It's too girly for you to handle. Pfft- xd
I like Swan Lake, so it was really interesting to see how anime depicted thier own version or a spin off to that story. (:

I was expecting her NOT to turn into a duck, thank you very much. Of course, I don't know what's worse, between the stupid outfit and the ridiculous looking duck.....DX

I watched the Japanese one. Ahiru, wasn't it?
I also remembered,
Spiral Ruroni Kenshin then this one anime I cant remember...very similar to yuyu hakusho but the main character involves himself with fireworks and protects this girl but turns out he's from another time period....dunno.

I haven't really seen any anime... my problen is that I hate generic and or over powered charaters. Honestly if I could find an anime that is more plot based than fighting based I'd be pretty happy.

The ones I listed are the ones that i've seen over time, little by little.
Bokurano involves fifteen children, each with their own individual problems and struggles who are completely normal but have to protect the world by manupilating a giant 50 foot robot at the cost of thier soul. They practically signed a contract thinking it was a game, so they have no choice. If they don't fight and die then the whole world goes with them.
(:
It's a die or die situation. Very sad.

Bakemonogatori is almost completely dialogue, with a few action scenes in between.
And then there's sayonara Zetsubou sensei, which is a rather hilarious pitch black comedy.
