Hello all, Just finished my test marines for the storm fists, and I wanted to see what constructive criticism or comments I could get. I don't have all of my paints yet, but I have the basic colours on hand. Paints are vallejo, and these marines are created from spare bits that were undoubtedly going to be thrown in the excess bits bag anyways. most are from either the unused bits of the Rhino or from a dark angels vehicle converter sprue that I had left over. I used the Utra-thin-paints-as-wash Idea that i posted earlier. Is it anything near like a wash? Sorry, picture heavy Design Scheme: http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x243/Bjen_bucket/fdgzdfgdsfgd.jpg Test-marines Photos: http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x243/Bjen_bucket/100_0230-Copy.jpg http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x243/Bjen_bucket/100_0232.jpg http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x243/Bjen_bucket/100_0234-Copy.jpg

XD I like the paint scheme, they look really nice true, but legality>RULE-OF-COOL. also, one of those in his hand isn't a pistol.... thanks on the scheme. was hoping it looked "stormy" enough without having to go all yellow/black or something of the sort. too many chapters using backs/flat blues, and reds in my opinion. neutral (sorry billsabob!)I want to see that eldar scheme and that leviathan regimental HQ tank from earlier now... At least a progress report! 4laugh Also @ billsabob: what do you do to get such a burnished gold?

For the burnished gold, I actually used burnished gold, my friend had burnished gold so I used it, this was before I actually had my own paint or any real painting experience, so I think it turned out well EDIT: Oh, and for your wash question, they sell this stuff at the store I go to, its called wonder wash, liquid shadows, it works wonders, its amazing. Ill post a picture of my sergeant I used it on in a little bit

Pictures on actual models would be better than those paint-helpers IMHO, I don't see how this takes part in asking for advice nor showoff. question

Shinobi_8745 Pictures on actual models would be better than those paint-helpers IMHO, I don't see how this takes part in asking for advice nor showoff. question Well... I guess it helps get your scheme in mind before painting your entire force, and realizing its a bad scheme? But, regardless, I can also see your point, and will edit my post as such. @ lord-Kensington: I say this NOT out of any sort of cruel intent, I just want you to notice that some players may end up nick-naming your chapter "christmas marines". I think it is a balanced scheme, albeit a complex one. I will suggest, however, that you need to find some way to highlight the hands and feet. I used a dark scheme for those, and I had trouble seeing them until I properly highlighted them. Just trying to help with my limited knowledge.

If I may say, Ienor and Lord Kensington, that both of you look ready for a wash! ninja mrgreen By wash I mean paint washes, of course. And, I am assuming you want to go that route too!
