Jaster sighed
"its cool. Too many people believe I was adopted and that she's not my mum but when you look at my nobody, you can defiantly tell the similarities. Hehe, I was pretty much raised here at the academy. It was a....interesting yet boring life so far. I know its gonna get interesting though."

"I didn't believe in any of it until I got here." She said, thumbing through the book. "How about letting me hear you read?"

Kurona took the spoon and scooped up more gelato. "Still, no need to go on the defensive. My thing is to let the past be the past, y'know? So what, mum died when I was younger. Jaecen raised me and I'm completely fine. Sort of."

Jaster sighed
"Grandparents were psycho murderers who raised mom to be a serial killer and then disowned her and tried to do the same to auntie Rose until mom killed her parents and raised auntie, kinda....and me at the same time."

Kurona shook her head and slammed her spoon on the table. Nami jumped as the spoon hit the table. "Okay! That's fun and all but, let's knock back on the depressing stuff."

"Aunt Kurona, are you okay?" She asked.
Kurona held her head. "Uh, yeah. S'just, Jaecen knows how I feel about depressing stuff. And I refuse to take any medicine for it."
"I'm sorry, I don't quite understand." She tilted her head slightly.
"I suffer from depression, kid. It flicks on and off at the most inopportune moments, which is why depressing stuff is something I try to keep down." Kurona explained. "It's easier when you've got someone who understands, like my big brother."

Jaster sighs and then takes out his pocket watch and opens it. Then he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small bag of munny, he closes his pocket watch.
"im sorry. Its easier to dwell on bad things then the good things. Here is a good thing, you have a loving family." he smiled and then walked up to a candy dispenser and came back with 5 bars of chocolate.

"here, you each can have one" he smiled

X looked up at Jaster
"is that...candy?"

She picked up the bowl of gelato in one hand. "Nah, Mr. Freezy's got me covered."
"Aren't you afraid what it will do? You shouldn't really eat unhealthily." Nami tried to reason.
"Kid, please. Life is life. I'm gonna enjoy as much gelato as I can." Kurona took the spoon and put another scoop in her mouth.
Nami accepted the candy. "Thanks, I guess."

X took the chocolate bar as soon as Nami did and took a big bite out of it. Her hair started to stand up on its own by static electricity.

Jaster watched X.
"No wonder no one gives her sweets, kids get hyper then sugar crash. I guess with her, her magic goes a bit nuts and...well....there we go, hair standing up."

Kurona chuckled. "It's even worse since Nami's a water and wind magic user. Her and thunder, bad mix."
"How d'you know? I didn't know I was even capable of using magic." Nami tried to flatten her hair.
"It's my gift. I can often sense what people's elemental proficiencies are. Usually it's off by a hair but every now and then it works." Kurona explained a bit.

X calmed down and sugar crashed, hard. All of the electricity in her body disappeared. She leaned against Nami

Nami let X rest her head against her. She pet X's head and smiled. Kurona watched on with interest. My family sort of suffers from Hyperactive disorder. Certain things set us off but not everything sweet does the trick."

She took a sip of her root beer. "Yeah, tell your future girlfriend about the dark magic. Might be a turn off."
"Are you okay?" Nami asked her worriedly.
"Yeah, I'm a hundred percent. Turns out *hic* when I took up some of Hephaestus' magic, it required me to have an object that I get drunk off of. The Greek Gods suck sometimes." She slurred. "Surprise, gelato was what I needed right now."

Jaster sighed and leaned back too much and fell out from the seat. He quietly got back up and sat back down.

"yeah, or to really any girl that I try to be friends with. I had a girlfriend and the last time I saw her, she had a child and...well....." he sighed
"I think she grew up without me. I still love her but....well....can't stop me from trying to get any girl to have a friendly dinner with me."

Kurona waved the spoon around, drunkenly but still in control. "I used to date but there's not enough money in the world for me to even find the right guy anymore."
Nami became increasingly worried. "Aunt Kurona, are you sure you're okay?"
Hmm? Oh, yeah. I'm fine." She chuckled.
