I will now tell the guild of the time SCAD had a blackout for 10 hours and the lobby flooded.

It was a very hot April day, and there was this crazy a** storm that rolled in through Atlanta. I lived in the spring house dorms and wasn't used to crazy s**t like this, having come from the north.

The lightning got really bad and literally blacked out the entire mid-town section of Atlanta, and part of Buckhead. Our dorms were AMAZING and had no sort of back up generators, not even emergency flood lights.

At one point, a few friends and I thought it'd be smart to retrieve s**t from our dorms (which was just a refurbished motel, and all the rooms connected to open-air breezeways), we waited until the storm died down a tiny bit and ran up the stairs as fast as ******** possible, only to get half way to my room when this big a** lightning bolt struck and split overhead 30 feet away, one half hitting the front of the parking lot, the other hitting the air conditioning unit, completely frying it.

We nearly s**t outrselves and make a desprate run to my room, since it was the closest, only to realize the battery in my card reader has also died somehow, so we ran towards his room when the rain picked back up and I was like FUCCCCCCCCK EVERYTHING and ran down the emergency stairs, back to the lobby. U uU

Which was flooded.

I made my way to our group of friends, who had holed up in the TV room, and startled everyone because like...everyone freaked the ******** out when I kicked the door open in my panic.

My friend Cody then proceeded to tell creepy pasta stories and I didn't sleep at all and class was at 8am the next day. 8D

I also pulled my mattress onto the floor and slept next to my roommate and had a friend stay over because I was so scared (and the power was still out)
