As is the downfall of every other of our kind. Mercenaries that is, or assassins, or anyone else of those who have worked in the slightly darker side of the world. Even Liada has been victim to it once. She would have my ears if she ever found I revealed this. When she was reborn as she is now Mabb removed all her emotions so that she could exact her revenge on the humans that killed her family, and to serve her Queen like a good little soldier. Eventually Liada found love in one of Mabb's court. She fell quite hard, but he turned out to be an assassin of the UnSeelie court who in the beginning was ordered to kill her Queen and her as well. The opposite side did not expect him to fall for Liada as well. When he was outed and Liada's loyalties were questioned, she did what she had to do. And he told her to with no regrets in his heart what so ever. After she grieved Liada vowed herself never to lose the feelings she regained through that experience. She told me she would rather repeat her actions from beginning to end through a never ending loop for all eternity, than to ever lose what she gained again. It is why she is so loyal to those she calls friends today.

*Anira sips her drink more and looks back to Kat* I would most appreciate it. In the meantime, I would not take so much to heart of your fears. Every coupling goes through this and if it has not completely failed in the past, then it is only to eventually succeed in time. So just enjoy what you two have what you have now. If anything it sounds like he is quite the romantic to be leaving notes for you to wake up to. I would not be surprised if he returns from this Vegas trip only to run into your bed and stay locked in there for a good 40 days or so....

She gave an unladylike snort. "Somehow, I don't see that happening, Anira. The man lives for his career. And don't get me wrong, it was nice to get a note from him, but it just seems like we just can't connect lately."
She finished off her drink and went around to make another one. "See, this is where my doubts stem from....I don't hear from him, so I assume it's because of his work, or whatever. Which then makes me wonder just how important I am to him." She took her fresh drink and went back to her seat.
She gave Anira a small smile, "Thanks for letting me go all emo on you. I haven't really had anyone around to talk to about this. I don't want to bother Psy with my problems this close to her wedding. She has enough going on with all her brothers showing up for the wedding."

Bowing her head in greetings as Kat introduced her and got up from the bar to make another drink while Leko tried to surprise QS*
