderbolt, the erm, bigger brother of the Lightning. wink

Lightnings and Thunderbolts are not snow speeders chap. A Marauder Destroyer or the Tau Tiger Shark AX-1-0 are better suited for such a task at hand.

Warhammer: The Empire
The Empire is the largest and most powerful realm in the Old World. Founded by the warrior-god Sigmar, it is built up of city-states and provinces that are now bound together under the rule of the Emperor Karl Franz. Only through the actions of its tireless citizens, valiant heroes and mighty war machines, has it repelled the numerous invasions brought against it. Though the pride of the nation is undoubtedly the cosmopolitan cities where the pinnacle of human achievements can be found, the discipline and martial skill of its professional armies are also rightfully famous throughout the Old World.

As an Empire collector, you have access to a huge variety of troop types, from colourful regiments of State Troops and Knightly Orders, to arcane War Machines and formidable Battle Wizards. March your Empire warriors heroically into the teeth of the enemy; blast your foes from afar with powerful artillery and volleys of handgun fire; obliterate them with an array of magical weapons and spells. The Empire player has endless choices before them...

This 96-page full-colour hardback Warhammer Army Book contains all the rules you need to field your Empire army, as well as detailed background information, bestiary, accompanying artwork and miniatures showcase.

Karl Franz on Deathclaw
Emperor Karl Franz, Prince of Altdorf and Elector Count of Reikland, is renowned as the greatest statesman in the Old World. A valiant warrior and military genius who often takes personal command of his soldiers, he wields Ghal Maraz, the fabled hammer of Sigmar, smiting his enemies with every blow. Karl Franz stands at the forefront of the battles against those that would see his beloved realm torn asunder. He often rides to battle on the back of Deathclaw, the mightiest Imperial Griffon that ever lived.

Every army needs a general and what better way for your general to go into a battle than on the back of a mighty Griffon. With this kit you can build a General of the Empire, a Wizard Lord, or even Karl Franz - the Emperor himself. You have access to the most powerful characters in the Empire on one of the most powerful mounts in the Warhammer world.

This multi-part plastic kit contains 74 components with which to build either Karl Franz on Deathclaw, or a General of the Empire or Wizard Lord on a Griffon. This kit comes with a 50x100mm monster base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.

Empire Celestial Hurricanum / Luminark of Hysh
Only in a time of desperate need will the Patriarch of the Celestial Order action the Celestial Hurricanum to be used on the field of battle. Originally built to help Celestial Wizards in their studies of the heavens to make for more accurate predictions of the future, it has since been turned into a large and devastating weapon of war. At the heart of each Hurricanum lies one of Teclis' Orbs of Sorcery, a revered artifact that can enable comets to come crashing down from the heavens. Celestial Hurricanums harness the Wind of Azyr and, in battle, the sorcerous energies surrounding it grow into a whirling hurricane.

The Luminark of Hysh is a magical war machine created by the Wizards of the College of Light. It consists of an array of enchanted mirrors and aether-lenses mounted atop a great wheeled platform. Crewed by a pair of Acolytes, who tend to the machine's array of precision instruments while intoning spells to channel the Wind of Hysh, the Luminark of Hysh unleashes a blinding white light through its arcane optics. This manifests in a destructive beam of soulfire that vaporises anything in its path.

Arcane Battle Altars are fantastically bizarre war machines, the distilled essence of the Winds of Magic. You'll find the effects of their bound spells phenomenally destructive, giving you some seriously dangerous elemental firepower. Not only that, but these arcane devices are great for boosting the potential of any of your troops.

This multi-part plastic kit contains 108 components with which to build one Empire Celestial Hurricanum / Luminark of Hysh. This kit comes with one 50x100mm monster base and one 20mm square base should you wish to field the Wizard on foot. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.

Empire Demigryph Knights
Demigryphs possess razor-sharp talons and a powerful beak that can cut through armour and limbs with dreadful ease. When a Demigryph attacks, it strikes in a blur of motion, pouncing upon the enemy before they even have time to raise their weapons. Amongst some Knightly Orders, an aspiring knight's final trial is to capture a Demigryph and break it to his will. Those few small Orders whose entire brotherhoods can take to war upon these monstrous beasts have a roll of victory honours surpassed only by the most ancient of Knightly Orders.

Your noble knights of the Empire have good reason to feel assured when they ride into battle upon a Demigryph. Stronger and tougher than a warhorse, you'll want to get your Demigryph up close to your foes, where it will use beak and claw to rip apart their armour like a can opener. If you're lucky, the Knight might even get to attack something too...

This multi-part plastic kit contains 83 components with which to build three Empire Demigryph Knights. This kit comes with three 50x75mm monster bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.

Volkmar the Grim on The War Altar of Sigmar
Volkmar the Grim, Grand Theogonist of the Cult of Sigmar, is the most powerful religious leader in the whole Empire, one of Karl Franz's staunchest allies, and a wise counsellor. Utterly devoted to the destruction of Chaos in all its forms, he knows that Chaos cannot be defeated with strength of arms alone and is convinced the answer lies buried in the archives of the Empire's vaults of ancient scrolls and holy scriptures. However, when Volkmar the Grim heads into battle, he typically rides atop the resplendent War Alter of Sigmar, inspiring the soldiers around him to great acts of heroism.

Enlisting Volkmar the Grim to your army, you'll be able to use the divine inspiration of Sigmar to trounce your foes. Volkmar can enable your units to fight even harder and become more resilient to enemy attacks. His magical items give him greater strength and regenerative powers, making him even more devoted to the task of annihilating your foes.

This multi-part plastic kit contains 74 components with which to build Volkmar the Grim on the War Altar of Sigmar. It can also be assembled as an Arch Lector on the War Altar of Sigmar. This kit comes with one 50x100mm monster base and one 20mm square base should you wish to field the Arch Lector on foot. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.

Captain of the Empire
The armies of the Empire are led into battle by great commanders. Regardless of their station, the vast majority will be tried and tested veterans of many years who have a fine understanding of the craft of soldiering, having spent most of their lives fighting in defence of the Empire. Some are wealthy nobles equipped with the best equipment that money can buy. Others are ruthless taskmasters who have fought their way to a rank of privilege. Whatever their background, an experienced Captain is always appreciated to keep the men in line.

Your Empire regiments will need an experienced commander to lead them into battle. Who better to stand unwavering in the face of your enemy than a Captain of the Empire? Not only are they skilled warriors in combat, but it is your Empire Captain who will inspire your units to hold their lines when the battle gets tough. You may often find that you can field several captains to lead your regiments into battle - the one with the most magnificent moustache is normally in charge.

This pack contains one Captain of the Empire - a finely detailed kit that comes in seven components including two different heads and a fully detailed 20mm square base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.

Empire Master Engineer
Master Engineers are eccentric individuals who are obsessed with designing new machines and technological marvels. These days, though much of an Engineer's time is spent tinkering with half-finished inventions, each recognises that the ultimate purpose of their labours is developing new ideas to combat the multifarious threats to the Empire. From the famous Steam Tanks to downright bizarre devices such as von-Hugon's terror bell, Engineers devise all manner of weird and utterly lethal inventions. Sometimes these contraptions will even work as planned.

If you march into battle alongside a war machine, then you will appreciate the steady hand and expertise of a Master Engineer to help improve your shooting abilities. Though your Engineer may find it difficult to resist the allure of a truly big gun, he also has access to his own variety of smaller (but just as experimental) weaponry, with which to snipe at your opponent's forces throughout the melee, annoying them no end.

This pack contains one Empire Master Engineer. This is a finely detailed plastic kit that comes in nine components including a choice of arms and a fully detailed 20mm square base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Paints.

Witch Hunter
Judge, jury and executioner combined, a Witch Hunter will use any means necessary to burn out heresy from the heart of the Empire. They are sinister men, members of a secret order who lead solitary existences, and they seek to punish those who dare employ fell sorcery or consort with the agents of the Dark Gods. When battle is raging and the sorceries of vile wizards burn the skies above, a Witch Hunter is often all that stands between an Empire soldier and a most unnatural death.

Should your enemies deploy something so evil that even your heroes quiver with fear, then you need to call upon the Witch Hunter. You will find that a Witch Hunter is especially stubborn when you identify a heretic in your enemy's ranks: he'll target that individual relentlessly with a variety of deadly methods, becoming an utter bane to your opponents.

This pack contains one Empire Witch Hunter - a finely detailed resin cast kit that comes in three components and is supplied with a 20mm square base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Super Glue and Citadel Paints.

Markus Wulfhart
Markus Wulfhart, the Huntsmarshal of the Empire, is a legendary scout. After slaying the Drakwald Cyclops, he was gifted with a magical bow from the Imperial vaults and was then tasked by Karl Franz with recruiting a band of like-minded elite scouts. Under Markus' single-minded leadership, Wulfhart's Hunters have become the most accomplished group of monster slayers in the Empire. The aim of Wulfhart and his chosen men has never wavered as they prepare to let loose the arrows that will rid the Old World of one more monstrosity.

When your enemy unleashes a huge and hideous monster on the battlefield, Markus Wulfhart is quite simply the best man to deal with it. If his ability to hit monsters hard does not have the desired effect, then his magical Amber Bow, which shoots right at a monster's heart, almost certainly will. What's more, if you have a unit of Huntsmen then they can join Wulfhart to become a highly skilled monster-killing team.

This pack contains one Markus Wolfhart - a finely detailed resin cast kit that comes in two components and is supplied with a 20mm square base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Super Glue and Citadel Paints.

Empire Amber Battle Wizard
Wizards are mysterious figures who wield arcane magical powers. Trained at the Colleges of Magic, they are privy to secrets far beyond the comprehension of ordinary folk. Each Wizard can bend one of the eight Winds of Magic to his will and each of the Lores of Magic has the power to smite the enemies of the Empire. Able to hurl bolts of fire and lightning at their foes, confound them with illusions or snuff out their life-force like a man blowing out a candle, it is a rare army that marches to war without at least one Battle Wizard among its ranks.

Your Empire army will have access to all sorts of firepower, including steam and black-powder - but just as important is the elemental power of magic. They may look like dishevelled beggars from a backwater village, but no one in their right mind would ever mess with an Amber Battle Wizard. Their spells come from the Lore of the Beasts and normally revolve around spine-tingling invocations that boost the power of nearby units. Less subtle is their most potent spell, the Transformation of Kadon, which can transform your bedraggled Wizard into a mighty dragon. See, we told you no one would want to mess with them.

This pack contains one Empire Amber Battle Wizard - a finely detailed resin cast kit that comes in seven components and is supplied with a 20mm square base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Super Glue and Citadel Paints.

Empire Warrior Priest
Clad in ceremonial vestments and armour adorned with religious icons, Warrior Priests smite creatures of darkness with righteous fury. The Cult of Sigmar demands that its followers fight all forms of evil with martial feats as well as with faith, so many of its priests accompany the Empire's armies as they march to war. A Warrior Priest can summon their faith to lend steel to their blows in combat, destroy creatures of darkness or shield themselves from harm. Woe betides the foe facing an army filled with such divine power.

If evil is overwhelming you and your foes are suddenly confident of victory, then your Warrior Priest will have a nasty surprise in store for them. Drawing upon his loyal faith in Sigmar, he will help increase his unit's resilience against enemy onslaught. What's more, his prayers will inspire his unit's ability to hurt your enemy. And if that doesn't work, he's also got a massive hammer to hit them with.

This pack contains one Empire Warrior Priest - a finely detailed resin cast kit that comes in three components and is supplied with a 20mm square base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly - we recommend using Citadel Super Glue and Citadel Paints.

model wise, witch hunter is definitely the best... as for the tabletop performance, I expect "omg Empire is sooo OP" cry on the net at any moment...
whetehr it will be justified depends on one crucial parameter: points cost. If demigryphon knights are much better and not much costlier than ordinary knights, you will get the indication. Oh, and do I see a comet incoming? razz

This army book is written by Robin Cruddance, he's not a popular choice, nor are his previous projects all that successful.. Just look at the Guard codex.

That aside, I've put a pre-order on the Witch Hunter and maybe, just maybe I'll also pick up the army book, because why not eh?

edit.

Also pre-ordered some of the new paints: Stirland Mud (the "basing" paint) and Ceramite white, the best white paint evar according to the forums. One coat straight over black, no streaks. eek

Actually, I was not aiming at that. Rather, the way he writes army books is that most choices are no-brainers, while a good army book would have each unit in it competing for whatever slot it is in with the entries. Just look at the elites choices of the IG codex.. Same with the Nids really. Entries should compete, not be a few good affordable choices padded out with expensive units that are just that: too bloody expensive.

In regards to the Empire leafblower, it has always been there: Nuln themed armies. wink Just go crazy on the hand gunners, engineers and artillery, presto! A ranged army that can put the hurt on an awful lot.

The Griffon model is simply gorgeous! I might have to get one just to set aside as a long term painting project. The rest of the releases are rather so-so. The chariots are a bit too busy on the detail, though the Demigryph Knights do look fantastic, though I'd love to know how these will be written into the background all of the sudden.

The Finecast releases are nicely done as ever though! The Witch Hunter certainly has a classic Hammer feel to it and the Amber wizard is the nicest Empire wizard to date in my humblest of opinions. The Sigmarite Priest and Huntmarshal are so-so, perhaps a bit too busy with the details, but lovely models nonetheless.

Now if only they didn't give the Empire captain on the cover of the army book such a red nose.. /Cannot Unsee gonk

Seems like we're getting a new RPG every year now, not that I'm complaining. This time round, the Imperial Guard is getting its own slice of the action in what was supposed to be a Dark Heresy expansion at first. Little is known outside of the following announcement:

“The men and women of the Imperial Guard sacrifice more and gain less than perhaps any other arm of the Imperial Armed Forces.”
–Commissar Ibram Gaunt

Fantasy Flight Games is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Only War! In this all-new standalone Warhammer 40,000 roleplaying game, players take on the roles of soldiers in the Imperial Guard, the galaxy-spanning armies of the God-Emperor. Fully compatible with FFG’s other Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay titles, this comprehensive game system explores a previously unseen side of life in the Imperium of Man.

In Only War, each player takes the role of a Guardsman, a member of the Imperial Guard and one of the countless billions of hardened conscripts constantly fighting on myriad fronts at the whim of the Adeptus Terra. In control of this martial alter ego, players go forth at the behest of their officers to fight the eternal and implacable foes of the Imperium – the foul xenos, the mutant, the heretic, and the dark forces of the Ruinous Powers.

Bound by Honour
As Guardsmen, you will be ordered to engage the enemy with a myriad of tactics. Your squad might be responsible for guiding an important dignitary through a perilous warzone, or instructed to infiltrate a besieged fort to deliver important intelligence. With missions as varied as the galaxy’s innumerable warfronts, you and your squadmates must often rely on nothing but your own grim determination and your faith in each other.

Take the role of a Guardsman with one of twelve distinct Specialties, offering unique skills to your squad to complement those of your comrades. Will you bring the light of the God-Emperor to the battlefield as a Ministorum Priest, or will you wield the Imperium’s most cutting-edge technology as a fearsome Storm Trooper? Perhaps you’ll tend to the machine spirits of the Guard’s many war machines as a Tech-Priest Enginseer, or lead the charge as your squad’s Sergeant. Whatever your function, you’ll be a vital part of the Imperium’s vast war machine.

Your Service Begins Soon
Throughout the course of their service, Guardsmen may fight on a thousand nameless worlds, often outnumbered and outgunned by their enemies and fighting in some of the worst conditions that history has ever known. And yet, despite immense opposition (or perhaps because of it), these fearless soldiers are bound to each other by a code of brotherhood and honour. They are the thin line that protects the Imperium from complete and utter destruction. They are the Imperial Guard.

Learn more on our Only War description page, and Check back in the coming weeks. Then, look for it on store shelves in the third quarter of 2012!

Forge World has the following eye candy for us to pre-order:

STORM EAGLE - £80.00

Quote:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The legendary mobility of the Adeptus Astartes has won planet-spanning conflicts with a single strike; providing the precise application of deadly force at the point where it proved most decisive. A Chapter’s fleet of attack craft is the keystone that makes this possible, and it is the iconic Thunderhawks and Drop Pods that are at the forefront. Craft such as the Storm Eagle Assault Gunship follow close behind to lend their weapons to the devastating assault.

A formidable gunship, the Storm Eagle mounts fearsome firepower for a vehicle of its size and is capable of transporting twenty Space Marines directly into the thick of an assault. The exact provenance of the Storm Eagle is unknown, but it bears clear similarities to the Stormravens employed by the Blood Angels and Grey Knights. Certain sources place the principal manufacture of the Storm Eagle upon Tigrus and Anvilus IX, both primary-grade Forge Worlds that suffered catastrophic damage during the Horus Heresy. In recent decades the number of Storm Eagles in active service has begun to increase, especially amongst those Chapters known to have favourable relations with the Adeptus Mechanicus. This has lead some observers to believe that production has been restored at an as yet unknown location.

Model designed by Stuart Williamson, the Storm Eagle is a complete resin and plastic kit which is packed with incredible design work, including a fully detailed interior. It is available to pre-order now for despatch from 27th April. You can also download experimental rules for this fantastic model from the Forge World website. View our video preview of the Storm Eagle on our youtube channel.

CHAOS DECIMATOR DAEMON ENGINE - £35.00

Quote:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The Decimator is a brutal and hellish creation; the essence of a creature of the Warp bound and fettered within the armoured bulk of a bipedal war machine. Great slab-shoulders of tainted and defiled ceramite and adamantium, and a low-set ‘head’ give the Decimator a characteristic hunched posture which exudes brooding and vicious menace.

Inquisitorial savants do not know for sure what malefic party is responsible for this sinful innovation as the Decimator is capable of fielding a wide range of armament: rapid-firing Butcher Cannons, multi-barrelled Stormlasers, and great raking Siege Claws to name but a few. Towering over even the mighty Contemptor Pattern Dreadnoughts of the Adeptus Astartes, the Decimator is believed to be an attempt to bolster the ranks of such ancient devices that still serve the Traitor Legions. If this is the truth, then it is feared that many warriors of the Imperium will fall before these deadly war machines.

The Decimator Daemon Engine, model designed by Daren Parrwood and Edgar Skomorowski, is an incredibly detailed full resin kit that stands roughly 4" (102mm) tall. Weapons for this fell war machine are sold separately. This kit is available to pre-order now for despatch from Monday 2nd April, and you can also download experimental rules for the Decimator from the Forge World website.

I got an email that said "Do you like Baneblades little girl?" whee

Only problem, where are we going to find a PC pool big enough to properly man such a beast of war?! gonk

Yes, vehicles everywhere! Seeing as the games more or less use the same mechanics with special feats on top it shouldn't be too hard to borrow a few ideas from the Rogue Trader books to erm, supplement the regimental motor pool. ninja

“Men, we are the first, last and often only line of defence the Imperium has against what is out there. You and that fine piece of Imperial weaponry you hold in your hands is all that is keeping humanity alive. Most of you will probably not live to see your second year in the Guard and most of you will probably never see your homeworlds again, but I can guarantee you that when you do fall, with a prayer to the most high and mighty God-Emperor on your lips, you will have earned the right to call yourself a man!”

Only War is a complete, standalone Warhammer 40,000 roleplaying game experience in which players take on the roles of soldiers in the Imperial Guard, the galaxy-spanning armies of the God-Emperor. Fully compatible with FFG’s other Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay titles, this comprehensive game system explores a previously unseen side of life in the Imperium of Man.

In the grim darkness of the far future...
On a million, million worlds across thousands of light years of space, humanity fights endlessly for his survival against aliens, heretics, and daemons. From the blood-drenched mud of frontier worlds to the cold depths of space, the innumerable armies of the Imperium of Man are at constant war with the galaxy, fighting threats from without, from within, and from beyond.

Some soldiers are forced unwillingly into combat by an uncaring bureaucracy, while for others, the defence of the Imperium is a matter of personal duty. Whether by choice or chance, these men and women are inducted into the God-Emperor’s armies, trained to fight and sent off to far flung stars and systems to hold the line against the coming night. Whatever their origins, whatever their reasons or training, they are the thin line that protects the Imperium from complete and utter destruction. Despite overwhelming opposition, or perhaps because of it, they are bound to each other by a code of brotherhood and honour. They are the Imperial Guard.

Forged in battle. Bound by brotherhood.

Your squad might be ordered to infiltrate an enemy base to acquire vital logistical plans, or to quickly set up an ambush against an incoming xenos convoy. With missions as varied as the galaxy’s innumerable warfronts, you and your squadmates must often rely on nothing but your own grim determination and your faith in each other.

Take the role of a Guardsman with one of twelve distinct Specialties, bringing unique skills to your squad to complement those of your comrades. Will you support your team as its Medic, rushing headfirst into fire to perform life-saving feats, or will you draw on the energies of the Warp as a fearsome Sanctioned Psyker? Perhaps you’ll protect your squad with suppressing fire as a brawny Heavy Gunner, or become the team’s Commissar and “motivate” them to greatness at the barrel of a bolter. Whatever your function, you’ll be an important part of the Imperium’s efforts to protect humanity.

Bloodthirsty xenos and the foul spawn of Chaos are hardly the only threats to a soldier’s life, however. Throughout your adventures, you and your fellow Guardsmen will also contend with paralyzing bureaucratic apathy, a leadership that often views you as expendable, and the fickle political maneuvering of those far beyond your humble station. In spite of this, your squad must make the best of the situations you encounter, embodying the ideals of the Imperial Guard while punishing the enemies of the God-Emperor. A Guardsman must take the glorious fight to the enemies, and spread the Light of His Word to the darkest corners of the galaxy.

In the face of overwhelming opposition, Guardsmen fight against mankind’s many enemies for the very survival of their species. It is the very immensity of this challenge, however, that strengthens a Guardsman’s sense of brotherhood and duty toward his squadmates. Though you are just a few among a faceless multitude of your brethren, chance or fate has singled you out for some special purpose. Prepare to join the greatest fighting force the galaxy has ever seen!

What is Roleplaying?

In a roleplaying game (RPG), you create an alter ego, a fictional character that is your avatar within the game world. Perhaps you will create a stoic soldier, a skilled medic, or an inspiring leader. Next, you and your friends direct your characters through a series of adventures. Imagine a crime drama, adventure film, or war movie—except that instead of passively watching the story unfold, you control one of the characters, making his decisions, selecting his actions, and even speaking for him. The decisions of you and your fellow players directly affect the events of the story.

How can you affect these events? How do you decide what happens? That is the role of the game itself. Roleplaying games such as Only War provide a framework of rules that describe how to design your character and operate him within the game. Rules can cover situations like shootouts, chase scenes, or investigating the records from a long-abandoned base. Often, the rules require you to roll dice when performing an action, with some results indicating success and others indicating failure. While the rules provide structure and guidelines in the game, dice add an element of chance. After all, success would not seem so sweet if there were no risk of failure! Jumping from one cliff face to another becomes much more exciting when the slightest misstep (or bad dice roll!) may result in your character falling into the abyss below.

At first, RPGs like Only War may appear to have a lot of rules. However, you will soon see that the rules are actually quite simple, easy to remember, and often very intuitive. To adjudicate these rules, each game has a Game Master (or GM). The GM is you, or one of your friends, chosen by the consensus of your group. He does not control a lone character during the game. Instead, the GM runs the game, presenting the story and the myriad situations that come with it. He controls the people your character meets in the game, controls the encounters and strange occurrences that shape your decisions as to your actions, and is basically both the game’s narrator and referee.

All of the other players control characters within the world around which the story revolves. These characters are known as the Player Characters (PCs). During the game, the players describe the intentions and actions of their characters to the GM, who then decides (based on the rules) whether those actions succeed or fail, and how the character’s words and deeds affect the game’s story.

Don't know about you lot, but I'm getting a bit too excited about this all. Move on over Deathwatch, the real heroes of the Imperium are on their way! I'll be the grizzled squad sergeant. pirate

Winnie, when you first read that announcement, did you make a mess of yourself? I know someone else who did. sweatdrop
