Once they were done eating, Bryan was excited to get going. "So how do you think we should go about finding this pink DigiTama Cherrymon sent us to find? When I was flying on Sabirdramon, the jungle looked huuge."

Jonny exited the cave before the others, and inhaled sharply through his nose. He could smell all the aromas of the forest, and they smelled a lot better than the musty cave back there. At just that moment, rain began to fall all around him. 'Crap...,' he thought, and turned back towards the others.

Justimon was cradling Gage, who was still unconscious from the trauma that had just occurred. Resting on Gage's mid-section, his partner Patamon had finally ran out of energy and fell asleep. Jonny saw how tired that his digimon was, and decided that they should make camp. 'Now to find a place that's still dry,' the Alpha Strike tamer thought bitterly, and searched the forest, Justimon not far behind.

After a bit of looking, the two finally came across a little clearing with a giant Oak-like tree in the center. The branches were wide enough away from the trunk to give them cover from most of the rain. Jonny began to give a little bit of the grass and moss off of the ground, while Justimon propped Gage against the tree, placing so that he wouldn't move unless bothered.

Clearing enough of the ground to dirt, Jonny rummaged a little pile of dry grass and leaves together, and used a lighter from his messenger bag to make a small fire. Gathering some twigs from the surrounding area, Jon was able to get the fire comfortable, and probably big enough to survive most of the night.

Walking over toward his allies, he suddenly stopped when he heard a digimon howl at the moon. At first he had tensed up, ready for combat, but relaxed when he heard the sorrow and pain in the cry. Sympathy washed over him.

Jonny had helped some digimon that had lost their tamers before, and like people, they each needed to heal in their own way. Sometimes they never did. He wanted to extend a helping hand toward the two digimon who had belonged to the one known as Kaya, but thought that they might be outraged, thinking that he was trying to replace their old tamer.

'If they want help, they'll come to the fire,' he thought, and then walked back toward Gage to help Justimon move him. The two moved the Omega Squad researcher over next to the fire, so that the heat would wash over him. Laying down on the other side of the fire, he tipped his hat down over his eyes, so that the early morning light wouldn't wake him up instantly.

Justimon finally ran out of energy, and de-digivolved back down to his rookie form, Monodramon. The purple dragon moved the Patamon over to snuggle up next to his tamer. Monodramon then moved over to his own, scanned the clearing one time, sniffed for scents, and then curled up next to his tamer's feet. The most important thing would be to get proper rest, they were going to have a big day ahead of them.

((Man I really left at a horrible time didn’t I? Sorry about that, and thanks to Stryker for dragging my characters around in the least humiliating way possible...

Anyway we kept getting side tracked but we are finely able to get the camping mini-event underway yay! *breaks out the smores*))

Gage’s eyes slowly blinked open. He could hear the sounds of various bird and insect digimon making their morning noises as the sunlight broke through the trees illuminating the forest floor for another day. He was back in the Jungle? But how? Weren’t they just at the underworld spire? What just happened..? Kaya?

Gage shook his head. In the back of his mind he knew exactly what had happened but for now it was easier to convince himself that he had just dreamed the whole thing. Such a terrible dream... Gage stood trying to figure out his surroundings a little better. He saw Jonny was still sleeping against the tree with his partner. Patamon and Veemon had been laying on either side of Gage, and when the tamer got up the movement awakened both digimon. Gage put an index finger to his lips and made a shooshing motion. He didn’t want to wake Jonny just yet.

Gage moved over toward the smoldering pile of ash that was once a fire. He began piling small twigs on it and fanned the smoldering embers until they caught flame again. His digimon friends got up and wandered over to the fire next to Gage, They both seemed very concerned about him, but Gage wasn’t going to give them the chance to bring it up. “Patamon,” he whispered as he pulled a steel canteen from his bag. “See if you can’t find a river or lake to fill up our water, ok?”

The small hamster like digimon nodded “Understood...” and took hold of the strap hanging from the canteen. Flapping its bat-wing like ears the small creature became airborn and floated off into the jungle to search for water.

“Veemon, you take me as the type who knows his food” Gage said turning to his other digimon.

The small blue dragon snapped into a military salute, “Swir, yes Swir! If its food I can find it!”

Gage smiled, “Good, see if you cant find us some rations, while I get breakfast started.” The veemon nodded, happily distracted by the thought of food, and skipped off into the woods. Gage took cooking supplies out of his bag as well as assorted food items he had been carrying and started to prepare something for everyone to eat.

Labramon nudged Tokomon softly, the smaller digimon finally stopped crying and stared at his companion with tears in his eye
"W-what is it Meta?"
The shape shifter digimon tilted his now dog like head to the side, indicating the sound of someone ... flying?
"Who is it?"
The dog digimon lifted his head and tried to catch the scent
"Smells like a digimon, rookie level, human"
"Alexander?"
Metamormon nodded weakly before he placed a soft cream coloured paw on Tokomons head, the child digimon smiled softly.
"Stay here, whatever happens, do not leave"
The smaller digimon nodded silently and watched as Labramon ran towards the source of the sound.

Its was dawn already, the night had gone by so fast that Metamormon had not even realised several hours had passed.
He could not believe the sun could start rising, in his world the sun should have stayed down and the night should have stayed forever to mourn over Kayas death.
But it didn't really matter did it?
God, he despised humans, how could one silly stupid red haired girl..
He could not finish that line of thought, he knew he was lying to himself, trying to soften the blow of her departure.
He loved the stupid girl, he didn't know how she made him care for her but he did, Kaya and Tokomon were the only ones, humans and digimons, that he had ever cared for at all.

The dog digimon stopped and stared with interest at the river running through the jungle clearing. Tokomon was right, he recognised the Patamon as the one he had seen at dragon eye lake the first time Kaya and Gage met..
How could humans fall in love that easily?
No, don't even start thinking about that!!
Labramon lifted his head, the other rookie had a scent of smoke and humans attached to his short brown and white fur.
He stepped forwards and started trotting towards the other digimon, tail lowered to seem non threatening.
" Patamon"

"Spike wake up, wake up." Spike replyed softly
"Just five more minutes."
"No you get up now." Kuwagamon said then started to flap his wings very loudly
" Alright!" Spike shouted
"I'm up. Geez can't a guy take a nap when he's lost in a jungle? But since I'm up let me on your head." Kuwagamon helped Spike to get on Kuwagamon's head.
"Kuwagamon do you know your way around this forest?"
"Not realy."
"Well then our first order of business is to find a person who does."

Patamon flapped its ears furiously trying to keep its tiny body from being swept away by the rivers current. The small digimon was hovering over the river holding desperately onto a nylon cord attached to the steel canteen that was being pulled down the stream by the rushing waters. After several minutes of playing tug-o-war with nature, the creature used all of its strength to lift the canteen out of the water and fly it back over to the eastern bank. It lowered its brown and white body down to the moss covered shore and tried to catch its breath. After a few minutes of resting the creature got up again and carefully placed the strap around its body so it could carry it back to camp. But before it was able to lift off a voice called out from down river:



The hamster like digimon looked toward the direction of the voice. Seeing a Strange digimon he had never seen before, Patamon quickly took a defensive stance in case it would need to defend itself. “Who is there!?” However, there was something familiar about this digimon, almost as though they had met somewhere before..? Still that had to be impossible, Patamon was 100% positive that he had never seen a digimon that looked like this creature before.

((Meanwhile, somewhere else in the jungle.))

Gage shook his head, “Sorry I’m not really sure...” by this time Gage had a small pot boiling over the fire. He continued to add different dried meats and other ingredients from his ration supply.

Veemon came strolling back toward the camp with his arms overflowing with different wild plants. “Mission Accomplished Doc!” the creature announced triumphantly. The small blue dragon opened his arms allowing the pile of food to tumble from his arm to the ground next to the fire.

“Excellent work, Vee...” Gage paused for a moment, “I really need to find a better name for you, what do you think?”

Veemon looked confused, “What’s wrong with my name?” the creature asked wondering if he should be feeling hurt.

Gage shook his head, “Nothing at all, I just find it rather impersonal to go around calling your friends by their species. Stryker and I couldn’t go around calling each other ‘Human’ all the time. That would become quite confusing.”

Veemon nodded in agreement, “You gotta point there, Doc! So...” it spun around and gave a huge Thumbs up, “What should my name be?!”

Gage thought for a while, “No need to rush it, its best to let these things come to you gradually...” Veemon tumbled over. Gage continued adding ingredients to the stew, the aroma was becoming quite appetizing. It wouldn’t be too much longer until it was ready.

"Man this place is endless. We've been walking for hours and haven't seen a single person. We're never going to get out." Spike says in a sleepy voice.
"Ok Spike first this is not endless, if there is a way in there is a way out. Secondly its only been about 5 minutes, and lastly we can and will find a way out. Oh and also whats is with the we crap I'm the only one thats been walking." Kuwagamon continues to walk unknowing where he's going.
