When Sirius woke up he noticed Pomfry had already been by to treat Remus, who was still fast asleep. He stroked his friend's cheek. "Please be well." he whispered softly and kissed his forehead.

James stirred and watched Remus for a second, forcing away a frown when he saw that Severus was sleeping with his arm flung over Remus's stomach. "He'll be fine, Sirius. He always is," he assured his friend from across the aisle.

"I know. He's strong. But I just can't help but worry. He doesn't deserve to go through so much pain."

"I know. Hopefully, having Sniv-Sna-Severus around will help with that. Did he seem to be acting funny to you last night, though? Like he'd been in more pain than usual?"

"Yeah I noticed too. That's why I'm so worried. Even now he seems like he's not fighting as hard to get better. But maybe the extra love will help him through." He held Remus' hand.

"I hope so," James muttered, moving to sit on the edge of the bed closest to Sirius. Pushed Remus's hair out of his eyes, staring down at his friend tenderly.
Severus blinked and opened his eyes blearily. "Wha'samatter," he mumbled, his half awake brain thinking it was in the Slytherin dorms but not recognizing the decor, confusing him.

Sirius patted James' shoulder. "He'll make it. He's a lot strong then we give him credit for sometimes." Sirius glanced at Snape. "Nothing's the matter persay." He wasn't sure if he should share their worries with Snape.

Severus woke completely at Sirius's words to James. "What are you talking about? What do you mean "per say"? Is something wrong with him?"

"No not really. He just doesn't seem to be doing as well as usual."
Remus woke up when he heard Severus panicing. "What's with the yelling?" Remus asked softly and groaned as he sat up.
"Here Remy." Sirius handed him a pain relieving potion. "Severus is just being worried about you. How are you feeling?"
He drank the potion. "Tired. My body hurts all over." He rested against the headboard.

Severus frowned both at being told that Remus didn't seem to be doing well, and Remus confirming those suspicions by saying he was tired and sore.
James helped Remus lean back and let his hand linger for a second too long, ignoring Severus's further frown of disapproval. "You'll be better soon. Would you like for us all to leave so you can sleep some more?"

"You don't have to leave if you don't want to. But you don't have to stay and watch me sleep." Which was the cloest Remus was going to get to saying he wanted them to stay. It made him feel better knowing there were people who loved and cared about him around.
Sirius helped him lay back down. "I'll stay as long as you get some sleep Remus."
He nodded and closed his eyes.

Severus and, to Severus's irritation, James nodded and laid back. "I guess we'll all stay, Remy-love," Severus murmured, closing his eyes again as well.
James glared when Severus went back to sleep. It was his opinion that if Severus was really worried about Remus, he'd stay awake and watch over him.

"Thank you." He smiled and fell asleep.
Sirius glared at Snape too. "He didn't even stay up all night with Remus how can he just be sleeping now?" He asked James softly making sure not to wake Remus up.

James shook his head. "I heard them whispering something about how Severus had only slept an hour total when he came down here, and that was around dawn. If he stayed up from the time you went to get Remus to dawn, he probably was tired. I'm not saying I don't agree, Sirius. I don't think we slept at all for keeping watch over him. I'm mad at Peter right now, too. Where did he run off to after Remus changed back?"

"Peter always slips off to sleep in the dorm and do who knows what. That is true at least Snape is here for Remus. But i still think Remus deserves better. He sells himself to short." Sirius stroked Remus' hair.
