"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time... to die."

Never knew I could get so annoyed with Sucker Punch. Dear director, stop. Please stop.

I don´t dislike Nic, he´s a good actor when he gets a right role.
I remember him being cool in ConAir and hilarious in Face-Off when he was a baddie. :p

But that movie..... it rubbed me the wrong way. mad

Nick Cage went from being a psychotic jerk to being a standard action hero to being an emotionless sack.

Nic Cage is an argument starter around here. I like him to some capacity.

So has anyone else heard of the Berserk movies they're making in Japan? They just released the first one back in February, there's going to be three of them to cover the Golden Age story arc.
X
I need to get the DvD somehow once its released >.<

I have had the (dis)pleasure of reading some of the early manga books. Makes for quite dark storytelling with little to no positive change of scenery. I am intrigued by this project though, I've been told that the Band of the Hawk arc is the best arc in the series as a whole.

It is one of the darkest manga out there, excluding those who are there to shock people with extreme pornography and other rather unfitting themes. But as a whole Berserk is a good read and still going strong.

In the last few days we saw the following movies:

The Adventures of Tintin - A total surprise and a pleasant one at that. Smartly written and presented, not a dull moment in sight and it flows like one great big chase scene, showing that you know what? Screw American cinema and their set standards.

War Horse - They don't make them like they used to. It uses all the cheap tricks in the book to pull at your heartstrings, but damn it if it doesn't work. Certainly had me wipe away the odd tear every now and then.

Tron Legacy - Bored now.
