Akihiko rolled his eyes, "Very funny. But yes I've never met the boy. Probably a good idea too... until recently I probably wouldn't have looked twice at the kid. The only reason I know how Yuuji lives is because I asked him once why he didn't have a huge house and five or six cars and he told me flat out that he'd seen what money did to people." the musician shrugged. "I don't think his way of life is a bad idea or anything. I was just always curious. If Ko is Hideo though..." at this, Narcissus' voice fell. "Look we both know Hideo was kidnapped and had been used as a hostage, ne? I'm pretty certain it's by SMASH people too. If Shou's got the boy... well that just makes sense. Doesn't mean Shou's an enemy, perse... but it does mean I need to be a bit warier than normal. If you were a little kid, ripped from your parents, and you were never saved by them... would YOU be wanting to go back? Or would you think they abandoned you?" the young Koyasu shook his head. "To Hideo, his parents could be dead. He doesn't know. BUT... I'm going to have some pictures on display when they visit. Some of Yuuji specifically. Of course ojisan too because I'm rather certain Hideo's met him... and... well a couple others." he smiled, remembering the present from Crystal Ishi. The photo of himself and Yuriko at Christmas as children... it was perhaps Akihiko's most treasured possession... so of course he'd have it on display. It just needed the right frame. He had a few pictures of himself and Yuuji as kids... in high school... and even a wedding photo. A wedding which Akihiko hadn't exactly been invited to, but the picture had been given to him by his grandfather. More than likely as a reminder that hey... he COULD get married one day...
Diving back into the topic, Akihiko nodded. "Yeah, just do what you were practicing. You've already got that in mind anyway. Easier than learning a new routine. I suppose Nikki will need to fit you and Izzy when he gets here too... hmmm..." but then said manager walked into the room and there was a certain lightening of Narcissus's eyes as he saw the megane-clad man.
"Yare yare, Ruki... and here I already made you coffee. Your breakfast is in the microwave... oranges slices next to it. You might want to warm up the eggs and toast first though." Akihiko smirked slightly, amused by the two cups of coffee. "Glad they're in a charitable mood... is something wrong? Getting butterflies?" he asked, trying to figure out why Izzy didn't seem all that happy right now.

"Yeah well if he is Hideo, I hope you'll look twice at him now. Maybe even be a part of his life." Michi said as he listened further to the conversation and frowned, "Yeah, I can't say if Shou would be the enemy but Ko did just show up out of thin air. But Shou doesn't even seem the type to 'be' a partner. I mean come on. You and I both know he's way out there; not quite all there."
Then he paused and set down his cup, "You're right. If something really bad happened then maybe I wouldn't want to go back. Especially if I thought I were abandoned or dead. That would be a nightmare. And Shou's vision of the world to a small child would be really amazing especially after being kidnapped and from living in a common life before. Who wouldn't want an Uncle like that?"
But then he thought about things a little more, "Don't have too many photos up. If he's been traumatized you might freak him out. If he's really felt abandoned or thinks his parents are dead then you'll want to slowly reveal things. Trust has to be earned first. If he's musically talented and realizes you're related to him, he might take to you because you're talented too. The boy I saw on tv with Shou seemed nervous until that question and then spoke with complete confidence. So my thought is that the boy is very confident in his abilities. My guess is that Shou is a big supporter of Ko's musical talent and probably as talented as Shou is there is a strong dynamic between the two."
Michi's years of schooling were helping out here as he tried to figure out positive ways to confront the child."You may not want to have Yuuji step in too quick. Until we know how Ko's thoughts are really working. If music is Ko's security right now then you've got to be able to play to that strength first and get him to open up to you. Then you can start introducing other things. Yeah, eventually you've got to introduce Yuuji somehow but knowing what you're up against first is the priority."
"Ok then I'll practice my butt off and hopefully I can do this live without messing up. You know this will be my first live performance...right?" he laughed and even for knowing this Michi was still pretty easy going about it all. He wasn't a basket case or fretting. It was something that was going to happen and he hoped he could do well but he didn't have extreme expectations like others might.
"Oh man...well I thought I'd wear some of the clothes you got me from LA. I mean seriously. My style isn't way out there. It's more down to earth." he laughed as Akihiko talked about Nikki. "But maybe he should do my hair and make sure all those clothes fit ok."

"Oh...thanks." he said and then looked around and got up to turn on the microwave. He looked down at the oranges and picked up a slice and popped it into his mouth before answering Akihiko's question.
I just got a message from Shou. It was some time last night about 2 am. He told me that he was on a helicopter flying back to Tokyo because something worse than paparazzi happened on his trip. He didn't give me any details but told me that Ko was safe. So I'm worried. I sent him a text back but haven't gotten a response." said Izzy as the buzzer beeped on the microwave.
Michi looked up and his brow furrowed. "Well I know he's ok because I saw him on TV really early live with Ko-kun. So they are ok from what I can tell."

"Oh I don't intend to point out the pictures. But they'll be there... just in case the boy happens to glance at them. Though... there is one I plan on showing to Shou. I mean, he shared a Christmas photo with us. It's only proper I return the favor." Akihiko replied with a smile, fully intending to show him the image of himself and Yuriko.
Of course Michi had a point. Overwhelming the boy would be bad. But if the images were there and he didn't act like it was something strange... perhaps it would make the child question things.
"I intend to play piano with Ko-kun though. I want to see his skill. Prodigies have to stick together, ne?" he teased before suddenly distracted by Izzy's comment. "Huh? Worse than paparazzi?" any humor was gone from the young tiger's voice. "Stalkers are about the only thing worse I can think of... I hope nothing too bad happened... you should text Shou again and see if he'll come over tomorrow night with Ko for a dinner of pancakes... because you're worried about him, of course." Narcissus added as he sipped his coffee. "Oh and Michi-kun brought up an interesting question to me earlier... what song are you intending to sing for the three clubs, Ruki?"

"Well just be careful. God knows how sensitive he might be. We don't need to make things worse." said Michi as he also decided he needed more coffee and got himself a refill.
"So you think he's a prodigy? Did Yuuji ever mention his talents at all?" But then Michi was distracted by Izzy's comment for a moment.

Izzy sighed, "I know. I hope it's only a stalker but Shou hasn't text me back yet about it and he's usually prompt. But maybe if he was just recently on TV, he's taking a breather. Umm...mmm...I suppose I could ask him." Izzy responded as he set down his spoon and started to text Shou again.
Why don't you come over tomorrow night and bring Ko-kun. I worry about you. We can make...pancakes. You have to come over before the goodies we bought spoil. 6pm good?
This time an answer came: 6pm...We can do. After tomorrow night, I'll be swamped. Ah but wait...I've so many bodyguards right now. I'm not sure how this is going to work.
Izzy looked up and over at Akihiko then passed him the phone with the message. "So what do I tell him?"

Akihiko hijacked the phone and sent his own text.
'Your bodyguards can wait outside and guard my house. They'll still be doing their job and you'll be getting a break from constant guard hovering. I promised Ko-kun pancakes and I'm going to deliver on that promise. There's cake too! Someone besides Ruki and I have to eat this birthday cake of his...
He sent that to Shou then handed Izzy the phone back. "I guess he thinks I'll be inconvenienced with guards walking around my grounds. As if. I'd rather that than hidden cameras in my ceiling and vents and wherever else Yuuji stuck'em."

Nakai didn't say anything for a minute. Then... "So in other words... I'm not as important anymore so I've been handed to the next man on the totem pole. Nice. Real nice. I don't think it's Chiyou being in a good mood that you should worry about. Five hours. We'll be there." promptly, without even a goodbye, Kai hung up.
And then threw his phone into a pile of clothes on the other side of the room. "b*****d... Just because he makes more money than I do and he has more fans... Narcissus always takes precedent!" falling back on the bed, the guitarist was frustrated.
Not so much that Izzy wasn't his manager anymore... even though he really REALLY liked the guy. He was a damn good manager and maybe an even better friend... but because once again, in his rivalry with Narcissus... the golden child of Ohayou won out...
"Maybe if I play the spoiled diva, Izzy'd fawn over me too, ne?" he asked Chiyou as the 'kid' grumbled about in his own way over their stunted vacation.

kawaita tsumori ame ga tsuzunaku katari kakeru namida wa seijaku ni...samayou yoru ga akeruNezumi just shook his head and sighed as Nakai snapped at him and hung up. The guitarist didn't understand. It wasn't about him! This hadn't been Izzy Lucky's decision. It just...was. For now. Chiyou was awake, now, much to his own chagrin. He'd planned to sleep the day away curled up against his teddy-blond. "What did Nezumi say?" the kid asked, slipping out of the bed in only his boxers. Obviously, Kai was pretty upset. What did him being in a good mood have to do with anything, anyway? And Narcissus? Despite not knowing what was up, the young vocalist's head whipped around when he heard what his lover had to say about Ishi Ruki. Silvery eyes went grey as a storm cloud, narrowing dangerously. Kai could be mad all he liked over anything he liked, but Chiba Hideki was not going to have any bad talk about the man who pretty much raised him going on in his presence. "I don't know what happened, but I think you must have misunderstood..." the boy spoke in a low tone. He may as well have been rattling like a rattlesnake and holding up red flashing warning signals. Chi was a very laid back, anything goes kind of person...but on this one issue, Higuri Kai had better tread carefully. karada o tsutau ame ni furueru awai omoi guren no yuuwaku ni...samayou yoru ga akeru

Ninja or Hamu...You decide! Dirty Little Secrets------------------------------------------------}:- Yamada Haru It's the Devil in the Details... ......What a tangled web we weave......
It was after Izzy's second text that Haru confronted Shou and told him the news about Jun's death privately at his estate after Ko was put down for a real nap. Haru was tired but knew that he if he didn't talk to Shou first, Naoko or Ryuukaze would and that probably would have been worse in many ways.
For a long moment, Shou said nothing but tears started streaming down his face as Sai took his place and cried. Haru reached over and held the man close as Sai asked for all the information one step at a time. Haru had a sinking feeling that this would happen and tried to give the details in bite sized pieces.
After he was said and done he finished by saying, "It's not your fault, Oumori Sai.. Remember that. I know you loved him. I'm sure that Shou cared about him but there is nothing that you could do about his heart giving out."
"I know" he sputtered and sniffled, "But we didn't even get time to work things out. I wanted to work things out. But even I couldn't jump back into a relationship as if nothing had happened." he started bawling again and brought his fists down on Haru's chest.
Haru winced feeling the bruise take the hit. "Ngh...Oumori-san. Careful."
Sai sucked in air apologizing then leaned his head in and just held on to Haru smearing Shou's makeup everywhere on the man's black shirt. And there Haru stood holding the blond wondering how long it would take for all this to release.
Haru wasn't sure about Shou's opinion but Sai's was fairly clear. He had expected that since the feelings for Jun had been from the original identity. Shou was sometimes more difficult to read because his feelings didn't always reflect Sai's opinions.
By the time the tears had run out, Sai was quiet. As he held Sai, Haru pondered in the back of his head how You was doing being left at home alone while he had to go on and tend to these matters. Then he drew in a deep breath and pushed Sai way far enough to look into his eyes, "Look, Oumori-san, There will be a funeral so you probably can attend that and say your good byes. I was told he didn't have family but I'm sure you and the band and some of Smash's people will be in attendance. I know this is rather a rough thing to say but you'll have to be very Japanese then and take it without tears and do the proper ceremony if you're there and not Shou-sama."
"Also...Naoko-kun didn't seem to take things to well from what I saw so you'll have to be strong for him." Haru pointed out hoping that would kickstart the stronger parts of Sai.
It seemed to work and Sai wiped his eyes, "Naoko...yes...Naoko...I'll be strong. I can't have him seeing me like this. Thank you Yamada-san for telling me...us. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"You're welcome, Oumori-san. I do have your best interest in mind but I honestly don't think you should tell Ko-kun right away. Maybe later when he's a little older. I mean he just met Hayato-san for a couple of days so he can't be too attached to the man. And I don't think the boy needs additional trauma." said Haru as he left Sai just long enough to get several tissues and started wiping his face.
"No...I won't tell Ko. Make sure Shou won't not right now." Sai took a kleenex and blew his nose. "You know I always hoped that things would work out...Naoko would finally see something better in Jun and I could forgive myself for falling for the man after he had hurt...my brother. I was an idiot wasn't I?"
"Mmm...maybe at first but I think Hayato-san was trying to become a better man. I can't say you made the best of choices Oumori-san but you have to one day learn to live with the choices you made. However, now that he's gone, maybe you can start healing too." said Haru softly as he threw away the kleenex.
He didn't add anything of how Naoko could use his big brother around more often because he knew that Naoko needed more help than his big brother could provide. That part was something Naoko and Ryu had to figure out. Mainly Naoko but Ryu still loved the man. Although Haru didn't know how extreme Naoko's problems really were.
Haru sat down beside Sai and put his arm over the man's shoulder. "I know you're a strong person. I see it every day in Shou. He's is your reflection and one day, I hope you'll capture that reflection and embrace it as your own. But until then, Oumori-san, I'm here for you as you've been for me as I seek the truth in the darkness. You'll be ok. I'm sure of that."
Sai nodded slowly and at this moment he was thankful of the day that he and Haru's past had crossed. Two men with converging worlds that had different goals at the time but essentially needing a similar path. One to protect a brother he couldn't touch, the other to find the truth....that had sent a young man's world into flames.
"Thank you Yamada-san." said Sai softly. What more could he do? He couldn't salvage Jun or there relationship. Time would move on...time always moved on. But he could say good bye..at least he could do that right.

The answer didn't come back immediately afterwards. In fact the text was slow to arrive but when it finally came it said: We will be there. Ko could use some fun. And I need something to cheer me up. I know text isn't the great means of talking about things but right now I'm a little emotional. I'm not telling Ko this....But Jun passed away from a heart attack last night.
Izzy looked at the message for a long time, and then passed the text to Michi and Akihiko. "Maybe I should go over there? Or do you think waiting until tomorrow is a better idea? I'm worried about him." Izzy started to fidget with his own indecision as he moved the food around on his plate with a fork not really eating it but more so in deep thought.
Michi frowned as he read the text, "Mm...we will really have to be careful if they come over here tomorrow."

Akihiko tapped his lip. "Well, you said you were going to get the Mercedes cleaned so... why not take it and then go to Shou's for a while? I can handle Nikki and I'm SURE he knows your size. We can use Michi for a model and send you pictures of various clothes, then Shou can help you pick something out." the musician spoke calmly, a soft smile on his lips.
Hayato hadn't been so bad... he'd gone with him to keep the young tiger from making a dangerous choice alone after all...
"I won't need you til tomorrow, Ruki. You'll have to be at the interview. Who knows, maybe Shou can help you get centered for all this better than I can right now? After the interview I've got to do some vocal recordings... looks like karaoke's canceled for tonight though, Michi-kun." he added, handing the phone back to Izzy. "Plus, you can find out what happened up north. I don't want you playing the part of worried mother hen on me all day." the musician teased.
Sure, Akihiko was jealous of the relationship between Shou and Izzy, but he wasn't about to tell his partner no. Shou needed the megane-clad man... and Ruki needed the peacock's confidence it seemed.
Narcissus would be there at the end of the day. Izzy would come back to him. He had faith in that.

Amber eyes narrowed in response. "No, I didn't misunderstand. Izzy's not my manager anymore. He was assigned to me, than that... that b*****d with a girl's face had to go and practically order Izzy to be HIS manager! Since then I've been playing second fiddle of Ohayou's god and I'm sick of it." sighing in anger Nakai sat up, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "If Naoko hadn't ******** you up I might consider jumping ship to SMASH. Least they might not play musical managers on me!"
It was obvious that Kai was angry... he felt like his music just didn't matter to anyone anymore. Not the company... not Izzy... hell maybe not even his own fans, if he had very many.
Instead of working he'd been playing nursemaid to Chiyou for the last month and, while he was glad to be at the 'kid's' side, he was itching to get back to work. Then, when he was actually needed... it wasn't by the people who he thought it would be.
"Izzy's too busy with Narcissus to give a damn about my guitar anymore I guess. And here I'd thought Izzy was a good friend and a nice guy... guess it's only til he can be distracted by a prettier face..." standing from the bed, Nakai pushed past Chiyou and headed into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him.

Izzy slid out his chair and smiled, "Thank you." he said to Akihiko because he knew the man was a jealous sort. "I'll get the car cleaned and head over to his place. I'll call if something comes up."
"I'll definitely be back for the interview tomorrow. I'll have my phone if you need to send me stuff." he said as he picked up his plate then decided to quickly scarf down the contents of it with his fork rather than throw it away. He had no idea when he'd be eating next.
Michi watched the manager eat so fast that he couldn't find words for that. Was Ishi-san always like this? Maybe so because he rarely ate right anyway.
Izzy nodded a little as he put the plate in the sink, "Maybe he can help me get ready to sing. I hope I mean I'm not sure how upset he's going to be when I get there. I need to practice with Yammi-san but..Ugh...My music is in my room. You can get it from my bag to give to Yammi-san." Izzy took the phone and pocketed it quickly then smiled at Akihiko. He would have kissed him but Michi was sitting right there.
"I'll be back soon. Wait! I'm not a mother hen! Michi, you make sure he doesn't over exert himself while I'm gone!" he said as he turned away and hurried out.
Michi paused and looked at the door Izzy just left out of then turned and looked at Akihiko, "So does that mean I'm suppose to mother hen you instead??"

'You know, one of these days you need to learn to roll your own damn cigarettes.' 'Why? I'm your pianist. You're stuck with me. The band's as much mine as it is yours. Unless you're thinking of leaving us.' 'Nope... not yours solely yet, kitten. But you know, I was thinking we needed something a little fresher for the stage. Maybe some sexy dancers or...' 'Men or women?' 'Heh... which would YOU prefer.' 'I think you know which I'd rather stare at... but women wouldn't distract me from the keys at least.' 'Probably make the fans happier too... those girls are supposed to be looking at our bodies, not those of our dancers.' 'Same goes for the guys who don't find the girls so... appealing, ne?' 'Damn straight.' 'So...' 'So...' '...' 'Was it good? Last night I mean?' 'Best I've had in a long time.' 'Better than your brother?' 'Watch it. Your good but you're no Sai.' 'Hahahaha true enough... then again... it's not quite as forbidden when you and I do it...' '...' 'You're blushing, kitten.' 'No I'm not. 'Yeah... you are...' 'FIVE MINUTES TIL STAGE TIME!' 'Better stop blushing or the fans will wonder what's up.' 'It's your own fault, baka... 'Yeah, I know. 'Wait, you're not going to wait for me to finish this smoke?' 'Naw, you'll be along on time. You don't need me to babysit you.' 'Hayato-kun...' 'Take your time, kitten. No rush.' 'Hayato-kun... Hayato-kun! HAYATO-KUN!'
Amber eyes snapped open as pale lips screamed out that name from his dreams. Breathing hard, Naoko blinked, wide-eyed, his entire body shivering. For a moment he didn't do anything... had no idea where he was... who was with him... Lithe hands gripped his shoulders, the blond hugging himself tightly as his body trembled... "Ha... Hayato... kun..." Unbidden came the tears, amber eyes open as they ran down his cheeks. Naoko didn't make a sound as he cried... just sat there... hugging himself... in... bed? The fact that he was at Ryu's place... in his akuma's bed even, didn't register with the pianist. Only the face of a true demon... that had vanished into the darkness just when an angelic light had seemed to surround his once wicked aura.

kawaita tsumori ame ga tsuzunaku katari kakeru namida wa seijaku ni...samayou yoru ga akeruOh...that was harsh! Hideki's breath caught in his chest as Nakai flung such a god-awful statement at him. What exactly was the older man saying? That the only reason he was sticking around was because Chiyou was weak and damaged? Was it only because the guitarist would feel guilty for abandoning him for the company of the man who'd done this to him? If that were the case...then what exactly did this make them? Lovers? Friends? Or was Kai only there because he felt stuck? Could it be that the only relationship between the two of them was one built on guilt and misunderstandings? All of the anger and frustration that Nakai vented only served to cast a shadow of doubt and a cloud of hurt feelings over the young vocalist. Why did it bother the guitarist so bad? These things happened... Was it possible that Higuri had feelings for Ruki? What was this concern so suddenly about Narcissus and his looks, and how Ishi doted on Akihiko and not Nakai? It seemed there was definitely some jealousy there. As his "lover" brushed past, Chiyou was unbalanced and had to stumble to catch himself. With Kai locked in the bathroom, Hideki clenched his fists and took multiple deep breaths. Getting bent out of shape wasn't going to solve anything right now. He couldn't help that he was angry, though. The thing was...Chiyou wasn't exactly sure why he was angry. Part of him had been miffed that Kai had spoken ill of his "papa"...but, when he really let himself think about it, he was honestly just as angry that Kai had been made to feel slighted. Silently, the young blond padded over to the bed and sat down again, pulling his fingers through his messy hair. Calmly, he sorted through his feelings. Feeling around on the night stand, Hideki found his phone and pressed one button, activating the voice dial feature. "Ishi Ruki." he commanded, and the phone began to dial. karada o tsutau ame ni furueru awai omoi guren no yuuwaku ni...samayou yoru ga akeru

Silently, Ryuukaze sat in a chair in the corner of his room with the blinds drawn and the lights off. It was pitch black where he sat...but he liked it that way, at the moment. Quiet. Dark. Peaceful. At least...it had been, until he heard Naoko beginning to stir. For a moment, the violinist was on edge, not sure what to expect from the pianist. Things could go in any direction, after all. Hayato-kun...Ryu mouthed the name to himself, feeling the weight of it and all the things it used to mean. That name...it was a dishonor to the man that had passed away. Hayato was a being of pain, suffering, and regrets. The person they'd lost, the one they mourned was Jun. Slowly, the akuma rose from his seat and began to make his way to the bed with quiet, measured footsteps. "I am sorry my love. He is gone." the vocalist whispered, now standing at the edge of the bed, right beside the pianist. Patiently, he waited, to see how Naoko was, how he would react. Whatever the blond needed, he would give. This was a sad time for all of them, after all. ~( I’m here )~ Soba ni iru wa~ ~( Believe me ) Osorenai de~ ~Shinjiau koto....~ ~FOR YOU~
