The cub seemed smug at all the attention and purred, strutting when she let him go, making Moni shake with silent laughter. He was glad that Sweetie was growing, and he was beginning to hunt on his own.

Fryma chuckled as he watched the cub. "I'd be careful if I were you two. That cub might get a big head," he teased, speaking to Moni and Maria but looking at Sweetie.

Moni smiled and petted Sweetie, scratching behind his ears. HE was glad that Sweetie was doing well... then the mother came over and nuzzled Moni in greeting.

Fryma smiled and went over to pet her. "Hello. It's been quite a while since we've seen you."

She rubbed against him and Moni smiled, petting her as well. He was glad that Grelda hadn't done anything to them, at least. He was happy for them.

They played with the leopards until it was almost time for sunset. Fryma happened to look up and his eyes widened. "Maria, I think you should go home now. It's almost time for sunset, and the forest has been having more unpleasant visitors lately." He turned to the leopards and asked if they would mind escorting Maria home.

The mother leopard ushered Maria onto her back and together they took her home. Moni smiled and waved, then snuggled into Fryma. At least they'd managed to finish the day nicely.

Fryma cuddled with him for a little while, then stood, offering a hand to both Moni and Kori. "Come on. We should be heading home, too."

Kori nodded and put out the fire before getting up, and Moni still held Fryma's hand as they went home.

Fryma collapsed in a chair when they finally reached the house. It had one of the most exhausting days he'd had in a long time, and something told him that the danger wasn't quite over yet. That's why he had strengthened the protection spells around them as much as he could. "We should be safe here," he assured them, though no one had said anything.

Moni kissed Fryma's forehead, nodding. Kori yawned and went to bed, ruffling Moni's hair before heading to his room. Moni supported Fryma and took him to the bed, laying down with him and curling into his warm chest. The chipmunk came over and snuggled into his neck warmly.

Fryma made sure Moni was asleep and went out to sit by the river, watching the stars. Eventually, he began to feel more peaceful, though he still wasn't tired. He ended up watching the stars until the sun rose, and he smiled as he watched. Everything about nature was just so relaxing, and nothing made him feel better than a nice long star gaze to calm him.

Moni slowly woke up, expecting Fryma to be beside him. When he saw that the spot was empty, he panicked, sitting up quickly and looking for him, forgetting to pick off the feathers.

Kori stopped him in the living room and pointed out the window. "He's meditating," he said softly. Fryma brought his head back to Earth after a minute and stood, not aware yet that Moni and Kori were up. He smiled when he saw them. "Good morning, you two. How are you this morning?"

Moni sighed in relief and smiled, coming over and hugging him. He had been worried.
