Nikki was giggling as the mermaid glared at her. Suddenly the frustrated mermaid picked
up a rock and chucked it back at Nikki. Too stunned to dodge Nikki got smacked between
the eyes for 1 point of damage. "Gah! The heck?!" she yelped as she staggered back.

Glaring in the direction of the bemused, if not somewhat unsteady looking mermaid Nikki
retreated from the field. I need to re-think my strategy. No worries I'll get her Nikki thought.

Nikki decided now was the time to strike back against the offending mermaid from the day
before. With a yell she ran onto the field and chucked a projectile at the startled creature.
The ball flew into the mermaid and knocked her out before bouncing and plonking another
foe for 1 damage. "Sweet! I've defeated 10 merpeeps! Tons more to go!" Nikki laughed.

On an emotional high Nikki flung her algae ball into the hoard, not aiming for anyone in
particular. With a satisfying THUD! Nikki heard as well as saw her attack down a merman
in one hit. "Gosh this is so awesome! I can't believe how good I'm doing!" she beamed.

Nikki was giggling and hopping like an excited school girl being asked out by her crush.
She felt bright and alert as she threw her next ball at an unsuspecting target. It thwacked
them quite soundly and the mermaid fainted. "Oh wow oh wow oh WOWZA! I got another
one! I wish I had more energy but que sera, sera! I'll get more of 'em later!" she chortled.

Nikki figured she might as well squeeze in a few more attacks before bedtime. With a call
of "Boop!" she tossed a ball at the earlier enemy. It landed with a plop on their shoulder
for 1 more damage. Nikki gave a satisfied nod. It wasn't as if there was a need to rush.

Nikki spun around as she let another algae fly towards the hoard of badies. It sailed into
the group knocking an unsuspecting merman out for the count. "Booyah!" Nikki cheered.

Nikki turned to the half defeated mer from earlier. She smiled sweetly as she threw the
evening's final attack. It landed squarely on target taking them down. "Well that was
immensely satisfying" Nikki giggled. "Everything's all set for a fresh start tomorrow!"

After being away from the fight a little longer than she planned Nikki scurried onto the field.
Trying to make up for lost time Nikki hurled a ball as hard as she could at the closest foe.
"Direct hit!" she shouted as her attack took the merman down in one. "Thank goodness."

Still brimming with energy, Nikki threw another algae at a nearby mermaid. To her
surprise she hit the female mer just hard enough to knock her out. "A double KO?!
That's awesome! I'm glad I'm pulling my weight today..." Nikki said feeling joyful.

Nikki was feeling completely bubbly as she skipped around the field. Laughing she
chucked her last projectile. It sailed harmlessly over the heads of the merpeople and
hit the water with a PLUNK! "Ah oops! I should've paid more attention!" Nikki cried as
she watched the ball sink below the surface. "I'll try again later I suppose" she sighed.

Nikki sleepily staggered towards the fight. She wanted to try to make up for time
lost yesterday. As Nikki blearily prepared to launch her attack a merman snuck up
behind and bonked her on the head. "EEP!" Nikki yelped as she staggered away.

Feeling huffy with the merman Nikki turned her glare in his direction. "You wanna play
that way, huh buddy? FINE BY ME!" she shouted as she threw an algae ball with all the
strength she could muster. With a resounding SMACK! the merman went cross-eyed and
fell to the ground. "Serves you right you big meanie" Nikki said sticking her tongue out.

With her adrenaline ebbing, Nikki found she had no real desire to continue the
fight. Closing her eyes Nikki let her last attack fly wildly. She opened her eyes
just in time to see her foes staring with odd looks of confusion as the ball flew
completely off course. "Eheehee... Maaaybe I shouldn't do this when I'm so
sleepy" Nikki giggled as she stretched and wandered off to bed for the night.

Still feeling a bit off from yesterday, Nikki tried to focus on the fight. Unfortunately she
still hadn't quite shaken her slump. "Gaaah... I missed AGAIN!" she cried as the algae
sailed harmlessly past all the mers swimming nearby. "I need to try harder" she sighed.
