Do you know what you got into Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do------------------------------------------------}:-
SAI No escaping when I start .traeh ruoy nwo I ni m'I ecnO
Beautiful Dreamer
By the time the show started everyone was hyped and raring to go. And when 'Shou' was finally introduced, Yamada raised his hand to the staff as if a sign to star the count down to their part of the performance. Everything was perfect as far as Shou's team - Except for...Shou.
Even Kaito could feel the palpable tension in the air as Team 5 readied themselves like soldier for their Shogun. In the mean time, NHK staff was on point filming the various angles getting crowd responses during the interview while a translator was typing out the Japanese on screen in perfect dictation.
As he walked out, Sai knew he'd have to be careful. He was wearing a long cream coat with fur collar and cuffs. His hair was long again but a matching hat covered the top most part of it with a layer of a sheer cream veil that hid his eyes and part of his hair. He waved towards the crowd but the shielded his eyes. The lights hurt today. God! He didn't want to be out here and felt a little nervous. So unlike Shou, but he tried to make a good impression.
Once Sai sat down, the interview began covering several parts of Shou's world including Hawaii, Izzy, Ko, and the death of Hayato Jun. Most of these topics Sai would NEVER have discussed with anyone and he had no clue how to handle it as Shou. He could almost feel the bead of sweat down his neck as he tried to navigate the conversation.
"So how do you feel about being Ko-kun's guardian? Can you tell us a little about him?" asked the female interviewer as she sat very composed in her chair.
"I...well...he...I'm very happy to have taken up the responsibility of my nephew. He's an adorable child and...umm...while my world is very busy, I'm still going to do my best to be a good role model." Oh god, he sounded so flat. Lighten up, Sai. Wait there was another question! "Ah...yes, well. Ko-kun...is trying very hard to follow in my footsteps. He enjoys playing the piano and of course enjoying the holidays like any kid his age."
The questions continued leading into his time with Izzy Lucky and Sai tried to lighten up but he felt as stiff as a board. This wasn't like presenting to a meeting room of business clients. He was trying to act out a life he didn't really live! So he tried to keep things simple remember what he saw in replays of several news broadcasts that Izzy and Shou had been on.
Meanwhile, Haru called Naoko from the backstage hoping that the young man would pick up. He'd keep trying over and to get the man to pick up the phone. He knew he was at the Aquarium or fairly close to it. When the young man finally answered Haru said, "Naoko-kun we've a problem." He cupped the phone and said, "Sai on tv. Shou has gone poof. I can't explain what the heck happened right now but I need you to talk to Sai once this interview is over. Sai won't be able to go on stage and perform, but I'm hoping you can help somehow get Shou to return. This is a total cluster. Sai is trying to do Shou's interview."

Finally at the aquarium, Naoko was about to get out of the car when his phone rang. "Just a second, Ko-kun... it's Yamada-san." he said, seeing the caller id. "Moshi moshi... uh... wait WHAT?!" the panic in those amber eyes. Oh god if Sai was Shou right now... Turning, the pianist asked Ko for his ipad for a moment and he quickly tapped into a live stream of Shou's interview. Luckily they'd already talked about Hayato... "Yamada-san... I... wait how am I supposed to make him Shou?! It's not like some damn switch and..." Oh god this was horrible... Sai was so stiff! "look um... ask for a longer break and just give him the phone, ne? I'm too far away to get there in person in time..." Sighing, Naoko leaned back in the driver's seat, ipad perched on the steering wheel. "Gomen ne, Ko-kun... it'll just be a few minutes. We'll even get ice cream at the aquarium if you want. I bet they have fish shaped sprinkles..." he said, basically on hold until the commercial break.

Sadness sinks, and look, the night comes to an end.
Sitting on the bed in his hotel room, Jun slurped away at a little takeout box of yakisoba as he stared at the TV. He hadn't been aware that Shou was supposed to be on NHK today, but it made him happy when he heard.
Of course, they didn't get through the first two questions before the now blond guitarist realized that the person on his screen was most certainly not Shou. Shou wouldn't be so damn nervous and...boring!
"Ohhhhh s**t....." he mumbled, biting his lip for a moment. Ok, so the beautiful star seemed a bit...tired...to most people, perhaps. Nobody else would really notice. At least...not until it came time for him to perform.
"Please, please, pleeeease be able to sing, baby..." he spoke to the TV screen, sending off a little prayer that Sai would either go back to being Shou, or that some sort of miracle would happen.
Let's go searching for you -----------------------------------------------------------
And your warmth, in a world yet unseen.

kawaita tsumori ame ga tsuzunaku katari kakeru namida wa seijaku ni...samayou yoru ga akeru
"Then...let him be mad...." Hideki murmured, his face resting against Kai's neck as they lay there, a tangle of arms and legs. So warm, comfy, and cozy.
It wasn't long before Chiyou was as knocked out as Nakai, falling back into more pleasant dreams, where all the things he fantasized about were absolute reality.

"But...that's not fair! None of those things was your fault, so why would Matsumoto-san blame you? For crying out loud, you're a PR specialist, not a freakin' bodyguard or ninja." the violinist seemed absolutely incensed at the idea that such a nice man was being punished so unreasonably. In his opinion, Ishihara had performed exceedingly well under such duress. He should be given a raise and EXTRA vacation time! Not punished.
"Mm...well, there's nothing to forgive. You cannot help how you are. I'd probably be more reserved too, if I did your job. Instead...I guess I'm not reserved enough, or else we wouldn't even be sitting here today, huh?"
It was a valid point, after all. If he weren't so much like an over-friendly pup You wouldn't have had to have this meeting and create a PR story to cover for his indiscretions.

Throughout the morning, Nezumi couldn't help but keep glancing at the text he had gotten from Michi-kun. The sweet young man wanted to make him proud....
He couldn't remember having ever received such a sentiment from a star before. It made him smile. That said a lot, because the way he was feeling today, it took a lot to make him smile.
Later in the morning, the mousy manager sat in the recording studio lobby, wondering just where in the hell Nakai and Chiyou had gotten to.
Perhaps they were having trouble adjusting to the sudden cessation of their vacation. He could sort of understand that.
After all, he was on his fifth cup of coffee already today, his eyelids heavy and his head aching from lack of proper rest or diet.
With a sigh, he sent a text to Nakai's cell phone.
Please be in to work no later than one in the afternoon. We absolutely have to get some work done.
He wasn't angry about them being late. Honestly, he figured Chiyou needed the extra rest. Within reason, of course. Nezumi had every intention of being lenient on the young vocalist, given the circumstances.
Otherwise he would be on the phone screaming in some ears right about now.
Instead, the mouse went on his way and began processing some paperwork and making requests for this and that for his stars. His well being could wait. His stars had to be taken care of first and foremost...because Hiroki wasn't here, and he had to do his part to make sure the company was running...as smoothly as possible.

"You did? Huh....." Ryuukaze seemed to ponder that for along moment.
"Well, I guess that explains a lot. Frankly, it was kinda beyond me how you didn't die out there, running off like you did. You totally handled it like a boss, in my opinion. I'm glad you were there. Hell, if it had been left up to me, knowing my luck, they would have blown my brains out all over the parking lot...."
True story...
"Still....he shouldn't be such a hardass about it. Nobody died...except for Hayato...and...well, that was probably bound to happen, right?" the violinist justified using his lenient sense of judgement on the whole affair.
If it were him in charge, though, he'd probably give his employees unlimited vacation days with all you can eat cotton candy....and go out of business in a month.
"You think I'm a good musician?" the star gave a lopsided grin.
"Sometimes I wonder about that...like, I became a star on accident. Of course, I was, technically, born into an affluent family...but still. That wasn't how I got where I am. I think it's kind of a fluke. Everything I have ever done or ever will do is the result of some sort of cosmic accident!"

Do you know what you got into Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do------------------------------------------------}:-
SHOU No escaping when I start .traeh ruoy nwo I ni m'I ecnO
Beautiful Dreamer
Ko took the phone quickly and felt back in his seat. "Uncle Shou, Uncle Naoko and I have the Ipad on and we can see the commercials before you go on stage."
Shou smiled brightly and looked around, "Oh my, Ko I'm going to be late. I've got to go. But that makes me feel very good inside."
"I love you Uncle Shou! Ganbatte!!!" Ko said quickly and hugged the phone to his ear as he lay on the backseat.
"I do you too..." Shou returned softly wanting hold his small nephew but then he felt a hand on his shoulder and turned his head to meet the concerned face of his assistant.
"Sa...Shou?" Haru inquired carefully while praying to the immortal ancestors that Naoko had gotten through to the man. "Is it you?"
"Of course it's ME. Who else could it be? Oh Ko, I've got to go now. Be good!" he hung up the phone and looked at it. "This isn't my phone. You look terrible Hamu! What's wrong?"
"No it's mine." Haru huffed as he snatched it back then in a flash was rushing to get Shou to where he was suppose to be with less than 30 seconds before the commercial would end. The make up crew touched him up and Shou was still trying to figure out how he could have missed most of his interview.
When the lights came up, he flashed a smile with a twinkle in his eye once more.
"Are you feeling any better, Shou-san?" asked the worried interviewer.
"Well, yes, I am!" he said with an animated smile, "You see, I had a bit of a headache earlier and it's hard to concentrate when you're fighting with that. I apologize to the audience and my fans watching this on livestream. Oh and Hi Ko!" He waved to the cameras knowing that the boy was probably squealing in the car watching him with Naoko.
"Ah...that does explain it. So what finally solved the headache? You look so much better now." she asked feeling a bit relieved by the star's more perky attitude.
"My assistant gave me pain relievers earlier so they finally kicked in. You know things have been happening so fast after the tsunami and Hayato Jun's passing that things have just been catching up with me." he said with a heartfelt sigh. "And you know, Azriel-san was here just moments before the interview too. Wishing me luck. He wants to meet with me at some point. You never know what sort of collaboration might come from that."
The interviewer laughed and the fans of course were quite excited, "Is that so?! Well we all look forward to that as you can see."
"I think that Azriel might have an interesting concept up his sleeve already...so be warned young goths!" Shou's outrageous nature was back in full swing and it made it hard to tell that he had even been so bland and out of it before. Like a whole different person. But only a very few knew that part was true.
"But...let me make it up to you for my sorry mood." Shou offered with a magical smile as he leaned forward to and looked towards the fans "Would you forgive me if I performed for you."
I'm sure the fans would love that." It was then the audience was charged with energy clapping their hands hard and calling out to the star telling him various things from forgiveness to desire and even a couple shouting out that they have more aspirin if he needs it.
"So maybe you'll sing the first song off of your new album? The album is called '鏡をじっと見つめている’ (Gazing in the Mirror). Do you want to tell us a bit about it?
"Ah...yes, well the title is something from my time with Izzy Lucky upon the boat at sea...Some days it was very hard to look at ourselves out there. You can't really escape the reflections upon the ocean...you can't easily escape yourself. That is what I was thinking about when I chose this title." said Shou as he crossed his legs and leaned back in the seat again.
But there was also a secret meaning between he and Izzy. Those days that Shou couldn't cope....when he saw his own reflection and was unable to look upon it without loosing his head. Those days that Izzy hid that mirror from him and even then he couldn't escape himself looking out upon the water. Shou had thought he would go mad out there. That is until Izzy gently tied a hand made mask made from his own shirt for Shou's eyes. Shou couldn't understand why his reflection so deeply affected him those days. It was almost like looking at someone else... Someone he could never quite touch. He looked at the mirror hard upon returning. Tore off his mask in his bathroom trying to face that reflection! But the uneasiness always increased until he put his makeup on. So he titled the album the very thing that he seemed to fear. He wanted to confront that man in the mirror but somehow...that man was not ready to confront him.
"And this song you're about to sing for us....any deep meaning that you'd like to tell us about?" asked the interviewer curiously.
Mmm...maybe I should let the song speak for itself. All I can say is that I dedicate it to someone that will never hear these words...as I did." Shou answered slowly with a thoughtful expression to his masked gaze then he got up and walked away toward the stage to the side while the camera's panned to the announcer standing to the side.
"Well, that's appears to be another mystery we only hope to have answered by the song itself." said the announcer. But now we have a short break." Upon the screen NHK shifted to a short commercial break for Suntory tea, Yodobashi Camera, Toyota and XFantasyX Cologne while back on the set, the NHK staff backed off as Smash Team 5 took over the set.
Upon returning the announcer said "So without further adieu, we presents Shou and Undecided."
The lights dimmed and mixed with a grey fog that spread over the backdrop then lifted to reveal a boat shipwreaked upon the fog covered sands amidst a glowing sunset with the backup band carefully placed as fixtures with the boat and washed up drift wood. The arrangement was subdued as if they were more part of the landscape than actually participants.
Leaning up against the washed ashore boat, Shou stood with flowing blond and golden copper hair that started to slowly lift and sway with a breeze mixed with strands of small polish shell beads. His simple but detailed costume was a mix of loose beaded silk over frayed blue jeans and bare feet. The silken shirt was a sheer coppery and cream colors and had loose waves of material that flowed tattered in the breeze. His mask a very simple cream with woven beads that matched the ones streaming in his hair. Lights flickered off the small beads making the mysterious whole image of him a surreal ghost of castaway. Around his ankle was a small anklet made of hair and copper wire with red, sand and light blue beads.
In his hands, a simple guitar of straight blond wood with stenciled words in red that looked as if it were sprayed on and slightly smeared, "失楽園" (Paradise Lost). High on the neck of the guitar was a tied silk scarf of red with dangling beads. The air was somber for a moment as the intensity of the as the 'sun's colors shifted with golden, purple pink and hints of red upon screened clouds.
He pushed away from the boat and his fingers strummed the first notes of a deep emotional experience to come:

haru natsu aki fuyu no kisetsu to... ososugiru kedo mou ichido hora te wo tsunagitai haru natsu aki fuyu no kisetsu ga... itsuka no deai itsuka no wakare kimi to no deai
Time passes by, along with the seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter... I know it's too late, but I just want to hold your hand one more time The seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter... Once we met, Once we separated, and then I met you...
Every emotional word and strum of the guitar was filled with anger, sadness, and the death of impossible dreams. Shou had truly lived and experienced these nightmares of hopeless longing and deep personal regret. If they could see behind his mask, they'd find that face touched by glistening tears. These painful cries would not be heard, not in the same way he had heard them upon the boat, or the way he had felt them in a dark bedroom in LA after one short phone call. Or even after the loss he felt when Haru gave him the news. The pure deluge of utter sadness and heart breaking desperation could only be reflected in song; the profound emotions washing like waves upon the sand.
And one more sadness was added to the mix - a mother's tears over the son she was losing. The world that was in those nightmares could never be made right by normal means.
The longing notes dwindled into the darkness of the setting sun as if on cue with the very last plucks of the guitar strings. And just then the camera panned down to Shou's foot in the sand and a the anklet upon his foot. The dark hair that made up the anklet was obvious at this point. Held together by a wrap of thin copper wire that had a singular copper locket, which was shaped in a small heart. However, before the camera settled in too close, the waves flowed over the foot. And when it pulled away, the foot had disappeared leaving only a wet foot print. Soon that too disappeared with a second returning wave leaving a white foam mixing in the sand as it drifted back and the shot faded out.
------
Kaito could only watch in awe of the Team 5 engineers backstage executed the perfect manouvers of lights and effects. Even Shou's long extensions were on invisible threads being masterful pulled in the 'breeze' by an effects man at the side matching the breeze hitting the Star's silk to create the slight flow of waves in the air. The effects were subtle but blended with appearance of the beach to such a degree that Kaito thought he might have been there. The sun, clouds and stars were all created with different effects on a screen that allowed the light to be softened and diffused for the audience on the other side.
The special effects with Shou's foot and the water was filmed before the show itself in a special wave tub at the studio then seamlessly added in at the end right when Shou finished his last few notes. Kaito could only hope to glean even a portion of what these men knew. Shou's Team 5 was worthy of every accolade. As he looked around, he knew Yamada-san had been masterfully coordinating with each staff member almost like a conductor. No wonder Shou's shows went off without a hitch. These guys lived for this perfection. They could walk way knowing that the Fantasy had become...reality.
Kaito wanted to be that good...it was hard not to want to be part of this dream team. So...this was how Shou's magical world came to life. But beyond that, all the talent it took to make each part work prior to the live show was intense...wow... No wonder Shou's world was expensive although worth every yen of profit over the top. It had been a powerful performance. Kaito wanted Azriel's appearances to be just like this...perfect. He wondered if Azriel was watching and what he was thinking.
-------
In the car, Ko wiped a tear from his eye a he watched and listened, "Uncle Shou song is beautiful..." He sniffled a little bit because this was the one way he knew Uncle Shou had been sad. By the song he had prepared for today.
((OOC: Dir en Grey - Undecided Here's the link to the Youtube songs. There are two versions of the song both with the same lyrics except for a couple lines that are just in romanji above. You can hear both version. I envision Shou singing with the passion of the first version plus the extra lyrics you'll find in the second. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbsWOuzX4v0
I think it really fits many emotions and situations in the RP...))
