She went and curled up in a chair near Franco. As usual, her right hand rested on the knife and she stared out over the blinking lights of the Strip.

"No, I'm not part owner. I own nothing back in Geezerville....Psy made me co-manager of MW, but I don't own any part of it. Hell, she even gave me the car I'm driving...so I guess you could say that I own it. The only things I own back in Geezerville are pretty much my personal belongings like my clothes and my weapons, because Psy furnished my quarters for me."

She looked over the city, not at all feeling safe out in the open the way she was, and fidgeted in her chair as she kept scanning for some unseen enemy.

Franco stalled, serious for once.

Yous wrong.. yous family..

Franco didn't look at her.

Yous tries too hard gattina.

She turned and looked at Franco, a stunned expression on her face.

"Family?" She gave a brittle laugh, "And just HOW am I family Franco? And what am I trying to hard to do? Why don't you explain that to me, Mr. All Knowing? rolleyes "

Franco gets up, he's done talking. And exits the balcony and walk straight out the doors to the penthouse. The goons take back their stations, unchanged.

She sighed after Franco left and got up to go back into the penthouse. She paced around the interior of the penthouse, checking and doublechecking to make sure that she was the only occupant, save for the goons, there. Once she had gone around a few times, the goon by the door watching her warily, she disappeared into the bedroom and closed the door behind her.

*it takes a good long while, but eventually Vassnta answers the door, seeming a bit crestfallen when he hears Kits say "trick or treat" since Miro went and got rid of what was left of the nudy magazines. crying He's about to apologize to the neko girl for the lack of supply, but then he suddenly gets a brilliant idea! He tells her to wait a few moments longer and disappears into the apartment. He later emerges with a big grin on his face and drops a picture he had just taken of himself naked into her bucket* ^_^

She was tired of the penthouse. Franco was barely around and she was suspicious of the goons constantly babysitting her. She felt the walls closing in on her much like they had back in Geezerville and she needed to get away. The only problem would be getting down from the penthouse.

She was alone, with the lone goon guarding the door and watching her warily every time she moved. She had a sudden idea, and went into the bedroom and closed the door. After waiting for a couple of minutes, she came back out and strode purposefully to the man guarding her exit to freedom.

"I need to go buy something. Take me downstairs, now."

The beefy man looked at her and snorted. "I don' think so, Bella...Franco would have my hide if I let yous out of 'ere."

She huffed and fidgeted a bit. "Look...I really don't think you or one of your cohorts want to go buy me some, um, feminine supplies...so why don't you just escort me downstairs, and we can come right back? " She gave him a pleading smile.

He stood there and studied her for a moment and then shrugged his shoulders. "Fine, Bella...I don't know why Franco has yous guarded 24/7 anyways...let's go, but yous ain't gonna take forever, capisce?"

She gave him what she hoped passed for a grateful smile and nodded.

"Of course, right downstairs and right back up. No problem. "

The goon unlocked the door and escorted her onto the elevator, using his key to have the elevator go down to the bottom floor to the lobby.

Once they were downstairs, she went to the hotel store and bought the unnecessary supplies. Once she exited, she headed to the nearest ladies room, and the goon stopped her before she could slip inside.

"Where do you think yous goin', Bella?" He frowned at her as she looked up at him with a perfectly innocent look on her face.

"Um...considering what I just bought...what do you THINK I'm going to do in the restroom? rolleyes "

He let go of her arm and leaned against the wall. "Fine, yous got 3 minutes...make it snappy."

She rolled her eyes at him and disappeared inside the ladies room. Once inside, she went to the outer sitting area and feigned crying. A young woman came out and asked her what was wrong, and she sniffled and spun a tale of a man following her that she couldn't get to understand that no meant NO. The stranger commiserated with her and the two ladies "bonded" over what jerks men could be. She looked at the woman and asked her if she would distract the man so she could slip away, and handed her a large bill to make it worth her while.

The young woman, tipsy from being in the casino bar all day, was more than amenable to helping her, and after receiving a quick description of the man, gave Kat a hug, tucked the bill into her top and headed out the door to flirt with the goon.

Once the woman was gone, she went to the sink and made sure her makeup was immaculate. She checked her reflection and made sure the knife was secure up under her short skirt. She double checked to make sure it wasn't visible before heading to the restroom door.

Sure enough, the woman had distracted the goon and he had his back to the door. Kat gave her a wink and a thumbs up sign before heading out the front of the casino and headed out onto the sidewalk of the Strip, headed to nowhere in particular.

She wandered up the Strip, going in and out of the various casinos until she was tired from walking. She went into one of the larger casinos at the north end of the Strip and procured a room, having at least had the foresight to keep her wallet with her during her wanderings the past couple of weeks.

When inquired of her luggage, she gave the clerk a look and took her key. stare She made her way to the elevator and went up to her room. Once safely inside, she locked all the locks on the door, and double checked the locks on the balcony before undressing and getting into bed, her knife tucked safely under her pillow with her hand resting on it.
