XXXKeeping her hands clasped together, Michiko did her best to be mindful of her situation. Even so, it was difficult for the young girl to not feel tempted to fiddle with her glove. As a musician she was taught to be patient from a young age up but patience means nothing when it comes to the nerves. Its funny really, Michiko is able to perform songs in front of a huge crowd without problem. She's even able to face the stern looks of her music examiners without breaking a sweat and yet, here she stands before one man, and she breaks out in nerves. 'But if I think about it...I am in front of the man who rules us all...it shouldn't be too strange to be a little bit nervous right...?' The few minutes it took for the Kage to look over her approval scroll seemed as long as her violin recital. 'Everything should check out though...I made sure to question sensei to the very last bit regarding this...' Body instantly relaxing when the Yukikage spoke up again, Michiko couldn't release a wide grin when a headband was presented to her and he gave her a congratulatory speech and overview of her responsibilities. Waiting till he finished to make her way over to the desk to grab the headband with a low bow.

No sooner had she retreated did the man spoke up once more. This time in a more serious tone then before. Listening attentively, Michiko took in every detail and understanding the crisis that Yukigakure was in right now, knew that she had to quickly do all she could to aid her village. After all, this was the reason she choice this path. Well, that and to learn to control her kekkei genkai but that can come later. What Michiko really wants is to excel in her performance and become a great shinobi like her mother. Once she's given all she can to the village, Michiko hopes to pass on her music to a deciple or two. For a twelve year old, Michiko surprisingly already has most of her life goals and dreams written out. The only challenge was seeing them through.

Taking a moment to carefully debate over her options, Michiko really felt keen on doing what she can to assist the village first before focusing on herself. She spent enough time on her studies at the academy. Now, it was time to go out and help. If anything, she could just work overtime in terms of training. For now, the village came first...well second since music will always hold onto the seat of priority.
"If its alright with you Yukikage-dono, I would very much prefer to start off with some missions. I find my creativity sparks when I'm out doing something active." Voice still soft, Michiko would keep her gaze directed at the man for respect while maintain a good performance posture. Head held high, body straight, loose shoulders and and feet spread apart ever so slightly.

So far, aside from a hiccup or two here and there amongst some genin, there were ones who showed promise. Polite, respectful, and in this case, ready to serve. Nodding his head at the other's decision, the male opened a desk drawer to his left where he kept missions on hand. As he reached for the D-rank missions, a thought occurred to him. "Tenkei... Tenkei... ah yes, that is a clan name. The Tenkei clan are musicians and have been said to produce devastation through singing. You specialize using a musical instrument of some sort and I believe you're either skilled in Ninjutsu or Genjutsu... possibly leaning more towards the latter." That seemed the most logical to him, of course he would be sure to look over her file when he had the chance.

Pulling out three files, he set them in a neat stack on his desk before opening the first one "These missions are meant for genin, considered to be menial tasks. I see them as an opportunity to show the village's civilians that our shinobi are active and ready to serve. First and most importantly, clean up the trash on the streets (Dragon's Pass), we need the village to look it's best. Second, the owner of the hot springs needs help to clean them. We can't have people bathing in dirty water. Finally, a Mister Koga has lost his pocket watch near the river and can't find it. It's silver, on a chain, with his family name engraved upon it. Find it and bring it to him, he'll be at his home in the residential area just outside the village (Spring Generator)." He of course gave her the address of the man's home so she would not waste time searching.

"I'll start you off with that much. Once you are finished, report back to me and I'll give you what you are owed. After which, you may either ask for more missions or be off to train. Dismissed."

XXXAs she excitedly awaited a response from her kage, Michiko watched happily as he began to pull open a desk drawer as to retrieve what she hoped to be mission documents. While the kage reached for whatever files the drawer might hold, he began to speak his thoughts out loud and Michiko smiled a shyly as truth of her heritage came through to the Yukikage's mind. It was to be expected though as Michiko changed her last name to suit her clan name. Her mother took it as a way for Michiko to embrace her scared linage. A linage that overlooked her but carried through to her child. Merely nodding her head at the Yukikage's correct speculations, Michiko was impressed with how quickly he was able to piece everything together. 'As should be expected of something of his standing, quite impressive. Took mom a good year before she could get her hands on information regarding my special blood.'

Snapping out of her thoughts instantly as her kage began to speak once more, Michiko made short mental notes about each mission and their various locations and important details. For someone with a high musical background such as hers, memorizing such basic details was an easy feat. Compared to the number of music scores she had to memorize for recitals and exams, this was all a piece of cake. Holding onto her smile and attentive posture, Michiko took in his last statement and once more nodded her head in response. Catching the dismissal in her kage's tone, Michiki decided that she best be on her way. Clasping her hands together once more over her legs, Michiko gave the Yukikage a low respectful bow.
"Thank you for your time. I'll be sure to complete these missions promptly and diligently. Enjoy your day." With her farewell complete, Michiko raised back up to her full 4ft, 5inch, height. Flashing the Yukikage once last grateful smile, Michiko turned on her heels and promptly exited the office. Once out, Michiko made sure to close the door behind her as to leave Keiji with his space. Tying the headband around her neck, Michiko made sure that it wasn't too tight nor too lose before making her way down the long flight of stairs to the bottom of the tower.

~ Keiji Chiba ~ Seer of the North ~ Yukigakure ~ Yukikage (Konin) ~ Genjutsu/Sensor ~

Chakra Pool: 710 ~ AC: ? ~ Ryo: ?

Nodding his head, he watched Michiko leave and close the door before he stood up from his desk. He'd trained plenty of his genjutsu, now it was time to get to work on his taijutsu. After all, genjutsu would only carry him so far, if it came down to it, he had to defend himself in hand to hand combat. First up was stage one of Sazanami, the first technique was known as Footing One.

[Post 1/2]

Footing one was quite easy, all he had to do was get in a certain stance. The stances in Sazanami were to help provide stability in battle so that an opponent would not easily throw one off their feet. Standing in front of his desk, Keiji stood casually and placed his feet a small distance from each other. It did not seem like much but he had improved his stability greater than one who was not in the stance.

[Post 2/2 Learned Footing One]

The next technique would be quite vital, a move that was known as Parry. Obviously the technique was meant to be used to slightly redirect an attack, enough so that it would miss and he would be able to set up for a counter attack. Taijutsu was not much his forte' but the male had enough strength to be able to effectively use a style such as Sazanami.

[Post 1/2]

Imaging an opponent before him, Keiji prepared himself to counter a punch sent straight for his chest. Stepping and using his left hand, he deflected the incoming blow so that it would miss him. Then afterwards, he merely sent a straight punch in return to his opponent's chest that would certainly harm him. So far so good, then again this was stage one, it would be the easiest of the taijutsu to practice while he was confined to his office.

[Post 2/2 Learned Parry]

Next was stage two, there were only two techniques to practice in this stage but each would be important. All stages would help build a foundation and make him stronger of course. It would help him to counter an opponent's attacks, flowing like water as he set the opponent up to take damage. It was a style that did not require brute force, which he did not really have much of being a genjutsu user. First up was the second footing, Horse Stance.

[Post 1/4]

The idea behind the Horse Stance was that it was a stance used more for training. After all, the stance required that he place his feet shoulder length apart and then bend at the knees. Obviously such a stance would not allow for him to move quickly enough. Yet it was a stance low enough that it would help strength the muscles in the legs, specifically, his thighs. Since it was on his list of retraining, he sank down into the desired stance and stayed there.

[Post 2/4]

It was certainly a lot of work for a mere training stance yet Keiji stuck to it. He had to make sure that all of his techniques were up to par on the off chance that he had to participate in a fight. Sure this may have been better suited to the dojo, but for now he could not leave his office. He had at least one genin out in the village working hard to complete her missions. Plus there may have been other graduates on their way to his office, he had to stay put.

[Post 3/4]

Having stuck to his stance for a short time, Keiji had made sure to check himself over so that his stance was as perfect as it could be. Having been satisfied with his stance, the male stayed in it for a little while longer, even as he began to feel that pleasant, work out burn in his thighs. When he was finally satisfied that his stance was down, the male stood up and gave his legs a small shake so that he could practice his next technique.

[Post 4/4 Learned Footing Two: Horse Stance]

The next technique to learn was known as Bell Ring. Of course the male had already mastered the technique before but it could not hurt to practice the movement and controlled involved. The idea behind the attack was to be able to touch the outside of the bell. Without moving the shell of the bell, he would still be able to make it ring. Meaning that he would not try to punch through his opponent but deliver enough force that it would still damage him internally.

[Post 1/4]

Depending on how much damage caused through physical attacks, they were not always as devastating as mental attacks. Although they could tend to be messier, the messier the attacks were, they could be devastating on the mind. Keiji did not wish to destroy an enemy through physical attacks when he was more skilled at destroying their minds. Yet he still had to do something if it came down to hand to hand combat. Some way to put distance so he could use his genjutsu.

[Post 2/4]

There would still be so much to retrain and practice, yet taijutsu would certainly be a challenge for him. As a user of genjutsu, taijutsu was not really his forte'. Not to say that would stop him from practicing his skills and being ready to use them. Now that he was Yukikage, he had to be quite ready for anything that might come his way. If he lacked or showed weakness then that would just be no good. He had to be the best shinobi in his entire village and he was not going to let a little thing like taijutsu stand in his way from making that happen.

[Post 3/4]

While deep in his thoughts, the male had been practicing the control used in his punches. His control was, of course, pristine and he knew he would be able to transfer the power without having to waste the energy trying to punch through his opponent. Quite satisfied with the results of his practice on the technique, Keiji took a moment to stretch before he moved on to practice stage three Sazanami techniques.

[Post 4/4 Learned Bell Ring]

Now things were becoming a little more difficult to practice. Keiji remembered he had started to struggle a bit at this point since there were more complex techniques starting from Stage Three. In Stage Three of Sazanami, there would be four techniques to learn and all of them would be a little difficult to learn, yet necessary. The first that Keiji would start with was a useful technique known as Sweeping Strike.

[Post 1/6]

It was a useful technique where Keiji would actually step into the attack as it came towards him. Of course it would be more of a taijutsu attack that he would be stepping into. Since anything such as ninjutsu attacks would cause more damage more than anything. That and it would not help much for genjutsu attacks, considering they were attacks that attacked the mind and were not physical.

[Post 2/6]

Setting right to work on the technique, Keiji imagined that there was an opponent coming towards him to attack. After he would step into the attack, the strike would be deflected with his hand or a weapon. Then he would strike up with his palm towards the opponent's chin. The resulting attack would cause an opponent to become dizzy and make them disoriented for a time. The Yukikage mimicked these movements precisely and once he finished, he began the technique once more.

[Post 3/6]

It was not so much the training got to him but more how he noticed time passing so slowly as he trained. It must have been much the same way as it had been when he first started learning these techniques a long time ago. The next stage with it's techniques would undoubtedly take longer to practice since they were even more complex than these. Yet now that Keiji had the time, he had to keep pressing on and retraining these techniques, he could not stop for a break just yet.

[Post 4/6]

While Keiji was still going through the motions of this technique, he let his mind move to other things. After all, there was nothing that said he could not train and think at the same time. Actually, it may very well be what would help him get through the long time spent training. Which was not to say he would get sloppy while he thought, the man still put in the right amount of power and control into his techniques while part of his mind wandered to other topics worth thinking about.

[Post 5/6]

Now the need to practice Sweeping Strike was coming to a close. His form was as close to perfect as it could be and he was putting in the right amount of power. He kept his stance firm and his moves strong as he attacked the imaginary opponent before him. So far so good, he had actually managed to tackle training with a couple taijutsu techniques. Fairly good but not great, there was still so much more ground to cover. At the very least, he wanted to practice up to the fourth stage of Sazanami before moving onto Ninjutsu.

[Post 6/6 Learned Sweeping Strike]

Finished with Sweeping Strike, the male rolled his shoulders for a moment or two as he prepared for the next technique. It was known as the Half Step and the name of the technique was pretty self explanatory. To avoid an attack, the male would take a half step in one direction, no more than two feet. It would set up a counter attack and it would help him avoid most taijutsu attacks. Fairly basic yet it was quite useful when it came to hand to hand combat.

[Post 1/6]

At this rate, he was not even sure if he would be able to handle all of the fourth stage in one go. He might need to break it up with intervals of ninjutsu so that he did not become bored. It was probably just the training talking though, he would wait and see if that was what he would have to do when he got to that point. For now, it was important to focus on finishing up all of stage three of Sazanami. That was the very least he had to do so that he could be prepared.

[Post 2/6]

As he imagined a person coming towards him to attack, Keiji stepped to the side to avoid it. Obviously while inside his office, the male could not get really crazy with his training. It was already a bit of a mess and he would need that genin to come by later to clean it up. Yet if he left it in a state of total disrepair, then he may as well hire professionals to remodel the whole thing. After all, a clean and tidy office would reflect well on him as a person. Although he had to wonder if all kages kept their offices so clean.

[Post 3/6]

Moving from side to side in half steps was not really entertaining, not as much as other training could be. Keiji continued his practice though, wanting to make his movements as precise as could be. If he just left his skills to rot after all, then they would become sloppy. Sloppy meant that mistakes would be made and then that would cost him in a battle. At least he had the time to be able to practice these techniques, while there was a lull in shinobi activity coming to his office.

So far, so good, Keiji felt he was making steady progress with his taijutsu. He just had to keep going and then he could practice his ninjutsu. He was nearly done practicing the Half Step and would soon move on to the other two techniques in the third stage of Sazanami. Although he was wondering when he might take a break and have a bite to eat. He'd have someone sent down to the restaurant to buy him something during his break fro training.

[Post 5/6]

Thinking about what sort of meal he might have, Keiji settled on something with beef and no noodles. Yet for now, he was finishing up his retraining of the Half Step technique. Perhaps he would have some beef sukiyaki or some such thing? Or perhaps mixed in with a veggie stir fry if that was available. Finished with the half step, the male stopped moving from side to side so he could set up for the next technique he would learn.

[Post 6/6 Learned Half Step]

The next technique was a little slow and required some set up before but it added power to offensive attacks. It was a technique simply known as the Spin Step. As the name suggested, Keiji would take a step and then he would spin on the foot he just stepped down on. The spin would add momentum and thus more power to his attack as he would attempt to strike his opponent.

[Post 1/6]

Imagining that an opponent was coming towards him to attack, the male took a step and spun before striking out with his fist. It was simple, effective, and powerful to say the least. So far his training was going well and he was making good time. Sooner than he might think, he would be finished with the third stage and move on to the fourth stage of Sazanami. Then he would have a good enough bulk of taijutsu to be satisfied and move on to retraining his ninjutsu.

[Post 2/6]

Taking a small break from his movements and training, the male stretched his arms above his head and stretched his legs. If he was going to train properly, then he needed to give his body a good stretch so that he did not hurt himself. If worse came to worse in the village, he would take on genin and train them himself when he was ready. For now though, he was just too rusty and he would wait to see if he was needed.

[Post 3/6]

After a proper stretch, the male went to his desk and took out a bottle of water from one of the desk drawers. He unscrewed the top and took a drink before setting it on his desk. If things got really boring in this office, Keiji figured he could get something set up in here to entertain himself. Perhaps he would get more books in or some sort of board game. Perhaps some electronic device that was used to entertain and pass the time.

[Post 4/6]

As he went back to practicing, Keiji had to wonder what the other villages were doing. As far as he knew, Sunagakure was still neutral and kept to it's own business. Despite the dangers of spying on a village full of powerful shinobi, Keiji would still want to keep tabs on it. That would be for another time though, he also wanted to focus on Kumogakure and Kirigakure. They were both in a pact together and had talented shinobi working for them. It was good to keep tabs on them...

[Post 5/6]

Now his retraining of the Spin Step was complete and he was finished up with it. That was the third technique of the stage down and only one more to go. After that, he would be on his way to learn most if not all of the techniques of the fourth stage of Sazanami. It would be good to finally have most of his taijutsu out of the way and being able to move on to retraining his ninjutsu, which was quite needed for him.

[Post 6/6 Learned Spin Step]

This next and last technique of the third stage would be quite useful for him to use in hand to hand combat. Attack Redirection: Upper Body, was a technique where he would side step the opponent as they punched or lunged at him. Once he side stepped the opponent, he would grab their out stretched arm and pull them forward. Of course this would put them terribly off balance and even send them to the ground.

[Post 1/6]

Once more, he would imagine that an opponent was lunging towards him, trying to attack him. From there, he would go through the motions and movements of grabbing the attacker's arm and pulling them forward. After side stepping the imaginary opponent's attack of course. He'd keep going through the moves until he was satisfied that he'd gotten the technique down pat.

[Post 2/6]

So far so good, the male was easily replicating the familiar movements he had learned a long time ago. While he had traveled outside of the village, he had learned plenty of things from his travels. He had learned about bloodlines and other things, gathering information wherever he could and when it was available. It had not been easy at times but the results had been well worth the effort. Knowledge was powerful to have, especially when it could psyche someone out and add to his own nickname.

[Post 3/6]

As he continued his training, the male allowed his mind to continue to wander a bit. There was always new information coming about and said information would need to be known quickly. It was not as if he could really send people out to learn of things, especially with the chance of danger. Yet not knowing what was going on never sat well with Keiji. He still believed that knowledge was powerful and quite valuable. Something his village might need if they would gain power.

[Post 4/6]

As time consuming as the retraining of his taijutsu was, it was necessary and he was moving at a fairly steady pace. It would just get longer when he got to the fourth style but Keiji was still determined to keep going. If he just stopped and gave up then he might be short on techniques if something happened. Having techniques that were merely C-rank would not cut it for the Yukikage, he had to at least get to B-rank techniques. That would be the minimal for him.

[Post 5/6]

Now he was pretty much finished training with Attack Redirection: Upper Body. Which of course meant that he had finished with the third stage of Sazanami and could move on to the fourth stage. Now that he had finished with his technique, the male stopped his training and yawned softly. So far, so good, just a little bit more and then he would be ready to move on to retraining his ninjutsu techniques.

[Post 6/6 Learned Attack Redirection: Upper Body]

Now it was time to move on to the fourth stage of Sazanami. Retraining with these techniques would take longer than the C-ranked techniques of the third stage. Not to mention it would take longer to relearn the fourth stage since there were six techniques to learn. This next technique that he would learn was known as Attack Redirection: Lower Body. It would be the same as the last technique but used to target the lower body of course.

[Post 1/8]

To do this training, he would once more imagine an opponent attacking him and he would act in a way the technique required to be used. Of course, while he imagined and went through the motions, Keiji would let his mind wander for a short time. There were still many things to do for the village, ways to make it better and to make it a true shinobi village. So much to do and still very little time when other villages were growing stronger.

[Post 2/8]

The movements for Attack Redirection: Lower Body were fairly simple. Instead of stepping to the side or some such thing, Keiji would instead have to step forward into the attack. After which, he would grab the leg that had been raised to attack and pull it forward. Of course after that, he would send an opponent forward. Either they would be severely off balance or they would be thrown to the ground.

[Post 3/8]

The fact that this village seemed to only have two jounin level shinobi was worrying to Keiji. If they were to stand on their own, then they would need strong shinobi to defend the village. If worse did come to worse, then Keiji knew he would have to step up and defend the village as well. Right now he was not really in the condition to do so but his retraining was going well enough that it would soon not be an issue.

[Post 4/8]

The second issue seemed to be that there were no active medical shinobi in the village. At least as far as he knew, but hopefully even a genin medical shinobi would pop up from the academy. The regular doctors they had were bound to be competent but there were still plenty of things that they could not do with their limited resources. Perhaps a shinobi from Kirgakure might be interested in changing villages?

[Post 5/8]

There were still so many troubles to deal with in the village and yet there seemed to be nothing he could do at the moment. He had limited resources as far as shinobi went and he had to stay within the village now that he was Yukikage. While there were perks to being in charge, there were draw backs in this case since he could not get hands on with anything. Not unless they only took places within the village itself.

[Post 6/8]

This training seemed to be dragging on forever, Keiji was having a hard time keeping focus at this point. There were still so many other techniques to go over and yet it seemed as if he might never reach them in time. He was still determined to learn all of stage four though, he absolutely needed to learn these six techniques so he could be fairly masterful with taijutsu. He would not be left vulnerable by such a thing as hand to hand combat. That would not do for the Yukikage.

[Post 7/8]

Finally he was finished practicing this technique, Attack Redirection: Lower Body. Relearning techniques was well worth the effort but it was such a strain on his time. At least now he would be able to move on to the next technique and get on with learning the other techniques of the fourth stage of Sazanami. Still so much to do and not too much time for him to be able to learn them. Well, perhaps he did have the time but he felt he was on his own personal time schedule and he wanted to be done as soon as possible.

[Post 8/8 Learned Attack Redirection: Lower Body]

The next technique would be quite useful, it was a technique known as the Hummingbird's Flight. With this technique he had learned, he could throw any weapon, regardless of size, with great accuracy over a large distance. Even if a person saw the weapons coming, they could still be maneuvered to an area where Keiji might want them to go. A fairly useful technique, especially if he needed to get a person where he needed them to be for a certain attack and such.

[Post 1/8]

For this technique he would not really need to stand, so the Yukikage went back to his seat and got out a couple of non-sharpened pencils to throw. They would not really do much damage to whatever he was going to throw them at, not unless they were made from such flimsy material like paper. For now, he would just use six pencils to practice his aim and accuracy. Just as a warm up, he might open the window and take aim at something outside for some real practice.

[Post 2/8]

Yawning softly, the male picked up one pencil and looked about the office for something to aim at. Nothing interesting really came to view but eventually he spotted a book. It was sitting on the edge of a file cabinet, standing up vertically. It would be fairly easy to tip over if hit just right with plenty of power. Slowly twirling the pencil in between his fingers, Keiji eyed the book for a moment or two before he threw the pencil at the book. It hit in the middle but closer to the top where it was less stable. Then the book fell right over to the ground.

[Post 3/8]

It really did not matter much to him if his office was going to get a little messier. That one female genin said she was going to come back and clean the place up anyway. It couldn't look any worse than what it already did, not unless a tornado came through and ripped at the walls. Although, when it came time to practice his ninjutsu, he would have to be careful not to flood his office or something. He was not sure if he could afford to have the place remodeled.

[Post 4/8]

For now, the male continued to take a shot or two at random items around the room. Of course he hit them all with high precision aim and accuracy, it was fairly boring actually. Based on the fact that this was fairly easy to do, throwing make shift weapons of sorts to hit items in the room. Yet it was good enough practice and Keiji continued to practice his aim and accuracy with small weapons. Well, the make shift weapons that were really just unsharpened pencils.

[Post 5/8]

As he continued to sort of mindlessly toss a pencil or two, Keiji wondered how Izaya was doing in Konoha. Probably doing fairly well since he was receiving training from Hitomi. Hopefully he would come back stronger than he had been before. Then there would be a good chance he'd come back, stronger and ready to assume a new title as chuunin. It was a nice thought but Keiji would not keep his hopes up. It would be a high goal and Izaya would probably not reach it immediately.

[Post 6/8]

Deciding that he had practiced with easy targets too much, Keiji decided it was time to make things a little more interesting. Standing up from his desk, the male walked over to the window and opened it up. There was still one pencil in his hand that he had to use, now he just needed a target. He scanned around the area, trying to find something interesting to throw it at. Finally he came upon a spot on a nearby building, there was a shutter and he figured he would hit the fifth shingle from the top of the window shutter.

[Post 7/8]

Eying the spot he wanted to hit, Keiji took careful aim of the shutter. Well, in his mind he did, if he was to have a successful attack, he'd have to keep his arm slack, acting as if he would not throw it. Then, a split second later, the male threw the unsharpened pencil at the fifth shingle and waited to see if it would hit. He used enough power that it made it all of the way to the shingle, splintered a bit on the end that impacted before it fell to the ground and onto the snow. With that complete, Keiji closed the window and moved onto his next technique.

[Post 8/8 Hummingbird's Flight]

The next technique was going to be a bit more offensive than the other techniques. It was a Sazanami technique known as the Cross Split. It was a rather harmful attack, since the whole point was to break a limb and render it useless until a medic shinobi healed it. It would be quite useful for the male to learn and Keiji intended to practice the technique he had learned a long time ago. It would be quite useful in any hand to hand combat battle, cripple a person so that they could not continue using taijutsu attacks properly.

[Post 1/8]

There was an added benefit to this technique as well. Mainly that if he used a weapon against a person who had a weapon as well, he could break that weapon as easily as he could break a limb. Which meant he could also deal with a person who was a bukijutsu user. By destroying a part of the weapon, he might easily take away plenty of jutsu that a person would plan to use in battle. Granted he would still have to deal with other jutsu an opponent might throw at him, it would still help by taking care of plenty of other just as destructive jutsu.

[Post 2/8]

Just as with any other jutsu he was learning for taijutsu, the male would imagine an opponent was trying to attack him. They would either come at him with a punch or a leg. Then Keiji would pretend to grab said limb and then strike the bone at the right point and break it. Simple and yet effective, a basic in hand to hand combat to learn if one wished to incapacitate their opponent and end the fight early. To do that, one would simply have to cripple one arm and one leg.

[Post 3/8]

Still pretending that he was fighting with an imaginary opponent, the male went through the motions, as if he were catching a limb and then breaking it. He would go through this motion for a time until he felt he had practiced the move enough. So far it seemed as if he had not lost any of his technique, a good thing since he had to be on top of his game more than ever now. So far it was a bit of a rush, practicing so many techniques at once. Now he was feeling as though he wished to practice the A-rank techniques before he went on to ninjutsu techniques.

[Post 4/8]

Perhaps now he was becoming more ambitious than ever, but he felt as though he were getting a second wind from all of this. What was wrong with being ambitious anyway? He just wanted to keep going and going, until he felt he had made it to a decent level before taking a break. He was not so satisfied just yet, there was still so much to relearn and practice, he wanted to get it down pat. He wanted to be as impressive as could be eventually but it would have to be taken slow at the moment.

[Post 5/8]

Taking it slow meaning he would probably not learn all of the S-ranked techniques he wanted to learn. He had to at least get up to B-rank or A-rank techniques that he would want to learn. Although for his genjutsu, he could probably and easily get up to S-rank techniques and learn all that he needed to learn. Although now that he thought about it, he might need to get an encyclopedia just to make sure he could learn all of the techniques he wished to learn.

[Post 6/8]

Thinking back to his planned meal, Keiji wondered if he might have rice with his beef meal. Perhaps he would have that, with broccoli, a nice sauce, and rice with fried eggs. That sounded quite nice actually, perhaps the restaurant would be able to serve it to him? Or more like, have some sort of take out and deliver it to his office. Perhaps with some spring rolls and some sort of alcoholic drink to go with his water. Warm sake did sound quite good to have in this cold weather.

[Post 7/8]

Finally he was finished with the Cross Split, meaning to say he felt he had practiced it enough and was ready to move on. As far as the warm sake went, he would only order a small sort of jar, just enough to enjoy the taste without becoming tipsy. After all, in the snow country, there was always time to enjoy warm dishes. It was something that the tourists certainly did, not used to such cold climates. Keiji knew he could enjoy a bit of ice cream in this weather with very little change in his body's temperature.

[Post 8/8 Learned Cross Split]

Now that he was finished with the Cross Split, he would move onto the next technique of the fourth stage of Sazanami. It was another stance that would actually help add more power to his attacks despite the stance being slow. It was known as the Back Stance and it was another basic stance that all taijutsu fighters should know. Especially if they wanted a good, balanced stance and if they wanted some more power behind any of their physical attacks.

[Post 1/8]

Getting into position, Keiji would merely hold the stance for as long as he needed to. Or at least until his thighs and legs began to feel very tired and he had to give them a rest. That might take awhile so once again, his mind was free to wander to whatever topic of thought he wished to pursue this time around. At least after this, there would be only one more stance within the whole style to learn. Then he would not need to practice holding any other stances.

[Post 2/8]

Having been forced to hold his stance, the male would let his mind wander while he practiced. Warm sake was a good thing to have with dinner but now after that, he might want to have some snacks stashed away in this office. Certainly not any fattening snacks, he had to keep his figure the same as it was now. No, some more healthier snacks were needed. Some sort of fruits, dried or otherwise, then he would also add in some nuts or seeds in a packet. Honey roasted nuts or seeds, they tasted quite good when honey was added while roasted.

[Post 3/8]

There would probably be something available, most likely almonds or peanuts that were imported. Perhaps pine nuts would be more common within the snow country, considering that they did have a lot of pine trees here. Although pine nuts, or rather perhaps seeds, were bound to be healthy, Keiji was certain they were not as tasty as some other nuts. No, he would have to ask for peanuts or almonds. Something healthy and yet tasty so that he could snack on. Something to fill the hunger until he finally had a proper meal.

[Post 4/8]

Honestly, he was not sure if he would ever miss a proper meal, there would be people to provide for him. After all, no one would want to displease the Yukikage nor would they want him to starve to death. That would be embarrassing and that would leave the village without a proper leader. Without a proper leader, how would they determine who would succeed him? Well, the next strongest shinobi in the village would probably take over for him, there would be no doubt about that. Or a person who wanted the job would most likely take it.

[Post 5/8]

Back to the subject of meals, he had to wonder what the best meal he'd ever had was. After basically traveling around the world, he'd had his share of interesting dishes. Each country, depending on it's environment and such, were bound to offer dishes their country was known for. Although of course they would offer familiar dishes that anyone would like, native or traveling. Which Keiji had been happy to partake in having when nothing local seemed appetizing to him.

[Post 6/8]

There had been a place in the fire country when he had been visiting. It was a rather nice noodle shop that served exceptional ramen. The noodles were not too thin or thick, no starchy after taste, wonderful tasting broth and of course fresh ingredients. It was a simple shop and yet it had tasted very good, he remembered that plenty of people had dropped by the place to eat. Certainly he would have to go back sometime, especially since he did have a truce with Konohagakure right now.

[Post 7/8]

Now he could feel the familiar feeling in his thighs, a signal that the muscles were growing tired and needed a rest. Moving over to his desk, he took a seat on the edge and rubbed his thighs. It would not take long before they stopped aching, then he could continue on to the next taijutsu technique he had in mind to retrain. That would be the second to last technique of the fourth stage of Sazanami. After that, he was free to retrain the techniques he knew in the fifth stage of the taijutsu style.

[Post 8/8 Learned Back Stance]

This next technique was also an avoidance maneuver known as Flat Step. It was a more advanced version of the Half Step in a way. He could step around attacks to set up highly effective counter attacks. Not to mention he could move farther, at least one meter and at most two meters if he could manage making such a step. It would be quite useful to evade incoming attacks and then use other jutsu to attack an opponent. Although he would not have much room inside his office to move. He would just have to step as far as he could with the space he had.

[Post 1/8]

While he moved, Keiji's mind began to wander once more. Honestly, it was such a bother for him to retrain these techniques. Then again, it was probably because he was losing steam as he continued to retrain. It was hard to keep going for so long but then again, taijutsu did not come to him as easily as ninjutsu and genjutsu did. Especially since he was of the Sensor class, people with high talents to manipulate chakra and yet not really able to train up their body so much. Keiji was able to have that one anomaly at least.

[Post 2/8]

He wondered just how good the monk was with his blades. He'd seen the file and yet he had not seen the male do anything in person. Keiji was sure that the male was good, he was a jounin after all. Albeit a bit too friendly, he was already calling his Kage by his first name. Yet Keiji could not say that it was unpleasant to have the other call his name. It would be something that he would allow for now. Until the male, in some way, became annoying with how friendly he was being.

[Post 3/8]

Now he had to wonder if perhaps there was a skilled, jounin woman within the village. Such a thought made him think of another story he had heard, about a lovely woman who was an assassin from the snow country. He was not sure if the story had been true but it was interesting none the less. To think that a highly skilled assassin came from the snow country and had done all of those assassinations. Over come impossible situations and still make it out alive.

[Post 4/8]

It would certainly be something of a draw if Yukigakure had the same sort of shinobi serving the village. A woman, highly skilled, sexy, dangerous, someone able to fool anyone to get close to her target. Unfortunately, something such as that only seemed to come from stories, meant to entertain people. Keiji had doubts such a woman might come about but there was always hoping in some cases.

[Post 5/8]

Either way, the only female shinobi that seemed to be in Yuki were both genin, no others that were stronger than that. There was certainly nothing to be done about that for now. Keiji would merely have to wait for more shinobi to show up. Either they would come out from the shadows or they would come from the academy, fresh and ready for training. They would have to be built up from there in the meantime.

[Post 6/8]

It was certainly taking awhile, just from merely stepping side to side. It was tiring in a way for Keiji and he was sure that he would have to take a seat for his next technique. For now though, he would keep stepping and practicing, not yet ready to take a break from training. There was at least still one more technique for him to learn. Then he would just have to freshen things up by training his ninjutsu.

[Post 7/8]

Now he was finished with the Flat Step technique. It had been a bit of a pain to do inside the office but now it was done. Which meant there was only one more technique to go before he was done practicing his taijutsu for the moment. It would be a strong skill, fast and hard to block. The last thing to complete his retraining of the fourth stage of Sazanami. Yet the fifth stage was where things would really start coming together before the grand finale.

Tired of taijutsu for the moment, Keiji decided it was time to retrain his ninjutsu for awhile. He specialized in both wind and water jutsu but there was a select few at the moment he wished to go over. The first being projectile control. This one was quite easy, tossing an unsharpened pencil, it did not really seem to go anywhere. Yet with the appropriate hand seals and amount of chakra, it shot to the wall like a bullet, splintering upon impact. Easy, now on to the next technique.

[Post 1/1 Learned Projectile Control Technique]

The second easy technique to learn for Fuuton was known as the retrieving wind technique. With this technique, he could manipulate the wind to pull small objects towards him. After going through the hand seals and focusing his chakra, wind formed and gathered up the shattered remains of the pencil, pulling them towards his hand. Once in his hand, he tossed the remains in the trash and set right to work on retraining more of his ninjutsu.

[Post 1/1 Learned Retrieving Wind technique.]

To keep his training light in the beginning, he switched to suiton techniques that would be easy to practice. There was but one super easy technique to learn in suiton and it was known as Trick of Water. Simply put, with sweat gathered on the tips of his fingers, he would flick the sweat into the eyes of his opponent. It would blur the opponent's vision temporarily, helping to limit their abilities in the battle for but a quick moment. Sweat easily gathered on his finger tips and with a flick of his fingers, it flew off into the eyes of an imaginary opponent.

[Post 1/1 Learned Trick of Water technique]

Unfortunately, if he really wanted to learn more techniques then he would have to go to the academy. Otherwise he was bound to destroy his office...

Zain would knock on the Yukikage's door, no one made a sound so he knew the Yukikage was alone which made it a happy time. "Keiji, it's me Zain!" He said so he knew who knocked.

Hearing a knock at the door, Keiji stopped his training and moved back to his desk. After training with taijutsu and ninjutsu, the male as feeling a little worn out. Taking a seat in his chair, he wiped his forehead with the back of his head before leaning back in his seat. "Enter, Zain." He'd already known who it was, having sensed the familiar chakra that had been in his office awhile ago.

Watching the monk walk inside, he nodded his head before saying "I do. Mostly I would like you to teacher the genin of our village, help them in any way possible in their training so that they may become stronger. Preferably, I would like you to form a team of three genin that have strength and abilities that can compensate for any weaknesses the others may have."

Pausing, he went into the drawer on the left hand side where he kept the missions and pulled out two folders. "Or, if you wish for something with a bit more excitement, I have two in mind for you. One choice being to Search and Scan Kirigakure. The second choice will only be available when and if you train the new genin of this village so that they are stronger. When you feel they are strong enough, let me know and I will give you permission to disguise yourself as an enemy and ambush them. They will be on guard thinking this is a real drill of course. It will be a good chance to test their field combat and how well they will work together."

Zain listened carefully to the Yukikage, he could do all three as a list. "I'll do the search and scan of Kirigakure then I'll do the genin stuff, since I already know Matsu would be too busy for those." He said and fixed his hair.

So he would do all three, good, it seemed that he could count on the two jounin he had under his command. "Good. I don't expect too much trouble from Kirigakure, but it's always good to be careful. Gather as much information as you can on the village about anything important, such as shinobi and the kage. However, I don't want you to go so far that it would incite an attack. Despite being allies with Konoha, we are in no condition to weather retaliation. If this does go well, I may ask you to take a look at Kumogakure and see what you can find."

Missions of this kind would require finesse and discretion, something he hoped the monk had plenty of. "Now, aside from encouraging caution and such, that is all for now, feel free to start when you are ready. Report back to me immediately after searching Kirigakure." He was assuming that all genin had returned to the village safe and sound from Takumi so he would not bring up the matter right now.

Zain listened, this would be easy for him since he WAS a monk and monks traveled more then anyone else. "I'll get right on it, no time to waste and I love traveling!" He stood up and bowed, thanking the yukikage for the mission as he made his way out. He was wondering if he should disguise himself or just use his Hakemoto chakra to cover his original chakra so he looked weak like a actual monk with little chakra would or a normal civilian. He smirked and made his way out.

Deciding now would be a good time to slip away and train, Keiji stood and went over to a filing cabinet. He picked up a sign from the top before heading over to his door. Opening it, he stepped out and closed it right behind him and then placed the sign on the handle of the door by a string.

The Yukikage is temporarily out.

With that in place, he left the building and headed for the academy.

XXXMessenger bag at her side, Michiko would happily make her way through the village streets all the while trying to come up with a new tune to express her feelings of success. 'It'll be fun. Trials and tribulations.' How a girl her age knew such big words was rather surprising but people who knew her got use to it after awhile. Her mother and music instructor says its due to her early introduction into the world of music. Others, says she just plain smart. Entering the office, Michiko would wave to the receptionist before making her way two steps at a time up the flight of spiral stairs all the way to the floor where the Yukikage's office resided. Brisk walking straight towards the door, Michiko was met with a rather unexpected sight. What awaited her was not a door or an open office but a closed door and a sign. Mocha brown eyes darting to the sign, Michiko would read it out loud in a soft voice. "The Yukikage is temporarily out...fun..." Her voice was rather dry and less then pleased. Sadly, what could she do? Michiko was only a genin so if the Kage chose to step out and leave her hanging it was his choice. Making her way back down the long flights of stairs, Michiko use that quite time to decide on her next destination. 'I already am late for music theory...might as well get some training done at the academy then...' Reaching the end of the stairs, Michiko would wave goodbye to the receptionist before taking to the cold frigid air that was Yuki. Raising her hood, Michiko began the short walk over to the academy.
