Laughing a little, Kane hugged lan and said, "Of course not! You're my big fluffy tiger. No little kitten could give me what I need like you can." With that he kissed his on the forehead and snuggled near Lan's fuzzy ears.

Lan purred again and tried to feel along Kane's arms but he was still wearing the hoodie. "Awww. But I wanted to be your kitty" he meowed in a whiny voice. Leaning in, he kissed Kane and said "Promise me once this is over you'll put on your.....interesting clothes" he said giving puppy dog eyes(lol).

With a giggle, Kane said, "Yes, of course. I prefer them anyway. Let's just hope the end is soon. I'm getting tired of this and a little weary." He looked out across the city from their perch, noticing for the first time how vast the sea of rooftops was. The world had always seemed so small to him before.

Smiling, Lan leaned in and kissed Kane again. He ran his up to Kane's cheeks as he kissed him. "How could someone so perfect be fallen?" he asked as he kissed Kane.

"Well," Kane thought as he smiled at Lan, "I didn't fall on my own." He wondered how much Lan knew about fallen angels. He knew only what Lan had told him or what he had seen of neko. It seemed that everyone was so different, and yet they were all so alike on the inside. Kane was not so used to this side of people, but it was very refreshing to see it in all of his friends.

Lan held Kane close and kissed him again. He smiled back and thought about how lucky he was. This angel had come fro no where and changed Lan's life. "I don't care what any one, God or not says," Lan said as he brushed his smooth hand along Kane's cheek, "You are a true angel"

Kane's heart always melted when Lan acted so sweet. "Thank you. And you are not a 'freak,'" Kane nearly had to force the world out, "even though you say that is what people call you, you are more perfect than any of them are. If they could not see how wonderful you are, then they are blind of mind." Noticing that the other neko was not answering them, Kane turned to call, "Hey, are you," but leaned a little two far and tumble off the edge. "Whoa!" As he tried to catch the side of the building, he noticed how his head was spinning. 'What's wrong?' he wondered to himself.

"Kane!" cried Lan as he jumped off the ledge after Kane. He gave no thought to his own safety, only to that of Kane's. As the two fell, Lan reached Kane, grabbed him and turned so that Kane was ontop of Lan. Lan let out a howl as they hit the ground.

Rolling off of Lan, Kane tried to stand. When he feel back to his knees, he apted for crawling over to Lan. "Lan! Lan!" He shouted as he shook him by the shoulders. "Are you alright?" Kane checked to see if he was still breathing.

Lan was crying and grabbing his shoulder. Sobbing uncontrollably, blood started to drip from his shoulder. "K-Kane....please h-help me! I-It h-hurts s-so b-bad." he cried as he leaned against Kane's leg.

Crying himself, Kane said, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry. Lucca!" he called up to the angel. "Lucca!" As he waited for the other angel, he stuttered, "I-I don't know what to do. What should I do?"

Lan tried to calm his breathing and he grit his teeth as his ears flattened. "K-Kane...Y-you are an angel...pl-please...try" he asked as he brought a trembling hand up to Kane's face. "You can do it"

"I can't," Kane sobbed. "We don't have the power to fix things, only protect them. And I couldn't even protect you." Kane could not stand to see Lan in such pain because of his small mistake. He broke down crying next to Lan, sobbing uncontrollably into his hands.

Lan shook his head and put his hand back on Kane's face. "Y-you still don't get it...It's like yin yang...N-no matter how fallen you are, you still have some angel in you.." he said as he wiped away Kane's tears.
