*Down at the station, the officers dealing with Vassnta are at a loss of what to do with him. He gave no last name (insisting he didn't have one), has no form of identification, the computer didn't match his fingerprints with any in the database, and anytime he was asked if he had any friends or relatives in the area that could come pick him up, he would just frown and say he didn't want to bother anyone.
A psychologist that was called in concluded that he must have regressed to a child-like state due to intense trauma, likely related to the seemingly ritualistic genital mutilation he's obviously gone through. This results in a team of officers being set up to investigate possible cult activity in Geezerville as well as a notice being sent out to all officers to keep an eye out for such and report back to the investigative team.
In the meantime, Vassnta has become somewhat of a sideshow. During lunch and off-duty hours, officers will come in, sometimes accompanied by friends, to gawk at the genderless wonder. Someone donated some clothes to him in an attempt to stop the practice, but it was soon discovered that he would just as well pull down his pants and show anyone who asked because he didn't know any better.
He has also refused to eat, stating he has no need or desire to. Not really equipped to handle what they can only see as a plethora of mental disorders that this individual has, this morning they have begun to call around and try to make arrangements to have him transferred to a psychiatric hospital.*

:: Miro wakes up pretty late in the morning. She's been having trouble getting to sleep since she started with Liada's dreamless incense oil stuff, though she thinks it's probably unrelated.
Vassnta hasn't returned at all and she's starting to get worried. At first she thought of him being on his own the way she would think of Tes or Draa being on their own, meaning he was fully capable of taking care of himself in most normal situations. Him being out of the apartment also gave her the opportunity to better clear her head, or so she thought.
However, as she was taking things out of the bedroom that remind her of Draa in an effort to further clean her thoughts, she comes across the naked pictures Vassnta had taken of himself. In addition to looking at them for longer than she knew she should sweatdrop redface , she recalls that he'd taken them because he honestly thought that's just the kind of thing you hand out to trick-or-treaters. With how busy she had been trying to not think about the feelings he had awoken inside her, she'd forgotten that he isn't at all like Tes or Draa when it comes to how he interprets the world around him, which leaves him open to all kinds of dangers.
Now realizing how bad this situation could be for Vassnta, she goes to the computer to contact Tes to see if he'd gone there, but by now he's offline and probably asleep. She leaves him a message anyway for when he wakes up, then gets dressed and heads out to start looking and asking around about him, bringing one of his naked pictures (but cropped sweatdrop ) with her ::

*finally getting home from Kits' house, Karrie collapses in his chair. He'd spent the last few hours over there, first listening to her yell at him for how he'd treated dame the other night, then trying to calm her down before she broke something. sweatdrop She was angry because not only had he assumed that she would get upset, he had locked himself in his bedroom after talking to dame. Later on, he'd realized that he'd acted pretty childish, and it was definitely not the best reaction.
He had finally slipped out tonight when Kits fell asleep on the couch, after carrying her to her bed. Of course, even though he was terrified of her when she was mad, she was still his best friend, and he wanted to make sure she didn't get hurt or do anything she'd regret later. He was doing enough of that for the both of them lately. sweatdrop He didn't regret the time he was spending with dame, but he didn't like the need to hide it to avoid trouble with other people*
I need to apologize to her...

Right... sweatdrop *picks up his phone, then puts it down* In person, though. I'll stop by dame's tomorrow after work.

*sighs, knowing the dragon was right* I'll talk to her tomorrow too if I can. Hopefully she'll calm down by then. sweatdrop *yawns* For now, I think I'd better go to bed.

:: Miro was up late last night checking in at several places around Geezerville, including Aqua Springs, Chatty Kathy's, Black's Hall, the Cabana Bar, and the Information Center. Someone working at the Information Center said they had seen Vassnta wandering around outside and called the cops on him. gonk He didn't know what happened after that, but assumed the police likely got him. She asked where the police station was, hoping it wasn't too far away after all the walking she'd already done sweatdrop , then headed there afterward.
When she got there and asked about Vassnta, they wouldn't let her see him, saying they had several questions to ask her before she would be allowed near him. She didn't understand why such a thing would be necessary, and furthermore, they told her to come back in the morning because the people who wanted to question her had gone home for the night. At least she knew now that Vassnta wasn't out on the streets somewhere, though having grown up with Tes' influence, she didn't much trust police either. sweatdrop
An officer offered to drive her home upon seeing how tired she was, but she elected to walk back to the apartment instead, which took quite some time more so due to her having gotten lost rather than the distance. crying By the time she gets there, she just kicks off her shoes and passes out in bed, not wanting to deal with the dreamless incense first.
In her sleep, she dreams she's being held on trial back on Norrath to determine whether or not she should be allowed to remain a part of the clergy. Tes, Ryzan, Draa, and Vassnta all testify against her, outlining all the rules she has broken and continues to break. Some of them seem so minor, like taking cake from Draa, but they are treated with the utmost severity. Given how long she has been a cleric and the great difficulty it would be to target just her clerical training, it's decided that her punishment will be a complete wipe of her entire memory, which would leave her, mentally, like an infant. When asked who will care for her after her sentencing, no one steps up. No one wants to have to deal with her, especially after she has ruined all of their lives in some form or fashion:
Tes was forced to marry Ryzan because of her even though he was straight.
She knowingly took advantage of Ryzan while he was drunk.
Draa was driven out of the apartment to get away from her and came back possessed and needing a baptism, which led to him practically being erased from existence.
And Vassnta, someone who literally didn't even know the meaning of "harm", was in jail, among who knows how many other unpleasant things she has exposed him to.
She awakens in tears and looks over at the oil burner she has set up by the bed, really wishing she had taken the time to use it last night. ::

:: after having breakfast and getting ready, she heads to the station. After arriving and having to restate what her business there was, she was escorted into one of the back rooms and made to wait as they went to get a hold of one of the investigators. The longer she waited, the more she started to worry that something had happened to Vassnta. It would explain why they wanted to question her instead of just letting her take him home.
Finally, someone comes in, but the skeptical look he gives her seemed to indicate that she might be here for a while crying ::

:: keeps a stoic expression as he makes a notation of her answer. The fact she claimed not to have a last name just like the other guy in addition to having pointed ears like him seemed to indicate she was likely part of the same cult ::

:: looks up in shock at first, wondering how he knew she was married, but then sees him pointing at her wedding band which she quickly hides with her other hand as if he hadn't already seen it ::

:: The line of questioning goes on and on, many of them being more personal than Miro felt comfortable with. When he's done, he makes her wait again while he goes over the information with the other investigators. The conclusion they reach is that she must have been cheating on her husband with these "friends" of hers, despite her claiming otherwise, and Vassnta was one of them. This in turn made her husband the prime suspect for Vassnta's genital mutilation. She did indicate her husband had a temper, and if she was cheating on him, that provided a motive.
The man then returns to the room and asks Miro where they would be able to find her husband, but she doesn't answer. Most of the people here probably didn't even know there were other worlds, so it's not like they would believe her if she did answer. Even so, she wouldn't want to anyway because she didn't want him to be involved.
He asks repeatedly and offers her protection, thinking perhaps she was afraid of her husband's wrath, but she still doesn't answer. Eventually, they're left with no choice but to let her go and try to locate her husband through their own means.
Finally, she's told that Vassnta was admitted to a mental hospital and why they felt it necessary to do so. She's then given the address, told to call if she has any additional information she wishes to give them, then is allowed to leave. ::

:: at the mental hospital, they at first don't want to release Vassnta to Miro's care because they haven't gotten to the source of his condition or anything yet, plus she wasn't family. But after she's allowed to see him and he confirms that he does in fact know her and even seems elated that she's there, they reluctantly let her take him home.
On the walk back to the apartment, they're both quiet at first: Vassnta trying to avoid saying anything that would upset her since she seemed very unhappy with him the last time he saw her, and Miro not knowing what to say after having put him through what seemed to her like a terrible ordeal.
Perhaps she had overreacted to him the other morning. Granted he was rather forward with her, but he also likely didn't even know what he was doing. It would also be a lie to say that she would find intimacy with him completely objectionable, though as both a married woman and a cleric, that was improper of her to feel. ::
Did.... did they hurt you in any way?
:: cocks his head to the side at what Miro asks ::

I think the handcuffs hurt a little. They certainly didn't feel nice to wear, but it wasn't as bad as the feeling I got when you hurt me.
