She could hardly believe it herself, seeing the sparkles that had come from her as she'd tried to encourage her teammates to fight, which worked swimmingly. So when Ai inquired about it, albeit jokingly the mouse could only chuckle. "I don't know." She replied. "This is the dream world after all.. maybe with every 'guardian' we defeat this place is recovering more and more?" She suggested, thinking it might be a plausible cause to all the happenings as of late. From her fire not being hot, to her new coat, to the sparkles that she emitted... Perhaps when this was all said and done something super amazing would happen?
For that to happen though, the team had to progress. So up the stairs they went. Partway up Radium hesitated, her stick had suddenly gotten heavier. Looking over a it she noticed a sizable mushroom had started to grow on it's side just below the flame. "Huh?" Had she picked up a spore while back in that swamp? Mushrooms did grow in abundance in swamps after all. Though... Radium wasn't entirely to educated on mushroom, so she looked to Ai then to Dotty as she continued to clime. "Do... do either of you know what this mushroom is?" Radium inquired. There was a chance they knew? Hopefully it's spores weren't poisonous... well, this was the dream world, but one could never be to safe, right?

☆ ☆【With the guardian now thoroughly defeated and the path to the stairs open to them, Piper was more than eager to push onwards and finally get out of this swamp. Hopefully whatever new environment they’d have to journey through next would be a bit more… pleasant in comparison to that, though she probably shouldn’t get her hopes up too high. For all they knew, the next area would likely end up somehow being much worse than this. The Noivern welcomed the feel of cool grass on her feet as they approached the stairs, taking a moment to kick and shake off any leftover mud that still hung on before climbing up alongside the others. A soft laugh escaped her at Vivace’s bold declaration of how they were really great, though to be fair the Togepi’s statement wasn’t entirely just hyperbole. There was no denying that they all had worked really well together, they had managed to fell not one but two guardians quite easily so far through the power of teamwork. ”Heh, w-we really are, huh V-Vivie?” she agreed with a nod, ”I’m s-sure we’ll get through the r-rest of this p-pretty quickly if w-we keep it up like th-this.” It definitely helped that they were a rather large team as well, being able to get off as many attacks as possible before they ended up being attacked in return would certainly be useful. Especially against what would undoubtedly be much tougher guardians up ahead… not to mention Darkrai himself…
As they ascended together, Piper’s ears flicked a bit as Ai asked Radium how she had done that back there, remarking that she didn’t recall that stick being a sparkler. The Noivern chuckled along with the Espeon at that, though she admittedly was quite curious herself. It seemed the Pichu brought out something new for every battle, though so far it had actually proved to be surprisingly beneficial to their team. She hummed softly with a nod of understanding as Radium admitted that she didn’t know, suggesting that since this was the dream world maybe it was starting to recover with every guardian they defeated. ”It’s p-possible…” Piper chipped in, giving the Pichu a small, encouraging smile, ”Still, w-whatever it is that y-you’re doing, definitely k-keep it up~ It’s p-proved to be quite h-helpful so far.” As they continued to climb, she noticed Radium hesitate for a moment and glance up at her flaming stick. It seemed they might have picked up an unexpected passenger on their way through the swamp, if the rather decent-sized mushroom growing on the side of the stick was of any indication. Piper tilted her head as she inspected the mushroom while the Pichu inquired to Ai and Dotty if they knew what it was. ”Um… I r-remember seeing m-mushrooms like these, they s-sometimes grew in the c-cave where I used t-to live,” she offered, tapping a wing claw against her snout in thought, ”They’re n-not dangerous, though, I b-believe they’re actually v-very useful. Trainers s-sometimes use them t-to teach their P-Pokemon attacks that th-they wouldn’t otherwise l-learn normally.” She didn’t know exactly what it was the humans called it, but the familiar red cap speckled with yellow flecks was unmistakable for any other kind of mushroom she’d seen. At the very least it wasn’t dangerous, though, rather this was actually a happy little accident if anything.
”Hm?” she hummed curiously as she caught something out of the corner of her eye, seeing the same unmistakable pattern against white. Reaching up, she plucked a mushroom of the same kind as the one on Radium’s stick from her mane, when did that get there? Maybe it had fallen from a tree at some point and had gotten stuck in her fur, though she wondered how she hadn’t noticed it by now. ”W-Well would you l-look at that, s-seems I found one of m-my own too~” she said with a hint of amusement in her tone, carefully tucking the mushroom back into her mane for safekeeping. Perhaps Zoey would appreciate it if she brought back something like that too when she finally got out of this dream world.】☆ ☆

A new place… Mystery Dungeon Mogwai spies a new friend! Daphnes, Chickpea, Dune
☆ ☆【With Daphnes sliding a little further ahead now after striking the Hypno, the Shelgon whirling around again and again in circles, it seemed the fight was left to Mogwai and their two new companions as the yellow, big-nosed Pokemon moved to block them off. Seeing their enemy starting to prepare an attack to strike back against them, the Bewear narrowed his eyes and clenched his free paw into a fist. He wasn’t about to let it get even a chance to possibly harm his friends if he could help it. Barreling forward as he unexpectedly used one of his new moves, the Hypno was sent sliding back a few feet through the mud as both Mogwai’s steel hard head and Dune’s rock barrier slammed into it all at once. Smacking into yet another tree, it snarled in rage as it got back to its feet again and turned to face them. Still, judging from the shakiness of its legs and the slump in its posture, the Hypno was clearly on its last legs yet still determined to fight. It raised a hand out towards them, a small ball of bright purple energies starting to gather in its palm as it prepared to lash out at them in hopes to deal some significant damage as a last resort. However, it never got the chance as Chickpea flung a volley of those same pretty purple and pink glowing leaves, which easily homed in on their target. A few buried themselves in the Hypno’s skin, while others zipped past it at high speed and left a series of cuts and slashes in their wake.
With a cry of defeat, the Hypno keeled forward as its legs finally gave out and fell face-first into the mud below, limp and unmoving. With the danger now passed, Mogwai turned his attention towards Daphnes, who had managed to stop a bit of a ways ahead. The Shelgon seemed disappointed that he had missed out on most of the fight, remarking that he didn’t want to experience it ever again. ”Siiiiiiire Daaaaaaaphneeeees ooookaaaaayyyy?” the Bewear questioned out of concern, noting with some relief that his dragon comrade was otherwise unharmed. Then again, that thick shell of his looked like it would make him really hard to hurt anyways! Still, with the guardian now defeated, the mud had parted before them to reveal a much cleaner, more solid path leading to the stairs. It was about time they took their leave of this place, which Daphnes reminded them as he looked back and called for them to head for the exit while they had the chance. ”Yeeeees, weeeee gooooo nooooow,” Mogwai agreed, bending down and gently scooping Chickpea up in his arms so that they could more easily catch up with Daphnes, ”Thiiiiiis ooookaaaaaayyyy?” He remembered that the Chikorita hadn’t really minded being picked up, so he could somewhat assume that it was safe to do so again. Still, he wanted to make sure his companion was okay with it first, it would be rather rude otherwise, right? Though if Chickpea didn’t want to be carried this time around, the Bewear would be glad to set him back down if he so desired.
For now, though, he strode hastily across the grassy path towards the stairs, Chickpea and Dune in hand as he moved to climb up the stairs. With his gait being a bit larger and capable of covering more distance than most of his companions, Mogwai paced himself this time to fall in next to Daphnes as they ascended further and further and left the swamp behind them. ”Thiiiiiink weeeee cloooooose Daaaarkraaaaaiiiii?” he inquired, wondering how much further they had to go until they found where this Darkrai was hiding out at. Surely they had to be getting pretty close by now, right? Mogwai was both nervous yet eager to finally find and defeat this evil villain to save the dream world, all the innocent Pokemon and people of the real world, and Aiden. Their journey had been quite long and full of danger so far, but hopefully they were getting closer and closer to completing their quest as well.】☆ ☆

How did I come here? Mystery Dungeon Another lost soul? Xiao Lan, Beltigre, Shade, and Daiki
☆ ☆【Fianna was more than glad that their team had managed to come out unscathed as they finally defeated the Hypno, it was for the best that they all stay as healthy as possible… Especially since she felt that the next guardian would be quite a bit more difficult to deal with than these big-nosed creeps. For now, though, the path to the stairs had opened up to them, they ought to book it out of here while they still had the chance to. Breathing a sigh of relief upon stepping on the damp grass of the cleared path, Fianna glanced around them as some of the other teams around them succeeded in felling more Hypno while a few others seemed to be struggling a little as the guardians lashed back at them with their own psychic attacks. As much as she wanted to help them out… they really should continue pushing forward and progress to the next floor. The sooner they got to Darkrai and put an end to his schemes, the sooner they’d all be able to get out of this place. The Braixen cast a quick glance behind them as they made for the stairs to look for any signs of Beltigre having caught up to them somehow, sighing softly and shaking her head when she still couldn’t see any signs of the Torracat. At this point they probably had already left Beltigre far behind, for all they knew maybe she might’ve defeated the Drifloon and made it to the cave where they’d encountered the Sableye… All things considered, Fianna hoped she would be able to make it, though she felt confident that the Torracat would be able to take care of herself.
As they climbed up the stairs to the next floor, the Braixen absently noticed that something appeared to have gotten caught on her stick at some point. A sizable mushroom with a red cap decorated with yellow flecks all over it had hitched a bit of an unexpected ride, caught between a couple of small branches just above where her hand gripped onto the flaming branch-wand. Well, considering that they had just been in a swamp and these things tended to grow well in damp places, it wasn’t all that surprising to see one of these here of all places. What she was wondering about was how it had gotten onto her stick and how she hadn’t noticed it until now, maybe it had fallen from above or had gotten caught when she had brushed her torch against a tree? Either way, she recognized it as a big mushroom, apparently trainers used these things to teach their Pokemon certain moves and attacks that they wouldn’t be able to learn normally. They certainly weren’t dangerous, so perhaps… Carefully plucking the mushroom from her branch, she turned it over in her hands to inspect it for any dirt or muck. Oddly enough, the big mushroom was spotless, which could further confirm her theories of how it had gotten there. It was definitely also a plus that it seemed pretty clean, she certainly wouldn’t have been quite as inclined to eat it if it had been growing in that mud. Popping it into her mouth, she chewed the mushroom to pieces, it had a strangely savory yet fish-like taste to it… a little odd for a fungus but otherwise not that bad. Upon swallowing it, the Braixen felt new knowledge fill her mind, a strange kind that felt rather foreign yet at the same time very familiar to her. Perhaps she could put this to good use to help her teammates get through the undoubtedly tougher upcoming fights…】☆ ☆

While she certainly didn't expect outside help, Prim definitely didn't turn it down! As well as she and Ulani had been doing against previous enemies, having two more hands (or, in this case a head and a tail) made the whole 'beating you down' process go a lot faster! And afterwards, with the calming smell of flowers still in the air, Prim took the time to evaluate the two strangers. She didn't recognize either of their species, and while she still pulled closer to Ulani (for no reason at all), she offered them a friendly wave of greeting. At Ulani's suggestion that the other two join them, she nodded her head, after some thought. The two were definitely strong, and they seemed just as interested at confronting Darkrai as they were!
When the other two agreed to join them, Prim took that as the go-ahead to start moving forward, with that pokemon taken care of they could finally start on the stairs and leave behind this terrible place; which couldn't be done fast enough. Despite her eagerness, however, Prim did make sure she didn't travel too far ahead of the other three, and stopped right before reaching the landing of the next floor.

Maybe it was because he was with his friends, or he just enjoyed battling, but even when facing this weird pokemon, the only thing Chickpea felt was a rush of adrenaline and excitement. And, why wouldn't he? Even after Sir Daphnes went careening ahead, the mud loosening his friction and making him slide ahead, the group's reaction was still quick enough to make quick work of the pokemon, before it could even attack! And then, just like that, they were moving on ahead. Or, more accurately, Sir Mogwai moved them along: he was so kind, picking them up so that they could get a quick move on to the next floor.
Chickpea, ever pleased with this arrangement, hummed as Sir Mogwai carried him and Dune up the stairs, and while he didn't move around too much he still eagerly looked around to watch as they drew closer to the next floor. "I wonder what this next one will look like..." he asked aloud, curiosity brimming in his tone, then turned his head up to stare at his carrier. "Maybe! We've been going through a lot lately, so I bet Darkrai isn't too far ahead!" At least, that was his hope. After all, who would want to be too deep ahead? If you got too far ahead, you'd get lost!

Vivace nodded her head firmly, agreeing fully with Piper's suggestion. If they just kept running into a single pokemon each time, and one that didn't even bother trying to get the first hit in, then they'd breeze through the rest of these floors with ease! Though, that got her to thinking... "I wonder how much farther we have to go, before we meet Darkrai," she thought aloud, and then swiveled her head back and forth to look around as they made their way up the stairs. Thinking back, they'd been through: a forest, a cave, and now a swamp -- three completely different areas. How many more were left? With a name like the 'Dream world' this place was bound to be vast, so that meant Darkrai could have been anywhere...
Vast, and super weird. Vivace gave a side eye to both Radium and Piper, as they'd both found strange mushrooms on, or near their person. It was weird, and kind of creepy. Thinking quickly, the Togepi began patting herself down, just to check that she hadn't collected one of those spores. Thankfully, she'd managed to leave the swamps 'unscathed' or... un-spored. And even if Piper insisted that these were 'good mushrooms, ones that were popular amongst trainers no doubt, she still didn't trust them. But that was because she, personally, didn't like mushrooms. "How come food just keeps popping up?" Was this Darkrai's doing? Or was the dream world partial to feeding its inhabitants?

Once the hypno was vanquished, Argo wasted no time in flying ahead as the stairs appeared. Once he reached the top though, his scenery had changed to more like a town. This was good news. Perhaps this place would have better loot. And for once, he could see with ease, with plenty of room for him to fly around.
