Feral stared at her long and hard for a moment as she explained her feelings and what she thought may have happened. Truth be told, it wasn't a far stretch for the prince to believe. He knew she possessed magic, possibly greater than his own Alicorn magic. And it wasn't unheard of for magic to make others feel the effects of love. There was a tale, passed down through the jungle vines from pony to pony, that ran through his village of a Princess in a land far beyond their jungle, with pale pink fur and a heart large enough to fit a thousand suns. It was said that her alicorn magic could produce the feelings of love in two ponies. Though he had never seen this princess, nor knew of its truth, the tale was repeatedly told midst the teens and old mares of his tribe.
But this wasn't a feeling of love. It wasn't desire or lust, or even a feeling of finding a soul mate. It was a united feeling. A bond. One that now tied them together, and he very much doubted her simple daydreamed fantasies could have produced a magical tie this strong.
"I'm sorry but I do not believe you are the cause of this Brisoca. Magic is a mighty powerful thing, and I believe this was done by something far beyond our knowledge and understanding." he stated simply, staring down at her with a mixture of concern and sorrow. "I promise you I will find an answer if that is what will rest your tears. I also promise you I harbor no ill will towards you, whatever you believe." he then smiled, reaching up to brush her hair back from her face.
The thoughts she had did not surprise him, in fact he had expected them, though he kept those conclusions to himself. Admitting, he had feelings growing for her he could not explain himself, though they conflicted with the strong feelings he harbored for his absent lady. His lady he had tucked in the back of his mind since he had arrived and failed to locate as of yet. His own selfish feelings.
Speaking of selfishness. "What are we if not a bit selfish?" he said, suddenly chuckling and shaking his head. "My lady had always said, without a few selfish thoughts here and there, we would not be ourselves. We would live for nothing and strive for nothing. We would simply just be... and just being is not near as fun as living." he grinned.
His ears flickered to the sound of a shouted announcement inside, catching just the tale end of a mention of some sort of game in a maze? Perhaps that would put a smile back on her face. "Come, Bree. Let us not worry now, let us simply live!" he beamed, gently dragging her back into the ballroom. "Let us partake in festivities and laugh and smile. Tonight is a night that should be celebrated!" he urged, giving her no choice in the matter.
For once, he had made up both their minds and he wasn't going to take no for an answer.Irish Night Fox Wooo game time so it makes sense!

A figure with a light orange scarf and hood glided across the ballroom depositing a rather large gift with an oversized golden bow on top beside the already huge pile of presents for Venusthe couple .
Her appearance was altogether concealed quite nicely and she blended into the crowd effortlessly. After placing the oversized pink box on the floor, she exited the festivities as gracefully and swiftly as she'd entered.

Lila smiled when he agreed with her, and then just looked blown away when he proclaimed he won and then blew her off, "No You didn't!" she claimed to him "Besides, if he should let me win so should you." she humphed at him. She had no idea that the male behind him had disagreed for any reason whatsoever nor had said anything about it. Had she known what he said in the end though, she may have even agreed. Hmm, that didn't work so well. Maybe another shot. Hanging upside down, Himeros drew two more arrows and fired.
One arrow hit a starry female demon (Lila) and the next hit a handsome, snake-like demon (Tanyth) nearby. Ooo...perhaps this would be amusing to watch....wait, wasn't he trying to do something else a moment ago?

How did Aunt Artemis manage this again? Himeros MAY have been hanging by his hands this time and attempting to shoot with his feet...
How did she do this with hooves?!? He knew he'd seen her do this once before...
Somehow, whether the arrow more fell from the ceiling or actually was shot to hit them, Himeros managed to hit another couple of Pae.

Woah, blood rushing to his head...all this hanging upside down was starting to make him feel a little woozy. Normally, he liked when his blood started rushing...
One more pair to stir things up, then he'd check on the lovely ladies below. Maybe they'd like to turn those aggressive, burning thoughts towards something more...pleasant.

The maneuver had been flashy, but had taken long enough to capture Naveed's attention that he wasn't just standing and staring at her this time. It may have been mildly impressive. A little.
As soon as she landed and gestured, he immediately hooked her beckoning finger with his own. "You're on." Then, she slipped from his reach again.
It didn't matter though. He was getting closer.
((And off they go to the maze game! XD))

Not only was she interested in him...but she was humble as well. How attractive! As drawn to her as he'd apparently succeeded in making her drawn to him, Danya stepped closer, retaining contact as they slipped away from the crowd. His courage bolstered, learning she thought him memorable as well, he lifted her hand to kiss it once more. "My dear, just because colors are dark does not mean they're not just as striking as light ones. Some prefer a dark beauty as one that's more mysterious, more desirable..."
Raising an eyebrow, Danya inquired, "Adrasteia? Do you dance?"

Perhaps getting a bit distracted by the adorable ways of the couples in love, Dylo was slacking on the job! Straightening up, he got back into the game of assisting with the single mingler's, firing off another pair of arrows.

Adrasteia blinked for a moment. Perhaps this male had a point. Just because one was different than another did not mean they were less attractive in the eyes of the beholder. These were clever words she may have to retain for later use. And then this one asked of her to dance. The literal answer that came to mind was, 'No.' ... but for some reason her lips didn't form the word. However, a very peculiar phrase left her mouth. One that she would not have expected herself to form. "I have never experienced dancing, myself. Though I have watched many others in the act. Tell me, Danya...." she started, eyes stoically flashing towards the crowds now behind them. "What is it that others find enjoyable in this act of spontaneous flailing of the arms and legs-" she asked, pointing to a random Pae literally flailing in an act of dancing... Apparently they paid no mind to the art. "... - or in their case," She again began, turning her attention to a lovely couple slowly swaying side to side in each other's arms. "... pivoting from one side to the other as if rocking on a log at sea together?" "Is it... 'enjoyable' to be dancing in such ways?" Her dark eyes turned back to Danya as she seemed to wait his answer.

Okay, okay...things were turning out if not as dangerous, at least far more strange than last year! Attempting to shove down the panic that was quickening her...his?...breathing, Moana had to take a moment to calm while staring at her new form before she dared look back at her companion.
She blinked a few times, seeming to calm somewhat, even if the sight made no more sense to her than what she'd seen of herself. So wait...she was male now and Terran was...female? Why? HOW? It made no sense! Yet, as she worried over these thoughts, her eyes were drawn to the movement of his hands and where they'd ended up, a wry grin creeping onto the Naiad's face...
Moana shook her head again to dispel the thoughts. This was not the time to be thinking of her friend like that! Nor his new feminine body. Instead, she felt a strange new feeling stir within her chest. Confused, she acted upon it without thinking, reaching for one of Terran's hands to offer comfort. (No, Moana, you don't need to replace the hand you moved with one of your own...) "Hey," she patted his delicate hand gently, hopefully in a reassuring manner. "I don't know what's going on, but we'll figure this out. Together." She smiled, suddenly thinking back to how they'd gotten here.
Hmm...she'd really thought she'd only been kidding before when she'd promised to come along as his body guard. Well, she wasn't going to back down now. They were in this together...as they had been before, and they'd made it through then, so they could do it again. Together.
The thought was strangely reassuring.
