The next time You would wake, he would find himself in a hospital bed in ICU. He was alone in room, with an IV in his arm. While he wasn't in too much pain, he knew that was from the IV drip. His leg was numb and his arm as well. If he glanced under his covers with his good hand he'd see a very large bruise on his chest.
On the table beside him was his glasses in his case. His clothes, the guns anything else were gone. However, there was a note card left behind on his glasses case.
It was code:
The Black Bishop sweeps the board. 2
Meaning....I'm cleaning up after you. 2

Dark eyes opened to a lit room that smelled of antiseptic. For a moment, You's gaze simply adjusted. He was damn happy the light was on... normally he wore contacts beneath his glasses, just in case... but he hadn't been wearing them at all since he'd left Haru back in Kyoto...
'Haru!' The man sat up suddenly before crashing back against the bed.
That had been stupid... and after all, the medic had said Yamada was alright but...
Reaching over, Ishihara took his glasses from the case and put them on, reading the note. He frowned, knowing exactly what it meant.
#2 was doing clean up on his own botched job.
For a brief moment, You wondered if he'd somehow be demoted to #2 instead... after all he hadn't ******** up this bad before. The sniper was dead, though maybe they could ID the guy, leaving no one to question. At least Shou was safe... And Haru...
Thankfully his phone was next to his glasses. Crushing the note left by #2 and tossing it into a trash can nearby, Ishihara grabbed his phone and sent a text message straight to Haru first and foremost.
Are you okay?
Sighing, he dialed Matsumoto Izo's number. It wouldn't be professional if he didn't check in after this fiasco.

I can no longer return to those days free of bloodshed These deep scars rooted within me will not disappear...
Relief flooded Jun's body as soon as he recognized Yamada Haru's voice. He might not have been close with Shou's assistant, but he had been near him enough times to recognize his tone and pattern of speech. Sliding the safety into position, Jun nodded for Shou to follow behind him. Opening the bathroom door, the dark star kept his guard up, just in case, and led the blond out of the room into the hallway. "Yamada-san..." Hayato sighed, relieved to actually see the man, "I'm glad you're ok. I feared the worst when I saw what happened from my window." Hide it, Hide it Hide me...

Ninja or Hamu...You decide! Dirty Little Secrets------------------------------------------------}:- Yamada Haru It's the Devil in the Details... ......What a tangled web we weave......
When Haru saw the two stars, his shoulders slumped in relief. "Ah...Hayato-san. Shou-sama, So glad to see you both well. It's been a very rough...day. Ah...yes, that. Me too. I didn't even have time to think. I....."
It was then Shou pushed past Jun and pulled his assistant to him in a big hug, "I was so WORRIED, Hamu! I thought you were dead! What would I do without you??!" Shou fussed and looked over his assistant trying to determine the man was in one piece.
"Shou-sama!" Haru huffed crabbily as his star man-handled him. He seemed very much like the same diligent assistant that always grouched when Shou got too attentive with him. "I've a lump on my head and I big bruise on my chest. Owch!" He pushed and peeled away from his very overly affectionate and fretting Star! As he pushed his glasses upright on his face, he pointed out, "Now, now! I'm alright. The vest I was wearing for you saved me. So just relax and lets gather up your things here. We need to get you, Jun and the rest of the boy out of the onsen before media and anything more serious arrives."
Haru straightened out his suit and leaving his long wool coat unbuttoned because he really didn't want to show the hole that poked through its thick padding. "Hayato-san, please gather your things too. I've been told that everyone will be riding back in the limo and the SUVs. You and the boys plus Shou-sama and Ko-kun will be riding in the limo and I'll sit with the driver. So we all remain together for the long trip home."
He wasn't taking any chances with all these stars. The limo was bullet proofed and with the SUV escort that meant they wouldn't have too many issue. Once in the city, it would be easier to disperse the stars to their various homes, bodyguards and so forth.
Shou nodded but then frowned, "Where's Pillow-san?"
"Pillow-san?" Haru blinked for a moment confused by the name at first but then gave a response that he wouldn't have said if he had been alone but it was the response he had to give Shou, "I was told Ishihara-san is busy. Don't worry about him Shou-sama. I'm sure we will see him back in Tokyo." Actually everything Haru said with his flat assistant face was a lie, but telling Shou any different could send the star seeking answers. And right now, Haru didn't want to take chances with Shou's safety or any of the other stars with him. While Haru hated Matsumoto, he didn't want the Spider down his throat.
Inside, Haru worried about You. Where was he? Why didn't any of the guards say anything that would give him a clue as to what was going on?! He couldn't even ask about You because the man wasn't suppose to be his priority. In fact for all intensive purposes, he didn't hardly know the man as far as the employees at Smash knew. They had worked hard to keep their real relationship far removed from their work for many reasons. Both were very secretive men, however, at the moment, Haru was wondered about You's....secrets. Why had You been send to guard Shou? Something didn't jive.
Fortunately, Haru's worried look could be taking for his worry about Shou and the group rather than his own internal fears. Was You alive??

Gently tapping Naoko's shoulder until the pianist woke up, Ryu smiled as he whispered, "It's ok. All clear for now." Walking to the door, the violinist pulled the chain open and stepped out into the hall, listening to all that had been said. "Ko-kun is asleep in Naoko's arms. He's had quite a bit of a fright...he...he said he was afraid that bad people were coming to take him away." Ryuukaze spoke up, wanting Shou, as well as everybody else, to be aware that the child would need to be treated very gently now. The experience had been rough on the kid. Jun glanced from Shou to Haru to Ryu, his face seeming unusually tired and haggard, like he had aged a decade in a night. Even so, the raven-haired man was smiling. Shou and Ko were safe. That's all he could think about. His job was done. Now...he just wanted to rest. The world around him seemed to go in and out of focus, dimming, then brightening, then dimming again. He hadn't been able to quite make out what anyone was saying. It would seem to anyone who saw him that he was becoming quite ill. ~( I’m here )~ Soba ni iru wa~ ~( Believe me ) Osorenai de~ ~Shinjiau koto....~ ~FOR YOU~

Shou walked over to Naoko, who held Ko and he leaned down to kiss the boy's forehead, "Why don't you take him down to the limo, and I'll get things packed up with Ryuukaze-san. We can surely handle this. Ko looks very comfortable with you right now. I'm sure that he'll sleep most of the night."
The internally nervous Star allowed the guards do their job for a change, letting them watch over the area he was in while he started to gather their things. What a way to end the weekend. But, at least they had a few normal moments until everything fell apart. He still wondered about....Ishihara-san in more ways than one. But he couldn't ask Hamu about that now.
Although, even as he started picking up the Ko's toys, he heard something else coming from Hamu's lips....
-:{------------------------------------------------Cause it’s about to get rough for you I’m here For Your Entertainment Ninja or Hamu...You decide! Dirty Little Secrets------------------------------------------------}:- Yamada Haru It's the Devil in the Details... ......What a tangled web we weave......
Haru nodded when Ryu had made his point about Ko's condition. He surely hadn't wanted the child to suffer over the holidays but whoever had a beef against Smash right now obviously didn't care about that. "Alright, Mm...Shou-sama's idea is a good one," He glanced at two men, "Have the limo pull up to the door area, then take him and the boy out to it. I'll stay up here to help Shou-sama pack things up."
"Ryuukaze-san, If you'd help Shou-sama as well, I think this will go a bit quicker." Haru said as he then glanced at Hayato to give his next order when he noticed that the man didn't look well at all.
"Hey, Hayato-san! Now now...this isn't the time to faint on us." He reached over and steadied the dark star and called over a couple men. "He doesn't look good. One of you, help him out to the limo and...ah...I'll get his things from his room." Haru fished around in Jun's pockets to find the key as one of the guards put his arm around Jun to keep him upright.
----------
Shou looked up quickly and back to Jun a worried look crossed his face because it could be several things - Naoko's cold, exhaustion from the whole ordeal, or...the brief conversation they had before the help had arrived. It was probably a bit of at least number 2 and 3. And unfortunately, the star couldn't react anymore than this worried glance and a few kind words. Because too much concern could reveal information to men that belonged to Izo.
"Are you alright?" Shou called out as he lifted a bucket of Legos and put it into a bag. "It's been a rough night for all of us. Why don't you just relax and go out to the limo. We can take care of things here. Get some sleep. Ryuukaze-san and I will be out to the car soon." he said with a warm smile in hopes that Jun would at least understand the message. He really wanted Jun to get well, even if they weren't together right now, he could still be supportive. Jun was a very sweet man under all those problems, he just needed time to resolve them within himself.
(OOC: Since You's surgery would have taken a few hours, I'm thinking that our boys here will be on the road and close to Tokyo before Haru will get his message. Jun felt...confused. "I'm fine...I'm...fine. Really." the dark star tried to wave away the assistance of the men, though it was apparent to all around that he was not, in fact, fine. What little color the man had had drained away, leaving Jun looking like a paper shell of himself. "Ok...I'll go to the limo and wait." he succumbed to Shou's words, flashing a weak smile at the peacock. While he didn't want to give in, he simply couldn't go against what his beloved desired. Not now, anyway. ------------------------------------------------ As Hayato was led away to the limo, Ryuukaze took a deep breath and sighed. This was not how he had imagined their vacation ending. Not at all. The thing that irked him most about the whole ordeal was the fact that innocent little Ko had gotten wrapped up in all the insanity. the poor boy had enough trauma in his past, he certainly didn't need more of it brought into his world. Unfortunately, being surrounded by big name stars meant being surrounded by all the drama that comes with it. The whole situation, while completely mad, was almost unavoidable. If it hadn't been this, then something else would have surely happened, eventually. It always did, it seemed. Focusing in on the task at hand, Ryu began packing things up as quickly as he could, anxious just to get them all as far away from this place as possible. Hide it, Hide it Hide me...

Beautiful Dreamer
Shou watched for a moment as Jun was led away. "Just get some rest. We'll take care of things here. It will be alright." said Shou with a gentle smile, He was worried but he couldn't let it show any more than it had. Something was clearly wrong and it could have been one of 3 things: lack of sleep, the problems Jun was having with his own past, or the current situation. Actually, it could have been all three but Shou was sure that the middle one was one of the culprits.
By the time Jun was gone, Shou glanced over to Ryuukaze, "You take care of yours and Naoko's things, I'll take care of mine and Ko's. Hopefully we can get things done quickly." He sighed then carried an arm load of toys to the luggage and started packing. He and Ko had so many things but he didn't want to just let anyone take care of them.
The last thing that Shou took care of was the Xbox. He ended up getting one of the guards to help him unhook the set and leave the cords in the machine so he could plug them easily in when he got home. Shou didn't want ruin Ko's toy later. And he was sure Ko would need it after therapy when they got back.
Once done, he did a check to make sure he didn't leave anything behind including the toy that Pillow-san had put outside. The guards proceeded to take care of the equipment Ishihara had set up. Shou didn't know it, but the guards were a very equipped group of 'Cleaners'. And eventually, it would seem like nothing had ever happened in the rooms.
The bags were taken out to the limo first and carefully packed in its large trunk until all was tetrised inside. After the suitcases were in place, Shou, Ryu and Haru were taken to the car one by one until each were safely inside.
By the time they were ready to take off, #2 had returned with the medic and the SUV. #2 gave silent orders to all the men and then sent two inside to take care of the 'bills' while all the extra cars from Haru's to Ryu's were managed by other men.
#2 slipped into the limo next to Haru and smiled then showed a text on his phone. "I will be your driver to Tokyo. Just trust me and you'll all arrive safely."
Haru nodded quietly and leaned back on the seat. For once, he didn't fuss about the situation, the details, nor the stars in the backseat. He just wanted to sleep things off...because somewhere out there...he prayed You was alive.
Haru didn't stay to see Shou cleaning, he went to Hayato's room and started his task. Although in the back of his mind he worried about You. He couldn't very well start trying to call or text the man not with the guards watching over him. Yes, it was for his own safety but he wished he had some time to himself to just make sure.
His frustration persisted along with the lump on his head and the bruise on his chest. He didn't even have the vest anymore and still didn't know who had taken off with it. The guards were being very closed lipped. Probably because Shou shouldn't know anything that might make him nervous. After a few years of being around the peacock most knew better than to let the star know too much. Smart on their part, but it didn't help Haru.
As he packed, he noticed lyrics to songs and his shoulders slumped. "Oh great....Ok, time to gather all the paper, magazines, trash paper. Ugh." He had been with Shou way too long and knew that anything that had a possible writing surface could become a victim. He didn't want to learn later that he misplaced Hayato's next big hit. No way...not while he was still breathing.
So by the time he was done, Each piece of paper was carefully looked at and neatly packed into a plastic bag which he put in to Hayato's luggage. Then he did a complete and thorough search of the suite for anything hidden by the star. Haru knew Shou way to well, and could only guess Hayato had his own secrets. Haru really didn't want to know the depth of them, but better for him to pack them up then let another guest find something.
Once done, he called the front desk about the borrowed guitar because he knew that Hayato couldn't possibly own this piece of junk.

I can no longer return to those days free of bloodshed These deep scars rooted within me will not disappear...
As much as he wanted to be of some use to everybody, by the time Jun had gotten down to the limo, it was pretty obvious to him and all around him that his body simply wasn't going to allow him to do anything other than slump over in the back seat, his chest aching as his heart pounded away. It felt rather hard to breathe now that he was lying still, not focusing on all the other things going on around him. His nerves must have been completely fried by all the goings on, he thought. It seemed like an eternity before Shou and the others all piled into the car, one by one. "Shou..." Jun whispered the name as if it were golden, a weak smile on his lips. The dark star didn't appear in any better health than before. Actually, it seemed as though he were faring even worse. Anxiety could be hell on the body. ---------------------------------------- "Is...is Hayato going to be ok?" Ryu asked, looking around to everyone in the limo, wanting someone to say something about the man's condition. He had a lot riding on Jun at the moment, things that he hadn't openly discussed with anyone as of yet. Having the man get sick like this all of the sudden worried him, not just for himself, but for the happiness and well-being of all those he cared about. "I'm fine..." Jun chuckled, then coughed, his voice raspy and faint. All the signs and symptoms pointed to Jun going downhill and being out of commission for a while, be it from a cold, the flu, or other options that didn't occur to Ryuukaze. Taking Naoko's hand, the violinist's brow furrowed. This was not how things should be. This went against everything that he had planned in his idealistic, puppy-like mind. Hide it, Hide it Hide me...

Do you know what you got into Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do------------------------------------------------}:- SHOU No escaping when I start .traeh ruoy nwo I ni m'I ecnO
Beautiful Dreamer
Shou was bustled into the limo like an over protected peacock. No one wanted Izo's wrath if something were to happen and thus by the time Shou was in the limo he was fussy. Horribly fussy! However, even before he could let out a breath of annoyance, he looked down to see Ko right beside him in Naoko's arms and clamped his lips shut. The little mite didn't need to be woken by his foul mood.
So he sat back against the warmed leather and for a moment closed his eyes trying to center himself. What a nightmare!
The calling of his name caused his eyes to flick open as he glanced across the limo to see Jun looking really ill. For a moment, several thoughts ran through his head. "Mm....You don't look fine Hayato-san." said Shou with a concerned but formal tone because he didn't feel like he was in private while the men prepared the car for their return. "In fact, I really think we should take a small detour to the hospital close by on the way home. You're as pale as a sheet and I do have Ko in this car. I don't want him catching a bug."
Considering that Naoko was already ill and Jun...well he could be suffering from several things. Shou really didn't want to take any chances tonight, especially since he was going to be also performing at NHK very soon. What a mess! He really couldn't afford another incident.
Tapping on the glass, Shou called out and the driver hit button to bring it down then looked back along with Haru. Shou sighed and said, "I know it is imperative that we get home quickly but I think we need to stop at the hospital on the way, Hayato-san seems very ill."
#2's eyes flicked from Shou to Hayato as if surveying the situation without saying one single word.
Haru on the the other hand pushed the glasses upon his nose as he watched Hayato and huffed, "God..I don't want us to have to stop, Shou-sama. But... just by looking at him. You're probably right. If he's sick, then 5 hours in this limo isn't going to go easy on anyone. Driver, can we stop at the hospital on the way?"
#2 face didn't even belay any signs of emotion but surely this was why he didn't drive for the stars under normal situations. Fortunately, this was before they had taken off so he pulled out his phone and sent a couple text messages. The drivers from the other vehicles all communicated back. #2 then created a text and showed Haru: We will go to the hospital and drop him off. He's was not the target so this should not be a problem. He will have two security guards assigned to him from this crew just in case.
For a moment, #2 pondered one small thing. Hadn't he just been there? One shot up hitman, one sick star....what next?
Although even as that humorous thought floated through #2's head, he glanced at another coded text that had come in then smiled slightly. Well at least one part of this was going properly. #1's mess was getting cleaned up... Although it was going to be a dent in the boss' pocketbook. But that wasn't #2's concern. The job had to be done and #1 would have to deal with the consequences.
Haru's shoulders slumped as the window closed and the driver started the car. It was going to be a long night...very long night.
Thirty minutes went by as the car wound down the mountain and on to the main road where it could finally make it's way into a town to the closest hospital. As they arrived, #2 parked the limo at the emergency entrance and waited as the other SUVs parked close by. Men got out and #2 then followed and opened the door to the limo.
Haru got out on the other side and circled around, "Come on Hayato, lets go inside. Shou. You stay here with the rest of them. Yes, I know you don't want to be waiting and I'll bring back food and goodies but having you inside a hospital is going to cause issues. You're not dressed discretely." Haru looked a bit haggard but it was easy to see that he wasn't going to take any bull today.
All Shou could do was nod even if he wanted to fuss, he had a feeling that he'd just gain Hamu's ire and seriously he worried about his assistant's health right now too. The man had just been shot not long ago. Even if that didn't go through the vest, he was wondering how Haru was holding up. But the man had done many things over the course of time that Shou had been surprised about then like the flake he could be forgot about them.
"Hayato-san, why don't you go inside and get checked out at least. We will wait here in the limo in the mean time." said Shou encouragingly. Hopefully the man wasn't sick with a flu but Shou wasn't certain. Jun had been through quite a bit...over time.

The whole way to the hospital, Jun weakly tried to argue that he didn't need to go, that he would indeed be alright, he simply needed to get some good rest, that was all. Arguing didn't do him any good, though. Nobody seemed willing to change their mind, and the more he talked and fussed, the worse he felt. Once Hayato got inside the hospital, it became very apparent that he was indeed too ill to just sleep it off. By the time he reached the check in desk, his chest was tight, and hurting more than he had felt in....in....no, he couldn't remember a time he was in so much pain, outside of that brief flash that came to him in nightmares, of himself flying over the front of his motorcycle and...just the searing pain and blackness, then nothing. Next thing Jun knew, he was on his knees, the whole world spinning around him as nurses and aides came running to his side, lifting him up onto a stretcher and rushing him into the back before he even knew what was happening. The pain intensified, and the vocalist's whole world seemed to go to static, just before his consciousness blinked out to nothingness. Hide it, Hide it Hide me...

Ninja or Hamu...You decide! Dirty Little Secrets------------------------------------------------}:- Yamada Haru It's the Devil in the Details... ......What a tangled web we weave......
Haru walked in and went up to the counter to start talking to the nurse while Hayato made his way inside. But then suddenly he was turning around quickly as the sound of the man beside him falling to his knees.
It was suddenly a clamor and everyone was surrounding and carrying Hayato out on a stretcher. Crap!! Haru couldn't believe this! What the heck was he going to tell Shou!?
#2 walked during the mess and watched them take away the dark star. His gloved hand slowly slide into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone. He sent a text to the boss that he was serving for now - Matsumoto Izo.
Text from We've run into a snag. Hayato has fallen ill and has just been hospitalized.
As the doctors raced off with Hayato, Haru took a deep breath and talked to several nurses trying to find out what to expect and how to manage this situation.
In Tokyo, Izo stared coldly at the phone. He had been getting private reports from #2 about the mess but this seemed to top the cake with some bloody glaze. His assets were stuck at some frigging hospital in the middle of rural Northern Japan. His fingers ran over the buttons really dang annoyed.
He knew #2 would kill on command and at the moment he seriously considered the thought but there were too many consequences going that road at this point. Hayato had an album coming out soon. Little did the star know it was what kept him from falling any farther. Izo didn't kill...assets.
So Izo texted back after taking a draw from his cigar.
Make sure that Hayato has the best of care and GET SHOU AND RYUUKAZE HOME IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT!
#2 closed his phone and sighed knowing that he'd have to deal with this. If #1 hadn't messed up the rest of the mission, things would have been a lot easier. The silent man walked toward the counter as Yamada was talking to the nurses. In a few minutes, he returned to Yamada's side and put his hand on his shoulder then handed him a note.
Smash's insurance is taking care of this, we need to get the others home. Before anything else happens. We are leaving two men here with Hayato and a car will be arranged for later.
Haru looked the note over and then up to the driver. "I understand but..." His eyes drifted towards where they took Hayato. "Ah...mm...yes....crap."

Everything had happened so quickly... but all Naoko could think about was the boy in his arms. He had to keep Ko safe... Even if he couldn't keep himself from harm... the boy had to be alright.
It was like a single minded focus that blocked everything else out. Ryu was there... but in the blond's mind he also wasn't there. There were voices in the hall that belonged to men Naoko didn't know... which only served to tighten his hold on the sleeping child even more.
But then Yamada... the younger Oumori knew that voice and soon stood, amber eyes focusing on his lover for a moment as he headed out of the room, following his akuma.
Everything would be fine now... Shou was alright and Ryu was alright and there were security guards so...
Part of the adrenaline left Naoko, but he kept his hold on Ko, using the elaborate sleeves of the kimono he still wore as a sort of makeshift blanket for the boy in his arms.
He didn't say anything though, afraid it would wake the sleeper he held... and instead nodded, following the security staff and getting into the limo. It didn't take long to settle himself and Ko down, the boy still napping away in his arms comfortably. Naoko, for his part, sighed in relief at the warmth of the limo's seats and the notion that they were safe.
But not everything was alright it seemed... because Hayato was acting strangely. Shou's concern that the dark star might've caught something was well warranted... but his logic in that he didn't want Ko to catch anything... when the boy was sleeping in the arms of a man who already had a pretty severe cold, seemed misplaced.
"Shou... as much as I don't like him..." Naoko whispered as they sat in the limo, Hayato and Haru having gone into the hospital. "We can't just leave him here... can we? I mean yeah you were their target but... Hayato's still part of SMASH. Is it really safe for him to be here with just two guards? I mean... just look at Ishihara-san. The man's disappeared on us. What if that happens with Hayato's guards too?"
Amber eyes darted to Ryu and the blond frowned, "I'm wore out... can I use your shoulder as a pillow?" he asked, not wanting to lean on his lover if the violinist was already too exhausted to support the pianist's weight... and the weight of the small charge in his lap.

Beautiful Dreamer
Shou had quietly watched out the window while Hamu had gone inside with Jun. He was worried and concerned but there were so many things right now on his mind that it seemed almost like a drop in the bucket. His head leaned on his hand right at his lips just enough to keep himself from plastering his face on the window.
His eyes drifted up to the starlit night and he sought for peace among them only to find that they were cold and distant. So he closed his eyes and took a deeper breath trying to keep himself from drifting too far away from his own center. However, as tired as he was, that was turning out to be difficult.
But then Naoko spoke up bringing his drifting conscious back to the realm of reality once more. His eyes held Naoko's for a short time before spoke, "And what do you expect me to do about it? Magically make everything alright so we can go to Tokyo together? Or maybe you want me to go in there and take up guard duties myself? Or maybe go pine over him awhile and immediately reignite some sort of heavy hot relationship? Might satisfy Ryuukaze-san's over interested need to match make us." he said sarcastically as his annoyance and venom flared with his own frustration.
Then shook his head and said in a sharp tone, "I've made up my mind I'm taking Ko home as soon as the driver comes back to this car. Ko is my priority. My appearance in that hospital would only cause trouble for the patients and the staff. "
He glanced back out the window wishing for once that people would stop trying to meddle with his life. Everyone seemed to try to push their problems off on him in hopes that he'd come up with some miraculous solution. He loved living that world as a star, but up close and personal he was just sick of it.
"We're going back to Tokyo." he said flatly as he stared outside.

Naoko bristled... and it was only by divine intervention that he didn't snap back loudly at the mercurial star.
Amber eyes narrowed and his voice dropped to an angry whisper, not wanting to wake Ko and bring the boy into this chaotic world.
"Of course you can't make everything alright by magic. I'm not an idiot, Shou. And in case you hadn't noticed, you and Jun together is the last thing on earth I want to happen. But I'm not so sick and cynical that I'm ignoring what I saw just a few minutes ago. He's bad, Shou. We're talking about a very volatile man who has deep set issues AND recently got out of a coma. Do you really think it's alright to leave him here with two guards? What if he slips into a coma again? I mean hell... he comes back here from Hawaii half on the warpath for my a** and then suddenly just leaves everything? Disappears! Then he comes and wants to make up with you? He's insane, Shou! I can't claim any better of myself because I've issues too but..."
Naoko stopped, thinking for a moment and trying to calm down. "I don't want him with you. But I also don't want to leave him here with only two guards. Not after Yamada-san getting shot. Not after Ishihara-san disappearing."
It would've been so much easier if Shou were Sai at the moment... Sai had good sense... usually...
"You're frustrated and tired and just all around pissed off because the vacation went to hell. But we didn't take any guards with us. None. If you're so worried about Ko... then you'll never let him go anywhere without a suit to follow him around again. Don't think I enjoy the idea of my every step dogged but it's obvious that someone is targeting Smash musicians. So you can fuss and ruffle your feathers all you want. In the end your a caged peacock, Shou. You have to accept that or something worse will happen next time."
His hold on Ko tightened a bit, a shiver of dread running down his spine at the thought that something might happen to the boy. The small frightened boy who just wanted to stay as far from the dark as possible...
The pianist's gaze rested on Ko as he spoke softly, calmed by the child in his arms. "At least arrange for a helicopter to move Jun from this hospital to one in Tokyo as soon as possible. I know hours in the limo won't do him good but... sure it'll cost some money... but at least he can get a decent security team outside and... well... Ko would probably be sad if he couldn't visit Jun in the hospital... ne?"
