Some years ago, i was at my friend's house, and we were singin and dancin to MTV2. And then this song came on, and it was these guys singing at a funeral wearing black and stuff. I thought it was wierd but 'the singing guy was hot as hell', but then everytime it came on TV I'd start singing and dancing on the part Helena starting dancing. I soon found out that it was Helena, by MCR, and fell in love with them.
TODAY I BOUGHT 'I BOUGHT YOU MY BULLETS, YOU...ect' from the mall!!!
i love the CD! :O

I first heard the song helena on a 30min commercial on AFN then I like the chorus cause thats the only part they played and I typed down the lyrics on google and I got the name, then I searched for it on youtube. youtube changes lives man.

Before I say how I first heard of MCR, I'd like to blame Good Charlotte for this.(This was back when I used to like them). So I was on yahoo watching a GC video and when the song ended, Helena came out randomly. Whwn I saw the video I thought " Wow how unique!!" and ever since then I've been a fan heart !!!

I was surfing the channels a couple years back and happened to catch the last half of “Im Not Okay” on MTV. I didn’t know who the band was but the music video struck me, because I was still in Highschool then. I kept seeing the video around the tube for a while before actually looking them up. Once Helena came out, I was hooked. Haven’t looked back since.

How I found MCR was a very long journey.
1. It started with my friend's shirt. Since I didn't really like her, I thought they were something I would hate.
~skip ahead two years~
2. I was watching F List on Fuse and heard The Ghost Of You. I thought that music video was really sad.
~skip ahead about one month~
3. I was watching some show on Fuse and saw Black Parade (music video, sorry too lazy to type out the whole title).
~skip ahead ehhhh... maybe about a week or two~
4. I thought Famous Last Words music video was scary, so I avoided it.
~skip ahead about two days.~
5. I said to myself, "What the heck. I'll watch it." and fell in love with the video. I wanted the CD.
~skip ahead a few days~
5. Mom said I could get 4 CDs from this deal from this one CD company. I couldn't find TBP, but I did find TCFSR and got it.
~skip ahead a week~
6. I loved that whole CD. And begged friends to let me borrow TBP.
And basicly it. It was a very long journey.

I guess it begins with one of my friends trying to get me to like them. I just ignored him.
Then I heard a DJ on the radio say "Here's some My Chemical Romance," so I turned it up. The Black Parade on the radio. I loved it, so I looked up the band. I got TCFSW, and truthfully, I hated it the first time. sweatdrop All the songs sounded the same, and they were obsessed with death.
Then I decided to listen to it one more time, and then I LOVED it. I don't think I'll ever understand the way my brain works. 3nodding
Anyway, I now have all 3 CDs and love them. I just wish I could understand what they were saying more in their first CD.

so, i'm watching VH1 right, and then their video Helena comes on and i'm like wow! thats an awesome song and then last year when their new album came out i bought it, listened to it, and TOTALLY loved it!
cant wait for their next album!!!!!!!

I saw the video for I'm Not Okay(I promise) on Fuse, because at that point in my life I was trying to be a rebel and not watch MTV. XD
Anyway, I got TCFSR, and I loved it. I was iffy about TBP at first, but it grew on me.

Trocks345 Hehe, just wondering! Everyone has their own story, so lets post them here! To be honest it was 2003 and my mom (who was just getting into new alt.rock) bought their CD THREE CHEERS FOR SWEET REVENGE. I was going through I tough time and was suicidal (I still am, but I'm slowly getting better) and I turned on the player to find out she left it in there. When I first heard it I hated it and turned it off calling it crap, but later that night, after I wrote a suicide note (I had decided to go through with it), "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" turned on. Just like that the music entered my ears and it it me in a place I thought was dead. To this day I don't know how it came on and was on that song, but it made me realize there were people out there that understood how I felt, I just had to find them like how MCR found me. To this day they are my favorite band, and even though I tend to fall back, they're always there to catch me. They're still saving me from myself as they guide my true self out into the open with their music. I guess it's something I'll never forget, MCR and their music will always be held in my heart as the music of honest to god angels.
