Lady of Spain Smigg-the-Miserable Cup Of Wonder by Jethro Tull. Good song. Tower of Power - You Got To Funkifize You know, outside of my family I think you're the first person I've encountered who even knows who Jethro Tull are.

I'm attempting to get Chill FM going on my computer, but music has a vendetta against all my computers.
I have The Clash in my head for no reason.

Lady of Spain Invictus_88 Fantastic.I've been listening to this regularly for a week or so now, and I am very much a fan. Wow, thanks for the link. People really knew how to play music back then, not like these technically impeccable but musically sterile whizz kids from China that seem to dominate classical music today. I have a few issues with Ferras' performance there, but you have to love the power and intensity of it. What were the few issues, by the way?
I'm no expert, so have no idea.

I'm no expert, so have no idea. The biggest bumwrap was some of his shifts. The slides were sometimes just totally excessive, bordering on tasteless, I think most string players would agree. No idea what he was thinking there. My other more general complaint was that it was a bit...aggressive, lacking in delicacy, at times. For instance at the end of the candenza-which-isn't-a-normal-cadenza, when he hits that top D, it was missing a certain beauty which I've heard in other performances. Generally though, it felt rather forceful at times.

Cemetry Gates by The Smiths, which actually seems a much cheerier song than the title would suggest.
