"Where would you meet him?" Lan asked as he kissed Kane again. Thinking as he ran his fingers through Kane's hair how much he hoped this could end soon.

Signing, Kan explaned, "It's this place called the 'Beauty Parlor,' but I bet you can already tell that's it's not some hair salon." Leading Lan along, Kane really did not want to have to show him that place, but it was the only starting point they had. "Lan," Kane asked with his eyes to the ground, "how can you look past all of this? I mean, so many people just see trash that I sometimes wonder if that's what I am. But then there's you who can look past it all and find someone that even I can't see. How is that?"

Lan stopped and put his hands on Kane's face. "You gave me something to live for other than revenge. You were the one kind face in this sea of spite. I saw you and something about you made me feel safe" Lan said as he stroked Kane's hair. "You accepted me even though I'm a freak. And you still as 'why? why? why?'" he leaned in and kissed Kane gently but with love. "I see the Kane who has not fallen" Lan said as he blushed and brought up Kane's ring hand. He held it in front of his face and said "I never want to be away from you Kane. And I'll never be with anyone else." Once he finished, he opened his mouth and let out a pitch so impossibly high that none could hear it. Slowly, the stone in the ring turned into a blue diamond. "I'll always be yours"

Throwing himself into Lan's arms, Kane cried quietly. "Lan....thank you. that's all I really needed." Kane still did not completely understand it, but he thought that maybe it ment Lan loved him for the same reason he loved Lan. "I promise I'll never leave you either." Then, taking Lan's hand, Kane continued down the street. He walked more closely, his shoulder gently brushing Lan's "Alright then," he said blushing, "I don't feel bad anymore. The place is just a few blocks down. We'll be there soon."

As they walked, Lan decided what he wanted to do. He moved so he stood in front of Kane and moved a hand down to his sword hilt and removed the stud at the base of the hilt. Bring it up and turning it down, something fell into Lan's hand. He blushed and looked up to face Kane. Opening his hand to show a bright ruby earing that was shaped like a rose, he spoke to Kane "Before she died, my mom g-gave me this earing to give to the one person who I wanted to spend and share my life with. She asked me to give it to the the one person who would be my lover for life. K-Kane..." he flushed and stuttered "W-will you w-wear it?"

"Love confessions here? well this is interesting!" Shinichi spoke to himself atop the roof he was on, watching a couple, fresh from a fight. One was giving the other something, it was shiny he was muttering something about the other man being his lover.

Blushing, Kane said, "O-of course. That's what I promised with the ring, no?" Gratefully accepting the tiny rose, Kane used the sharp end to pierce his left ear. Then he set the earing in place. Taking Lan's hands, he pecked him on the cheek. As he gave lan a loving smile, he noticed something on a building nearby. Turning to look, he pointed at something perched at the top. "What's that?"

Lan wrapped both his arms around Kane's waist, blushing a little as he did. "Hold on" he said as he leaped up to the top of the adjacent building next to the one on which Kane had seen the figure. "What did you see?"

"Over there," he pointed again. Looking more closely he said, "I think it's a neko! What should we do?" It seemed that there were more and more neko in the town every day, but Lan was still the only cat for Kane. Still in Lan's arms, Kane gently scratched his ears as he waited for Lan's response.

Lan closed his eyes and purred as Kane scratched his ears. To caught up, he turned his head and pressed his cheek against Kane's in that natural cat like manner. "Hmmm?" Lan purred since he hadn't heard what Kane had said.

"He said there's another neko over there" Lucca said as they reached Lan an Kane "Still, we need to be more cautious, we were lucky that Lyle guy didn't meant to hurt us, he was strong, the first time someone breaks a spell I cast...even though my magic is getting weaker, used it way too much for one night" He said seriously as he looked up to the unknown neko "Hey you over there! get down, we don't want to do anything bad"

Petting Lan as he rubbed up against his cheek, Kane said, "There's another cat over there I said," unless he hadn't been listening to Lucca either. Looking at the stranger, Kane called, "Hello! Who are you? Are you all alone?"
