Sooo I'm painting something really big and I want to know what the general consensus is. Fluff wise it's fielded in the Sabbat Crusade. Thus the saints statue on the bow. The windows are mostly blocked out by painters tape. They will be guilded gold with a future wash to make them shiny just like the NASA sunsheilding on the space suits. 1944 ish panzer camo scheme or battleship style disruption pattern. Here is what I'm working on.

OMG....that this is huge! is that thing on weels? that is a big tank....wow i would not want to play you with that on your side, it would roll up onto the battle feild and i would never fire a shot for i would be crushed, all of me.
EDIT: that looks real sweet though. nice job! razz

It might be a bit too late in the game for you to change it, but your D-Day cannon looks a little bit small.

Caleidah It might be a bit too late in the game for you to change it, but your D-Day cannon looks a little bit small.Actually it's held on with wood screws, so I can swap barrels. I eventually want to have a few different main guns.

I read the Foundation inks Sticky, but I still have an issue... I don't have any inks, and I would like to try to wash using just vallejo paints. Is this possible? would I simply thin the paint until it becomes near water? Also, I plan to paint up some Tyranids soon, but will have trouble with all of the cracks....any suggestions? I would have posted this in the inks thread, but this is more relevent to paints themselves.

I would have posted this in the inks thread, but this is more relevent to paints themselves. thinned paint =//= inks. inks by nature are semi-translucent, while paints are more opaque. it can be done with thinned paint, but it just doesn't look quite the same with some colors.
